Bundles set to launch on User Login do not always launch

We use ZCM 10.3.1.0
Clients use Windows 7 64-bit
For some reason bundels set to launch at User login dont always lunch.
I did recently changed SSD drive on my computer to a newer faster one. Now it almost never open up applications at startup. Anyone know why? We have anround 100 computers with more or less this problem. Why dont budles alwas run at startup?
We use it to start our intranet homepage and some other hompages. We also launch Outlook.

Is it Possible to define specific timelines for specific users or user groups in EBS? (e.g. Mr X can only log in between 08 00 hrs and 16 00 hrs and session is automatically terminated with a grace period afterwards).

Hi Hussein, here is the exact req.
I need to allow a few specific users to work only during office hours like 8.00 to 6.00 etc . So i will create a form to capture these timing details in a custom table.
When the user logs into the application outside of his allowed timing ie after 6.00 i need to check for this user in my custom table which has the timing and if he is not allowed to work then should not allow him to login. I was thinking a trigger will help me solve this any suggestions from yourside.

External Users Login Does Not Persist in IE

We use ADFS 3.0 for our users to access Salesforce. Users accessing SF from outside our network have to log in each time they close their browser if they use IE. If they use Chrome, their login is persisted across browser instances.
I have set the TokenLifetime for the Relying Party Trust to 7 days using:
Set-ADFSRelyingPartyTrust -Targetname "ourdomain.my.salesforce.com" -TokenLifetime 10080
Also, we do have domain policy set that puts both the Salesforce and ADFS domains into the Intranet zone in IE.
I am at a loss for why Chrome honors the persisted token cookie while IE does not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Edited: Corrected the version of ADFS we are using, it is 3.0 not 2.0 as I originally listed.

ADFS cookie is a session cookie. This means that when you close your browser, the cookie is gone. It might be that Chrome is storing the credentials and using them when you access an ADFS integrated authentication but the ADFS cookie should be purged.

Filtering report data based on user login and Parameter fields

Hi,I am running a report that filters data based on the user login. To do this, I created a formula called @user that compares the login name (using the CurrentCEUserName field) and returns the user's name. If the user login is not a login specified in the if statements, it returns the parameter field "user_name":For example: if CurrentCEUserName = "loginname1" then "User's Name 1"else if CurrentCEUserName = "loginname2" then "User's Name 2" else if CurrentCEUserName = "loginname3" then "User's Name 3" else if CurrentCEUserName = "loginname4" then "User's Name 4".. .else {?user_name} In select expert, I have a condition which filters data based on the string returned from that formula:{Table.Name} = {@user} This works fine and when the users run the report they only their own data. However, they are still prompted to choose a parameter field regardless if of the value returned by the @user formula. Oddly enough, regardless of what parameter field they choose, they will still only see their own data (i.e. if John chooses "Bob" from the parameter list, he will still only see John's data.)If I remove the "else {?user_name}" line from the @user formula, then the users are not prompted anymore. However, if they are not a "valid" user - that is, if any of the if statements in the formula are not true for their login name - then they will see no data. What I want to do is make the report ONLY prompt the user to choose a parameter field if their login name is not "valid". That is, if the @user formula is able to return a string value for their login name, then they will jump right into the report without being prompted to choose a parameter - otherwise, the user will be prompted to choose a name from the parameter list. I thought my formula would allow this (hence the "else" clause), but it seems that if a parameter field is present in any formula, then the report automatically prompts the user to choose a parameter. Is what I am trying to accomplish possible in CR (I'm using CR v10.0) or is there a better way to do what I am trying to do?Thanks in advance.

WM not detecting user login

Hello,
I face a strange issue in a ZFD3.2/NW6 environment, on some specific PCs
(for the moment HP Vectra VL800, may be others) all policies that should
run at user login are not running, ie Printer Policy is listed but as
"Never executed" and if you run it manually it does it without problems,
other policies like Group Policies associated with the users are not
displayed at all. This affects all users on these PCs. Finally this happens
since the PCs are upgraded to the vesion 4.9 of the client (tested all the
patches without success), the only way to correct the issue is to downgrade
the client to version 4.83SP3. Other models of PCs do not have the problems.

Data Refresh at User Login

Is it possible to force a database refresh at user login? Currently database is updated each hour but I like to force a refresh at user login. Not sure if this is possible. Please advise if you know. Thank you.

