BUPA Data Mapping from R/3 to CRM

Hi,
I have a requirement of mapping the authorization Group info of the Customer from R/3 to CRM BP. Even though the data is put into authorization group field in R/3 the data is saved in CRM. I could see the data in the incoming BDOC but it is not updated in BP.
Is there any EXIT or BADI which can be used to map the data of the incoming BDOC to BP.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Hi All,
First, can a IDOC be used for data exchange from R/3 to CRM
I need to update few fields of SAP CRM Sales order with fields from SAP R/3 Work Order.
To achive this can I use IDOC?
Or do I update the R/3 sales order from R/3 Work order(using some interface or workflow), so that the sales order data flows from R/3 SO to CRM SO.

IDocs can be processed by the CRM system via XML/XIF adaptor. As this will be most probably a new interface that is not yet set up, it would be easier to change the orders in R/3 via an appropiate FM which should automatically generate a delta download BDoc.
Even if they are not downloaded automatically a request download (defined via R3AR2 / 3 / 4) should take care of this.

Is CS6 capable of 'Data Mapping' from an excel based database?

I have CS6 and want to know if it is capable of data mapping from an excel based database.
Basically i am using inDesign to create new Organisational Charts for my company. i have 23 seperate documents created, all of which conatin; 1 image box and 2 text boxes per each employee in that particular department.
I want each document from inDesign to point at the database and pull in the correct details to each box within that document.
I am aware of the 'place' feature but all this does is allow to you to select a range of cells and dump that in the document randomly.
i have tried ringing adobe and they ponted me to here.
I am a man on the edge with this... someone please help. Even if its to say 'NO' inDesign does not support this feature.

You need to understand, though, that Adobe is a big corporation that budgets the time that developers can spend on new features, and most new things that are added are features that many users have asked for, and usually over the course of several versions (long document users are still waiting for improved footnotes, unchanged since they were introduced), so unless this is a "killer" new idea that will benefit thousands of users you are unlikely to see Adobe add it any time soon, if at all.

Data mapping from xRPM 4.0 to BI 7.0

Hi,
Is there a place where I can get the data mapping rules from xRPM 4.0 to BI 7.0.
help.sap.com doesn't seem to have the data mapping rules.
I checked the BI content for xRPM 3.30 which has some rules.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

As per my understand if u want to assign data source to any target(Mapping each field to each info object).
1.Some times when u create a tranformation u will not find a single rule.In this case u have to map manually
sol : 1. SE11 2.Give the table name : RSTRFIELDSH
3.Go to contents
4. In the transfer structure : give u r data source and excute it
4.U can able to see which fild is related which info object.

Variant Configuration Data download from R/3 to CRM

Hello all
It may be a very dumb question, but I would certainly appreciate an answer.
We are currently using SAP R/3 4.6c and heavily use VC for configurable products and also for pricing.
Now we wish to explore the possibility of using SAP CRM 5.0 to enable our sales force to use CRM PCUI to create quotes for configurable materials.
My questions are as following:-
1. Is it possible to download all VC related data into CRM from R/3 including pricing? I understand that for different VC object, I will have to use different CRM objects but is it possible? If the data transfer is possible, is it typically done by a middleware resource?
2. I would also like to confirm that by creating a run time version and Kbase is pre requisite to enable the download to CRM.
If you could please point me to the appropriate help on this topic, I would really appreciate it.

we have a situation in our company where we have been using a home grown product that not only lets you configure product bu it also takes the user through a selling experience for example it asks the user if he is interested in buying any accessories for the product and provides options through pop messages and the user can select. this way it takes leads the user through questionnaires that comes in pop ups to select a product
we have crm service and ecc implemented and now we need to implement this feature for the crm sales piece
the question is do we go for PME or variant config that is already set up in ECC ?
the link and middle ware set up between ECC and CRM is also available so we can bring the variant configuration from ECC into crm. but how about the questionnaires and the selling experience that is available through pop up questionnaires,
we can set up the selling experience via the Product modeler but as a company we need to make a decision whether we bring the varinat configuration from ecc and use the selling experience for the pop up questionnaires that leads customer
or should we just use sales packages that behaves similarly like varinat configuration and add enahcnements to create the pop- up questionaires
Could you direct /provide some guidance in this area?

