Bunring CD From Playlist-AND KEEPING TRACK NAMES on Disc
Every time i use itunes to burn a cd from the playlist (where the original audio is NOT in the itunes library but sourced from another folder) the cd writes without the orig file names showing up on the cd-r. instead it just reads each track numerically i.e. track 1, track 2 etc.....
How can i burn a cd-r from a playlist in itunes and have the orig track names show on the cd-r tracklisting? what am i missing here?

If you are selecting no gap between songs in the Burn options, there will not be a gap.
Note that if the song itself has a second or two of silence at the beginning/end, those will still be played as silence because they are part of the song.
The gap is between the designated time for the end of the song and the designated time for the beginning of the next song.
It's not the gap between the end of audio of one song and the beginning of audio on the next song.

When I first started using iTunes, I thought it was a great program. However, once my music collection outgrew the size of my iPod, I began to see it has many frustrating limits and annoyances. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me resolve the issues I'm having. If anyone from Apple reads this post, please pass this on to your software developers because I know there are tons of people having the same issues I am having (just do a Google search if you don't believe me).
1) My first method of managing my collection is to only put the files I want on my iPod in my library...this way I know exactly what's on my iPod. However, I found that in doing this, the ratings I created on my iPod were not reflected in my library on my computer. Is there any way around this? Also, I've noticed that if I remove a file from my library, I also lose its rating. I know that the rating can be stored into the id3 tag. Why is this not done??? Is there anyway around this?
2) My next method was to have iTunes automatically update my iPod from a playlist I created (the playlist had no meaning other than it was where I put all of the music I wanted on my iPod). But I soon noticed that iTunes wasn't smart enough to realize that there were duplicates (sometimes 5 copies of the same song). Which is what happens when you don't feel like taking the time to see if you've already added your favorite Alice in Chains album, so you just drag-and-drop it again. The library is smart enough to handle this (i.e., if you drag the same folder into the library twice it only adds it the first time and it ignores it the second)...why can't playlists do the same?
I would appreciate any feedback on my issues. Thanks in advance!!!
JoshDepends on Why duplicates are happening. If you are adding the same file again then iTunes will make another entry. If you have the same track in different formats it may show up again with same track name.

That would depend on whether your model actually has a hard drive. If you have the new 2013 Retina model, then you have a fixed storage device built-in that cannot be modified after purchase.

If you cannot complete the download on your device, you can finish the download in iTunes on your computer and then sync it to your device. For instructions, see the following articles:

If your purchase does not resume downloading after following the steps in this article, you can also try the following steps to troubleshoot the download issue.
Restart your computer or device.
Check for updates for your Mac or PC and install any software updates. Also, check for and install updates for any security software you may have (anti-virus, anti-malware, firewall, and so on).
If using Wi-Fi for Internet access, try using a different Wi-Fi network when downloading. If you are connecting to a home network, try restarting your Wi-Fi router. Also, check for and install any firmware updates for your Wi-Fi router. (Refer the manufacturer's website for your router to get information on updating its firmware).

Perhaps even forgetting your home network and rejoining it.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected. Then tap > and Forget this Network. Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network again.
Or resetting your network settings.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN and APN settings.

I am trying to download a movie from Itunes and keep getting the ERR (-50) saying check connection and there is nothing wrong with connnection. I have downloaded movies since and just can't download this movie (Safe House) downloaded. Help Please

Am I missing this function somewhere in the drop-down menu, when you right-click on a song from a playlist ?
I see only the "Delete" action, which only removes the song from the playlist, not from the library.
Same as pressing the Delete key on the keyboard.
Shouldn't there be both actions: "Delete From Playlist", and "Delete From Library" (the second one implies it is
also deleted from this playlist and from any other playlist).
And why is Shift-Delete not documented in the Help / Keyboard shortcuts ?If you are deleting from a playlist and you want to delete for the library as well, you have to press shift and delete.