It's hard to suggest an applicable forum for you, based on the information you've provided.
However, this forum supports setup of the .NET Framework itself, so you need to ask elsewhere. What type of application is involved (Windows desktop, web , Windows Store, etc.)? What DBMS are you using (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)?

Update user login field

Hi,
The user login is not modifiable from my infomation by the end users. How to make this field modifiable so that end user can modify this.

First, it is a bad idea to allow the user to update the user_login field. You could however make this modifiable by adding the field in user's self profile. But again it is a very bad idea.

Retrieving Last used User Login Name in OIM 11g R2

In my scenario, i want to retrieve the last used user login in OIM for user profile, to create next User Login based on last one retrieved ?
Is there any API method available in User Management to get this value or Any customized DB query that will help ?
Setup used is OIM 11g R2 PS1.

Still i have some doubts in my scenario. Actually i have to create new User Login in sequence based on last User Login of Last user created . This is no based on User ID. Also, whatever already existing users with user login are present , they will be uploaded in OIM for first time through trusted reconcilation.
After reconcilation is done, then hereafter while creating next user i have to update its user login attribute in sequence of latest user login used and check for its uniqueness.Suppose, in case while bulk data import in OIM for first time , the users are not in sequence of User Login attribute, then it will be difficult to get the latest user login. Is there any way to get last user created based on User Login and not on User Id ?

Somebody knows why ? or .. should I block the user only ? or force a deletion ?

SGD 4.3 authenticate with AD(Users login n get different set of application

First of all, happy new year and happy holiday to all of you from new SGD user :-).
We are planing to Demo SGD 4.3 to one of our customer by early next week.
So, what the customer would like to see with the demo:
1) From SunRay client, user1 launch Firefox browser and type the sgd web page.
- Enter username and password ( Username and password must authenticate with AD ).
- After successfully authenticate, user1 will get his webtop page.
- In the webtop page, user1 only have two(2) applications to launch. First application is MS Office Word and Second application is Full Virtual XP desktop( 192.168.5.205 ).
2) From SunRay client, user2 launch Firefox browser and type the sgd web page.
- Enter username and password ( Username and password must authenticate with AD ).
- After successfully authenticate, user2 will get his webtop page.
- In the webtop page, user2 only have two(2) applications to launch. First application is MS Office Excel and Second application is Full Virtual XP desktop( 192.168.5.206 ).
3) From SunRay client, user "manager" launch Firefox browser and type the sgd web page.
- Enter username and password ( Username and password must authenticate with AD ).
- After successfully authenticate, user "manager" will get his webtop page.

Note: The above mentioned users( user1, user2 and manager ) launch a different MS Office applications and different Virtual XP desktop servers.
Here are my SGD 4.3 demo setup:
- Install Solaris 10 06/06 OS for Sparc.
- Install latest patches.
- Create a local zone.
- Install SRSS 3.1 and patches in Global zone.
- Install SGD 4.3 in the local zone.
- My colleague install 2x MS Server 2003( AD and DNS server )
- My coleague install ESX( VM Server ) and created 3x Virtual XP Desktop( 192.168.5.205, 192.168.5.206 & 192.168.5.207 ).
In my SGD, Array Manager, i had successfully set "Enabling the Active Directory login authority" as mentioned in the SGD Administrator Guide. I also login successfully to SGD server using user1, user2 and manager( Created in AD server ). So, my SGD server successfully communicated with AD server.
When i test login user1 or user2 or manager to SGD server, they get same webtop with same applications. If i am not wrong, these behaviour is due to LDAP Profile under "o=Tarantella System Objects". If i put any application in LDAP Profile's Links tap, all the user whose authenticated with AD will be able to launch it.
The customer requirement is, all the users authenticate with AD and the users should launch different applications and different Virtual XP Desktop as i mentioned earlier.
Is it possible to perform the SGD demo as customer requirement ? If yes, can you guide and help me on how-to create different profile for each AD authenticated users.

