Bundle runtime installer fail in mac os

I made dmg file, which contain air runtime for mac os, my air
application and .airinstall.cfg to include the relative
path.(./myapp.air)
When I double click the air runtime, it installs only air run
time. It doesn’t install my air application simultaneously
.So I have to manually install my application.
But it is working well for XP and some setting. But it
won’t work for Mac os.
pls help me. thanks in advance

We have received reports of this behaviour, but have been unable to reproduce. To by pass the online installer you can use the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page.

We plan to develop application for different platforms with Adobe Air and testing installing Air applications with bundled runtime installer on different platforms. It's ok with Windows and Mac OS, but we got troubles with "silent" installation on Ubuntu OS 9.10.
I tried to install Adobe Air application with bundled runtime, like in this document in part "Silent installation":

P.S. We tried do the same on Linux Mint 10. Everything's fine, application getting installed well.

I uninstalled adobe AIR and ran a file and registry cleaner to delete any left over files and installs.
Then installed the v.15 Adobe AIR beta as recommended.
The cleaners I used (ccleaner & jv16 power tools) did find some temporary install files and remnants of the Video Alchemy install.
Tried the install again and still no installation window displays.
I'm running Windows 7 on my PC and even changed the installation file compatibility to Windows XP service pack 2 to no avail.
Funny that it installed fine on my notebook with Adobe AIR latest version running Windows 7.
I'm watching task manager as I'm attempting the install and videoalchemy.exe has some cpu usage then drops to zero activity.
Then Adobe AIR application Installer starts up then cycles to zero cpu activity.
I'm stumped on this one :-(

Bundled Runtime Installer

The instructions for setting up the bundled runtime
installer, to install AIR and my application from a CD, seem
straightforward enough. Although, I'm having trouble getting the
installer to automatically install my application after the AIR
runtime is installed. I figure this has something to do with the
way I'm setting up the .airinstall.cfg file.
The documentation tells me to, "edit the .airinstall.cfg to
include the relative path to the AIR file to be installed." So, in
my .airinstall.cfg file all I have is the name of the air file
since everything is sitting on the CD itself. Am I missing
something?

If you're seeing the regular runtime install dialogs then I
think the installer isn't seeing your .cfg file at all. If it was,
you'd see the application install dialogs, or an error if the path
in the .cfg file was incorrect. Is the .cfg file in the same
directory as the installer .exe? Perhaps you could post your CD
layout.

Difficulties with bundled runtime installer

I'd like to install the air runtime as part of a larger
install process for an app. I only want to install AIR not the
application itself. I'm new to using the bundled runtime installer
- this is probably a simple issue.
After registering, I download the runtime dist docs from the
site and followed the instructions (rename the exe, , add a
.airinstall.cfg file, etc). However, upon executing the .exe with
the -silent param, the exe launches a message box "This application
requires Adobe AIR to function".
Given that the intent of this app is to install the AIR
runtime, it's pretty frustrating. What simple thing am I missing?
The name of the test app is "flex_air_client". The filesystem
looks like this:
.airinstall.cfg
Adobe AIR Application Installer.swf
Adobe AIR.dll
flex_air_client.exe
flex_air_client.air

We are programming air apps for customers. To test the bundled runtime installer we need to download it. Is it possible to get it without fillout the redistribution formular. Because we are no redistrubutor but our customer. Or doesn't it matter to write that we redistribute 0 copies?

Native application installer fails on Mac 10.5.8 every other time

Hello,
I have a native AIR 2.0 application with a native installer which I silently install as a part of a bigger package.
On Mac, I have a DMG which contains the native installer app and a shell script which copies the native installer app into a temporary folder, and then invokes it passing "-silent" option.
For some reasons the native installer fails every other time, i.e. if I install the app and then move it to trash and then try to re-install, the installer fails.
However if I try re-installing once again, installation succeeds. I can consistently reproduce this problem.
This seems to happen only on Mac OS 10.5.8. On 10.6.0 and above everything seems to work fine.
What can be the reason for such inconsistent behavior?
OS version is Mac OS 10.5.8, CPU: 2.8GHz Intel Core Duo

The only argument I pass into the installer command line is "-silent", i.e. the command line looks like
"/tmp/PixelNovel/Install Timeline.app/Contents/MacOS/Install Timeline" -silent
I've noticed that the installer fails only if it's called from a wrapper package. If I invoke the above command line directly from Terminal, the installer consistently succeeds.

Customized Acrobat 11 installer fails on Mac OS 10.8.2

We created a customized installer for Acrobat 11 using the Adobe Customization Wizard for Macintosh. The resulting .pkg installer installed successfully on three Macs (two on 10.8.2 and one on 10.7.5) but the installer fails on the fourth machine, which is running 10.8.2. It appears that Acrobat installs into the Applications folder, but when I try to run it, a prompt pops up to register with an Adobe ID. This shouldn't be happening, given the settings for the installer:
•Accept End User License Agreement
•Disable Registration
•Grant Offline Exception (we have a volume serial number)
The three machines that we ran the installer successfully on have had no problems...Acrobat launches without any request for registration.

