Bulk publishing of Report Groups from Analyzer as part of an overnight routine

I have a need to routinely "publish" to pdf a group of reports. This must be done after the Essbase cube has been refreshed. The resultant pdf files must be put in a specific directory depending on the dimensionality. Has anybody done this, or have any words of wisdom about how best to do this

I followed the instructions to create a report that gives the client the option to select an output format using a select list. ( http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/apex/apex31nf/apex31rpt.htm#t2 ).
This works great, but I have a predefined template that I created using BI Publisher that I would like the PDF report format to use instead of the generic layout. All the other formats can use the generic layout option, but the PDF report needs to use the .rtf file. Is this possible, and if so, how?

Delete Report painter from group

How to delete a Report painter from a group which is assign to it.
I mean I have created a report assign it to a group to run it. But I want to delete it can some tell what is the way to delete it.

Hi,
You can delete a report from a report group from transaction code GR52.
Enter the report group in transaction code and press enter. It will display the reports attached to the report group. Select the report which needs to be deleted and click on delete ?(red icon).

we can publish ur reports directly from the BEx analyser by clicking the globe button.
You use the Broadcasting layout profile to display precalculated objects or online links that you have published in a KM folder using the BEx Broadcaster.
This layout profile is tailored to the needs of users who work with business intelligence content in the portal. By default, it is preset in the KM navigation iViews BEx Portfolio and My Portfolio in the Business Explorer portal role.
You can apply the layout profile to the KM folder that you want to use for your business intelligence content.
The technical name of the layout profile is Broadcasting: ConsumerBroadcasting.

Report Groups and Libraries

Hi,
I have a query related to report groups download. We had a requirement of moving reports from 4.6 systems to 4.5 systems. So we downloaded the report groups from 4.6 system into our local hard drives (and thought of uploading in 4.5 systmes thereafter). But while downloading we got several warnings. One of those warninigs is as:
W-R3OB REWR RGVD\CCSS\ZC-PLN-TOTAL-YTD-V2 >>> group 0101PMCO100EXEC not transported
W-R3OB REWR RGVD\CCSS\ZC-PLN-TOTAL-YTD-V2 >>> Transport groups separately if necessary.
We ignored this warning and tried uploading the report group in 4.5 systmes. There while uploading we got many errors for the report groups. One of which is like:
E-R3OB SETS STSO\0000ZFNCOSTCTRGP.CCSS >>> Unknown subset in set 0000ZFNCOSTCTRGP.CCSS
E-R3OB SETS STSO\0000ZFNCOSTCTRGP.CCSS >>> Import of object unsuccessful, object not imported
Being unware of this sets theory in report groups, i am looking out for some expert advise if somebody has dealt with this kind of problem anytime.

Hi,
I don't know if its possible to suppress/hide libraries/reports.
Create T-codes for the reports the users really need and add the reports to the corresponding area menu in SAP. Thus users don't have a need to use GRR3 anymore, remove the T-code from the authorization concept.

1. Not possible to put validation for selection criteria windows.
2. In standard, I don't think it is possible to hide only one item group.
3. Alternatively don't give authorization to user for running sales reports. If still need create customized query and ask user run every month.

EC_PCA_ITM Retrieval from Report Groups ?

Dear All,
I want to see the archive files content from the report group transaction.
The customization is maintained for the RW/RP Reports for EC-PCA Archives.
We have defined a custom transction for one of the Report Group Program.
Now, when I'm executing the transaction, and when I select the archive file, I'm not able to view that file's content. It's giving me a message saying : "Report XXXX-001 does not contain any data pages".
I've checked the OSS Notes for this scenario. But nothing is relevant.
Any clues on what to be done to view the data ?

Your provided transaction "GR55" helped me to find out the program name for a particular group. However, these are just Write and Painter reports.
But can you please let me know the functionality of these report groups ?? what are these used for ???
Do we have these programs for other archiving objects like CO_ITEM,CO_ML_BEL,MM_MATBEL,CO_ORDER,
PP_PLAN,PP_BKFLUSH ??

Cannot publish a report from BW to Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1

I have installed all of the applications required in the correct order and had this working at one point. When I went back to use it, it would no longer connect. I then wanted to change from one BW dev source to another and now I get:
"An error occurred while saving and/or publishing. The return code 1 was returned from the server. Unable to log on to Enterprise system. Reason: "
Can anyone help with this?
Like I said I had it working and now it just seems to have stopped working. I have the entitlement role and user set up. I have all of the required things set up.
I am having the transport files reimported now. I have no patches or service packs installed. I am using BO XI 3.1 and the latest integration kit.

