Build fieldcatalog from a catalog type lvc_t_fcat
Hi experts,
i'm getting a short dump when i want to create a field catalog using function module REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE.
Short dump says:
Runtime Error CALL_FUNCTION_CONFLICT_TAB_TYP
Exception CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE
and i think it came from type of fieldcatalog.
Internal table:
BEGIN OF it_za91 OCCURS 0,

datbi LIKE a908-datbi,
field_style TYPE lvc_t_styl,
END OF it_za91.
Fieldcatalog
DATA: fieldcatalog TYPE lvc_t_fcat
What should i do?
Thank you.
Thank you my friends.
I'm getting this strange behavior when i call FM LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE. If i declare a local structure when i call FM LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE fieldcatalog would be empty. If I'm creating a structure from SE11 , it's OK.
So, everytime when i want to create am LVC fieldcatalog i must create a structure from SE11 ???

There is a way to create a fieldcatalog using LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE but without creating a structure via SE11?

Improper update of Catalog Type from Notification into QMUR table
Hello SAP'ians,
I have created several Service Notifications, while doing so I have also filled up the related code grps/codes into "Causer Code" catalog available in the "Item" tab.
technically, this entries can be viewed in the table QMUR. I see all the entries like code grps/codes available except for the Catalog type in the filed VUKAT. No matter whatever the entries I make/edit in the causer code catalog, the catalog type[VUKAT] is not at all fillled with the entries and is always blank. Is this a bug in SAP?
Request your kind suggestions in resolving the issue.
Thanks
PrasadHi Maheswaran,
Yes URKAT is infact filled with cause code catalog type. But for the causer code catalog type generally it is filled in "VUKAT :cattype-rep party".

Field catalog lvc_s_fcat / lvc_t_fcat
Hi,
My dynamic internal creation is first done by filling up a field catalog of type lvc_s_fcat, before calling CREATE_DYNAMIC_TABLE.
To specify the type of a particular field within the catalog I do this:
DATA: li_fldcat TYPE lvc_t_fcat,
lw_fldcat TYPE lvc_s_fcat.
lw_fldcat-fieldname = 'CINFO'.
lw_fldcat-datatype = 'slis_t_specialcol_alv'.
APPEND lw_fldcat TO li_fldcat.
Unfortunately lw_fldcat-datatype only receives four characters ("CHAR", "INT1", "NUMC", etc)
Does anyone know how I can have it receive a custom type?
Note: slis_t_specialcol_alv is a table type.
Thanks!hi,

Difference between type lvc_t_fcat and slis_t_fieldcat_alv
Can you tell me the difference between type lvc_t_fcat and slis_t_fieldcat_alv?
Both are used for field catalogue so which one is better to use?Hi,
the field catalog using lvc_t_fcat has some better and enhanced features over the old slis_t_fieldcat_alv.
Ideally when displayed a normal ALV using these fieldcatalogs does not have any difference...
You can more enhanced features of ALV using lvc_t_fcat but these cannot be done using slis_t_fieldcat_alv
For using lvc_t_fcat, you require a screen and a container area...
Based on the requirement, use the fieldcatalogs.
Also slis_t_fieldcat_alv does not have any classes or methods but the other has so..(objecct oriented)

Building report from PL/SQL cursor
Hello,
is there any way to build APEX report using just PL/SQL cursor?
I don't have grant to SELECT from views or tables, but I can use some functions returning row types and cursors. I know I can use them to build table from scratch with htp.p etc., but it’s not very nice. I want to do it using APEX reporting with filtering and pagination functionality.
Is it possible?
Regards,
PrzemekApologies for the delay, I was out of the office.
Below is a package serving as the basis for creating a view based on a pipelined function. The package is just a skeleton and will not compile in its current form, you will need to go through it filling in the blanks as described by the comments.
If you want some control over what rows are returned by the view from a larger result set, use the set_parameters function in the WHERE clause, E.G.:
select * from really_big_complicated_slow_view where 1 = view_pkg.set_parameters(something_that_reduces_the_view_result_set_size);
Or, a more concrete example:
select result_text from view_to_convert_to_csv where 1 = view_pkg.set_parameters(pi_table => 'my_table', pi_where = 'whatever');
In the spirit of full disclosure, I got the idea for using the "set_parameters" function in the view WHERE clause from a post or blog somewhere a couple of years ago but have lost track of who actually deserves the credit for the good idea.

