Built-in PDF not working on Mac.
Hi there,
I can not create PDF's on my Mac at the moment. When I do all I get are parts of the file in a PDF, not a complete file e.g. images and text missing.
Also when i receive PDF's via email, I can view them partially, but again text and images in the file are missing (when i view them on my iphone they come through as a correct and complete file...)
Any idea why this could be? It's managed to drive me partially insane trying to figure it out...

If you are referring to the Preview application...
Try this. Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Now open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.Preview.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
See if that makes a difference.

I am not sure why where the PDF was created would make a difference but couldnt help but notice that was the difference between the PDF files that work and the ones that give that message. I can view the PDFs on a windows computer just fine and never had issues untill adobe, it seems to have messed up PDFs on my Mac and I am so frustrated with them. I have searched my computer for any remaining adobe files, deleted them and restarted my computer but I am still getting this message.Uninstall Adobe Reader's plug-in.
Remove the following two files from /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/:
AdobePDFViewer.plugin
AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin
Open Safari Preferences > Extensions. Do you see AdobePDFViewer? If yes. disable.
Log out/in and test.
Another option is to download and install this plugin. Schubert|it PDF Browser Plugin . PDF Browser Plugin 2 is free for not-for-profit activities if used at home or at educational institutions.

My own built fullscreen mode flv player is not working in Mac OS

Help!!!I am running Mac OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite and iPhoto Version 9.6 (910.29). Automatic updates in the Mac App Store is turned on for my iMac and it shows no updates available. I was told directly by Apple Support on the date that I wrote this article (Nov 8, 2014) that there were no Canon drivers and photo transfer software that worked with Yosemite. I was told by Canon that the workaround was to change the communication method from Normal to PTP on the camera, which did provide a solution. At that time I was running Mac OS X 10.10 (because the 10.10.1 update was not yet available) and the most up-to-date version of iPhoto for Mac OS X 10.10 that was available at that time, at least per the Mac App Store. With the Mac OS X 10.10.1 update if the camera is in PTP communications mode the thumbnails now appear in the Import screen in iPhoto almost immediately. If the camera is returned to Normal communications mode; however, it takes forever for the thumbnails to appear. I have been waiting 10 minutes and iPhoto has generated only 14 thumbnails. So it appears that there is still something not working properly between the original Canon EOS Digital Rebel and Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 when the communications mode on the camera is set to Normal. -
CS4 "Save as Adobe PDF" not working in Mountain Lion

Just bought a new Mac with mountain lion, installed CS4 design premium twice trying to fix this. When you go to "print" then "Save as Adobe PDF" the process fails with a pop-up saying "An error occurred while saving the PDF file". I can still do the standard "Save as PDF" - but that usually results in a file size 10x larger than Save as Adobe PDF so it won't work for me; I need the small file sizes of Save as Adobe PDF.
When I go to Help > Repair Acrobat Installation it seems to be recognizing a repair needed with Adobe PDF Printer (see screenshot below); but when I go through the repair nothing changes it still won't work.
Any help is much appreciated!"Save As Adobe PDF" works fine in Snow Leopard.
Thanks for the link, but this is no help - I already have "Save As Adobe PDF" on the menu - the problem is when I click that it errors out...
I just think its sad that Adobe charges people $2000 and provides zero support for future updates; when I buy an iMac for half that amount of money or an iPhone I get operating system support and bug fix downloads to deal with the latest internet advances for years to come - but Adobe apparently takes your money and says sayonara! Is it really that hard to provide updates on $2000 worth of software for say 24 months?? -
Audio captcha is not working in mac safari 5.1.7.
We used a code snippet that is working in other browser like IF 7,8,9, crome and firefox.

HP Mini 110-3700 built-in camera not working
I just bought my HP Mini 110-3700 (LV831PA#UUF) last january. I just tried using the HP camera twice to check if the image it captures is clear. Yesterday, i will use the camera for a video chat but the messenger said "Cannot detech the camera/ device is not connected).When I had clicked the link for the HP Camera it had open but the light indicator didn't have any light and the camera isn't working.
I already tried restoring the HP mini to factory settings but after that, the camera isn't working still. What should I do? Need help ASAP.

I have a licensed copy of Adobe Acrobat X Pro for Windows. I recently switched over to MAC OS and would like to move my Adobe X Pro over but the CD will not work for Mac OS? Can anyone assist me with this conversion?

James.you cannot use your pc license to install on a mac. you would need a separate license (and serial number) for that.
adobe allows platform swaps, but only with the latest (xi) version, Order product | Platform, language swap
your option to use acrobat on a mac are to upgrade to acrobat pro xi and change platforms, use a windows emulator (parallels/boot camp etc) on your mac or swap with a third party. -

When I try to install any AIR application on OS X Yosemite (updated last week) I have got error ""Adobe AIR Application Installer" is damaged and can't be opened.".
Uninstall and re-install AIR runtime didn't solve this issue. It works fine with Mac OS X Yosemite beta.It works fine with latest Adobe AIR Runtime (this week update).

why repaint method is not working in MAC IE ? What i am doing is in one class which is inheriting Canvas class getting the keybord input then adding it to main applet.

Thanks for your reply. Actually i wrote simple applets and those are working well.
So i did debug the code and i found that when i am running the following code in Apple MAC IE, nothing is happening in handleEvent method. Especially it is not going into the if statement (if (evt.id==401)). here i am checking for KEY_PRESS. I also tried with keyDown method but same problem in MAC IE.
I am pasting the code that is giving me problem.

1. Insert the Leopard Installation disk into the computer.
2. The disk will appear on the desktop.
3. Double click on the "Optional Installs" folder.
4. Double click on the "Optional Installs.mpkg."
5. Click on (Continue) in Introduction.
6. Click on (Continue) in Software License Agreement.
7. Click on (Agree) to agree to the terms of the software license agreement.
8. Click on the disclosure arrow ▶ next to Applications.
9. Select (✓) iCal.
10. Click (Continue).
11. After iCal has been reinstalled, download and install the Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update to bring iCal up to the most recent version. -

First try opening multi tasking by double clicking the home button and scroll through until you fine weather app, hold it until it start bouncing and then delete it. Then try opening it again and see if it is working. If not repeat the previous step and then reset your device by holding the home button and the lock button simultaneity until screen goes black then release. Wait until device restarts and try the app again. If the problem still exists than back up the device either on its home computer or through iCloud reinstall the software. If it comes to this step there are more in depth tutorials online: just google it. Tell me if this helps.
