Bundled software, acrobat x standard

I bought the Fujitsu Scansnap which had the adobe arobat X standard bundled with it. When I insert the CD, I'm not able to install Adobe Acrobat, I'm shown a list of the files included on the CD but cannot do anything with them. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5. Any ideas on how to install?

Fujitsu is a PC company. There may simply be no Mac drivers/ no Mac versions of OEM bundles. Check their support pages.

  • Acrobat 9 Standard bundled with scanner will not install

My serial number for the bundled Acrobat 9 Standard is interpreted by Adobe as an upgrade.  I cannot install without evidence of an earlier version- which, of course, I never had.
The scanner is a Fujitsu fi-6230 (great machine).
I just upgraded to Windows 7 and need to reinstall Acrobat. Would prefer to spare the expense of a full version- I was actually thinking of upgrading after installing 9 Standard.  But here I am stuck on zero.
Any words of wisdom will be appreciated.

You can try talking to Adobe Support by chat or phione to see if they can resolve anything of it.
Here is a link to a page with options to help make contact:

If the software came with an upgrade serial number then your only other hope is likely to be to contact the scanner folks to see what's up with that.

  • Can you upgrade Acrobat 9 Standard from a "bundle" license?

Can you upgrade Acrobat 9 Standard to Acrobat XI Standard if you have a "bundle" license?  The Acrobat 9 Standard CD envelope has a serial number that must be used to install the software.

    Hi cloudnavigator,
I am not sure what 'bundled' license means here but since you have the serial number with the CD envelope, it's a retail license you have bought.
You are eligible to purchase an upgrade to acrobat 11 Std./ Pro.

  • Acrobat XI Standard bundled with ScanSnap- Need Mac Installer

I recently purchased a Fujitsu ScanSnap that comes with a full version of Acrobat Standard XI and a valid serial number.  I need the Mac installer but can only find the Pro version in the downloads and the SN is not valid for that version.
    Fujitsu support sends me here.

Adobe Acrobat XI Standard is only released for Windows and is not available for Mac OS.
To use Adobe Acrobat on Mac OS, you'd indeed need to purchase/subscribe to Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
You might be eligible for upgrade pricing from your current bundled Windows Acrobat Standard license to Macintosh Acrobat Pro license.
Also there generally is an cross-grade option available (changing license from Windows to Mac OS) –  however, as your software was bundled with the Fujitsu ScanSnap purchase a different set of rules will likely apply, the license wouldn't be a standard retail license. I'd recommend contacting Adobe Sales support to confirm this.
This link http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobatpro/buying-guide.html should contain a phone number  (I see an Australian 1800 number as the page localises).
When you call them make sure you have ready:
Copy of the original purchase docket for the ScanSnap.
The Adobe Acrobat XI Standard serial number you were given with the product (Adobe will be able to tell from the serial number what type of license it is).
    Best of luck.
    Cari

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard on both of my computers.
Some time ago, one crashed my computer and I had to reinstall the operating system and all applications.
After I had installed once Acrobat 9 Sdt in the computer, I wanted to update the software version 9.0.0 update to the same level as it was before the crash and that the other computer has version named 9.5.5.
The system for update from version 9.0.0 does not work at all. "There are no updates" listed in the dialog.
Can you advise how I get my Adobo Acrobat 9 Standard (Version 9.0.0) could be updated to the same level as the computer had before the crash.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Software Link to Download

I bought a new computer.  The other one broke.  My new one doesn't have a disk drive.  I still have my Adobe Acrobat 9 standard software but can't install it without a link.  I have my key too.  I just need to download it from the website but it isn't available.  Help.

John is correct.  Jenmommy you can copy the installation files on a computer which does have an optical drive to a USB drive.  You can then install from the USB drive.  I would also recommend you store the installation files in a protected location in case you need them again in the future.

  • Where can I get a downloadable copy of Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard? I have my original serial (key) number, but I lost my actual software.

Where can I get a downloadable copy of Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard? I have my original serial (key) number, but I lost my actual software. I am trying to move my Adobe to a new laptop.

Actually, you are out of luck if you are looking for Acrobat Standard. I have run into a problem because the link is for Adobe 9.0 Pro and the serial no. for Std. won't work. I asked Adobe customer (chat) service for a downloadable of the Standard and they said they don't have one. Did you get the Std. version as part of the preinstalled software on your computer? If so, it would be on the recovery media of your old laptop but I don't know how you would retrieve it from there. I am in the exact same boat as you are. Let me know if you find out how to get the media for the Standard by responding on this thread. Thanks.

  • Disc says Acrobat X PRO but installed software says Acrobat X STANDARD

Install Disc says Acrobat X PRO but installed software (in Help)  says Acrobat X STANDARD. Why?  Thanks, Frank Meitz

    Gautham:
    1) yes, the new lenovo came installed but I uninstalled it and reinstalled from the disc that came with the computer.
    2) Win 7 on a 64 bit system
    3) yes I did use the serial number, however the system did not ask for activation as that option was grayed out under Help.
    Thanks

  • Have been using successfully Acrobat 8 Standard, version 8.3.1 for years.  Suddenly can not digitally sign anything because software can not find "existing digital ID file?

Have been using successfully Acrobat 8 Standard, version 8.3.1 for years.  Suddenly can not digitally sign anything because software can not find "existing digital ID file?

Are you still using Acrobat 8? If not read further.
All Acrobat versions prior to 11.0.07 had a security flaw that they allows signing with certificates that had "Extended Key Usage" (EKU) restricted to certain certificate uses and those did not include document signing. Most frequently those were certificates with "Client Auth" or "Server Auth" in EKU. Acrobat/Reader 11.0.07 fixed this problem, which also means that while previous versions accepted such certificates for signing 11.0.07 and later do not.

  • I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. To which version can I update my software ?

  • Adobe Acrobat X Standard download

Where can I find a download for Adobe Acrobat X standard?

If its a Dell machine you have bought and the software was bundled with it you can visit the site https://smartsource.dell.com and login.
Make sure you're running it from the Dell computer that had the license. It will install an IE activeX control to determine your system info, and then will take you to a downloads page where you can download all the software your computer was licensed for.
    Hope this helps.

  • Acrobat 8 Standard Install in MS 7 OS obliterates extension?

Had to change desktop boxes due to HD failure.  New Lenovo box worked fine, had backups.  Using Adobe-purchased software, tried to load Acrobat 8 Standard in new box Vista.  Installation shows popup box saying a DLL is missing (C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Adobe\Acrobat8.0\AcrobatXtras\AdobePDF\i386).  Unable to find it in Browse, selected Cancel and rest of install went OK (I thought).  After Installation, Desktop shows important icons with Adobe Logo.  Clicking on those shows the Acrobat screen ("unable to find file...etc") and won't load other programs such as AOL, MSPaint, LTSpice, etc, any program that begins with an .EXE file extension.  UNInstalling using Vista Control Panel returns the proper Logos.
Acrobat 8 Standard was purchased in late January 2008 and worked fine under XP Operating System.  There is no way (so far) that I can find HOW to rectify this problem with 7 Home Premium (bundled with new box).  It worked OK on wife's XP computer also.  Trying a Trial version of Acrobat X results in the same problem on this MS 7 OS...all .EXE file extensions get changed to .PDF with appropriate warning boxes from Acrobat.  I CAN use Acrobat X READER okay, no problems.  Please help on this.

    >tried to do it manually
So... you went to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ and selected your product and then downloaded the updater?
As far as I know, the updater is a standalone EXE file that you run
Added... looked, and they are MSP files, not EXE
But... I do not understand the "uninstall" message
