Bup, dat, ifo, vob formats- how can I read these files?

Hi- I have a MBP running Leopard and have a DVD of my grandson in utero that I want to play on my computer but these formats are not recognized by iDVD. Any ideas of what I can do? I am stumped. Thanks, Judy

if you're simply looking to play the video try VLC.
On the other hand if you want to incorporate the video into an iDvd presentation; that may be more complicated since you may require the help of a third party app in order to first convert the files to a QT recognizable format. Apps that do this well include but are not limited to:
1. Visual Hub
2. Mpegstreamclip
3. Apple's QT Pro (which may also require additional QT playback components).
4. Dvdxdv

How can I read a file directly from a script please? I tried the insert into ... values but it does not work. I really have to read the file instead of entering the data via the interface. Does Oracle have a copy command? Each file line is split with tabs for each field in the line.
Finally how can I subdivide the strings in each field?

I have made a LabVIEW program where I have possibility to read a PDF document. When I made this LabVIEW program it was Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 that was installed on the PC. Lather when the Acrobat Reader was upgraded to version 6.0, there was an error when VI tries to launch the LabVIEW program. And Later again when we upgraded to Acrobat Reader 7.0.5 I must again do some changes and rebuild the EXE files again
It isn't so very big job to do the changes in one single LabVIEW program, but we have built a lot of LabVIEW programs so this take time to due changes every time vi update Acrobat Reader. (We have build EXE files.)
The job is to right click the ActiveX container and Click "Insert ActiveX Object", then I can brows the computer for the new version of acrobat Reader. After this I must rebuild all the "methods" in the Activex call to make the VI executable again.
Is there a way to build LabVIEW program so I don't have to do this job every time we update Acrobat Reader?
This LabVIEW program is written in LabVIEW 6.1, but I se the problem is the same in LabVIEW 8.2.

How can I read a file with ASCII Special Character into a SQL table using SSIS 2008?

We can use script component as source/transformation to read the text file and assign the contains to a string. Split the string by chr(30) i.e RS and finally stored into an array or write to the output buffer of the script component.

Books do nor exist except in the iPhoto database so you can not "find" a book vista TM. You restore a previous library (be sure NOT to overwrite your current library) and switch to it

How can you read datalog files in LabVIEW?

I have a VI that records time and waveform data and writes them as a cluster to a datalog file. I have been unable to read these files in any way, however. I have been working with the datalog examples in LabVIEW, but I have not been able to figure out how to use the Read Datalog File example effectively. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can either use this example to read waveforms, or how I can design a VI to read datalog files in another way? Thanks.

when you read from a datalog file you have to wire to the datalog type input of the Open File function a cluster of the same type as the clusters when you created the file; each cluster is a record.
In the example Write Datalog File Example.vi you see that each record consists of a cluster containing a string and 1D array of DBL; in the Read Datalog File Example.vi a cluster of exactly the same type is wired to the datalog type inputs.
You can use this example to read your datalog files but you must wire to the datalog type input a cluster containing the time data and a waveform data; pratically you have to tell how the data are saved in your file.
I hope I have been clear enough, eventually if you tell me how you save the time data (string, numeric) I
can modify the example to read your datalog files.

Did you have files uploaded to Acrobat.com that are no longer there? If so, please log out and clear the browser cache, and then log back in to https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. If the files still aren't there (and you didn't delete them), then try logging in using another supported browser (System requirements | Acrobat.com).

there is no direct method of updateing files in ajar file
u have to do it this way
u have to first unjar the file in a particular folder
using java code java.util.jar package
than through FileReader and FileWriter class u update ur
the file whichever u want to update
and then gain through java.util.jar package
u create ur jar file again

TS2776 i recently transferred my itunes file to a new pc. i am unable to play some songs i had imported to itunes and it says it cannot find the original folder. how can i play these files?

If you right mouse and select Get info it will show you the Apple ID used to purchase these songs.
Usually the name of an apple id is based on the email. So knowing that you may have forgotten the Apple ID password.

Buy a couple backup drives. Clone your drive(s) with Carbon Copy Cloner, gives you a bootable backup / can archive files as well. And to be redundant you want two backup sets. So have at least one TimeMachine backup running also.

But, the more you use your system the less likely to find any. And you do need a drive to recover to.
Time to go shopping for one or two disk drives at minimum. Say USB3 or something. Try Amazon for bare drives and cases. Try OWC for kits.

How can I put these files from my dropbox into MS Word?

After using migration assistant, I had 2 user accounts set up by accident. I finally figured out how to move/share files from the cloned user account to my new account. Anyway, I moved all my music and pictures into itunes and iphoto, but now, how & where do I drag and drop my pdf, excel, & word files into Microsoft Office? Similar to a PC, you can open Word, Excel, etc., and use the File/Open command to navigate to any folder, including that drop box, to open files. Also similar to a PC, you can store Microsoft Office files in any folder inside your Documents folder, so you can simply drag your Office files out of the drop box and into whatever project folders you have created within your Documents folder, and then open them in Office from there.
You can also open any of these documents in Word or Excel by dragging them to the appropriate application icon if they are visible, or if you have added Word, Excel, etc. application icons to the Dock you can drag the documents there too. That last part is much like on a PC where you drag a document from any folder to an application icon in the Windows Taskbar.
As you can see there is actually very little difference in how this works between a PC and a Mac.

You can download AcrobatReader fro Linux from adobe.com like the versions of rother OS'es.
however if you want a nicer UI than Acrobat consider using gv with ghostscript. They might already be installed on your system, since they are part of most Linux distributions.
It's worthwhile to upgrade Ghostscript to the most recent version, othervise you will be unable to read pdf files that utilizes the newest fads from Adobe.

Spc.fp and spc.h not found, How can I get these files

I get a project from my friend, I opened it and built it, then there was an error, spc.h file not found.
Then I double clicked on the file spc.fp , it told me that the spc.fp not found.
I have used everything to search them , but I got nothing
Does someone can help me to get these files?

.fp files are small libraries of functions ("Instruments") normally associated to specific devices (e.g. a scope, a DMM or something similar) or to specific softwares (CVI comes with a set of instruments like the Programmer Toolbox, the Password Control and so on).
spc.fp may relate to Statistical Process Control Toolkit for CVI, a product whose only references on NI site date back to 1998 and is not listed any more among toolkits for CVI.
Can you ask your friend if my hypothesis is correct?
I do not know of any other standard CVI instrument with that acronym: could this .fp be a library of functions your friend wrote by himself?
