Bulletin Board - Message centre false alerts

The TOSHIBA Bulletin Board keeps alerting me to two Messages. However, when I "Open the Bulletin Board" and "Show All Messages" the messages disappear. The process repeats, sometimes daily.

In my opinion you could also try reinstalling Bulletin Board. Probably its malfunctioning or something else You can download the newest version of this tool on Toshiba website:

    From the Toshiba Bulletin Board I received two messages--one being notification of a BIOS update, 2.0.  I was able to install that update properly.  Knowing there were two messages regarding updates, I went back to retrieve the other one and it now shows I have zero messages.  Any way to recover the old message (which was for another download)?  Thank you.

    I see there is a 2.00 BIOS version for my L670-137 model (via my local support site). Do you know if this is the long anticipated permanent fix? Unfortunately, I can't find any release notes that state what was fixed.

  • Satellite L650-1PE - Error messages in Toshiba bulletin board

    I got error messages when i try to use Toshiba bulletin board, so firstly I got error 3 and then i press ok and i got error 23 which i don't know why? By the way, my laptop Satellite L650-1PE.
    Also I uninstalled it and reinstall the latest version again but I got the same error messages. Please anyone can help me about it.

    Error code 23 is not specific to a Toshiba Bulleting Board software.
    This error is generated by Windows OS and the reason for this could be:
    Windows Registry Damage or Corruption
    Device Driver Conflicts
    Hardware Malfunction
    Virus or Spyware Infection
    Software File Damage or Corruption
    So as you see, its really difficult to say what cause this
    You can uninstall this software, could clean the registry using CCleaner and then you could try to reinstall this software once again if the new installation does not help, then I would recommend checking new OS installation but I think its really annoying to reinstall the Toshiba image only to get this software working again but its your decision

    Can you tell me if Portals has message board/bulletin board capabilities out of the box?
    Specifically,
    I'm wondering if I can setup a collaboration room where members can post messages similar to what we do in this forum (same format).
    Is this possible?
    I'm running EP6.0, SP15, on Windows 2003, SQL.

    In addition to the bulletin board capabilities you can implement with XML forms and layout sets (as stated in the documentation posted by Vinoth), there is Discussion Groups functionality provided by SAP out of the box, if you're looking to have threads of messages (with replies, etc).  There is a Discussion Groups iView through which users can post messages, and a Discussion Groups Admin iView so that administrators can maintain the groups (if specific groups exist).
    That would probably be the closest out of the box option to the SDN forums.  (SDN uses a product called Jive for their forums.)  See the documentation <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/01/ed0f412d72f323e10000000a155106/frameset.htm">Configuration of Discussion Groups</a> to get discussion groups set up and configured.

  • Anyconnect 3.1 Captive Portal False Alert Stops Users Connecting.

    Hi All,
    I am having problems with a customer's ASA 5505 with Anyconnect 3.1 - it is generating captive portal false-alerts which are stopping users from connecting.
    This issue began when I upgraded from Anyconnect 2.4 to 3.1, and it appears like this: A user downloads and installs the Anyconnect client and is able to connect fine, to begin with. However, once they reboot their computer and try to reconnect, the VPN session will not come up and they receive the error message below.
    "The service provider in your current location is restricting access to the internet. You need to log on with the service provider before you can establish a VPN session. You can try this by visiting any website with your browser."
    Reading other posts, it seems this message appears when a captive portal is restricting internet access. It must be a false alert in this case as there is nothing of the sort here. Apparently, Anyconnect 3.1 can generate a false alert like so if the name of the firewall's SSL certificate doesn't match the CName listed on the Client Profile. I've set this up to match, to no avail.
    Although users can connect by reauthenticating through the SSL VPN login web page, I am stumped as to how to get rid of this captive portal error that pops up when they try to use the Anyconnect client.
    Any advice would be appreciated, just let me know what extra details to post if needed.

    False Captive Portal Detection
    AnyConnect can falsely assume it is in a captive portal in the following situations.
    •If AnyConnect attempts to contact an ASA with a certificate containing an incorrect server name (CN), then the AnyConnect client will think it is in a "captive portal" environment.
    To prevent this, make sure the ASA certificate is properly configured. The CN value in the certificate must match the name of the ASA server in the VPN client profile.
    •If there is another device on the network before the ASA, and that device responds to the client's attempt to contact an ASA by blocking HTTPS access to the ASA, then the AnyConnect client will think it is in a "captive portal" environment. This situation can occur when a user is on an internal network, and connects through a firewall to connect to the ASA.
    If you need to restrict access to the ASA from inside the corporation, configure your firewall such that HTTP and HTTPS traffic  to the ASA's address does not return an HTTP status. HTTP/HTTPS access to the ASA should either be allowed or completely  blocked (also known as black-holed) to ensure that HTTP/HTTPS requests sent

    It seems OK,But when I tested the 3-tier connection :
    It prompted: Could not connect to appliaction server HCMAPP.possible causes are:the server name/IP address and port for the application server alias are incorrect....

