Built-in Output not working

My built-in output is not working. It does, however, detect that I have headphones plugged in, but no sound comes out of any pair of headphones I have tried. I have already gone through my prefs, I believe it is a hardware problem. Could someone help me with any ideas on how to fix that?

Hey Sig, Thanks for your response. Its grayed probably because I have My audio interface selected. But when I switch back to built in output. And try to play I-Tunes for example it dose not play unless I use the mouse to move the volume control on the little speaker up top and even then it sputters. If I take my finger off the mouse I get nothing. The built in output is feeding a 5.1 logic tech surround sound setup which has been hooked up since day one with no problems. I was laying down tracks in logic 9 A recording program. And when I was done thats when I saw the speaker icon. Thanks Bill

Please help;
Built-in speakers not working after using audio port to run remote speakers.
I tried using the FAQ in iTunes to solve problem. Built-in speakers will not play sound.
Under system prefs., sound, the device shows; Digital Out under port; Built-in Output
Under settings for the selected device;
The selected device has no outpt controls.
When I adjust volume the sound level meter shows level on high but cancelled out (circle w/ slash).
I notice RED LIGHT from inside sound port. Sound works when headphone are plugged in but not external speakers.

HP Mini 110-3700 built-in camera not working

I just bought my HP Mini 110-3700 (LV831PA#UUF) last january. I just tried using the HP camera twice to check if the image it captures is clear. Yesterday, i will use the camera for a video chat but the messenger said "Cannot detech the camera/ device is not connected).When I had clicked the link for the HP Camera it had open but the light indicator didn't have any light and the camera isn't working.
I already tried restoring the HP mini to factory settings but after that, the camera isn't working still. What should I do? Need help ASAP.

First try opening multi tasking by double clicking the home button and scroll through until you fine weather app, hold it until it start bouncing and then delete it. Then try opening it again and see if it is working. If not repeat the previous step and then reset your device by holding the home button and the lock button simultaneity until screen goes black then release. Wait until device restarts and try the app again. If the problem still exists than back up the device either on its home computer or through iCloud reinstall the software. If it comes to this step there are more in depth tutorials online: just google it. Tell me if this helps.

Need help on hp pavilion dv6-3151sf built in speakers not working but can hear sound using the headphone. Is there a service manual on how to replace or check the speakers?

In answer to your question about the service manual, there sure is, and I am happy to help you with this.
You can find it on the support page for your model, or just use this link: HP Pavilion dv6 Entertainment PC - Maintenance and Service Guide.
Within the service guide you will find the replacement instructions for the individual assemblies, and also the part numbers. I would start with just checking the connection to make sure it is good, and if there is still no sound from the speakers, you can also try this page as well, before replacing the part.

My Aspire 5750-6438 built in microphone not working.

My Aspire 5750-6438 built in microphone not working. My OS is windows 7 64-bit. I have updated all the driver. Built in microphone is not even recognized in the sound setting.

Go into the device manager and check to see if there is a yellow or red icon next to your built-in microphone. If there is a red one, it's probably disabled, see if you can enable it. If it is yellow, right click to uninstall it, then restart your notebook to see if it installs correct and starts working. Look through these steps if it does start showing up in the sound manager.
If it does not, you can try to remember when it worked last and try a system restore. If you cannot remember, you might have a hardware problem or can try to perform a recovery as a last resort to see if that solves it.

Built-In Speaker not working

Hi, I have a powermac g4 quicksilver and I'm a bit annoyed that the internal speaker isn't working. The cone itself works fine, as I've tested it on a g4 digital audio but when connected to the quicksilver's motherboard, nada, zilch.
The audio card itself appears to be working since I can get output from the headphone socket and the card shows up in sound preferences, but I can't get the blasted built in speaker to work, which is a shame considering it's very good.
I've checked the underside of the motherboard just in case the the solderings weren't up to scratch, but I'm not sure how it SHOULD look. Before attempting any repairs, does anyone have any possible solutions?

Since you confirmed the speaker and cable is fine and the headphone out put works the next thing to check is whether the speaker cutout circuit in the headphone jack is broken.

