Built-in way to skip navigation or remember browser page position?

Hello,
I've received a request to modify our portal UI so that users with low resolutions do not have to scroll passed the header navigation on every page load. They would like the user's browser to be brought down to the main content of the page.
Is there a built in way to have the Portal keep track of where the user is working on the page, like there is in ASP.NET? This can be done manually with anchors but I'm looking for something more automatic and maintainable.

the "Scroll To Window" feature added in 9.2 ( IIRC) may solve this issue

I am using APEX 4.0.
I was working on 508 standards for the application, I am having problem seeing "Skip Navigation" link when disable styles through browser (View-style-no style).
I was using "One Level Tabs" template through out the application, I have placed the following code under BODY section

when I disable styles the link supposed to show, but right now its not doing that.

It worked with this syntax in addition to existing code.

Chances are the pinnacle is producing .avi files or MPEFG1/2 streams - iTunes may know how to decode the audio but not the video. Download Handbrake and try running the Pinnacle files through it and adding to iTunes - use Universal format unless you have a specific device in mind.
Keep copies of the originals.
Another option might be to try to install Perian. Can't remember if the Apple MPEG2 plugin allows MPEG2 to be played in iTunes.

Is there any way to force Firefox to remember passwords?

As many have complained about, there is a growing trend for websites to prevent browsers, including Firefox, from remembering passwords. This is absolutely infuriating. Like most people, I have on the order of 100 passwords, and thanks to idiotic, overzealous IT guys who need to justify their own jobs, we are forced to constantly change them to ludicrous, impossible-to-remember combinations of symbols and numbers. (Does anybody really get their accounts stolen because some hacker sits down and tries to guess their password? Somehow I find that very, very hard to believe.)
First world problems, I know. My question though is simple: is there any way to force Firefox to remember passwords? Perhaps an add-on or external program of some kind? I know there are password manager programs, but the last time I checked, those were all but worthless and didn't work as well as the built-in Firefox support for remembering passwords. I've seen some mention here and there about ways to maybe change it so the volume buttons change tracks and holding the volume buttons changes the volume... but I don't know what's involved in that or if its even possible/recommended for a new 5th gen iPod. I think its a great device but its sadly lacking in music oriented functions and features... which is disappointing since music is why most people would bother getting one instead of some other "iDevice" :/

Given that you cannot do what you have asked for, perhaps you simply need to find another solution to your root problem.
Presumably, you want to skip to the next track because you don't want to hear the current one, and that is because...
You don't like it.
You've heard it recently and don't want to hear it now.
Simply don't want to hear it at this time.
For problem number 1. Don't put it on the iPod in the first place. (I know, obvious answer!)
For problem number 2. How about playing from a Smart Playlist (initially created in your iTunes Library) which has only songs you've not played recently?
For problem number 3. Hhhmmm! Create alternative Playlists for use in the car.
As for going back to the start of the "now playing" track.... Well, if your Playlist has only songs that you really, really want to hear, then you'll be looking forward to that rather go back to the beginning of the current song.
I'm not trying to be prescriptive, just giving you food for thought.
(They are all cheaper options than buying a car which can control the iPod from the steering wheel.)

Seems from many threads/posts Apps are the main culprit in the sloooooooo
back up process.
Some people have disables back ups altogether. Others x out of the long back up.
The back up has its obvious need if/when you need it.
Is there a way to skip the App process only of the back up process?
In that way you could do a full backup/sync of the iP with the exception of the Apps you've got.

You can set up a new photo stream. Just go onto your camera roll. Select the photos you want. Tap share. Click Photo Stream. Then click Create new photo stream. You can then give it a title (example: Summer 2013) and add others to it if you want to share the photos with them too!

Do you create a new tab when you open a new project or album? Hold down the Cmnd key as you click on a project or album, you get a new tab in the browser. Aperture remembers where you were in each tab.

I'm running JDev 11.1.1.0.1 and 10.3 stand-alone weblogic server. Due to the problem with IE6 and rich text objects, I've redone my application using trinidad components. The rich text version of the app ran fine on both the integrated and stand-alone server (using firefox 3). The trinidad version runs fine in the integrated server, but on the stand-alone server, the following link appears at the top of the page and command buttons do not work (in both firefox and IE 6):

Did you try to delete the existing css file
WEB-INF\temp\adf\styles\cache\oracle-desktop-<....>.css

Though this thread talks about ADF Faces, not Trinidad, the issue with an invalid CSS file might be the same if you added your custom skin. As a last hint to give, how did you replace or convert the af:html, af:body elements (if used). These are handling the skin loading

Any way to skip a metadata field when using "Import Maps" via Archiver?

Typically when you import an archive, you want to keep both the file & the metadata. However, I have a scenario where I need to keep the existing metadata value.
For example,
If the content archive has "ABC" for dDocAccount, and the environment I'm importing to has "XYZ" for dDocAccount, I want it to remain at "XYZ". The native file, as expected, is imported.
If there's a way to skip ALL metadata importing, that would work for me too. I just need to import the file. Before you ask, no, I cannot do a simple check out/in. This has to be done in Archiver.

Using dDocAccount was really a poor example choice, but I chose to use that instead since it's very common, and everybody knows about it. The actual field I'm trying to maintain is xWebsites for Site Studio (but no matter which field I mention, I still need the same effect). I don't want to use value maps because then I'll have to create a billion archives...one for every combination of possible values the metadata value that's in the system. That'd be overkill, compared to just 1 archive.
The best I've come up with so far is to override the "UPDATE_BYREV" service and remove the "2:Umeta::0:null" service action. This does what I'm looking for, but that'll obviously affect all checkins (and other core functionality), and I simply want it to be done during an archive replication.
And yes, I know about URLs and accounts ... good thing I never use those poorly-designed user-unfriendly "web location" URLs.

i use itunes match, but i download the songs to my device as i have spotty service where i work and live.
i am upgrading to a larger size iphone and dont want to have to search through itunes match again and select all the songs i want to download again once i get the new phone. is there a way that itunes match will "remember" what song i have downloaded to my device and "re-download" them to the new device?
maybe via a playlist then just download the playlist? this seems like a lenghty way of doing it though.
anyhelp, tips or advice would be greatly appreciate. thanks

In previous versions, there was a choice to remember browsing history for a certain number of days, but in the current version the only choices seem to be to remember history or not remember history, with no way to customize in between. I don't want to have to clear my history and cache manually all the time, but I don't want it cleared every time I close my browser, either. Has the customization feature been removed entirely or am I missing something? And if it's been removed entirely, could it please be brought back? It's helpful for people who want their older browsing history to be deleted without deleting the entire history.

Hello, is there any way to know if the "Remember" checkbox of the Security panel is active or inactive? I just need this for a "local" domain application that access to the camera and the microphone. The camera.muted property es not enough because I need a permanent access, and if the "Allow" option is active but the "Remember" option is not active, I have no way to know if I have full access to the camera and microphone.

IMHO testing for an instance of Applet will not solve the problem because it seems that godbert has an (J)Applet including a main method which can be started as application and as applet.
One solution for solving the problem could be to store at startup if the program was started as applet or application. Storing this in the system properties makes it available for other components, too.