Thanks aheadHi Hooi,
I'd like to know whether you can build successfully in your local machine with MSBuild. You have to build succeed with MSBuild beore you can build with TFS Build since TFS build use MSBuild as its default compiler.
From the error message, you might build with wrong platform for your project. Please check if the build platfrom is proper. If you have customization of your build process template, it would be better to elaborate the reproduce steps and customization details.
Best regards, -

InDesign CC fails to remove the pages from the catalog that I have prepared!
It stops the program suits the times and I have to make a forced exit!
This puts a very important issue!
We seek the solution in the short term.Just done: the application crashes trying to export IDML!!!
This is not a good sign. Try moving the pages to another document using the Pages panel menu.
But you should also try copying all the items on one page and pasting them into another document.
Then when you've got a few pages in the new document, try moving or deleting them. Or try exporting as IDML.
Also, build a completely new sample document (doesn't have to be all the information) from scratch and try deleting/moving those pages.
This will help us see if it's just one document or all. -
Exception:Error getting property 'add' from bean of type sample1.edit
Hi when i try to build and run the applicaiton it is displaying that build and run is successful. But when i try to access the jsp page through the url then it is showing error as below.
Exception Details:org.apache.jasper.JasperException
Error getting property 'add' from bean of type sample1.edit
Can anyone please help me out from this problem.
Thank you in Advance.I solved the problem. The issue was everytime I was compiling only the JSP and the componenets couldn't recognize the bean methods.
Now I am running the project after any changes.

RQL Query to get the specific range of product items from product catalog.
Hi All,
I need to do the batch wise query to product catalog.
For that i have use Query builder but that is giving me repeated items, now i wanted to use RQL using rqlStatement.
Please help me in solving the issue.
Query which i have used using QueryBuilder.
RepositoryView productView = productRepo.getView("product");
QueryBuilder productBuilder = productView.getQueryBuilder();
Query productQuery = productBuilder.createUnconstrainedQuery();
RepositoryItems[] productItems = productView.executeQuery(productQuery,startIndex,endIndex);
Can anybody help me in writing RQL Query to get the specific range of product items from product catalog.Hi Shakuntala,
There is no executeQuery method defined in RqlStatement Interface, which will accept index for output result.
So As far as I know, what u are trying to achieve is not possible with RQL statements OOTB way.U can consider range of results based on some condition from Repository items.
Please let me know if u find any way to implement it.
Above Query builder should always return different ids if range is not overlapping with previous range.
Please verify that repeated items ids are same or different,
Quoting from API docs:
RepositoryItem[] executeQuery(Query pQuery,
int pStartingIndex,
int pEndingIndex)
throws RepositoryException
Executes the given query and returns an array of matching RepositoryItems, which are contained within a total potential result set. For example used if one wanted to retrieve elements 50-60 from a query which could return 100 elements.