Crystal Reports XI R2 Server problem when trying to load groups from LDAP

Hi,
I'm using Crystal Reports XI R2 SP4 on RedHat Linux. My users are being authorized through LDAP (OID). My problem is that after removing all groups (right now no groups/users are visible in CMC) in CMC Authentication tool and then trying to add them again I'm receiving following error:
"LDAP: Failed to commit objects to server : Duplicate object name in the same folder."
I've checked connectivity to LDAP server and it's ok. Could it be connected to CMS problems/corruption? Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

The only personal folders visible from under Admin panel are for users Administrator and Guest. I've tried to query CMS tables but these store entries not in plain text so I cannot identify entries connected to personal folders. I have also tried to do this via Query Repository tool but all returned entries were ok.
I have also noticed that when trying to load group from LDAP after it returns error "LDAP: Failed to commit objects to server : Duplicate object name in the same folder." entry for this group is created in CMS table. Also this group is then visible in admin Groups panel. No users are created with the group and when I'm trying to list users belonging to added group it returns "internal secLDAP security plug-in error" but without any other suggestion what went wrong.

When we use products on run time we are using data_parameter for passing record Groups to reports via run_product but now we have to use application server and reports server for same reports.
We met with <FRM-41214 Unable to run reports> for passing DATA_PARAMETER to reports server when used RUN_REPORTS_OBJECT.
How can we pass record Group from Forms with DATA_PARAMETER to Reports Server using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT?

Analyzer: Copying Report Groups

Hi All, Just trying to figure out how to copy report groups. History: We're in the process of creating a number of analyzer screens for a range of users. One of the issues being we only want them to have a drop down for their cost centres. At the moment they can see all the members in the Cost Centre Dimension when we only want them to see their group. Any thoughts, we're running Analyzer 7.0.1. Thanks in advance. Mark

Hello, I too have a situation like this. We can do the export &import but I was wondering if we can automate this process somehow?like I have atleast 200 groups and in this situation, importing& exporting doesnt seem pretty and efficient. Any ideas how wecan work this out?????????

To create a Transaction Code for a Report Painter/report writer report
Tcode for Report Painter
To create a TCode, follow the steps below.
1) Go to Transaction code SE93, Enter TCode Name and Press Create.
2) Give short Description and select Parameter Transaction, Press Enter
3) Select Transation Radio Button and write START_REPORT in the next text
box Also Check the box Skip Initial Screen.
4) On the bottom of Screen (default Values), Enter Parameters
i) Name = D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE. Value = RW
ii) Name = D_SREPOVARI-REPORT Value = Your Report Group Name (Say 1SIP)
5) Save and Execute.

Warning: There is no reporting group defined with a purpose of iRecruitment

Hi,
When i try to generate the offer letter in iRecruitment, i am getting the warning: There is no reporting group defined with a purpose of iRecruitment in "Enter compensation" Screen. However i am able to generate the offer letter,preview and submit the offer letter. I have referred the Article [ID 1168832.1] in oracle support. It suggest me to give the Temporary Directory file name using XML Publisher Administrator , but still the Warning appears.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. From Vacancy Search page, select applicant.
2. Create Offer: Enter Basic Details.
3. Warning: There is no reporting group defined with a purpose of iRecruitment for this business group.
4. Review page.
Version Details: Oracle Applications : 12.1.2
But still the offer letter is generated.
Can anyone advice me to over come this warning

I have the same behavior too. Looking at the iRecruitment implementation guide, I see reporting groups defined there.
1) Select your HRMS Superuser responsibility
2) Go to Total Compensation : General Definitions : Additional Setup : Reporting Groups
If you see no data, it's likely you have ... no reporting groups.
I think this time the error is pointing you in the right direction.

Main Reports' Group Tree doesn't retain last record selected

In Crystal 2008 Viewer, when you click one of the last tree nodes on a long Group Tree, the program jumps to that part of the report for that group. But when you return to the Main report tab the Group Tree pane returns to the top.
According to my users, previous Crystal versions used to outline the previously selected tree node and keep that section in the left pane, so the user could see where they just were.
This partially works in the Crystal 2008 Developer version. If I preview the report and drill down with the group tree, the Preview tab's group tree pane stays in place. I do not, however, have any outline or indication of what group was just selected.
I found this in the help text: "For longer reports or reports in which you wish to jump back and forth between different groups, the smart navigation features of the Group Tree make your work extremely efficient." For the users to jump back and forth efficiently they need the Main Reports' group tree to remember the general location from which they came (at a minimum) AND/OR the previously drilled record also be highlighted/outlined (at best).

Short dump while executing report group.

Hi,
We are upgrading to ECC6.0 from 4.6C
Now while testing the report group i got short dump.
This is due to to the 'Exception condition "LOAD_PROBLEMS" raised.'
Error analysis
    A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLSLDB" raised the exception
    condition "LOAD_PROBLEMS".
    Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior
    program, processing was terminated.
    Short description of exception condition:
    For detailed documentation of the exception condition, use
    Transaction SE37 (Function Library). You can take the called
    function module from the display of active calls.
Function module 'SELOPTS_AND_PARAMS' in this that statement was there.
Can some one help me out. what i have to do further.

Actually what I analysed is what ever the exception raised due to this sy-subrc that exception i think the superior program is not receiving. I think due to this it is going for short dump.
