Build a slide show with various photos from different events?

Is it possible to select various photos from a few different events, and then select "Create slideshow"?
How do I select just the specific photos I want for the slideshow, and not load the entire event(s).

You can also select one or more photos, then create a new slideshow (Add to->Slideshow->New Slideshow), then open any other Event or album and drag selected photos onto the slideshow's icon in the left panel. You can reorder the slides in the horizontal strip at the top of the main panel when viewing the slideshow.

The only way I have figures out to product a slide show with titles is too put the title on in Photoshop and this is very time consuming. With all the different ways to make slides shows with Studio Pro, Imovie, Iphoto, etc. is there an efficient way to place titles on each slide.

I already have the code for the slide show. What I need now is how do I reference or point to a keyframe that contains the last slide as the background with buttons and hyperlinks? Perhaps, I also need a way to not showing this slide until the last? How do I do that? This last slide with buttons and links are on it's own layer.
The other route would be to create the buttons and hyperlinks in the AS3 code instead of design time. If so, how do I do on the last slide?

Email photos from different events in iPhoto

I can't figure out how to email photos that are in different events.
I must say I find iPhoto 11 to be exasperating. It was often so much more convenient to just cut and paste a photo into Mail.

Another way is to flag the photos, go to the Flagged smart album, select all and email from there. Then unflag the photos.

Slide show with various lightboxes

So basically I am creating my website to show my portfolio. I have several pages that show my work e.g. illustrations and photography. I have created a slider that flicks through various images. Some of these images say "click to see more" so I want a lightbox to appear when the user does this. I have multiple images in the same slider that I want to do this with. Any ideas? I have tried using a composition presentation as this enables a lightbox to be inserted to different slides, but i can't seem to be able to set like a master style for each slide. If anyone knows how to do this then I reckon I could achieve what I want through using compositions rather than slideshows.

D810 RAW conversion in LR 5.6 shows posterization at certain camera profiles: Camera Standard, vivid, monochrome that it does not show with identical photos from a D800. Is this bug already known?

Never had this problem seen before in all my years of LR use. I use a test-chart with a continuous gray bar (from dark to light). Normally use Camera Standard profile to develop all my D800 RAW files with no problem so far. Got a D810 to test this week and did some tests using the same target. Suddenly there are some ugly posterization effects in the gray bar to be seen that can only be eliminated with heavy color-noise reduction or by switching to any other profile but Camera standard, Camera Vivid, Camera monochome.

I am trying to send an album but want the receiver to get them as a slide show. does someone knows how?

Note that any kind of file containing a slide show with multiple photos is going to be quite large, most likely, and thus is not really appropriate for e-mail. Many servers won't accept attachments beyond a certain size, many people operate with strict mailbox size limits, and so your message may never arrive at its destination. I'd encourage you to do something else. For example, I think you can create a movie file - possibly using iMovie, I'm not sure though. Do that and upload it to YouTube, then send people an e-mail invitation to view it. If desired, YouTube allows you to set it to be viewable only to those who are invited and not to the general public.

If the DVD is to play on a DVD Player, then Share -> Send to iDVD as iDVD is the only app that creates the correct file structure and format for this purpose.
If the DVD is just to hold the file, then Export to the desktop and burn with the Finder.

Photoshop, Elements, or LR - for photo slide show with music

Are those the only choices you want to consider? Which do you already use? Here's my take on the slideshow capability in each:
Photoshop CS6 and CC: You can create slieshows in a video format but you will have to crawl through hoops and climb barrels to get what you want. The timeline feature of Photoshop is not exactly intuitive.
Elements: Can't comment since I have never used the software.
Lightroom: much easier than Photoshop to create a slideshow but also extremely feature limited. Slideshows can run directly from the software or rendered as a video. Only one music track is allowed with limtied transitions effects. Want the fabled 'Ken Burns' effect? Forget it!
Neither of these choices specifically target slideshow creation and I would certainly not pick any for this purpose (unless you already use them). Best to seek software dedicated for slideshows. Several are free.

Ipad: photo slide show with music problem.

Using the ipad, looking at my photo's, I select a photo, select slide show and knowing that I have already set the play music with slide show, I then press the Airplay icon. Seconds later the slide show starts on the Apple TV, but there is no music. I have checked the settings in the photo app and the music is selected in the slide show settings, what have I not done, or is there a bug in Airplay?

I am a hybrid sort of guy. I have a bland Acer desktop with Windows 7 hard-wired to a Netgear WNDR3700 router. My AppleTV is connectected optically to a set of self-powered speakers. The Sony TV is connected to the same speakers through the analog RCA output and to the Apple TV via HDMI. The AppleTV slideshow works fine with the photos from my desktop. I can simultaneously stream music from iTunes on my desktop through the self-powered speakers via the optical connection. I am currently working on a slideshow of Christmases Past while playing my Xmas playlist from iTunes. So I get photos and music simultaneously but they are not strictly connected to each other. Kind of klutzy work-around, but my family seems impressed.

You can batch process a set of prepared slides from Full Edit (see image) using:
File >> Process Multiple Files
In the PMF dialog you can choose filename, date, or description (caption)
Make sure you choose a separate destination folder to your source folder so as tot to permanently overwrite your originals.

My Photos app works the same on iOS 5 as it did on iOS 4 i.e. I can have a different track for each album. When I select a track for a photo album I then start the slideshow so that it shows the first couple of photos with the track playing - I'm not sure it's necessary to start the slideshow but I always do and it remembers that track for that album.

When I send an email with a photo from snow leopard to email of a lion user, the photo shows up in the Lion email sideways. When they email it back it returns to correct position. Is there something in Lion causing this?

I recently tried sending myself an email through Thunderbird to another email account to see if that was the case, but the email came in with a font so tiny that it was unreadable. I had chosen a font type and size (arial 10) and just coming into my outlook inbox was virtually unreadable.
And referring to the person I work with, she doesn't have problems getting anyone else's emails, just ones I send from Thunderbird.

The way that you would transfer photos from iPhoto to the iPad would be to sync with iTunes. Connect the iPad to your Mac with the cable and launch iTunes. Select your iPad under the devices heading on the left. Then click on the Photos tab in the iTunes window on the right. You can select the folder from which you want to sync your photos in the drop down menu bar - so select iPhoto there. Then select the album or events that you want to sync from the windows below. After you have made your selections, click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
I am not sure how the iPad will handle a slide show in the photos app that was created on your Mac. You can create basic slide shows on the iPad using the different albums, events or faces that you have in the Photo app, but as for the captioning that you have already set up, I don't know how that will work in the app when you sync the slide show.

Slide show with fixed page width

I made this previously in another side (e.g. thaisailing.com): to have a slide show at 100% page width so that it scales from left to right, independant of the window size. But this time it will not succeed. If I take a rectancle and fill it with one image, it works fine. But not with a slide show element. It always goes back to the side of the inner space only. How can I have a slide show with full page with (not full screen)? Thanks,
