Buring DVD-R after creating Video_TS file

I built a DVD in DVD Studio Pro and the log did not report any errors. I then tried to burn a 4.7 GB DVD-R with the VIDEO_TS file but soon into the burning process I keep gettig the same error code "result code=18771" and the message reads "Could not record the disc b/c there is a problem with source material." Does anyone know what this means and how I can correct this issue? My file size is 2.3 GB so it should fit on the 4.7 GB DVD-R. Any tips?

Your project is already built on your hard drive. It might be a good idea to delete the build and do it again, but you can also select to format the current build. Select format from DVDSP and as your source locate your Video_TS folder. And as your destination choose hard drive as the output device. This will create a single file with the extension .img. You then use Disc Utility to burn the DVD.
Here is some more info on how to burn DVD's with disc utiltiy.

    Hi Christoph,
From the article you mentioned, it needs add JPG file type to Search Service Application, which was not supported for SharePoint online.
I tried to add Picture content type to normal document library and tested the issue, it still displayed as item in Search results.
However, if I created a Picture Library and add Document content type to it, both image and document can be previewed in search result.

  • Does imovie create video_ts files?

I am tryng to get my movie out of iMovie and onto a DVD.  I know that Apple used to provide iDisk and iMovie communicated directly with it.  So, now that Apple has decided that DVDs are dead, how do we get from iMovie to a DVD?  I just purchased Dragon Burn to do the disk creation.  What I need is for iMovie to generate the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS files.  How is that done?
    thaks

    You need iDVD.
Why is there no iDVD on my new Mac? How do I get it and how do I install it?

  • Insufficient privileges after creating new files

I have a PowerBook G4 that I sometimes start-up off an external Firewire drive. The Internal HD is locked-down admin-wise as it's a company laptop but sometimes I need to run my own apps that aren't on the internal HD (i.e. Photo Rescue, Aperture, etc).
When I work on/create a jpeg image while running Photoshop (start-up and PS running off the external FWHD) I save the image onto the PowerBook internal HD inside the Shared Folder.
Later when I boot-up the laptop via the Internal HD I can open these jpeg files but cannot modify them due to Insufficient privileges. I have to make sure I run iRepair to set to privileges on that particular directory before I shutdown off the FW drive.
Is there some way I can default the Leopard Start-Up on the external FW drive so that when I save a file to the internal HD the privileges are wide open? It's a pain to remember to fix the directories with iRepair before I shutdown. I have run Repair Permissions via the FW drive but that hasn't helped anything.

Create a disk image in the Shared folder using rhe Disk Utility, select the mounted image in the Finder, choose to ignore permissions from the Get Info window under the File menu, and change the permissions on the image file so that all accounts can write to it. Save the JPEGs to the mounted image.

  • How can I create a file with the excel file type?

I work with forms 4.5 and I could create "TEXT_IO.FILE_TYPE", but with this I make a I/O TEXT file not a file with the characteristics from a excel file! Can somebody help me please?!?!?
    Best regards,
    Chris from Portugal

The extension file must be 'CSV' and not 'CVS'. It's better to separate your items by a ';'
The HOST command you have to execute after creating the file it's HOST(EXEL_PATH SPACE YOUR_FILE) OR Open the DOS PROMPT and type: Exel your_file_name.

          </action>
      </Menus>
    </Application>
    Thanks
    Gorge

    Hi,
Did you included the AddMenus.xml in the extra files when you generated the installer?
The AddMenus.xml file needs to be in the same folder as the addon exe. If there is no AddMenus.xml file there is no error raised, B1DE thinks there are no menus to add.
You have to include all extra files in the installer when you generate it.
    Hope it helps
    Trinidad.

  • Can MPEG folder be discarded after 'Build' has created Video_TS folder?

