Built-in apps crashing on 5S with IOS 7.0.1

Are others experiencing frequent crashing of the Apple built-in apps?
This is a brandy spanking new 5S (32GB), upgraded to 7.0.1. And I'm seeing lots of crashing.
In the past hour, the "Settings" app crashed, as did the "Calendar" app.
We're not talking about third party stuff here. This is all on Apple.
What gives?

Did you restore from a backup of an older model phone?

The iTunes Festival app crashes and stay minimized at startup with IOS 4.3.3 (8J2) on my iPAD2. I was perfectly working previously. I tried basic troubleshooting (i.e. reboot the iPad, uninstall/reinstall the app), but nothing works ... Any suggestions ? Thanks.
PS: I noticed the same behaviour with the application called "Pilotifant".

What version of iOS are you running? I'm going to bet that you do NOT have a 3Gs. You have a 3G. The highest version of iOS that can run is 4.2.1.
If you did not save a copy of the older facebook at that could run on 4.2.1 on your computer that you can sync back, then you're out of luck. The newest version (and the only one available in the app store) will not run on 4.2.1.
You will have to resort to using the mobile web page in Safari or find a 3rd party app that will run on your phone.

If you can sign out of that app in setting try that.

As the subject implies, I'm Looking for a good antivirus/antimalware app for iPhone 5 with iOS 8.1.2. Don't care if it costs $$ just want something that works. I've been searching around and installed a couple things but they don't seem to be what I was expecting. Thought I'd find out what others are using.

Sadly, spoofing doesn't really require much hacking, All a spammer would need to use your email address for spoofing would be your email address. If it's also being sent to your contacts, your email account may well have been hacked. But that would have happened on the server level. Your phone wouldn't have been involved. Unfortunately, once the miscreants have your contact list, changing your password will not get that back. Changing the password to something strong may help prevent future misuse.

Nothing. The 2nd Gen Touch is OBSOLETE and is WAY past its support life. If you want to run the newer apps you have to buy a newer iPod.

Well, you can't delete them totally...but you could stop using them or reset them. Just erase everything you use in those apps. You could also block them using parental controls, this will take them off your home screen but no, you cannot completely delete these apps.

You should always have your apps on your computer. If you have failed to keep a copy of the old app versions, then you cannot get them back at all.

Help! Every app crashes when interacting with plain text files

I recently bought a 13" i7 MacBook Air. I love its design and I found OS X Lion unbelievably fast on it, yet I find myself in a very dark situation, now.
From the Finder to iA Writer, to TextEdit, every single app crashes when working with plain text files. In Finder’s column view I don’t even have to open them: the instant one .txt is selected, Finder crashes.
Creating a new user account seems to fix the bug for that account, but I just spent one whole day copying files from my old work MacBook (where Lion opened .txt files without a problem) to the new account and losing another entire day of work because of a stupid bug is out of question. Also, I feel it would be a very temporary fix. What if the bug presented itself again? Would I have to create a third, a fourth account, and so on?
I didn’t use any migration tool because I wanted a very clean installation.
On top of that, the machine is as App Store–only as one could be. The only “internet” apps I have on it are Chrome (for the occasional Flash video), Movist (I can’t work with Quicktime’s flying controls), and nvALT. I didn’t even had the time to install the Creative Suite on this one. I can’t for the life of me think this is app–related. I suspect it’s some weird OS bug.
I work in advertising, and I do some work in Adobe’s Creative Suite but *all* my copy is stored in plain text files. I always did it that way so that my files would be future–proof. It is kind of ironic now. So please, if anyone as the slightest idea of how to fix this, please, please, help. I find myself with a brand new computer I can’t use for work.

Apps suddenly crashing on 5S (with iOS 7.0.3)

I installed 7.0.3 on my 4S, 5S and iPad when it came out (so a few days ago). Everything was fine.
Today, all of a sudden, apps are crashing on my 5S (and only my 5S). For example, if I click on a link in Mail, it immediately crashes (actually I think it's the launched Safari that's crashing, since Mail still shows up in the running apps display). I'm seeing Safari sometimes crash on its own. I'm seeing the FB app crash when I press the notifications or messages icon or try to open any link in it. I'm also seeing the Weather Channel and Weather Underground apps crash on opening.
Any idea what could be happening or how to fix it?

