Building interdependent DCs in different SCs

Hi
Can anyone let me know how to build together interdependent DCs together which are in different SCs.
Can we use public parts in the same manner as we use while building interdependent DCs in the same SC.
Thanks
Varun

Hi Varun,
would you mind describing with more details your question? How do you intend to build the DC's? What for? Which tool do you expect to use? Do you want to create your own SC?
@Marasa: SC = Software Component and DC = Development Component. A SC is formed by DC's.

  • BUILD Failed b\c required SCs

    I'm working with scenario 2+. Everyting was working correctly until I deleted the content of the TMP\CBS\* since I needed more disk space.
    Since then, I am not able to build the CONS compartment. I get errors like "Used component "sap.com/ejb20" has NO VALID Component Description Archive (DCDA). The component seems to have never been built successfully." or "Used component "sap.com/com.sap.jdo" has NO VALID Component Description Archive (DCDA). The component seems to have never been built successfully."
    Obviously it cannot find the three .sca archives to build my compartment. I re-checkin the archives to CONS and to DEV, but I still get the same error.
    I also tried to "Initiate the compartment" and "build the compartment", but it's reloading/rebuilding only the DCs of my SC and not the three required SCs.
    Is there a way to reload this three .sca archives so I am able to build my compartment?
    Thanks a lot,
    Deborah.

    After importing the SCA-to to DOV, CONS definitely they are going to be loaded to CBS again.
    after import of one of them check the CBS and see whether the branch has reloaded the DCs.
    All of the should be 161

  • Error while building Local DCs (cd355)

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use the example https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/bd0e0401-0801-0010-aaab-d0e1742da383

    When I'd built all the DCs I had the same error for many of them:

    Hallo Gianluca,
    the ziped Local Web Dynpro DCs were tested on the SAP NetWeaver '04 Sneak Preview version. I cannot guarantee that the Build also works in other versions.

  • How to automate the build of CompositeApplication for different environment

    Hi,
    I have a scenerio where i have to automate the build process of composite application.
    For Example :
    I have a Composite application currently configured for my DEV Environment. I have two more environments UAT, and IST on which the same Composite Application should be deployed. The environment details such as 1) Host Name , 2) Port Number , for UAT and IST are different.
    I need to create an automation script which takes in the different environment details and builds the CompositeApplication Project.
    Please help, if you have any solution or Please provide pointers.
    Thanks
    yuvaraj

    Hi yuvarag,
    I take it that you're working in a 5.1.3 environment. I was in a similar situation, and although I wasn't able to automate the process as I would have liked, I was able to make some modifications to the build process that made it acceptable.
    For one thing, our QA dept would not allow us to build separate ear files, using different environments, for QA and production. They were willing to sign off on the QA file that they had tested, but as far as they were concerned (and I fully agreed) they had not tested a new aer file build for the production environment. I was able to convince them (and myself) that using the iConfigure tool to modify the settings of the ear file was a safe way to create the production file from the QA file. This also removed any possibility of including new code into a build with the production environment.
    Although it didn't get automated, I did set up a "build" user on the box that housed our repository. All builds for deployment to QA were performed by logging in as the build user to perform the build. I also made a few modifications to the build scripts that come with the commandlinecodegen tool to simplify the process. I could probably have automated the build by adding a cron entry to kick off the build script. Automating the iConfigure step would be much more difficult. But if you are free to build fresh ears for production, then you should be able to automate the process with cron, and a few tweaks to the commandlindgodegen tool.

