Build an automatic eCATT with several steps

Hi!
I looking for suitable documentation for e-CATT (e.g. how to build and integrate automatic e-CATT scenarios).
I have created very simple eCATT from tcode SECATT (for tcode MM01 in SAP ECC 05 system) and would like to extend this functionality:
Especially the following information is of big interest for me:
- how to build an eCATT with several steps (e.g. including several transactions)
- how to do this automatically (in a loop)
Any helpful information or examples will be appreciated.

One does not "see" the images when selecting; You just select two file names, click OK, PhotoShop does the rest, and comes back with same message.

eCATT is a tool to design test scripts.. A test script built by eCATT is like a recorded transaction .. which you use to re run by supplying different test data... means if you record it once.. you can use it with different test data ..
eCATT is part of WAS and is available in ERP and as well as Solution Manager..
Once you build all the eCATT's in ERP you can assign them to (SOLAR02-Configuration window) the blue print.. .. there is tab test cases where you can attach a test script which you created in ERP and the variant (Test data) which is to be used while testing.. (Test script + Test data) become one test case...
You can build test plan basing on all the test cases you attached to blueprint... STWB_2....You need select which all test cases are part of this test plan...
Once the test plan is created you have to create test packages which are collection of test cases and you can assign testers to these test packages.....
Once these test packages are assigned to testers the testers can access the test cases attached to them and they can run them... ecatt runs automatically and with designated data and will record the result.. Transaction STWB_WORK for testers to access the test packages...
eCATT - is to automate testing....
Solution Manager - Provides test work bench where you can create test plans, test packages.... allowing you to manage testing. monitoring and reporting...

Configure a project with several toolkits ?

Hello everybody,
Here are my problem and my question.
In my case, I use a RCP application so I configured my project with a RCP toolkit. But during my automated tests with Jubula, there are some elements whose aren't recognized by Jubula.
In fact, these elements aren't RCP components but I recognized HTML components (hypertext links), AWT/SWING components (tree), kind of array and maybe others... And that, I didn't know and it was a surprise because for me, a RCP application only uses RCP components.
I understood the control on the application depends on the choosen toolkit. So with my setup, I can only interact with the RCP elements.
So one day, could we configure a project with several toolkits ?

I tested my program and there isn't modification.
But I got another question.
When we use replaceText function (and maybe other functions), I saw there is a "default event handler" step included in the Test Result. In the application, there are text fields whose use a tabulation, it's automatic when the user enters the good number of characters. And I can't change that because it's required by the company (time saving for the testers).
I have this error detail in the properties of Replace Text function :
Type : Action Error
Error Description : Timeout received before confirming the posted event
Is there a way to desactivate this step ?

I want to open a folder in a separate window by clicking on it. For some reason when I click on a folder it just replaces the one I was just in. I want them both to be open at the same time without having to go through several steps.

Eric, thanks that works but seems like an extra added step also to do it that way. I've got to move and organize a ton of files and I'm looking for a easy way to get this done. I could also open the folder into a separate tab and then drag the tab out so it becomes an open window but thats a lot of fussing around also with extra steps. Not sure why these newer operating system seems more confusing and less user friendly than what they used to. In the past I could just click on any folder and it would open in a separate window making it really easy to copy or move files from one place to the other just by simply dragging them from one window to the other. Seems like I'm going through several extra steps now to do a simple task.

Problem with tutorial; "Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using "

I've got a rather new installation of Vista Business x64 on my developer rig, and last week I installed the new JDeveloper 11g version. The installation was all-inclusive, no customization on my end.
In addition I've got a test installation of an Oracle DB 11gR1 on an available server here.
To familiarize myself with the new JDeveloper I decided to spend some time with the JDeveloper 11g tutorials found here: http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/11/index.html.
I've started twice on the second tutorial, "Build a Web Application with JDeveloper 11g Using EJB, JPA, and JavaServer Faces", and find myself repeatedly stuck at step 19 in section "Creating the Data Model and Testing it".
It seems impossible to deploy the application to the default application server. The server starts fine on its own, I can access it via the admin console on port 7001 and it looks good. I'm not that familiar with these things but it seems to me that there is an issue with port numbers here. The application seems to expect a app.server service at port 7101, but does'nt find one.
Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be appreciated?

It fails in a similar way.
What I did was; create a simle 'Hello World' html file, saving it with the jsp extension. In Jdev11g i made a new application and an emtpy project, then loaded the jsp file and made it the default run-target. This compiles nicely.
When running the project it first attempts to start the WebLogicServer (WLS). After a few minutes it is started as seen in the "Running: DefaultServer" pane:

The WLS is still running though as I can still access its adm console.
To me it seems that it is attempting to start a separate instance of the WLS for each run attempt, but then I could be wrong.....:(
Later I'll try to change the default WLS port from 7001 to 7101 as suggested in another port here.
I must admit that I'm a bit surprised that the JDev11g doesn't work fine at this very simple level when performing a default install.