    But I can sign on the database using Application Designer,and app server already booted up.
    Additional ,the Tuxedo and Weblogic were installed within different directorys,does it matter?
    Do you need more configuration info?

  • Bulletin Board recommendation needed

    Greetings,
    I have a client (medical association) that has made an
    unusual request. They want to install a communication creature that
    is essentially a hybrid between a listserv and a bulletin board.
    We are currently running them on a CF8 server.
    They want to be able to have a linear archive of the
    messages, like a bulletin board does. But, when a message is posted
    to the bulletin board, it is sent out to their entire member email
    list (instead of just appearing on the bulletin board where few
    would visit regularly). When a member recieved a message from the
    posting that they want to respond to, then they'd be taken to the
    board post directly.
    Can anyone make a recommendations?

    Concur with bregent - why don't you go with canned solution?
    There's a number of forum scripts available. While not all of them
    are fool-proof secure, there's quite a number that will work for
    your client.
    Alternatively - you can use Google Groups or Ning (even
    better in your case, I think).

  • Bulletin Board feature

    I enjoyed the Bulletin Board on my Satellite L500 and used all the features; it's great, you can drag gadgets and personalize, I used the To Do list daily. I scheduled it to open on logon and it did. I removed the scheduled task when I found that it slowed the open. When I deleted the task, the Bulletin Board no longer opens. When I click on it to open it, it pins onto the task bar and there is a thumbnail on mouse over, but that's it. I can see my personalized BB in the preview, but it will not open. Here is what I've tried: All the troubleshooting features on Windows 7, including AutoPeek. I tried restoring to a point to before I scheduled the task 2 days prior. When I did that, the error said that my C drive is corrupted! I deleted the Bulletin Board application and installed it again from the Toshiba Application Installer. The install was successful, but the program still won't open and the thumbnail still shows my personalized BB, which is strange since I deleted that one. Any thoughts? +

    I have exactly the same problem: Iwas enjoying of my bulleting board and in a moment I lost the acces to the program and the message syas: code error:23. I made all the proceedments, as you and either function to me.
    But the extrange thing is tha I created a different account, only for testing, and in this one the bulletin board ins funtioning very well..... what's happenning????

  • Toshiba Bulletin Board warns about poor security

    Hi all.
    I've noticed this since I got my laptop (L500-1XL) that every few days a message comes up, then disappears but a red warning sign is left on the security section of the Bulletin Board, and if I hover the pointer over it, it says "poor".
    What does that mean?
    What am I supposed to do with that vague information?
    Anyone else have that problem?
    I have anti-virus installed, updated, running, is registered with Windows and Windows doesn't register a problem.
    I've a firewall running fine.
    I don't get it! What's poor?

    I think it has nothing to do with the notebook security.
    The Toshiba bulletin board provides a lot of information;
    Networks/Wlan, PC health monitor, security, PC diagnostic, Eco utility
    Maybe the notification means WLan signal strength ?:|

  • Bulletin Board boot  does not bring up services

    Hello,
    I am trying to create a new tuxedo server, i have built it successfully and have
    included the server name in the servers section of the Config File . The Config
    File was built to
    create the Tuxconfig file.It successfully created the binary file.
    Now i Boot my bulletin board and i get a message CMDTUX_CAT 819 Info .Process
    id nnnnn Assume Started(Pipe)
    I dont see this in my processes using tmadmin.
    Is there any step that i am missing..

    The process hasn't started correctly. Generally, "assume started" means
    that the server hasn't started!
    Has it core dumped? (Is there a core file in your appdir?)
    Does it need access to a shared library that isn't in your shared
    library path?
    If you run tmboot -i <your sserver's id> -g <your server's group> -d 1
    you will see the server's full command line. One wahy to debug it is to
    type that command line in and run the server from the shell prompt manually.

    included the server name in the servers section of the Config File . The Config
    File was built to
    create the Tuxconfig file.It successfully created the binary file.
    Now i Boot my bulletin board and i get a message CMDTUX_CAT 819 Info .Process
    id nnnnn Assume Started(Pipe)
    I dont see this in my processes using tmadmin.
    Is there any step that i am missing..

  • Automatic folder creation fails  ... trying to use the bulletin board tutor

    Hello,
    I would like to create a blog using KMC functionality. For this I found an sdn article on how to create an bulletin board an this tutorial has some functionality I need in the blog too.
    Unfortunately I have some problems when I want to have an folder created automatically. Here are the steps I am doing:
    Creating a folder in the km-content named  /documents/Blog
    In Content-Management > Repository Filters > Userhome Filter+ I created an filter:
    Name: Blog
    Priority:
    URLs: Postings
    Prefix: /documents
    Startpath: /Blog
    Then I created a folder for the km-navigation iview in the portal content. The path to the initial folder is:   /alias/documents/Blog/<user.id>/Postings
    But when I call the preview to see the newly created folder ... I get the error message that the object couldn't be found (translated it means something like):
    Object not found        /alias/documents/Blog/<user.id>/Postings
    Has someone an idea what the reason could be? Is it that the automatic creation of folders is only possible in special folders?Did someone faces the same or an similar problem and could help to solve it?