    I have a wsdl that define a schema having different namespace from the service itself. When I create an Invoke activity and the input/output variables, everything went ok. However if I try to explore the newly created input/output variables an exception (Problem building schema) is thrown.
    If I use the same namespace for the service and the schema defined in it, everything is okay.
    Could anybody explain to me why I should set it to the same namespace to get it to work?
    Is it a mistake to use different namespace?
    Thanks in advance,
    santoso
    Below is the wsdl :

    Hi,
    The problem is when I use the wsdl in a bpel process project, the variable created can't be explored.
    However, I've found the solution by adding import namespace.
    <xs:schema attributeFormDefault="unqualified" elementFormDefault="qualified" targetNamespace="http://www.test.com/service" xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <xs:import namespace="http://www.test.com/opl" />

    </xs:complexType>
    </xs:element>
    <xs:element name="insertProposalResponse">
    <xs:complexType>
    <xs:sequence>
    <xs:element ref="opl:Proposal" xmlns:opl="http://www.test.com/opl"/>
    </xs:sequence>
    </xs:complexType>
    </xs:element>
    </xs:schema>

  • GPOs On Different DCs Have Different Time Stamps

    Hi All,
    I believe that we may have a GPO replication problem. Different PCs in the same OU report different settings as displayed by gpresult.exe. It looks like some PCs are getting old versions of the GPO.
    I did some digging,and found a utility called gpotool.exe from the 2003 reskit.
    (Our DCs are all 2008R2 running at a 2003 functional level. Two sites, well-connected by 20 Gb links.)
    After considerable searching, I have been unable to find any explanation of the errors anywhere. In fact, the tool has little documentation anywhere. The error messages look like this:
    Policy {01BC3F84-0862-4CEA-A228-A36D6C62A612}
    gpotool: e    ERROR: Err: Size different between Machine
    Error: DC6.mydom.ca - DC8.mydom.ca sysvol mismatch
    gpotool: e    ERROR: Err: Size different between MachineI
    I tried to load the stats into a spreadsheet by creating a report using powershell to query all of the GPOs using
    get-gpo. Sadly, this utility does not retrieve any size information. What it does highlight however is that the GPOs have different modification times on different DCs.
    In most cases, the time stamps differ by less than an hour, but a very few GPOs differ by several days.
    My questions:
    Is it normal to have different modification times on different DCs?
    Is the report from gptool.exe valid, or should i ignore it?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Consume. Conform. Obey.

    This is an FRS issue. Have you looked for issues/errors regarding FRS? The GPO time stamps are a symptom of this problem.
    1. There is a GPOTOOL.exe for 2008+ that MS never officially released. It works on my domain. I can publish it to a DropBox public folder if you are interested.
    2. Or you could stand up a Win8 box and install RSAT tools and load the GPMSC console. It has WONDERFUL tools that address this very issue. It has the GPOTool "built in" among other nice things.

  • Library Projects compiled using Flash Builder and ANT have different outputs

    Hi Guys.,
    I am really having hard time to get something work right with RSL projects in Flex 3.2 SDK. Here is my weird problem.
    I have a library projects which has the following settings in Flash Builder
    Link Type : External
    airglobal.swc
    framework.swc
    datavisualization.swc
    rpc.swc
    utilites.swc
    applicationupdater.swc
    applicationupdater_ui.swc
    Link Type: Merged into code
    airframework.swc
    servicemonitor.swc
    Compiler settings
    -directory=true -output=../../lib/core -debug=true -optimize=false -define+=CONFIG::bindingdebug,false -define+=CONFIG::frameworkdebug,false -define+=CONFIG::flexspy,true -define+=CONFIG::debug,true -define+=CONFIG::release,false -define+=CONFIG::logtoconsole,false -allow-source-path-overlap=true  -keep-as3-metadata+=Metadata,DefaultProperty,Required,Event,AssignableTo,Inject,InjectCon structor,Publish,Subscribe,PublishSubscribe,Factory,Init,Destroy,Observe,AsyncInit,Managed Events,MessageDispatcher,MessageHandler,MessageBinding,MessageInterceptor,MessageError,Com mand,CommandComplete,CommandResult,CommandError,CommandStatus,ResourceBinding,Selector,Tar get,Autoremove,Internal,ObjectDefinition,DynamicObject
    When I compile my library projects I get a MyLibraryproject.swc. The SWC has the following files in it
    mx/controls/HTML.png
    mx/core/Windows.png
    library.swf
    Note: airframework.swc and servicemonitor.swc has a many png files and properties files in it. But these properties and png files are not included when compiled in Flash builder.
    But when the same project is compiled using ANT compc task, i get all the png and properties files from airframework.swc and servicemonitor.swc files into my library project SWC file.
    Here is the ANT version which is used to compile the library project