Sharing Itunes Library with several users on the same computer

I'm trying to share the iTunes library on a SP2 system. I placed the Itunes folder on a partition and setted iTunes to use this folder in each user account but...
When one add musics to the library, thoses musics are not visible once switched to another user account.
How to really share the same library with several user accounts one the same machine ?

Note that Otto42's post is from March 2006. This is way before iTunes 7, which allows you to move the iTunes folder.
His steps will work but are much too involved and unneeded.
Rather than using TweakUI (and possibly messing up something), just move the entire iTunes folder to a shared directory and hold Shift when starting iTunes, then select Choose library and go to the iTunes folder.
All changes made by any user will be to all users.
Note that only one user at a time will be able to access iTunes.

Iphone 5s no longer automatically reconnects with my car bluetooth

Can it even be set to do this?
The only code in the style.xml that looks like it might be realted is line 12 <playOptions playMode="pause"/>, changing that to "play" does nothing.

I'm working on "Building Your First Process with Oracle BPM 11g" I'm at the end of step where assigns user for the requester. The problem is in identity lookup, "Realm" is empty for Remote_WLServer.
Servers are up and running. Demo user community has been loaded - I can see the list of users and groups in the administration server under myrealm. We haven't done much since SOA suite 11g installation. I'm probably the first one who uses this. I wonder we have a missing set up? Can you me what's missing? Appreciate your help in advance.

I have installed JDeveloper 9i, 10g, and 11g in my laptop. SOA is installed on linux.

Building for iPad3 Retina with FB4.7 & AIR 3.5

If I build a basic application with only a button and deploy it to an iPad 3, the size of the button appears smaller then If I were to build the same application and run it on an iPad2 (where the button appears the normal size).
This is do not understand. I can't find a single bit of info on deploying to an iPad with a retina display anywhere on the net when using Air3.5 and FB4.7.
I was under the impression that AIR3.5 can deploy for iOS5.1 and hence support retina displays fine (which 3.1 could not on a windows machine).
What are the basic steps to creating an appication usng FB4.7 and AIR3.5 that scale items correctly when viewed on a retnina display please?

Both methods are valid. I think you will be surprised how crisp things look on iPad retina scaled 200% but if quality is a concern then yes you can definitely have different images for the different resolutions.

I would start with scaling everything up first and then if you are not pleased with the look I would move on to making higher quality images for the higher resolutions.

Schedule a Job with multiple steps via ABAP Program

Hi Friends,
I want to create a report(Ex: ZREP) that will run another program(Ex: ZPGM) in background. What I need to do is, when I execute the report ZREP it should run the ZPGM automatically in background. This background execution should happen through JOB with multiple steps.
Why i am mentioned steps is, i have 1000 records in ZTABLE and need to execute 100 records each in one step and need to proecess in ZPGM with selection parameters. So in my case my job should create with 10 steps and need to execute in sequential manner.
FYI, In the ZREP selection screen i need to enter the records count/ interval to derive the job steps.
Please guide how to go ahead? Thanks in advance for all the help.

the .exists(n#) method will just check if the n# element exists. there is no build in function to locate or compare record or who oracle says;
Comparing Records
Records cannot be tested for nullity, or compared for equality, or inequality.
If you want to make such comparisons, write your own function that accepts two records as parameters and does the appropriate checks or comparisons on the corresponding fields.

Problem in building an Eclipse installation with oomph

I am setting up an Eclipse distribution with several plugins needed to have a proper IDE for an Eclipse Project (GEF).
When adding the plugins to Eclipse everything is Ok, until I install the Oomph Version Management Tool plugin.
After installing the Oomph VMT Plugin, from the next startup I see the below error:

Indeed, I checked in the About eclipse features for the Oomph, and I saw the Version Management Tool version is not matching with Oomph Setup Core , but only for a small "delta"
I tried to do an Update of the IDE using the Help > Check for updates, but I realized it is not a Complete IDE update , as suggested in the bug 473599.
So, I have two questions:
how to perform a Complete IDE Update ?
how can I make a consistent installation, by assembling the five plugins above, including the Oomph version management ?

The p2f file that you mentioned in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=473599 seems totally useless to me. It
locks in specific versions of the listed IUs, no matter whether the identified repositories will provide those versions
in the future or not. For example:

I'm not 100% sure but I think you can't easily get out of this inconsistent state because the plugins that would do that
for you are also impacted. I would recommend that you create a new installation with Oomph's Eclipse Installer.

I would suggest that you put pressure on the GEF people to provide a GEF project setup model, so that you can just add
it to your install.
