Built-In Audio doesn't feed any Audio editing software like Soundtrack.

I am trying to record streaming audio from the internet through the built in audio in and out in the computer using Soundtrack. I can drag wav. files in and they play, I record with the built in mic, it plays, but audio coming internally doesn't show, itunes, internet etc.

The sound being played by applications is not really audio input. Audio input has to be coming from an external source, such as through the built-in mic or the audio input port, or possibly USB/FireWire if you have such a device connected.
You can connect a mini-stereo jack cable to your audio output port and feed it back into your audio input port.
Or you can get a program such as WireTap

I'm trying to capture a demonstration of audio editing
software, which while in use, plays back audio clips as you play

demonstration, I can record my voice from my microphone, but I

Whenever I select Word Microsoft Setup Assistant appears, asks for feedback, then after selecting okay (both on saying yes or no to feedback) goes on to a registration page. When I click on this it says I've already registered so I just click okay, and then move on to a update page. After this, if I click on Word, the process repeats itself.
As I said, I don't have the disk to reinstall, and can't find the Office Settings to delete as many pages have suggested I should try. Safe Boot restarting also hasn't worked... Really stuck and need Word very soon for work.
If you can help, that would be great, and feel free to ask any questions about the situation as I'm not an expert here.

First, export your contact from iCloud.com and save them on your computer in a safe spot some where (like you desktop). Use this to help you do this: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH3606
Next, on both of your devices, go to Settings > iCloud and turn on contacts and select Merge. Then turn off contacts and select 'Delete form my [device]' when prompted.
Now go back to iCloud.com and select a contact (yes they will all be messed up again) and select Command+A on a Mac or Control+A on a PC to select all of the contacts. Tap the delete key on your keyboard (or right click /control click a contact and select delete).
You iPhone, iPad and iCloud.com should not be empty for contacts.
Go back to Settings > iCloud on both devices and turn on contacts again (you should not see merge this time).
Next, go back to iCloud.com and import your contacts (those exported .vcards). You can either drag and drop them into the empty contacts list in your web browser, or you can use the gear icon to import.
You cleaned up contacts should import correctly into iCloud.com and sync to both of your devices.

GarageBand as Audio Editing Software

I am curious if I can use GarageBand (2) as an editing software for .wav or .mp3 files such as Sound Efx imported from a CD (via ITunes).
Is it possible to import, edit, and playback these sound efx on GB 2?
Otherwise, is there a recommendation on another application that would do this on Mac, and cheap? (below $75)

You could use GB, but you'll be using a screwdriver as a hammer (it'll work, but a hammer will yield better results...easier as well)
There is Freeware, Shareware, and Commercial software that will allow "byte level" editing of audio files (which GB can not do):

Audition saying mic not connected, while other audio editing software does.

     Okay, just got the trial version to start with, was originally getting a directsound input error, which thanks to this board I was a
ble to fix with asio4all, and at least I'm not getting constant, persistant errors, and Audition is now allowing me to push the record button. Definately a step in the right direction.
     However now I've hit a roadblock, at first I thought it was just my mic, but I had the crappy sound recorder on windows vista try and that works perfectly fine, so I know it's not the mic. In Audio hardware setup it's telling me that the device is there and operating... And I know it's not a volume thing, as again, tested that out as well.
     And yet Audition doesn't realize there's any input audio at all. No levels. Can't for the life of me figure it out.

You've got a two stage process to select the mic in on the Vista OS.
You say you've already selected the appropriate sound device in Audition's Audio Hardware Setup. However, you also have to right click the little loudspeaker icon in the Task Bar and select "recording devices". On the menu that comes up you'll have a selection of things to record--make sure the "green tick" is on the mic input you're using.

Hi I've been given a G4 PowerBook to see if I'm tempted to move away from windows PC's to apple.
I'm looking for software that will work on the PowerBook that will let me edit all audio files and multitrack edit too, the current software I use on pc is adobe audition, any pointers?

Allow audio in software like Apple Remote Desktop

I have been using ARD to monitor students' computers in my school environment, but I would like to be able to also listen to the audio that they are playing on their computer, not just view their screen. Does anyone know of other software that allows this feature? (Or of a way that ARD does it?)

ARD will not pass audio, nor will the freeware VNC (on which ARD's observe and control function is based). Timbuktu might, but I'm not sure. There are some other remote control products available for Mac, but I haven't found any that will pass the Mac's audio through to the controlling system.

Is there a way to apply an EQ setting to all audio output? (i.e. everything that comes out of my PB speakers or phone jack, not just iTunes) Perhaps some sort of alt. audio device software (like soundflower.. but w/ different powers).

Reader doesn't print any document & doesn't give any error.

I've problem with Reader on my Windows7 PC.
Every document that i try to print directly from Reader doesn't arrive to printer, & i doesn't have any error from software.
but form all other softwares i can print, also from mail program i can print PDF.
I've try to reinstall Reader but i have same problem.

When you click on print option and you get print dialog box to choose options. Take screen shot and attach while you reply.
How is your printer connected with computer? Have you tried installing latest printer driver?
What is the current version of Reader installed on your machine.

The Portable Wireless Server WG-C10 I purchased in 2014 doesn't stream any audio and some video content after updating phone to Android Lollipop 5.x.
The WG-C10 firmware is the last version which is available and the PWS Manager software is the last version available in Google Play Store.
There are no updates for the WG-C10 firmware nor PWS Manager software since 2013 or for Android 5.x (Lollipop) and I don't know if the WG-C10 firmware is the problem or if the PWS Manager software is the problem.
BTW, I am still able to stream this content on my tablet which is on KitKat (4.4.x) so the files are not corrupted. The only problem is with Lollipop.
PWS Manager in the Google Play Store says it supports Android 4.0+ which is no longer true.
The audio file formats which fail to stream are: mp3 and wav
The video file formats which fail to stream are: mp4, avi and 3gp
JPEG Images appear to work fine, but I haven't tried other formats.
I purchased the WG-C10 to stream audio and video primarily to my phone and now that this no longer works, the WG-C10 is useless to me.
Any ideas?

HT2375 Using logic 9: play back of all project files now has problems: Track volumes are way off - if panning is set to center then you cant hear that track? Even if pan is adjusted tracks are low and or distorted I have looked at core/built in audio

Been having project play back problems for about a month. Sometimes when I open a project the volume of certain tracks is low and or distorted. Oddly if a midi track is panned to the center (0) its volume is too low and if I pan right or left the track becomes louder. Sometimes this doesn't help and if it is an audio track things become distorted.
Although things have been working good for about a year now I think it has something to do with the fact that I have to take the laptop to work and use headphones/built in audio for play back and then take it home and use different audio interface but I can't be sure. The settings in preferences/audio/devises seem to be correct.
I have not added any plug-ins recently. I have not downloaded any new programs recently other than a NI tutorial video (shouldn't have any affect) but I am trying to use a new midi controller but again that shouldn't have any affect on play back of existing track?
Any suggestions?

Thank you for the replies. Everyone was correct about the jack, interface, and phasing problems. I have been unplugging my motu audio interface and then using headphones at work. I have not changed any detailed audio output settings in logic. When I read that the jack might be a problem I tried switching headphones. This actually helped. I am using dre-beats headphones and they seem to be having issues with the mac/jack-(the phasing/panning problems. I can use these headphones with other devices but not the mac. I have to use ipod ear buds and the phasing seems fixed. Hopefully this information is helpful to someone else.
If anyone knows how to correct this issue please let me know its difficult to know what my final mixes are going to sound like and I have had to keep bouncing everything into i-tunes- sync to ipod and then listen in my car radio.