If you want to delete songs from iTunes and keep them on the iPod you need to change the update option of your iPod to "manually manage music and videos". The content of iTunes and the iPod are not syncronised in this mode so the two can be different, you can get details here:

One major word of caution. If you delete songs or videos from your computer and have no back up other than the iPod you will risk losing them permanently if your iPod fails or you find you have to restore it to solve a problem. You should consider investing in an additional internal or external hard drive to store/back up your music. Alternatively at the very least back up anything you can't replace such as iTunes downloads to CD or DVD: How to back up your media in iTunes
Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device. In that case use Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray on your desktop or check this link: Safely Disconnect IPod -
Importing Images as Referenced and Keeping track of Imported Folders.
I'm not sure how to even go about describing this issue other than to relate it to the way Lightroom handles the same situation. I'm trying to figure out how to keep track of the specific folders of images I Import in to Aperture to make sure that all have been imported properly. In Lightroom, in the left panel, you see an exact replica of the folders/images as they appear on the drives thay were Imported from. You then have the option of creating your own specific Gallery of Images, something similar to Projects, that show up below the Imported folder tree.
In Aperture, there is no way to see the folder structure that the images came from that I know of. When importing thousands of images this can get very confusing and lead to missing groups of images. Images that nver get Imported. Does anyone know if we can set Aperture up in a similar fashion as Lightroom or does anyone know if a workaround that accomplishes a similar goal?Lightroom can show you the exact structure of the files on disk.
Aperture has an abstraction layer between the files on disk and the files it manages.
This is both a blessing and a curse, depending on what you want.
In Aperture when you import you can select "Leave images in their current location." That should work fine, and give you referenced images. I personally have never seen this fail, but in the event that it did, and for example 102 of 106 images were imported, I don't really know of an easy way to show via Aperture what didn't get imported. -
How to register and keep track on item packaging during transactions

I have items which I receive in inventory under different packaging. I want that when I receive or issue it from the warehouse, I keep track also on the packaging that the transaction is done.
E.g. Oil for vehicle engine:
Item parameters: "10x40"
Manufacturer: Elf
I receive:
100 liters, 100 pieces, package: 1 liter.
500 liter, 100 pieces, package: 5 liter.
I want to know that I have in total 600 liters of Oil 10x40 of manufacturer Elf and from the other hand I want to know how many pieces of 1 liter and how many of 5 liters I have.
Please help me to configure this in INV module.

are fine. But I still cannot find the deleted appointment on the server, or get enough info from the server, to find the right item to delete on the client. I can no longer access the ICalUid of the appointment on the server because first I have
to find the appointment in deleteditems or recoverabledeletions folder to get the ICalUid (or CleanGlobalObjectId). SyncFolderItems returns the subject but not startdate so I cannot search in deleted etc using that combo and I don't feel subject alone

Multi-recording midi: possible to turn off alias parts or keep track name?
I'm in the middle or a project and I'm using multi-recording (i.e. recording enabling multiple tracks) to quickly realize ideas (e.g. recording pizz bass & cello lines at the same time) and when I do it creates one "real copy" and an alias of all other recorded parts. Is it possible to either turn off alias parts so it records all "real" parts, or if thats not possible, to have the alias copies at least keep their track names? As it stands now, when I "turn alias into real copy" via key command the cello parts all have "bass" as their names, which gets confusing while using the event editor. Of course I can manually change their names, but I'm looking for time savers here! :=)
Thanks again everyone!well, though I havnt found a way to have all parts be "real" copies (demix doesnt work well for me) I'll use the work around combination of "turn alias into real copy" and "Track names to regions" functions. As key commands it works quick enough I guess.

IPhone deletes 400 songs from playlist and syncs that to iTunes
Hi there,
I'm new on these forums, although I've been using iTunes (on a Windows PC) for many years.
I got an iPhone 4s, set it up to use iCloud and iTunes Match.
Now I chose to play a playlist (via Bluetooth) of about 500 songs randomly in the iphone. The phone downloaded the music via WLAN and played about 30 songs from that list. So far, so good.
Next day I realized in iTunes that only these 30 songs remain on this particular list - and the other 450 or so were gone.
I did change the list in iTunes prior to realizing this: I added an album, so it's these 30 songs + the new album.
Since I haven't used an iPhone before, I'm a bit lost as to where the error lies. Have I done something wrong? Is iTunes Match not working correctly?
Searching the web brought up many issues with iTunes Match, but nothing for this case.
Of course, I can give more info, if you need it. So, is there anyone who has an explication for this? Thank you in advance!

ITunes 11 and keeping track of number of times a track is listened to
iTunes 11 does not keep track anymore of number of times a song is played. It keeps the number you had before but does not increase the number after it is played. Anybody else has the same problem?
For that you need to have a shift register or a feedback node and keep counting whenever the case structure case is executed the count will be increased by one see the attached snippet.