Go to settings>icloud>storage and back up>back up
after that preform a restore by going to
general>reset>erase all content and settings
this will delete everything except the enabled stuff on icloud.
You can view whats enabled by going to icloud in settings.

Photo App Crashes Since Upgrade to IOS 8

Since I updated to IOS 8 I cannot get the "PHOTO" app (not Iphoto) to stay open...will open for 1-2 seconds and then crash. Works perfectly fine on my Ipad Retina, but other Ipad, which is a generation behind just crashes. Itunes shows the photos are loaded on the Ipad. Can anyone offer a suggestion?

If you are having issues with a built-in app like Photos, you may want to first try resetting your iPhone:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If you are still having issues after a reset, you may want to make sure you have a current backup of your data in iTunes, then try restoring your iPhone to factory settings and testing it in that default condition to see if the issue persists before restoring your data. I am having problems with my built-in iPhone apps. None of these problems happen with my non-Apple apps. My iPhone music app won't sync with my computer -- I make changes to playlists on my computer that won't sync with my iPhone. When I try to make changes to playlists on my iPhone, it crashes. Every. Single. Time. It also shows the wrong artwork with songs. My reminders app won't work either. It crashes every time I try to change an entry, and today I can't even get the app to open. I've restarted my phone dozens of times in the last few days. Is there an iOs update coming up?!?!? Please help!!

Apps Crashing/Sync not working - iOs 6 *****

Hi i just recently upgraded to iOS 6. I found that my battery drains in 1-2 hours and my apps crash within 30 seconds of using them. i tried a restore, but now the sync is malfunctioning. It wont sync my apps or music fully. The music will be greyed out and the apps just say waiting. Anyone know what to do?

I've tried all the solutions above without fixing this problem of being unable to update apps on my iPad (once again, the latest iPad with iOS 8.02).
However, I was able to fix it using the nuclear fix. I first backed up the iPad to my MBA, then I did the "Settings/General/Reset/Erase all content and Settings" which put my iPad back in factory settings with iOS8.02. After rebooting, I then did the iTunes "Restore" option and my iPad is back to normal operation and doing updates.
The bad thing about this option is that all my apps "lost" their folders and I had to make new folders for the multitude of apps I have. Very time consuming, but what's a mother to do???

Random App Crashes? Is this iOS 6.0.1 issues?

I have an iPod touch 5g and am on iOS 6.0.1 . I sometimes experience built in apps like Camera and the App Store crash for no reason :( Does any else have random apps that keep crashing ? I also restart and reset but the problem later comes back. It doesn't happen like every second but they crash randomly at any time. So is this a bug in iOS 6.0.1? Thanks!

Some app crashing is normal but yours sounds like something is wrong.
Try:

Magazine apps crashing after upgrade to IOS 6

I just upgraded from IOS 5 to IOS 6.1.3, now whenever I launch Sports Illustrated or Time Magazine, the app crashes. If I reboot iPad, the app will launch once, then crash on each subsequent launch.

I would try deleting the apps and reinstall them. That will delete your magazines as well, but you should be able to download them again.
I have Sports Illustrated myself and so that I could be sure that it would work OK, I deleted the app and then downloaded it again. I had to go through the motions of registering again but as soon as I did, I got a message saying that I was already in the system. I closed the window, went back to the Library by tapping the Library button at the bottom of the app, and downloaded the latest edition with LeBron James on the cover.
Tap the Newsstand icon to open it to your apps. Tap and hold down on on of the icons until it wiggles, then tap the X on the magazine icon in order to delete it. Tap the home button to stop the apps from wiggling, go back to the purchased tab of the App Store and tap on Not on the iPad. Find the app and download it again.
