Buisness Object XI 4.0 should run on Tomcat or Netweaver Java

Hi,
I'm interested to hear peoples opinions on it's wiser to use tomcat or sap's NetWeaver java stack. SAP have confirmed we can use java ce 720.
I'm of the opinion in the long run SAP will probably move away from tomcat and push there own product.
We are debating if it's wiser to stick with tomcat or move now to java CE 720.
Any opinions or experiences by any user greatly appreciated.

Just to close off this thread and provide some feedback for anyone else that may read this.
We attempted to put NetWeaver and BO on the same server and in the end we went back to tomcat. We had too many issues in NetWeaver e.g.
Errors in deployment.
Once this was fixed we got application errors i,e syntax errors in some of the deployed pages.
We found the support poor when it came to BO 4.0 (Ramp-up) and NetWeaver so we went back to tomcat.
To give credit the support is excellent for BO and tomcat.

We have just deployed Sharepoint 2013 and also CRM 2011..
Our Sharepoint 2013 Environment has a WFE and an APP server and we have a CRM 2011 box.
We have been getting the following error in IE when Users in CRM are clicking on the Document Link under accounts which links to Sharepoint 2013
"This Content cannot be displayed in a frame
To help protect the security of information you enter into this website, the publisher of this content does not allow it to be displayed in a frame."
It seems like it is a IE Security Issue, but I am suspecting it could be the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Sandboxed Code Service.
Which server should be running the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Sandboxed Code Service| WFE or APP.
Also which server should run the Windows Service: SharePoint User Code Host

Not getting the associated buisness object in web ui

Hi all ,
I have created a workflow which send an user decision as workitem in crm web ui . But when i m executing the buisness object , i m not able to see the associated buisness object . Can anyone tell me do i need any customizing in SPRO to bring the associated buisness object in UI . My BOR object is BUS1006. Please also provide the steps to do this type of customizing.

How to select server in which background job should run

Hi,
I want to run my program as background job. I want the user to select the server, in which background job should be run, in the selection screen of my program. When it is sheduled in background the job should run in the selected server.

Looks as if you're just at the minimum specs - http://www.apple.com/logicpro/specs/. Says 2GB minimum, 4GB recommended. And 2GB of RAM is all the RAM the 1,1 can handle. If I were you I would call Apple's App Store service center - you have the minimum requirements, as I read it, but perhaps you need a faster processor?
I had a 1,1 but sold it when I bought my late 2011 in March of this year - maybe it's time to look at a new machine?

Transaction should run at a particular time once in a day.

I have a transaction and an Xacute query. I am fetching data from local database, and posting a measuring document in SAP R/3. Right now i have to run the transaction manuallly to post the document.
I want that my transaction should run automatically at a particular time once in a day (at the end of the day), and document should get posted in R/3 at the end of the day.
Can you help me out, how to go ahead for the same.

In SAP MII Menu, In Left side Navigation,Go to
Business Logic Services---> Schedule Editor. In that window,select the transction you want to run and select the time pattern how fequently you want to run the transaction.

If your EP server is inside of the proxy, web target iview can not fetch target url. So you need to set
proxy values in System Administration.

You should run a new contract selection for item 0000000010

Hello Friends
i am trying to create a service request from WEB IC by confirming Account and Ibase and able to create without error.
if i end session and open the service request in change mode and if delete the ibase and save, then appeas the below message
"You should run a new contract selection for item 0000000010", going through OSS notes, but found nothing.
Transaction type ZXXX : we set
Contract Determination is set to 'E' : Assign at Item leve : Assign immediately if unique for .
if i open the service ticket in CRMD_ORDER and go in change mode if i click process action button next to error, this will disappear. but it comes when i assing a ibase to the request, so its working only when i first create without errors.
users do not use crmd_order to process error and WEB CI does not have process action feature.
any sort of help will be appreciated.

Which release are you using ?
This message appears when you change any field in the service ticket which has an influence on contract determination, such as ibase, ibase component, line item, ...
As of CRM2007 we have enabled a hyperlink for this message. Clicking the hyperlink will re-execute the contract selection.

JOB in Sql Server Agent should run multiple times.

Hi Guys,
I have a ETL SSIS job in Sql Server Agent, Which should run multiple times.
1. For Example : I scheduled a job at 10:00 PM, If the job fails at 10:00 PM it should run automatically again at 10:10 PM, if the job fails again at 10:10 PM then the job should run at 10:40 PM.
If the job gets success at first attempt i.e 10:00 PM, then it should not run at 10:10 PM.
Note : The time difference between jobs is 10 minutes and 30 minutes. And i know that we can run the job at regular intervals.

Just add retry attempts to whatever number you want (2 as per your original explanation) in Job step properties as below
Have a logic to include a delay of 10 mins . You can make use of WAITFOR function for that

Workflow - Create a new buisness object type for an new infotype.

I have an issue with creating a new buisness object type, which is related to a
supertype, for an new infotype.
I am new to workflow and business object. I don't have much knowledge in these area. I need to resolve this problem ASAP.
Could someone please provide me a step-by-step guide on how to create a new business object type, which is related to an existing supertype, for an newly created infotype?

Business objects are maintained in SWO1 creating a subtype is done with the button: Create subtype (F9)
If you don't have knowledge of workflow or abap objects, it is perhaps better to tell your employer that and find someone who has.
If your problem is simply only creating a subtype then go with the instructions I already gave you, if however more things need to be done, like extending the subtype with (virtual)attributes, methods, events, delegating the subtype and implementing the methods in newly created tasks and subsequently workflows I really advise to find someone who can do this, or attend a SAP course on this subject.

Hello Sudheer,
The trace can be set on background jobs by using ST12 transaction. Please make sure that the trace is activated for only few minutes in production environment.
Contact your basis team to activate trace on background job and the transaction used is ST12.

Always state the Forms Version and DB version when posting queries.

If you want a job to be run at fixed times and/ or repeat then you should use DBMS_SCHEDULER to schedule a PL/SQL procedure. Forms is not the right thing to use for this.
