Bulk load to change deferred task date

We initially loaded users with password expirations and a defered task we created to send them emails starting 15 days before the password expires. We want to move these dates out. Can we do a bulk load and change the dates?
Thanks,
Larry

the deferred task scanner is expensive too. so much so in fact, that we dont use it. in fact, we keep a users "nextTaskDate" as a queriable attribute, which lets us get a result set of users that have tasks on that date. no more iterating through the users to find them. with this, its much easier to do what i had reccommended earlier.

  • Issue with Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task

    Hello,
    I successfully loaded users in OIM using the bulk load utility.  I also have LDAP sync ON.  The documentation says to run the Bulk Load Post Process scheduled task to push the loaded users in OIM into LDAP.
    This works if we run the Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task right away after the run the bulk load.
    If some time had passed and we go back to run the Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task, some of the users loaded through the bulk load utility are not created in our LDAP system.  This created an off-sync situation between OIM and our LDAP.
    I tried to use the usr_key as a parameter to the Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task without success.
    Is there a way to force the re-evaluation of these users so they would get created in LDAP?
    Thanks
    Khanh

    The scheduled task carries out post-processing activities on the users imported through the bulk load utility.

  • Deferred task date change problem

    Hi,
    Every user in IDM has a deferred task as shown below. The requirement is to change the 'Date' value to set the time as 23:59:59.00Z.
    At the moment different users have different times set for them. All need to be same as mentioned above. Please assist me in this with a faster way as there are more than 5K users.

    A code in xpress would be of great help.But much more lines of code :-(
    I am not sure if we have any already existing java or need to write
    a new one. So, I think writing a custom workflow will be a good way.I avoid writing XPRESS code unless it is absolutely necessary, so here I cannot help you :-( I think a
    stand-alone Java program of ~20 lines would complete your task.
    Also, task.setStartDate(<the date>); requires a date object. Problem
    here is to set the time to 23:59 for the same date.
    (new SimpleDateFormat("yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm")).parse("2011-04-14 23:59", new ParsePosition(0));

  • Deferred Task Date - Issue

    Hello,
    I am attaching to deferred to a user object, for the date argument I am adding 2 hours to the current time. In the workflow trace I see the date argument is returning correctly i.e. adding 2 hours to the current time, but when I see the user object (from debug pages) it is adding additional 5 hours (including the 2hours) for the date argument.
    It looks like by default it is adding additional 5 hours and not sure how to control this.
    Did anybody come across a similar issue? I think it is not a code issue, some configuration settings I need to change and don't know where to change this.
    Please share any ideas.
    Thanks in advance.

    Yes, the deferred tasks show a time in comparison with the GMT. So, I think your code is correct, it just shows the different time in the user object, but actually it is the addition of 2 hours to it (considering GMT).
    e.g. If you are in India, it shows 6 hours latter time in the user object than the current.
    Your local time - 2011-04-08T00:00:00.000Z
    Time in debug pages - 2011-04-08T06:00:00.000Z
    When you add 2 hours to this, it shows 2011-04-08T08:00:00.000Z in Debug, BUT in fact it is 2011-04-08T02:00:00.000Z

  • User Exit / BADI to change Project WBS Element/Task data

    Hi,
    We are using BAPI BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN to create Project in R/3. We are passing Company Code to Project Definition Structure ( BAPI_PROJECT_DEFINITION ). BAPI updates Header company code at line item ( WBS element / Task ) level also. We do not want company code at line item level.
    Is any User Exit or BADI available in the above BAPI to change WBS/Task data. Also I would like to know whether we can control data flow ( from header to Line item ) through customisation.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Thanks. BADI WORKBREAKDOWN_UPDATE has import parameters. It does not have export parameters. I can not change import parameter data.
    I am looking for user exit or BADI to change WBS/Task data.