    #1, If it compiles then you have no issue. There's no reason at this point not to use 4.6. You should bundle a captive runtime to assure the users computer won't need to have AIR installed at all.
    #2, Papervision is old. Use the Stage3D and/or a wrapper framework. As far as the generic "If I download lots of data will it take the user more time to load it", well, of course. Just don't make the loading experience painful. Entertain them while they way or find ways of displaying data sooner than later. If it's desirable on the web has more to do with the context of the app and the device displaying it. In other words, a phone user would find it easy but obviously not a desktop user.
    #3, Definitely referring you to Google on that one.
    #4, Size always matters, it's common sense. The more you process the harder it is. While I haven't done AR I've used the Microsoft Kinect SDK and ANE and tracking was extremely fast but limited. From what I've seen and your basic built in location and direction hardware on any mobile device you shouldn't have much trouble. Depends on what you're doing.
    #5, This discussion would be way too large for a forum. You'd need to consult a firm experienced in AR development.
    #6, "Applications using the commercial license do not have to provide source code, but must pay a licensing fee. Contact ARToolworks at [email protected] for more information." They will base your price on your product, there is no single price.
    #7, The models could be huge and elaborate or tiny and simple which changes the answer. Consult the answer in #4. Ultimately most people are getting on fast networks with mobile and excessively fast on desktop/wifi. Size matters a lot less than 3 years ago.
    #8, Depends on what you're doing. You have to explain it.

  • Some build specifications change on different machines

    Hi all,
    I often need to move my LabVIEW projects from a machine to another one. In this cases, I copy all the contents of my project folder in the new machine.
    My projects are built without errors, but some build specifications are not kept.
    Build specifications that are not maintained are additional installer list (see attachment).
    In the machine 1, I include only Math kernel Libraries and NI VC2008MCMS.
    When I open the same project on the Machine 2, all the elements in NI LabVIEW Run-Time engine 2012 SP1 f3 list are checked. (see attachments)
    Thank you

    machine2.png ‏5 KB

    Hi AC_85,
    have machine 1 and machine 2 the same installed software? Is it the same version? Maybe on the machine on which you copy your project some additional installer is not installed.
    You could try to Duplicate the entire project (from project explorer File >> Save as >> Duplicate project >> Include all dependencies) before moving it from machine 1 to machine 2.
    Hoping this will help you.

  • Flash Builder embed video in different stages

    Hi, I'm Paulinho Cé from Brasil and i have a problem to embed youtube videos on my site in different stages FlashBuilder.
    I have 10 videos and want to display them in the event of each button corresponding to a different stage.
    This code works in the main application but not in the stages of the site, because the functions and variables are global and can not change the url of the video to a video display differently at each stage.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

  • Coverage Profile in Network of Interdependent DCs

    Hello Experts,
    I would like to have your advice in this subject.
    I have MTS Scenario , 1 Plant and 2 DCs to simplify the example.
    Plant A  only transfers stock to DC1.
    DC1 sells to customers but also transfers stock to DC2 which has also customers and sales.
    In each DC Planned Independent Requirements are periodically created with average data about each DCs customers Demand.
    10 Day's Coverage Profile is used in each DC.
    The problem I have is that stock for coverage days in DC2 translates in additional demand to DC1 (PurReq or STO requirements). This additional demand is again increased by coverage days in DC1 which leads to overstocking.
    At first I thought that using BADI to deactivate requirements from STOs and PurReqs in DC1 would solve my problem but the effect is worse because  Plant A would be "blind" to demand from DC2.
    I think that additionaly to the change above mentioned I should create PIR in DC1 with the demand in DC1 + demand in DC2.  And then in DC2 also create PIR but just with demand from DC2.
    I really would like to have your opinions/suggestions about how would you do this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sebastián Ligueros