Thanks for the response gakker, but I've double-checked the camera / iPhoto / Image Capture scenario, and I'm 100% positive it's got nothing to do with that.
Plugging in my iPhone has no effect on anything related to this.
The other thing I should have mentioned is that when iTunes on my Mac is NOT running, then nothing happens on my iPhone screen when I plug it in to my Mac. I only get the "Sync in progress" message when iTunes IS running.
It's interesting though that you say you also get this "Sync in progress" message, albeit only for a second or two though.
Can I just double-check something with you however... When you say:

do you mean the iTunes on your Mac? Because the problem I have is that the iPod-playback on my iPhone is interrupted.
So can you clarify that for me, please? If you have music playing on your iPhone, and you then plug your iPhone into your Mac when iTunes is running on your Mac, does the music playback on the iPhone get interrupted?

GRC Launch Pad gives "UME User Login Error! "

All the links for RAR/RE/AE/Firefighter works, but when I go to launchpad, it gives me error " UME User Login Error! ". below the screen. Does anybody know how to resolve this?

That same error will also hit you in RAR if you don't have the users language maintained.
Web Dynpro apps like LaunchPad and RAR or SPM rely on the UME information to determine the application language (also affects which language isk descriptions etc. are being shown in / can be maintained in).

Set user login before call WD application

Hello!
We calling WD application from SAP CRM B2B. Both applications requires authentification. Both applications works with users maintained thru SU01. But CRM can use user aliases and WD application can use ony logins which not so comfortable for users since logins has values too difficult to remember.
So we want to setup WD application in this way:
1) pass current user's login as special URL parameter
2) during load logon screen WD application read this parameter and automatically put this value into "user login" field and disable it
3) so user should only enter a password
So does WD application have such special URL parameter and is it possible to setup that value of this parameter will automatically put to "user login" field when application will be called?

I am not very clear with the requirement you want if you want to get the user id of portal to be passed into the wdcomponent that can happen the via of it is a ?????.
IN wd component by means of Handle default button of the Main window you can fetch the userid from the portal.In handle default method the portal userid can be captured by using by means of fm .

Anonymous User Login

Hi All,
I have an issue with 'Forgot Password' button in the end user login. When a Forgot Password button is clicked, a Question Login workflow will trigger (I think I am right?) .Now I would like to customize the 'Question Login' workflow as per my requirements, but unfortunately I am not, I modified the system configuration object, but still with no luck I am not able to customize that workflow.
So I thought of using anonymous login page and I can launch my own workflow as per my requirements. I have registered my workflow at 'anonymous end user tasks'. and I try to launch the anonymous login page using the url 'http://localhost:8080/idm/user/anonlogin.jsp'. I am getting the following errors.
An unrecoverable error has occurred processing the request. Contact your system administrator.
Syslog ID = LG-1111-024933.
Only the Reset Administrator may access this view.
I don't know, where I am doing wrong. For the first time I am trying to use anonymous login page.
Did anybody faced similar problems?
Can anybody please post some points, like what is the procedure to use a Anonymous login page?

Well, first, I visited Configure > User Interface, and enabled Anonymous Enrollment.
Next, I went to user/login.jsp, and saw "Request Account". I clicked on it, and up popped the user/anonEnrollment.jsp page. (I was looking at using this for one of our requirements; turned out I didn't need it, and did something else).
Anyway, a quick check with Live HTTP Headers for Firefox shows that the post was directly to anonEnrollment.jsp; anonEnrollment.jsp has this at the top:

}Not a huge amount of help. However, it does establish that there is an "getAnonymousUser" method, which is documented to return "the currently registered anonymous user name if any". And reading the Workflows, Forms, and Views manual, it states that the anonymous main page is for "... when a user who does not have a Identity Manager account logs in, an Identity Manager user object is created ...". Basically, if you're using pass through auth, and have a source system that will let a user authenticate, they can then set themselves up.
So, I visited "anonmain.jsp" after clearing all cookies, and up popped "anonlogin.jsp", with a login box. I entered "anonymous", and lo!, I was logged in, and saw the anonymous user menu. In other words, I was "provisionally" logged in with an account that doesn't really exist (anonymous).
However, I had to provide that extra bit of information, namely, my "fake" user name of "anonymous". I don't know how you'd do that without JSP customization.
Basically, "anonymous" means "has a username, but we don't have an account", rather than "truely anonymous" as near as I can tell. The system will do it for you in the case of "Request Account" (the generated login page has some Javascript code to redirect to anonEnrollment.jsp), but it doesn't seem to be an exposed API.
You might get somewhere with customizing the "Request Account" string in the messages catalogue, and then customizing the anonymous enrollment workflow.