Hello, I am clearing things off my hard drive, and archiving. It appears that a video_TS file is self-sufficient file, and can be used at a later time to burn more DVDs. (I burn them in Toast.)
I am confused about the folder that is created when I import a Final Cut program into DVDSP-the MPEG-with PAR. I assume these are just compressed versions of the Final Cut program that become the video and audio assets to author the DVD. Once I do the 'Build' in DVDSP, can I dump the MPEG files? (I always make a high quality self-contained Quicktime movie in Final Cut of the program for archival reasons.)
    Thanks very much, Bob

Thanks Eric, One more question about these MPEG folders. I don't seem to have any control as to where they come up. The last one that got created, came up in my Final Cut Projects folder, right with the FC video that was imported. Then I also discovered an single MPEG folder that contained files for many different projects. Is there a way to designate an exact folder where the MPEG will go, before I click 'Import' in DVDSP?
    Thanks, Bob

  • I can not export photos onto DVD. After I click export, close iPhoto, click Finder, At this point I can't find the file to burn. (copy to be used on Windows) Sorry for the lame question....new to mac

I can not export photos onto DVD. After I click export, close iPhoto, click Finder, At this point I can't find the file to burn. (copy to be used on Windows) Sorry for the lame question....new to mac

So it sounds like you are trying to burn a DVD with photos on it so the photos can be either transferred to or displayed on a Windows PC, is that correct?
For the purposes of this I am going to assume you are using iPhoto '11.
Gather the photos you want to burn to DVD in one album in iPhoto. This is not absolutely necessary but it sure makes things easier for me.
Select that album, then go to the File menu and select Export...
In the dialog that shows up, select the File Export tab. Select the setting you want to use for export. Click the Export button.
Another dialog will show up. Set the location to Desktop and click the New Folder button. Name the folder something nice and descriptive and click the Create button.
Click the OK button. Quit iPhoto as the rest of this work will be done in the Finder.
You will now have a folder on your desktop with that nice descriptive name. Find it and select it. Go to the File menu and from it select Burn "Descriptive folder name" to Disc...
Insert a blank DVD when prompted.
Let the finder complete the work and eject the disc afterwards.
    That's it. Best of luck.

DVD's are only 640 x 480 (interlaced), so yes, the quality is not nearly as good.  You should probably create your .mov in DV format to best match the DVD format

  • My Dows iMac does not Boot up into the OS nor into the DVD after creating..

    Hi All,
I ended up in strange situation where iMac doesn't even Boot, neither from the HD nor from the DVD, I ended up with this problem after creating a Bootcamp partition on my iMac.
I tried all the possible troubleshooting methods given in the Apple trouble shooting guide. but no use.
the current state of my iMAC is when start it it simple displays the blank white screen and doesn't progress any further.
and when I reboot the machine and hold the C button, it displays a faint folder icon in the center.
please help me , if any one has encountered the same problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Narik

If you start up with the Option key, as far as I remember, there is no mouse icon. You may need to use the arrow keys to select a bootable disk.
OK, holding down the mouse button is the accepted (and correct) way to eject a disk at startup.
Try putting in the disk before startup. Then hold down the C key when you press the power button. It can take a time to read an install disk. However, if it is not reading the disk there may be more problems.
Have you tried a safe boot: Use the Shift key at start.
    Serious Stuff:
I know you are new to Macs, but as an alternative, try to startup and hold down the Command + S keys. This should put you into single user mode and it will all look like a black screen with white writing. When it stops you should see a $ sign -- this is the command line. As a first step, just type in the single word - reboot - and press the return key.
If that works we can try something else.
It may be, of course, that while creating your Boot Camp partition, you erased everything. Great care needs to be taken with these functions. That would not, however, prevent the disk from booting.

  • DVD Player plays DVDs but will not play VIDEO_TS files from my hard drive

When logged into my home account DVD Player plays DVDs but will not play VIDEO_TS files that are on my hard drive. I get an error message: "there was a problem opening the media. Media type is not supported." When logged in as "root" DVD player does play these same files. Also, when logged in to my home account, I can play these same files in VLC.

Go this this thread for more details:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1075814
But the gist of the fix is to delete or rename "~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist" and let the DVD Player build a new one. It seems that this is caused by a migrated PPC preference that borks DVD Player 5 on Intel Macs, which is what just happened to me. Hope this helps.

After creating a DVD with music, the pictures all come out fuzzy and not sharp.  I have tried all the options, and nothing works, they all come out fuzzy.   I have wasted about a dozen DVD's

What steps are you doing exactly?
