There's not a good app for this ON the BlackBerry... for obvoius reasons (spam).
    And free? Doubtful.
Personally, because of the obvious spam generated by software just as this, I hope it's all shut down, but that's my personal opinion.

Cannot get it downloaded to my iPhone 4 and cannoy access any App in iTunes that I have downloaded before. Supposed to transfer to my phone with sync but no transfer happens notwithstanding numerous syncs. Apps remains unclickable in iTunes and not accessable, please point me in the correct direction??

That is because they only work on iOS devices.
As for the other issue, connect the device, select it in the left hand pane.  In the right pane, select the Apps tab.  Is Sync Apps checked?  Is the specific App(s) checked?  Is Automatically sync new apps checked?
Any errors in iTunes or on the device when syncing?

  • PC Suite Bulk SMS

I am using PC Suite to load numbers to the phone and then send out SMS messages, however I am limited to loading 499 numbers at a time.  Does anyone know if this is a phone restriction or a PC Suite restriction?  the phone is an old 2100 model (I think).

Could be the phone or PC Suite. Not sure if such software was ever built for some of the demands that some of the users have reported over the years . For example, trying to sync 7000 messages, I mean surely no one has a use for keeping all of them! As Nokia PC Suite is such an older product, and is no longer being actively supported, there is nothing that can be done about this.

  • Several questions concerning sending bulk SMS texts on a 9300

Hi, I'm new here and have done the usual thing of checking previous topics using the search facility, but a few things don't seem to have been covered (or if they have the search facility didn't find them)
    1) Why does the 9300 only allow you to send an SMS text message to 100 contacts only? My old 9000 could send to everyone in a group (some of my groups contain 300+ contacts) I've now had to spend almost 2 days re-doing all my groups so that none contain more than a 100 contacts (for example Members A-H, Members I-O and Members P-Z)
Is there any way around this?
    2) How do I make the 9300 less like an iPhone and more like my old 9000? I hate the way that when you send a text to a group, if several people reply all the replies are grouped together. With the old 9000 each text from each individual was listed seperately, which actually made it easier to know who had replied.
    3) When sending a text to a group, with the 9000 I could see the whole list of recipients, with a red X next to those, who for one reason or another, hadn't received it. With the 9300 I get a red X next to the group name, but not against individuals, so I have no idea who did and who didn't et the message. How do I change the settings so that I do know?

  • Bulk SMS messaging desktop via phone contract

    Hi,
My small business sends thousands of messages per month to our database to find out their availability for work. At present we currently use an online software that we pay for. However, we have a work mobile phone on a monthly contract with unlimited text messages.
The list of people we need to contact changes per job so no list is ever the same. Is there a way for us to some how import our excel file, type a group message to everyone and then send using the messages on our price plan? It would be ideal if we could view it on the computer rather than on the phone for speed and ease...
    Does anyone have any ideas?!

The iPhone Messages app does not allow for group messaging to large groups of people. To my knowledge, it is 10 maximum. There are apps for the phone to create groups in the App store, but I believe they have to comply with the 10 maximum as well. This may have changed, but I'm not sure, since I don't use group messaging. If your lists are shorter than that, you could create groups, and you also have the option to connect the iPhone to a Mac computer to use Messaging from the phone, but I'm not sure if that changes the list rules or not.

  • Any ideas on getting facebook 'like' links working in SMS and MMS?  A few issues Apple might fix please?

    Hi,
I work in a Mobile Marketing company where clients use our bulk SMS / MMS messaging service in Australia.  A few things I've noticed where iPhones are falling short in comparison to the competition in RECEIVING messages (and I hope are fixed because I'm an apple fan) - a few inconsistencies:
    * Facebook links eg  "Like us at http://m.facebook.com/example"... Last night the link worked on my iphone when I sent it from our platform to my handset.  (4s Firmware 3.4.03, Version 6.1.3, Telstra)  It took me to the page on safari, and even earlier this morning it did - yet now it won't (and I haven't made any changes).  I have tried restarting, (soft and firm reboot) as well as ensuring I'm logged in - or out on another page.   The link does work on computer as well as on my collegues (4s 6.1.3, Firmware 3.4.03  Vodafone au 14.1) and it IS working there - but not sure for how long (considering it was working on mine earlier too)   FYI It also works on 9 differnt android versions of handsets in the office here too.
    * occasionally this happens with shortened links too (like a shortened google map link).  There seems to be no pattern to the issue.
    * When clients send MMS through our platform, the delivery on the iPhones is inconsistent.  eg, the client can send WMV / GIF / JPG with a Title, Header and Footer message.  The artrwork should fall in the middle of the header and footer.  However another inconsitency - sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't.  I can't see any pattern of it as the layout changes intermittently (from minute to minute).    This particular issue is limited to  iPhones on software 6 versions.
    * In a message, when the LAST WORD in SMS / MMS  is a 'link; - like web address or phone number to call, OCCASIONALLY it does not come up as a link (therefore recipient is unlikely to type it out to get to it).  Again, no pattern, just 'sometimes' does this happen.  Have tried putting a space after it, that doesn't work.  Only if another word is put after it will it always work.
    * Got feedback yesterday that NO LINKS in message (landlines, mobiles, web address) were working on iphone 5.  Not sure if this is a constant or another inconsistent link?
Anyway, I'd really like our clients to be able to use a "like us on facebook" link in their messaging with success... could Apple please look into solving these inconsistencies?
    Hoping you can help.

