Building catalogs in CCM

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the basic steps for building procurement catalog in CCM?
What is the diff between product and procurement catalog?
What is the use of report BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG?
How is the catalog created in CCM?I mean uploading of pics etc for the catalog items??How is it done?Is it thru a file?which type of file???

Not able to view catalogs in CCM after clicking on "edit catalog"

Hi all,
I am not able to view a single catalog (supplier, procurement or master) in CCM after clicking on edit catalog.
After clicking on "start" pushbutton, it is giving warning message "Error while editing Master catalog"
Could anybody tell me, what would be the problem ??

Thanks for reply and solution.....
but this problem is only for my user ID and not for all other user ID.
when we tried with other user IDs, all the catalogs are in green state and working fine. For my ID I am not able to view any catalog into edit catalog screen. When I am trying to search any catalog it is giving me warning message "Error in master catalog". When checked in SLG1 I got error as "catalog (catalog name) not found".
Is it related to any user setting or like that... as this is the issue with my individual ID.
Please suggest.

How to Upload Price details for a catalog in CCM 2.0

I am successfully uploaded the details like schema, Category, item contents(ie Product id, supplier part no, Base unit, Order unit, Description).
I am not able to upload the price and currency details of the item. The format which i used is shown below. Plz correct it if you find it worng......

For price details you should use the following characteristics:-
/ccm/price[1]#/ccm/amount /ccm/price[1]#/ccm/currency_code
Use them in the format exactly as written above in two different cells of CSV. These are complex characteristics so, you should take care of the format in which they should be written. Please award full points for the helpful reply.

Extra harecteristics in supplier catalog in CCM .

hello dear people...
we are using CCM 2.0 with SRM 5.0 in the same server.
we have a requirement of using few extra charecteristics in CCM catalog.
Can we upload the custom charecterictics (which is not provided by OCI i.e. not a part of "/ccm" ) using the CSV files as supplier catalogs?
If yes, what is the format of the .CSV file?
If we can't, what can be the work around?

Yes you can create custom characteristics as part of your supplier catalogs. This can be done either via the csv format or via one of the xml formats.
The csv format is more detailed then what one would want to read in a post. Here is the link to the csv 2.0 format. It explains how to create characteristics and how to add those chars. to you supplier catalog and downstream catalogs. Note if you want this field to be searchable and displayed in procurement catalogs you will need to set the appropriate settings.

LR crashes after install, while building catalog

After install, LR4 tries to build a catalog. The problem is I have terabytes of images. LR uses the ADD EVERYTHING (opt out) mentality and of course fails miserably and after a few hours crashes (probably the 4GB catalog file limit). Anyway - I'd like to instruct LR to only catalog my working folder... not everything I've done for 30 years.
Bridge and CS5 don't seem to have issues like this... but I'd like to learn a bit about LR because some people say there are a few small advantages over CS.
Any ideas?

OO ALV - using itab to build catalog

Has anyone got an example of code which allows an OO ALV grid to be displayed based on the field catalog derived from an internal table, where the itab is also the source of the data to be displayed ?. I'm have a lot fun trying to get this to work. It's a piece of cake using data dictionary, but generating a catalog from an internal table causing much grief.

Master Catalog in CCM

Elimination of screens for shopping with CCM catalog

Hello CCM seniors,
We have installed CCM 2.0 as an add on for SRM 4.0.
CCM and EBP are mountd on same server and same client.
CAT and CSE also share single client.
EBP to CCM integration is working fine.
i.e. user can select catalog items and can make shpooing cart.
Only when employee clicks on the catalog link(/ccm/master catalog in our case) in EBP portal ,
on the next screen he has to click on "Locale- EN" to proceed.
Since we are not using any language versions , we want to eliminate this screen for operational ease.
Also, as our catalog is SRM extracted one and the there is only one category, we want to avoid the next screen also
i.e. selection of subcategory to display the list of items.
To summerise what we are trying to achieve is that when the employee clicks on the catalog link in EBP -> shop application ,
he should directly get the list of items from the catalog.
Is it possible, if yes how?

CCM 2.0 Catalogs with Images

When trying to load a catalog using CCM 2.0 the system stops at the colum with the images at the first line. Each of the pictures and or URLs are valid...any suggestions on what may be causing this?? Thanks

CCM - Publishing Master catalog gives short dump and terminates publishing

we are implementing SRM 5.0 with CCM 2.0 in SP08.
When we tried to publish the master catalog in CCM. we are getting the following error.

Data upload error during uploading data in catalogs ( CCM 2.0 )

Hi ,
I am having problem during upload of data into catalogs of CCM 2.0. I think there is some problem with my file. When i click "Upload Schema" it just upload schema not the data. But if i am removing schema from file it is giving me error.
Kindly if anyone can send me sample file for data upload in CCM 2.0 or steps to upload data correctly.

I don't understand very well, the standard characteristic for images is /CCM/PICTURE.
It's a complex characteristic composed by
/CCM/DESCRIPTION
/CCM/URL
/CCM/MIME_TYPE. (for example image/jpeg).

How to get prices from CCM 2.0 catalog

Hi guys,
I configured y populated a Purchasing Catalog in CCM 2.0
Everything seems to work alright when I downloading a material from the catalog in to a Shopping Cart except the price of the material!
The field price: "/ccm/amount" - Importe - is populated with OCI field: NEW_ITEM-PRICE
The field: "/ccm/currency_code" is populated with OCI field:
NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY
Upon transferring the OCI values into the Shopping Cart, in the transaction SLG1 , object string "BBP_OCI", shows only trafficlight in green! It doesnt mention the OCI field NEW_ITEM-PRICE.
What Im I doing wrong? Maybe some configuration missing?

You mention "product", is this a SAP Product master item? If so the price would come from the product master in commpr01?
If this is not the case your description of the config looks correct. You should be passing the value of the characteristic /ccm/amount to the OCI price field.
This should work easily.
Other things to check - formating of numeric price?
Are you certain "price" is maintained in this characteristic value?

Problems publishing catalog CCM 2.0

Hi All,
I'm trying to publish a procurement catalog in CCM 2.0 I'm receiving the following errors:
- Error in search index update; discarding existing changes
- Index for catalog <catalogid> and locale EN- does not exist
- Error when deleting TREX metadata for catalog CCM2.0, locale EN-
I have run TREX_RFC_CREATE_INDEX and everything was ok. Can anyone provide any suggestions?

do you obtain any other information in report /CCM/CHECK_TREX
Have you tried SAP Note 923213
Other possibility, execute report /CCM/CLEANUP_TREX. First with test activate in order to get moer information.