Any suggestions what the problem could be or what the fix is? Running the standard installer is not an ideal solution, since we intend to push Acrobat 11 out to over 300 machines.

Installation Failed on Mac for version 11.7

I tried to upgrade to latest version... should have left well enough alone. Flash Player version 11.6 worked just fine. Now I've done a complete uninstall, tried all troubleshooting suggestions on Adobe site, did restarts after each attempt... all with the same results: "Installation failed" error after 7%-13% of installation. I've even tried to reinstall older version, but cannot unzip file to installable format. If I can locate 11.6 that is not archived, I'll just use that one. I've spent the last couple of hours with this and am totally frustrated. I am on a Mac OS X 10.6.8, 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 64 bit.... I need HELP!!!

Bug: ADF runtime installer fails in 9.0.5.2

Hi
Im trying to install ADF libraries to 10g Application Server using the ADF runtime installer of JDeveloper 9.0.5.2. Unfortunately the installer fails while trying to archive some of the old files. The error message is:
"Can't Archived O:\oracle\OraHome10g\BC4J\lib\adfm.jar to O:\oracle\OraHome10g\BC4JAR.9.0.4.13.79\\BC4J\lib\adfm.jar".
This is not surprising: Note the double slash at "...\\BC4J...".
Seems to be a bug.

Before launching ADF runtime installer you have to stop all OC4J instances and stop the service for enterprise manager.
In this way I correct that error.

Installation fails on Mac Mini (Late '06)

I have a Mac Mini (Late 2006, Macmini1,1, MA608LL/S) OS X with 10.6.8.
On installing OSX Server 10.6, all system reqmt's are met (2GB RAM, freshly formatted 80Gb disk),
but I got error message: "Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer."
The HD is correctly formatted:
Partition Map Scheme: GUID Partition Table
Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Any ideas?

It seems as if your hardware does meet the requirements. However you've neglected to mention what error message (exactly) you see when trying to upgrade.

EDIAS2 Runtime installation fails

1. I have reinstalled BizTalk on my dev machine
2. I removed the old databases
3. I started configuring different components including BAM and BAM configured correctly
4. However,
I received an error when
attempted to configure EDI/AS2 , and the following message has been found in the Logfile
Error found in the Logfile :
...DTS package BAM_DM_InterchangeStatusActivity already exists on server…
Microsoft says:
The EDI/AS2 BAM SSIS package names begin with BAM_DM_. You can manually rename the BAM_DM_ SSIS packages in
SQL Server Integration Services. For example, you can rename the BAM_DM_AS2InterchangeActivity SSIS package to BizTalkGroup_BAM_DM_AS2InterchangeActivity. Then configure the BizTalk EDI/AS2 Runtime feature.
QUESTION:
HOW and Where do I rename this package ??? (I dont remember installing SSIS
at the first time so I don't think it's in my system)
I cannot find any packages named BAM_DM in my system or in the SQL server.
And the Microsoft FIX program does not remove it either.
So what am I missing here ?

All SSIS packages can be found by connecting Integration Services using SQL Management Studio.
So run SQL Management Studio -> Connect-> Integration Services
Try connecting to "Integration Services" instead of the Database engine and look for the package you want to delete under Running Packages or Stored Packages.
From there you should be able to right click and delete.

Flash Player 9 Installation Fails on Mac OS X

My flash player won't work on my Intel based Mac OS X Tiger
anymore. I've tried to reinstall it several times, and nothing
works. What's the roundabout way of doing it? I am about to

Installation failed on Mac OS X.6.4

Has anyone been able to get the Illustrator CS5 HTML5 Pack working? I made several attempts to set it up on Mac running OS X.6.4. I moved the folders over as described. I launched Illustrator, but it crashes going through the start-up screen running through plug-ins and extensions.

I might have found the answer. I manually updated Illustrator to 15.0.1. It still didn't work.
However, I had been moving files around using Pathfinder.

When I used Pathfinder to view contents and move the new AdobeSVGExport.framework folder and tried to start Illlustrator it would crash. If I moved the folder using Finder, it worked!
So, don't use Pathfinder to move hidden files around. I ended up just using Finder to move all files just to be on the safe side, but I did troubleshoot the situation and narrowed it down to only the hidden files moved via Pathfinder that caused the problem. My tipoff was when Pathfinder required me to enter my admin username and password to proceed.

Installation failed in Mac air

I have downloaded mountain lion and try to install in my Macbook air (bought last year, with lion). But after several minute, it ends up with the warning that I need to shut down and reboot, after reboot, the same message! After trying several times, I am tied and try to use the the original U disk to recover to previous OS but it still shows the same warning....
I installed the 10.8 in my iMac which was bought in 2008 and succeed! Can anyone help? Thank!

I would try resetting the PRAM by restarting your computer while simultaneously holding down the Command-Option-P-R keys until the computer restarts a second time. That may solve it.