If you are seeing last 3 fields coming as empty.... then you need to check the seperator type which correctly seperats one fields from another during mapping to BW infoobject.

Hello,
for migration into CRM I would suggest the 'XIF-Interfaces'; these are interfaces provided in CRM for connection to external systems. I'm not sure if this will cover all objects mentioned above, but at least some of them should exist.
Some information about existing interfaces can be found in the integration repository under http://ifr.sap.com/index.html; from the start screen first select 'Enter the repository' and then have a look under 'generic components' and 'SAP CRM'.

"Payment Methods" field mapping from R/3 to CRM

Hello Experts,
In R/3 BP we have a field " Payment Methods" the means of payment like DD, Cheque, Direct Cheque and E-Payment as a radio button field with these four options.Thats a mandatory field there. Here we need the same info to be downloaded to the CRM system and we couldnt find the same field in CRM BP.So how can I go with this?
If suppose the ABAP people create the field in CRM BP, how can i map it with R/3 field to get the same data?
What I need is the same payment method option should come and sit here in CRM BP master.

you activate encryption of the payment card number. In Customizing, choose Customer Relationship Management -> Basic Functions -> Payment Cards -> Maintain Payment Card Type.
You have assigned the payment plan type Payment card to the transaction types you use.
In Customizing, choose Customer Relationship Management -> Basic Functions -> Payment Cards -> Settings for Transactions -> Assign Payment Card Plan Type to Transaction.

Data Mapping from HPM to HSF

This is my problem.
we have an application in HPM version 9.3 and a replication of it in version 11.2. These days all work done in 9.3 application is being migrated to 11.2 application. But the problem in mapping the data to HSF. When I try to map the data from version 9.3's application it not importing any data but when I try to map the data on the same application (replication of the version 9.3) in version 11.2 it imports the data. But I need to import the old application data to HSF as well. why would it happen and what can be the solution.

could found out the problem! it was the user rights issue, when the proper rights are given it imports data

Data mapping from SAP to excel

I have executed one report which is giving one basic list. As per the maximum line size all the data are splitted in separate pages.Whenever we download it separate xcel sheet it is coming in the same manner i.e in splitted manner. I just want to know if it is possible to accumulate the splitted data from SAP into Xcel in a single horizantal style and if possible please explain how can we do that.

Temporary STOP data from R/3 to CRM

We have a number of transports waiting to go into production on our BW & CRM systems, but before I can transport these I need to temporary stop the data transfer from R/3 to CRM for about 15 minutes, does anyone know what would be the best way to do this?

Actually it is not suggestable but u can stop temporaryly through deactivating the delta download in R3AC4

IDOC Transfer from R/3 to CRM System

Hi,
I want to transfer HR Data from R/3 to CRM System.
Scenario1 : I have to transfer National insurance number ( Infotype 002) to CRM system where we have rename this field as NI number. I am transferring data through PFAL Transaction but this field is not getting transferred. I think IDOC Structure needs to be enhanced eitherways mapping will be required. Kindly help me out with ALE and IDOC structure.
Scenario2: I have to transfer Address Infotype 006 Subtype 02(Work Address) . How to Transfer this.
Scenario3: I have to transfer Pension Number to CRM. Sorry I dont know the infotype number for Pension number.
Kindly help me out with these scenarios. I have not worked much on ALE so I am facing this prolem. Do I have to use the standard transaction PFAL or Customised.

you can use PFAL to transfer HR master data.
the data transfer from r/3 to crm is by means of bdoc and not through idoc.

Data mapping to SAP B1 using SDK

is there any way around to do the data mapping from other system database to SAP B1
database without using field to field mapping?
ex: we want to migrate from other system to B1 we need to transfer their old data to a new one..and of course the database structure is not the same..and it would be a lot of task if we migrate their old PO to B1 (i'm thinking using field to field mapping so we must know the data structure from the old system and provide the information needed when we want migrate it to B1)
is there any thoughts?

Hi Erick,
I think, using DI API should be better.
I know that, all data in the database is not supported.
But, most simple idea is,
1. Get objects from old company database
2. review the data by SDK (validating and user field mapping)
3. add modified objects to new company database
This should be most same, and you can process many process automatically in process 2.

You can use the BADI 'CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI'. In this BADI, use the method 'CRM_DATAEXCH_R3D_MBDOC_FILL'. this is for data transfer from R/3 to CRM.