You are not addressing Apple here. We are users like yourself.
The only thing I could think of in regards to this issue since it has worked on some occassions and not others is what if you deleted cookies and history from Safari. Does that make it work again? While SMS/MMS are a carrier function, I also know that some texts from different phones to the iPhone can produce strange results if the other device is using some type of font that is not supported by the iPhone. If you search the forum, you might find something related to that if you search for "strange characters in SMS" or something similar.
When you produce these bulk SMS, do you write just the link, or do you write the HTML code in the SMS?

  • Can't Send SMS to Mutliple Recipents

Iam unable send text SMS to even two contacts at a time.
While sending its displays a message " Can't Send Message".  I have gone through many threads with this issue and checked all ( as below) but no solution yet.
    1. I have tried making the group text setting button On & Off, but no solution.
    2. I have talk to the network service provider also, where they are of opinion that it is someting related to phone only which they cant help. They informed that if by their available network & settings Iam able to send sms to single contacts then it should also be able to send sms to multiple contacts, as setting for both is same. No extra settings required for group sms. Also they confirmed that for sending SMS to one or more contacts, phone doesn't require any MMS settiings as sending text /sms dont use internet at all.
    3. I have also installed "Network Setup Appp" as read from many threads. But I could not underand why it is required when it has nothing to do with internet or  mms.
Now I require nokia to understand this problem & clarify what exactly need to be done.
Very disappointed that lumia cant do a simple thing like group/bulk sms which is available in even all simple phones.

    If you (want to) use MMS;
    1. Have MMS configured properly
    2. group text setting button ON
    3. Recepients must also be able to recive MMS
    Without MMS;
    1. group text setting button OFF
    2. add contacts one by one using the circled plus icon next to the TO list
    3. This will just send a sms to each contact separately.
This should work find as it does for most anyone I know. I doubt that there woudl be an issue with the phone here.. maybe try using another network/SIM and see if that works..

There is no any Oracle recommended solution????Why would Oracle recommend a solution? It is like saying that Oracle needs to recommend what keyboard manufacturer to use for keyboards used to enter data and commands for SQL-Developer and TOAD...
The "solution" depends entirely on the SMS interface(s) available for use.
One can manually create the SMS transmission infrastructure - by hooking up a mobile via USB to a server and sending SMS's via it.
One can use existing infrastructure from a cellular provider for sending bulk SMS's. This can be, for example, done via a web service of the provider.
We use a TCP network service ourselves - where our PL/SQL code (using the UTL_TCP interface) sends a special formatted messages (including a service tag, mobile numbers, message) to the service and this service delivers this as SMS's.
Some cellular provides used to support a SMTP interface - allowing you to send an e-mail to a specific address (sometimes with the mobile number as e-mail subject), where the e-mail body contains the SMS to send.
So there is no single recommended solution. There is wide variety of solutions. And it would be advisable to talk to cellular providers about the SMS bulk-send interface services they provide. These comes with discounts, SLAs, support, service reports and so on.

  • How Can I send SMS to a Mobile Phone within Oracle

How Can I send SMS to a Mobile Phone within Oracle

It depends on how you are planning to use this feature.
You can set up a mobile using special software in order to interface to it programatically - you can then, via this software interface, use this mobile to send SMS's.
Some service providers support an e-mail interface. Where you send the SMS as a the e-mail content and the mobile number as the recipient's address, or as the subject of the e-mail. However, many service providers have long since stopped providing this type of mail interface due to abuse. Remember that service providers are there to make money - not offer one a service via bulk SMS's can be send.
Some service providers have dial-up servers that works like the old style bulletin board systems (BBS's) of the 90's. You use a telnet like interface, dial into this BBS, and is prompted for mobile number, message to deliver, and even delivery confirmation. You can expect the cost of this phone call to this system, to also cover the cost of sending the SMS.
Some companies provide a software server to interface with one or more service providers - this allows you to fairly easily use this server gateway to send SMS's for you. Such a gateway server will typically support a telnet interface - allowing you to send SMS's via it from inside PL/SQL.
I've used all these options, and I've found the best one to be the last option. It is the easiest to use from a programming perspective. It comes with various management and reporting tools. So you need to do the very minimal in managing this whole SMS interface.

  • SMS? using SMSC Server

I don't know how to send SMS from web page to Mobile Phone!
What can i do to send SMS to mobile? a SMS Server, Jsp Programes, and ... ?
    Tell me something about UMS!
I have visit at simpleWireless, but i am looking for source code and sms server like that!
If anyone knows, pls send it to me or tell me the link to download it!
    Thanks in advance!

One way to send SMS from a webpage it to buy SMS's from a bulk SMS provider such as one of the following:
    http://www.clickatell.com/
    http://www.deltica.com/
Most of them seem to provide some kind of HTTP interface that you can use from a webpage.
However, someone has also written a tag library that should make the interface between yopur webpage and the SMS provider much easier (although I haven't tried it out yet!) - check out:

    Hope that helps,
