Building 2 position, 2 axes mechanical system

I am trying to build a two axis, two position (each axis) mechanical system, and am just trying to pick cost-effective hardware/software. The motors need to hold at < 6 in-lb (~ 65 N-cm) of torque. Speed: slow, resolution: low. Basically no bells and whistles. I am looking at the NI PCI-7332 controller. The website gives me a bunch of accessories to choose from (below), but I don't what is needed, and what is extra. Specifically, are these needed and why?: the MID-7602, the SHC68-C68-S, UMI-7764 (I suppose these are needed for closed loop operation). And of course I will need motors for which I am still looking. The PCI-7332 can't drive a motor directly. Thus you need a power drive like the MID-7602. You can hook up the the PCI-7332 directly to the MID-7602. This device can drive two 2-phase stepper motors. ORG CHART in BIP to build a position Hierarchy

I need any guidance to build a ORG Chart for building a position hierarchy structure. The BIP documentation makes it sound possible: "Use the organization chart functionality in your templates and the chart will be rendered in the output." . I found in Tim Dexter's blog that we can generate a Org Chart but nothing further as to how to do it.
Any pointers on this will be great help.

The main-reason is that bringing the customers to level1 massively influences the report-presentation in the bw. And because it concerns only the bw, I wanted to provide the lightly modified hierarchy only on that level.
I do not want to come into the situation that somebody (even not from the R/3 team) needs to manage an additonal hierachy. The existing hierachy should be the leading and only one in the R/3 - and should be used in the bw in the described modified format.

Building approval workflow that spans two system

Hi,
We are on oracle apps 11i.
There is a requirement to build a workflow that spans oracle purchasing and another procurement system for PR.
After purchase requisition is handled in the system it should be forwarded to the other procurement system.
the procurement manger would either approve the purchase request and continue with the cycle in the external system or reject and send it back to oracle for modification.
this is how i see the solution so far:
-enter employee name and relevant position that refers to the manager in the external procurement system
-add position to existing position hierarchy
- when PR is sent in hierarchy to above manager, a database trigger can run to send the data to external system
till this point,please advise if there is a more appropriate solution
for the inbound data, how should i update the workflow? What are the APIs that i can use to reject the PR and send it back to requester for modification? if approved, how to handle the PR workflow in Oracle? How to stop the buyer from autocreating a PO automatically from PR?

"Approval workflow is ambiguous. Inform system administrator"
This error comes when you have more than one workflow active and your start conditions has a conflict. ( means you have same conditions for both the active workflows)
Go to SWETYPV and find out your active workflows for the Business object BUS2121 and deactivate the one if both are not required. Select on the active workflow and go to details where you will find this FM SWB_2_CHECK_FB_START_COND_EVAL. If this FM exists then there is a start condition for your active workflow.
Then go to SWB_PROCUREMENT or SWB_COND and select your BOR as EC Requirement Coverage Request and findout the active start conditions for both of your active workflows. Analyse and if there is a conflict change it.
If you dont have start conditions for both the WFs then create for one with the create tab in SWB_COND.

Can anyone give me some useful information on the best ways to design and build a database/booking & dispatch system that can be intergrated through ical, address book and available on my macbook, ipad & iphone and all accessed through icloud.
I started my own chauffuer Service a year ago as an independent. it's becoming a massive bore that most of my time is spent taking down information, checking if i am available for clients and with alot of diary checking and repeatative entries and email ping pong and invoicing, what i want to do is concerntrate on advertising and marketing and using my time off for R & R
What i would like to do is access my information in an app and automate most of the processes like
assigning the job to the client with intergration through iCal and Address Book
be able to email confirmation through mail with an invoice produced through numbers or excel
payment is already done through payleven mobile and must be done in person so i'd rather keep that seperate to all processes apart from a tick box to say it has been paid for.
I have been looking at all options FileMaker, Bento, Automator, Apple Script. to be frank im no expert and am a little confused as to what to do any advice would be greatly recieved.

I would suggest that is going to be an involved and complex process.
I would personally look into some of the invoicing and time scheduling software available and see if any fit your needs.

Adjust front panel to screen size and re-position objects on different systems automatically

Hello, i have designed a vi that contains 5 led's placed at the 4 corners and center of the front panel which occupies the entire screen. However, this vi is to be used on different systems having different screen sizes. But on every screen, i'll need the front panel size = screen size and the led's to be placed to the centers and corner of this new screen size automatically without any manual operations and positioning bieng done every time. Will the resize option perform this task completely or do i have to go for some other techniques?

As far as I know, what you want is not easy to do but it is doable but you have to programmatically do it (no Labview setting). Here is an example for only 2 LEDs but I suppose that you will be able to make it work for your other LEDs.
This VI maximizes the front panel and then positions the 2 LEDs in the center and top right corner upon running. The LEDs are positioned according to their own top left corners, not according to their centers.

Can I install my old version of Audition (v.1 build 3211.2) on Windows 8 system?

I have used Audition v.1 (build 3211.2) (from 2003) for years and am very happy with it. It does exactly what I need. But my old computer is dying, and I have just bought a new Windows 8 system. The tech doing setup says this version of Audition will not run with Windows 8. Can I install it and run it somehow? If not, will it run on Windows 7? (I might be able to trade the 8 unit for a 7). If not, can I upgrade to the current Audition without paying? I am reluctant to have to learn a new version of the program, as I am so used to the old version. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Never mind! (I hope.) The tech guy just called back and said he was able to install it using the command prompt instead of using the graphical interface. So I hope it will work. Will update if that helps. Thanks.

Building jtree to represent local file system

Does anybody have the code to work through a local file system and display this information in a jtree.
If possible it would be nice to only expand the tree when the node is selected rather than having to build up an array and have a prebuilt tree.