Nitin. -

e_dyntab_tb-scrtext_l = this "should" be the 1st row(Column Heading Title) for the dynamic itab

column heading in the MS Excel
Legend:
How can I extract the entries of e_dyntab_tb-scrtext_l to an internal table containing the same structure of <fs_line_reftab>?Maybe I missed something, but you already have the long text for the columns in your FCAT structure. The problem you will have is that you will NOT be able to place those fields in the table that you have created because the headings will always be text and the columns may or may not be text (i.e. placing a heading into a numeric). You will be required to use a different structure.
Since you are writing a custom export, you will need to do one of the following:
Option A:
1. Retrieve the layout from the ALV as it will not necessarily be the same as when the original was created. The user may have moved a column or hidden one.
2. Create a structure for the export file that has only text fields. It should contain all of the columns from the FCAT. This can be done by creating another dynamic table and using the original FCAT and current layout.
3. Insert the headings as the first row of the export file.
4. Loop thru the internal table, compare it with the layout, and only insert the requested records into the export file.
5. Export the file.
or Option B:
1. Make sure the internal table has only text fields and insert the headings as the first record.
2. Insert all other records with fields converted to alphanumeric.
3. Use the standard export function.
Hope this helps,

XSRF error when returning to SRM from external catalog
Hello,
We recently applied support package stack 19 to our SRM 5.0 development system, and after doing so found that some of our configured catalogs began producing an XSRF error when attempting to populate the SRM shopping cart with items from the catalog. The symptoms encountered are practically identical with those described in Note 1615697 ("Return to SRM application from Catalogs result in Dump"). This error did not occur prior to applying support packages.
In an effort to resolve the problem, we applied the following Notes that described the same or similar symptoms:
1551982: Cross Site Request Forgery Protection for stateless BSP
1596088: frequent dumps in ITS services
1607780: Update #5 to security note 1522651
1613427: ITS Services lead to XSRF Dumps
1615697: Return to SRM application from Catalogs result in Dump
1619323: Frequent Dump issue in ITS
1621525: Dump in Vendor list service
1629031: BBP_BACKGROUND_APPROVAL service results in dump
1632110: Quotation search help fields results in a Dump
1634612: Frequent Dump issue in ITS in Search screens
1650207: BBP_POC service results in XSRF dump
1658516: Applets sheitern an XSRF-Schutz (COOKIE_NOT_FOUND)
1675491: ITS: CALL BROWSER and termination of a session
This did result in some of our catalogs working that previously were dumping, but we are still having issues with at least two and possibly other catalogs. These are external vendor catalogs using the OCI interface.
The error occurs at the time of transmitting items from the catalog back into the SRM shopping cart. The catalog screen is replaced with an error screen with the messages "The URL https://<<our SRM dev system>>:/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpsc03/ was not called due to an error" and "A:ITS_P:019 XSRF no sec_sesstoken". The shopping cart in the SRM system is lost after this error occurs. No short dump is recorded, but the SM21 system log records the ITS_P 019 error against tcode BBPSC03, program SAPLBBP_SC_UI_ITS.
Most of our catalogs, internal and external, are fine after applying the Notes. Just two external vendor catalogs still exhibit this error.
I experimented with adding a new parameter after the Return URL in the catalog configuration in SPRO with name = ~SAP_SESSTOKEN, value = `SAP_SESSTOKEN`, and type = SAP Field, based upon Note 1481392, but this did not make any change in the behavior.
I have patched the kernel (7.00) to pl335 (pl310 is delivered with sps19).
Anyone else having this sort of issue?

Building DLLs from VIs with array as output
Is there any special way to build DLLs from VIs having arrays as outputs. Suppose I have a VI "Random" with input "nrand" and output an array "the_random2". When I build DLL from the VI, I have something like this in my header file
void __stdcall Random(long nrand, double the_random2[]);
Now it returns void. So I have to pass the array as pointer and retrieve it. If I use Mathscript to load the DLL and call this function, how do I pass the pointer to the array "the_random2"? Simply speaking, any useful method to build DLLs with array outputs and the right way to call them from Mathscript would be appreciated.
Regards
NRKHi,
Building DLLs in LabVIEW is described in this tutorial.
Mathscript can call shared libraries such as DLLs, however make sure
that they are compliant with the supported data types as stated here in
this help page. All supported functions for calling/loading shared libraries is described here.
Note that these functions are not supported with the base package. The
details of the sytax of each function is described in their specific
help page.
Hope this helps!