What happens is the jack gets damaged and the speaker return opens up. Happens all the time to the computers I take care of at a school. The kids rip out the headphones and the jack gets damaged and the sound is messed up.

The HDMI output of my tablet AT200 doesn't work with any TV set.
My AT 200 tablet is under ICS.
I tried both HDMI configurations : full screen and video window. No effect at all.

I connected the HDMI output to a Sony KDL 32 E 5500. It simply does not work.
The same TV HDMI input works fine with a DVD player.
The AT 200 tablet is under ICS (upgrade in France).
I tried both HDMI configurations : full screen and video window.
Should I send it back for repair ?

There are two outputs: Mirror and video area only.
Mirror:
External device copies the image on the tablet screen
Video area only:
The external display device shows the playback when open a multimedia
But You should firstly check the Android Settings:
Under the option Screen you will find the option HDMIO video mode
Tap this to switch between the HDMI video output mode.
You could also try to connect the HDMI device under following conditions:
- Tablet is turned on
- Tablet is completely turned off
- when you connect TV or external monitor to HDMI port, then display output is set to HDMI
- when you plug and replug the cable, wait at least 5 sec before you replug the HDMI cable.

HDMI output not working since firmware upgrade

I would appreciate troubleshooting tips for getting the HDMI output to work. I just tried it recently for the first time in a long while, approximately 4 weeks after doing the firmware update to 2.2. When I did it before, plugging in the HDMI cable would automatically start output to my HD TV. Now that is no longer the case. Changing the HDMI output from "Auto" to "720p" does not make a difference either.
Otherwise, everything works well and I've been satisfied with my Creative 7 to date. I have installed several apps so it could be that there is a conflict and nothing related to the firmware upgrade.
Any troubleshooting suggestions would be appreciated.

Well I've received my refurbished device for about a week now. The HDMI still doesn't work either with Zii Video or a 3rd party app MoboPlayer. ?I am tempted to reinstall the firmware upgrade again. Is it ok to try this or is it only a one time attempt?
Perhaps this should be a separate thread but are any of the "Phone 2 SD" apps compatible with the Ziio 7? Whenever I use the "Move to SD card" option, there is still no program moved to the external SD card. ?I have a Ziio 7 with 6 GB of memory as well as a 6GB micro SD card. ?My memory settings are:
- SD Card: total space - 5.43GB; Available space - 5.43GB
- Device media storage: Total space - 2.48GB; Available Space - 2.3 GB
- System storage: Total Space - .97 GB; Available space - .59GB
In Settings>Applications>Manage Applications, the "On SD Card" tab lists several programs lists several apps but none of them are actually on the external SD card.

Please be also sure that right HDMI port on your TV is enabled.

HDMI output not working on my Satellite L500

The HDMI output on my Satellite L500 seems to have stopped working in the past few months.
I've tried different cables but it is still not working.
Any ideas?

T410 with integrated graphics - DVI output not working on Mini Dock 3 (4337)

I tried connecting my external monitor to the DVI output of the Mini Dock and it did not work. I have since connected it with no issus to the VGA output.
However, I want to use the digital (DVI) connection for my monitor........how can i fix this issue?
NOTE: I have a T410 with the integrated graphics so my laptop screen does not display while docked (I keep the lid closed).

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with no Display when connected to docking station on your ThinkPad T410.
Have you checked updating the Intel graphic driver from Lenovo support site?
Please provide the current Graphic driver version showing in device manager.
Is the system having Windows 7 or Windows 8 OS?

I'm having the same problem. Once I download the dictionary it turns to an X and nothing is downloaded. I've restarted several times. Any other ideas?

Ipod Built In Speaker Not Working

I've been using my ipod and everything has been fine up to yesterday when the built in speaker stopped working. I can still get sound using headphones but that's it, it worked the previous night, I then charged my ipod in between and now the internal speaker doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I am assuming that you do not have a Fifth Generation iPod buy you have a Fifth Generation iPod NANO and posted in the wrong area.
Try a Reset (hold down the menu and center buttons for 6 seconds). If that does not work try restoring the Nano in iTunes. If neither works you have a hardware problem with the headphone jack and you need to get it serviced.
