Built-in Fax and printing to default paper tray

Gentleones,
I have a HP LJ1320n which is connected to my iMac. The problem is that incoming faxes, when printed, cause the printer to request paper and the only way to make the printer continue is to go press the green button on the printer.
I cannot find anything anywhere which would allow me to tell the built-in faxing capability of 10.4.10 the default paper tray or page size. None of the options in printer setup affect the behavior. It always makes me press the green button.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

just had a look at my print n share app on the ipad. select your document, tap the printer icon on the top right and a new Print option box will open with all the print options, the paper tray option is at the bottom (I have attached a screenshot below) :

Restrict Output for Fax and Print in Sales Order

Hi,
I am having a sales order output with two output types - Fax and Print. I need to restrict one page "Terms & Conditions" to be printed only once when I select the output type as FAX. But if the output type is PRINT, I have to print the page "Terms & Conditions" after every page i.e in even numbers since it is getting printed on both sides of the paper.
Can anyone help me on this.

PO output with mail, fax and print

I have created a PO with message type medium 5 (i.e. External send).
Now I go inside 'Communication method' and I can see communication strategy field, I select EML there (i.e EMAIL, FAX, PRINT).
Now after saving PO is getting mailed and also fax is working, but it is not printing out.
1. Is there any separate settings required for print out?
If I select medium as print out then print is working.
Please advice.

First-timer on this...Just updated my printer which was less than one year old, to one which had Air Print capabilities. This one is the Epson XP605 which has two trays, one being for photos. Each time I tried to Air Print a photo, it printed from the A4 plain paper tray instead of the Photo Tray.Twice...then I came into my study and changed the printer settings to Tray 1 (photo tray) Photo paper, size 5x7 and Photo Best, but still it printed on plain A 4 paper. Would be most grateful for any help, although I did read on one Apple site that AirPrint may not be able to choose trays!!!! "may not"?? Thanks

I just figured out the print quality issue for my wife with her new iMac and new printer.
She replaced both at once and she couldn't understand why her Artisan 730 was lower quality then her Epson R280 when they had the same specs.
Turns out the newer printer had the option to connect via wifi which we used during setup.
The driver options are completely different depending on how you connect.
Once I connected via USB the correct options were available and the print quality was better.
Looking at the R2400 it dies not have wifi, but while researching the problem for my wife someone esle was having an issue updating to the latest printer driver.
If you go into the print utility from the Printer and Scanner system preference and under the general tab you should have driver 5.5.
One user had to delete the old printer driver before Software Update loaded the newer printer driver.

On my MacBook Pro (w Snow Leopard) I always had to reconnect my wifi at home when it woke up. I upgraded my router from an old Netgear to a newer N D-Link and stopped having to do that.
I would be surprised you would have that problem with an Airport Extreme, you might check to see if there is a firmware update for it.

Your Officejet 4620 is eFax compatible but does not come with a free eFax account. The post titled eFax Support by @JDCorral from eFax is applicable to your printer and situation. I have included the link to the eFax website.

HP printer not saving paper tray preset

Hi,
Leopard has seemingly removed my ability to set a default "paper feed" tray setting on my HP 1320.
In Tiger, I had a saved preset that always printed from TRAY 2. Leopard sees this preset and defaults to it like it should, but the print feed now says AUTO-SELECT, which prints from TRAY 3. I can manually switch it to TRAY 2 and it works fine, but I don't want to do this every time I print.
I tried making a new preset with TRAY 2 selected, but that dialog box defaults to AUTO-SELECT right when I hit SAVE.
It appears that lots of people with various HP laser printers have the same problem.
Any solutions anyone or Apple?

We are aware of this problem and working with Apple on a fix. I don't have any other details to share at this time, or any way of working around the problem, but I wanted to make sure you knew we are aware of it.

Outlook 2010 and HP Laserjet 3005d paper tray choice

Windows 7, Offfice 2010. HP Laserjet P3005d. Stand alone computer.
This problem only occurs when printing from Outlook 2010. No other Microsoft or other program on our system shows this problem.
We have an extra tray for this printer, and it is included as Tray 3 on one of the Printing Shortcuts options at Print Options/Properties.
Problem: Outlook 2010 will not print from Tray 3. When we choose to print from Tray 3, the printing keeps diverting to the default tray, Tray 2. It loses the setting to print from Tray 3.
This phenomena has never happened with earlier versions of Outlook. We have the latest driver, which was automatically chosen from HP as a Universal driver.
Can anyone suggest a fix please?

Not printing to correct paper tray

It seems all of a sudden when trying to print from Iphoto it is choosint the wrong paper tray, not the photo paper tray. How do I fix this?

Download and install the latest drivers for your printer model. Get it either from the manufacture's website or from Apple's Downloads site: Apple - Support - Search

My new hp photosmart printer 7510 will not print to photo paper always prints on regular paper tray

When I set the printer up , it printed a beautifl photo, now when I try to print a picture, I add in the print box 4x6 and photo paper, but it always prints on regular paper. how do I get it to print on the photo paper? I am using winows 7 and it is wireless

Lets try manually setting to the photo tray:
- Click the Start orb -> Click Devices/Printers
- Find and right click your printer -> Click Printer preferences
- Select the Paper/Quality Tab -> in the "select paper source" choose the photo tray
- Set the paper size (the next option down) accordingly

Okay the printer that I have access to is set to these settings:
Control panel - system setup - paper setup
Then you should have these options:
There is a default paper type screen but I don't have a screen shot of that one.
Same for tray 1.
You will have them for each tray (tray 1, Tray 2, Tray 3)
My tray settings are:
Tray 1 - paper size = any, paper type = any
Tray 2 - same as tray 1
Tray 3 is set as:

Can only print with manual feed and NOT from the paper tray from websites

When I try to print something from a website, I must manually feed the paper in the manual feed slot. It will not print from the tray. This problem does not happen when I print something from an email with no downloads or something from MSword or Excel. So, it's most likely a browser printer setting issue. Any ideas?

Probably related to printer preferences and how they relate to Firefox. If you did the complete reset all the printer setting that Firefox would saved would have been cleared and gone back to the default settings. Without familiarity with that specific printer ''(or even knowing which printer you are using)'' the best advice I can offer is to seek help from a support forum for that brand printer, or for you to reinstall the printer software to get back to the defaults.

My new hp photosmart printer 7525 will not print to photo paper always prints on regular paper tray

Hi, I'm having a problem with the Crytal Reports 8, I send to print using the paper source number 2, but its can't apply it and it's printing getting the paper from the source 1.
Can anybody help me?

Not sure about CR 8, can you create another printer (same printer, but different name), set that printer to default to tray 2, then send the report to the Tray2 printer name and see what happens. (Not an elegant fix, but....)