    Hi
    I have worked on the same scenario.
    My Suggestions: Maintain the  MRP type V1 in DC1, in MRP type V1 make sure the control parameters Include ext. reqmts is 2. Assign the DC2 to DC1 using special procurement key 40, in special procurement key maintain the special procurement plant as DC1. Maintain the same MRP controller for DC1 and DC2.
    Once you through with the above settings RUn the MRP for DC1, it will automatically plan the requirement for DC2 and it will give you the combine PR.
    Try this and revert back
    Thanks

  • Build option export to different workspace - problem

    Hi All,
    I have a page with two regions. Logically, the two regions are mutually exclusive, only one should ever appear. I've created a build option called "Simulated Login" and set the build option of region 1 to "{Not Simulated Login}" and the build option of region 2 to "Simulated Login". When I run the page and the build option is excluded, I see only region 1. When the build option is included, I see only region 2.
    I have a problem when I export my application to another workspace. Region 2's build option is still set the same as the original application, but region 1's build option is not set after the import - it should be "{Not Simulated Login}" but instead it is blank. Now, when I run the page and the build option is excluded, I see only region 1 and when it's included, I see both regions.
    In the meantime I'll create another build option as the obvious workaround - I'll just have to make sure that I keep the two build options set to the opposite of eachother!

I manually changed the export file so that Region 1 has the parameter:p_required_patch=> '-123207604215572408' - wwv_flow_api.g_id_offsetSo I subtract the offset for the build option on Region 1. Then I imported it and it worked correctly.

  • Oracle Report Builder Font diffrenece in different O/S

    Dear All,
    The report that I have developed in windows environment using Oracle Report Builder while running in Solaris environment displaying wrong character. Basically I am trying to display Portuguese character in my report, its working fine while running in windows environment where as when I run the same in Solaris environment its displaying wrong character.
    Sample:
    In Windows Environment the word that I am trying to display is - RESUMO DE TARIFAGCO POR BANCO
    where as its displaying wrong in Solaris environment - RESUMO DE TARIFA?O POR BANCO
    Thanks in advance to provide solution.

    Hi
    Reports builder picks up the font information from the display server and printer. In case you need the same font to appear in layout editor and paper design i.e live-previewer, make sure respective fonts are installed in your display server for the character sets you are using. If you are running the report to file with pdf/html format etc or to the printer, make sure the required printer fonts are installed. PLease also refer Font document on otn under Reports doc section.
    Thanks
    Rohit

    lets say I  have checked out several inactive DCs to my NWDS workspace. I've some open activities and one committed/closed activity. Is it possible to build the currently active DC (with the one closed activity) from DTR and not the inactive one in my workspace?
    I've tried to build some DCs in the "Active DCs" tab under the DC perspective. But that did not work. After I uploaded the application to the portal server all changes I've done were not present.

    Hi,
    you can find the CBS webui here:
    http://<host>:<port>/devinf -- CBS
    This is the task of the NWDI adminsitrator. Please turn to your NWDI admin for details.
    ! Regarding checking out from the active workspace I regret to inform you that this was not a good idea. Please do not checkin but revert that activity.
    In this workspace you musn't checkout any files, to this workspace only the CBS has write authorization in case of a succesful activation of an Activity.
    You have synced the component from active workspace, this workspace is reserved for CBS hence Developer Studio tells you that you can't modify this workspace. Sync your DC you want to modify from the inactive workspace (e.g. in Development Configuration perspective sync sources for your DC from the view "Inactive DCs") then you should be able to checkout.
    Best Regards,
    Ervin