  • Dates appear different in log file vs. debug page for Deferred Task

    I added a deferred task and in the log file, the date appeared correctly as
    Mon Dec 15 16:34:11 PST 2008
    But when I viewed the user in the debug page, the date appeared as
    <Date>2008-12-16T00:34:11.430Z</Date>
    I called an external java class that return a Date object
    <Action id='0' application='com.waveset.session.WorkflowServices'>
    <Argument name='op' value='addDeferredTask'/>
    <Argument name='date'>
    <invoke name='addWeekDays' class='MyDateUtil'/>
    </Argument>
    </Action>
    Do you have any ideas?

    IDM commonly stores dates in a Java or JDBC date format (which is what your debug date is) but often formats the date differently for log files and for web pages. It's annoying if you're trying to line two different outputs up.

  • Bulk Insert Task Cannot bulk load because the file could not be opened.operating system error error code 3(The system cannot find the path specified.)

    Following error i am getting after i chnaged the Path in Config File from
    \\vs01\d$\\Deployment\Files\temp.txt
    to
    C:\Deployment\Files\temp.txt
    [Bulk Insert Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Cannot bulk load because the file "C:\Deployment\Files\temp.txt" could not be opened. Operating system error code 3(The system cannot find the path specified.).".

    I think i know whats going on. The Bulk Insert task runs by executing sql command (bulk insert) internally from the target sql server to load the file. This means that the SQL Server Agent of the target sql server should have permissions on the file you trying to load. This also means that you need to use UNC path instead to specify the file path (if the target server in on different machine)
    Also from BOL (see section Usage Considerations - last bullet point)
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms141239.aspx
    * Only members of the sysadmin fixed server role can run a package that contains a Bulk Insert task.
    Make sure you take care of this as well.

  • Bulk loading of Customer data into Application

    Hi Guys,
    I am going on with the development of Teleservice module on a new instance.
    Now i need to migrate the data on the old instance to the new instance.
    Please let me know if i have to use only APIs to create the customer into Apps or whether i can bulk load into the seeded tables directly.
    This has to include even Service Requests data also.
    Please let me know if there is any integration violation if we go with bulk loading of data directly.

    You donot need to develop a code for loading customer data anymore. Oracle has provided the BUlk IMport functionality in 11.5.8 for importing the customer infromation (using Oracle Customers Online/Oracle Data Libraian modules). If you would like to create accounts in addition to customer parties, you will have to use TCA V2 apis or customer interface program. For migrating the service requests, i guess the only option is to use APIs. HTH, Venit

    To load that file with BULK INSERT, use this format file:
    9.0
    4
    1 SQLCHAR 0 0 "\""      0 ""    ""
    2 SQLCHAR 0 0 "\",\""   1 col1  Latin1_General_CI_AS
    3 SQLCHAR 0 0 "\",\""   2 col2  Latin1_General_CI_AS
    4 SQLCHAR 0 0 "\"\r\n"  3 col3  Latin1_General_CI_AS
    Note that the format file defines four fields while the fileonly seems to have three. The format file defines an empty field before the first quote.
    Or, since you already have a .NET program, use a stored procedure with table-valued parameter instead. I have an example of how to do this here:

  • Anyone know setting primary key deferred help in the bulk loading

    Hi,
    Anyone know by setting primary key deferred help in the bulk loading in term of performance..cos i do not want to disable the index, cos when user query the existing records in the table, it will affect the search query.
    Thank You...

    In the Oracle 8.0 documentation when deferred constraints were introduced Oracle stated that defering testing the PK constraint until commit time was more efficient than testing each constraint at the time of insert.
    I have never tested this assertion.
    In order to create a deferred PK constraint the index used to support the PK must be created as non-unique.

  • Reg Bulk Load of Data

    Hi all,
    In company visibility setting in company administration, there is an option of checking "Allow Bulk Load of Data by Customer care,..
    in documents i learned that it its used to allow customer care to bulk load the data to siebel crm on demand,
    i want to know, how the data will be uploaded by customer care, so whats the procedure of doing that actually? We must give our database to customer care?
    regards,
    Uday

    This is mostly done the v first time a customer moves to production. You just need to enable this option and contact customer care. Siebel consultant will upload the data onto the database. This is done when customer has huge volumes of data that needs to be uploaded into OnDemand.