You have to extend DefaultTreeModel and override several following methods:
getChildCount(Object�parent)
getChild(Object�parent, int�index)
isLeaf(Object�node)
getIndexOfChild(Object�parent, Object�child)
may be some other methods.
for example
file system is c:\test
and you want to add your own directory test1. Your method getChildCount must returns 2 (1 test + 1 test1). Your method getChild(nodeRepresentC,0) must returns testNode and getChild(nodeRepresentC,1) must returns test1Node. etc.

Hi freshman,
your spec sheet already mentions some resistors for loading and discharging your Li cell.
- With your USB6009 you can drive some transistors to switch between charging and discharging. You also have some AIs (analog inputs) to measure Li cell voltage as well as currents (when using some reasonable shunt resistors).
- Make an electronics sketch, read the manual of your USB6009 for it's specs and then grab your breadboard to build your electronics.
- Look at the examples coming with LabVIEW on how to switch DO signals and how to measure voltages (read the manual on that topics too!)

Having a problem with Flash Builder and Extension Builder - images not apearing on Mac system

Have a panel created in Flash Builder 4.5 with Extension Builder 2.1. Everything is fine when installed on a PC but when installed on a Mac the images in the panel do not show.
Mac and PC both using Adobe Photoshop CC . Both installed from same .ZXP file using Adobe Extension Manager CC.
Any ideas?

No I used relative path - the path is images/image name
example images/cRight.png
tried downloading Extension Builder 2.1 and compiling on Mac but still have same results - images show up fine in design window , but not when running panel in Photoshop

added an image component to form
answered yes to add asset to project
ran project
image did not show up in Photoshop
went back to project
checked item Embed under Common image properties
ran project and image shows up
Looks like it works if I add @Embed("assets/image name") on Mac to display images

Saving window position at dual monitor system

Is it just me, or is it a bug? I use flash at a dual monitor
system an place the stage on the first and the actionscript window
on the second screen. After restarting flash, both (the stage and
the AS-window) are at the first screen.

Build Waveform, SI Module Residual Analysis, System Identification MIMO

Hi, I have a question stemming from this page, with the residual analysis model: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372458D-01/lvsysidconcepts/case_study_validating/#Simulation...
So this is for ARX, a SISO function. I want to do the same with a State Space MIMO function. I'm having some trouble with the Build Waveform, the types for the waveform doesn't match up. It appears there's another dimension to the autocorrelation/crosscorrelation, which is causing some issue. Is there a way I can do this with a MIMO so I can build the waveform?

Hello Andrea,
You should be able to work with the Index Array function and the MIMO Waveform configuration of the SI Model Residual Analysis VI. As seen in the snippet below, you can wire the 2D Waveform array into the Index Array function and the default output will be a 1D Waveform array.
Then, using the Index Array function again, we are left with the waveform that existed in the zeroth row and the zeroth column of that initial 2D Waveform array. Once we have extracted out the desired waveform, we can use the Get Waveform Components function or wire the data directly to an indicator.
When working through this exercise, you may find using the Context Help window to be very useful. With the Context Help Window (press CTRL+H), you can mouse over wires and determine their data type.
For more information concerning array manipulation, I highly recommend looking through the examples in the NI Example Finder’s Fundamentals»Arrays and Clusters directory. You can open the NI Example Finder by navigating to Help»Find Examples....

Transport org. unit & position to another system

Hi,
I modified some org. units and positions in development and system did not ask for a transport request. How can I move my objects into test system ??

With tcode RE_RHMOVE30 you can create a request and transport them.
All you have to do is to choose the plan version, object types, objects. If you want all relations to be transported you can write A* in field evaluation path but if you want you can transport specific relations.
Select transport objects box.
In field task you can press f4 and then you can create a new request for the transport. After this press F8.
There will be a new screen. In this screen select the objects to be transported and then press F8.
After that you will release the request and transport it to the other system via using se09 and stms.

Survey checkbox positioning

Hello,
At this this moment we are trying to build some surveys in our CRM system. For some of the survey questions we use checkboxes. Now we a surey question with 9 possible answers. This means 9 checkboxes, and we only have 2 positioning posibilties. Horizontal or vertical.
We would like to have these checkboxes in columns like in BSP. Does anybody know how to adjust this. I already tried to figure out the xslt which is shipped with the default crm. But a search on <input type="checkbox" did not give any results.

Error 7 in Invoke Node in 'Dist Build App from LLB.vi'

I am encountering this error when trying to build an application. The error occurs while the builder is indicating that the application is actually being built (after files have been copied to the application). I am positive that all of my file paths are correct. I also have successfully mass compiled all of the VIs in the application. Is there something I'm overlooking?
The really funny thing is, using this same .bld script, I successfully built the application on another computer (running LV 7.0, just like this one).
My ideal approach to solving this problem would be to get into 'Dist Build App from LLB.vi' (or it's caller) and take a look at exactly which VI in my build is tripping up the build process.
Does anyone know the path for the LLB where I can find these VIs? And will I be able to access their block diagrams?

I just fixed the problem. When I said I was positive that all of the paths were correct, I was talking about paths to the LLBs in my build. However, somehow the LabVIEW system paths got changed. I don't recall ever doing anything to change LV's seach paths. I reset to the default values in Tools>>Options... and everything seems to work now. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the quick response, A.

Has anybody used Thermo Oriel's encorder Mike control system in Labview?

I am going to build a position (one axis) related data acquisition system. I want to use Thermo Oriel's encorder Mike control system as a motion hardware and its I/O option as a data input hardware? Has anybody used those hardwares in Labview?
