Buring to a CD

My song from iTunes (purchased or from my CDs) will not burn onto a CD. The blank CDs are fine and burn in windows media player and in other places.

Regarding this message:
I put a blank CD in then i pick a playlist and put
burn disk, then this error message pops up and says
initializing and stars to burn then it says canceling
disk burn and the CD comes out and a pop up says The
attempt to burn disk failed An unknown error occurred
(4000)
I am having the same problem except that my error is 4500 for which I can find absolutely no definition for. I purchased 10 songs and have no problem playing them from the itunes software but I want to burn them to a CD. The blank CD starts to burn and after the CD is rendered useless (since it is a CD-R), the burn is cancelled and an error message pops up (error 4500). I have ruined 5 of my 10 CD-R's. Besides wasting $10 for the songs that I had expected to be able to listen to anywhere that I had a player, now I've wasted nearly $10 on some very pricey blank CD-R's. I submitted a request for help to itunes on Saturday night and I have yet to receive a reply.

  • Buring a DVD now and then another one a week later. What is the fastest

Buring a DVD now and then another one a week later. What is the fastest way to burn the second copy? I thought maybe burn to image but that doesn't seem to make a DVD that plays when you put it into a DVD player. Is "Save as video_ts folder" the best way? When I go to do a regular burn it wants to encode everything each time unless I do all my copies right away. There is zero help in iDVD's help.

You can copy a disc image to a physical DVD with Apple's Disk Utility, but I prefer Toast.
Re Video_TS folders: This folder is the guts of a DVD, but the option is more advanced than I am. Toast can handle these folders, and lets you add DVD-ROM content subsequently (but you can add any files to the DVD-ROM area of a DVD from within iDVD). Toast is also able to compress large Video_TS folders to better fit on a DVD (so that could be useful). The Help function in Toast was the source for this info.

  • Code 3 Device Error buring Blu-Ray

    Hello,
I am having an issue with buring a Blu-Ray.  I am getting this error
Blu-ray Error: "device error"' Code: "3" nOTE: "cREATEsTCsEQUENCE: fAIL TO WRITE m2s FILE
Can someone help?  This problem has already cost me $10.

Test the workflow up to the point of actually burning a disk by a) building to an image and b) burning with an alternate software such as ImgBurn for PC or Toast for Mac.
I do not think there was a solution for users getting this problem in CS6.

  • Buring DVD-R after creating Video_TS file

I built a DVD in DVD Studio Pro and the log did not report any errors. I then tried to burn a 4.7 GB DVD-R with the VIDEO_TS file but soon into the burning process I keep gettig the same error code "result code=18771" and the message reads "Could not record the disc b/c there is a problem with source material." Does anyone know what this means and how I can correct this issue? My file size is 2.3 GB so it should fit on the 4.7 GB DVD-R. Any tips?

Your project is already built on your hard drive. It might be a good idea to delete the build and do it again, but you can also select to format the current build. Select format from DVDSP and as your source locate your Video_TS folder. And as your destination choose hard drive as the output device. This will create a single file with the extension .img. You then use Disc Utility to burn the DVD.
Here is some more info on how to burn DVD's with disc utiltiy.

  • Premiere Elements 12 -Only buring HD but really want standard DVD

My video project is made up of HD video footage; however, I need to burn to Standard DVD for distribution to a number of volunteers who are featured.
I have chosen DVD - Disc (both wide and standard) -- each time the video comes out in HD and will not play on standard DVD players or in the non-Blu Ray burner on my computers. I see no options in Premiere Elements 12 to override burning in HD.
I've never had the problem with previous videos using same software and computer. Although those were a different selection of blank DVDs.
Is there a solution or is it possible that I purchased blank Blu Ray DVDs instead of standard. There is no labeling left on my DVD stack of 100  (also nothing on individual discs) although the center ring is surrounded by a blue ring.
Is there any other way to tell if they are Blu Ray and not standard DVDs?
    Thanks,
    Bill

There appears to be a basic misunderstanding here of the burn to options in Premiere Elements 12 in particular.
Please allow me to explain, and please excuse anything that I will write that you already know....
The regular DVD player will playback DVD-VIDEO Standard (4:3) or (16:9). Assuming a NTSC setup, that is characterized by
    720 x 480 4:3 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second and 720 x 480 16:9 @ 29.97 interlaced frames per second. When these are
the choices that you want, you use
    Publish+Share
    Disc
    DVD
disc with Presets = NTSC_Dolby Digital (for the 4:3) and NTSC_Widescreen_Dolby DVD (16:9)
    You do not use
    Publish+Share
    Disc
AVCHD disc (which is a HD AVCHD format on a DVD disc....this will not playback on the regular DVD player....here you can expect
    resolution of 1920 x 1080)
The only possibility for you obtaining what you say relate to you selecting AVCHD instead of DVD. Is that a possibility?
There is no Blu-ray DVD disc or ACVHD DVD disc; there is Blu-ray disc format on a Blu-ray disc, AvCHD format on a DVD disc, each differing from DVD-VIDEO format on a DVD disc.
As for DVD discs, 4.7 GB/120 minutes; 8.5 GB/240 minutes.
As for Blu-ray discs, 25 GB or 50 GB.
If you have a HD 16:9 project and you want to take it to a DVD disc that will playback on the regular DVD player, then you use
    Publish+Share
    Disc
    DVD
disc with a preset specifically for NTSC_Widescreen_Dolby DVD which is 16:9.
    Please review and consider.
    Thank you.

  • Itunes cant see my iphone 4s and throws an error message (cant see cd buring registry) upon start up.

I have read all of the related threads.  I have fully uninstalled and reinstalled all of itunes program as detailed in trouble shooting.  I have confirmed that the program file for the apple mobile device driver is present.  When i open itunes manually i receive an error message that says "itunes cannot find cd burning registry whihc can be due to other cd burners being installed...please reinstall itunes".  I have reinstalled itunes as described above TWICE and receive the same error message and it doesnt see my iphone.  when i connect the phone to the usb, it shows up in devices and printers with an exclamation point saying the trouble shooting is required (windows message).  I am running windows 7 64 bit which is the version of itunes that i downloaded (twice).

"itunes cannot find cd burning registry whihc can be due to other cd burners being installed...please reinstall itunes".
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

  • How do I making a photo slideshow then subsequently buring to DVD?

I have just purchased PSE Premier 12 thinking I could make a photo slideshow then burn it to DVD. However it appears that I can only make a video/movie type presentation which results in terribel graphics (blurs what are actually very sharp photos) and will not allow me to specify the transition time between photos. Would appreciate some help here or have I got the wrong product? thanks.

Title Issue apparently in Quick Workspace
Let us assume that you have 4 photos that are already in the Quick Filmstrip scene spaces 1, 2, 3, and 4 and that you want a title page before photo 1 in scene space 1
    Text Menu/New Text/Default Text
Create your title in the Titler, note that the title is automatically placed in the text bar as a purple bar.
With the mouse cursor, left click and drag the purple bar down and to the left of the first photo in the first scene space of the Filmstrip. Drag the title there until you see a vertical green line to the left of the first photo in the first scene space of the Filmstrip.
Then release the mouse click to view your title page at the beginning of the Filmstrip line up.
Note I have demo'd this with version 11, same for version 12.
So that you will have a project adaptable to higher resolution end products at a future time, I am suggesting the following
Premiere Elements 12 Project Preset Set Manually
    File Menu/New/Project
    NTSC
    DSLR
    1080p
    DSLR 1080p30 @ 29.97
before you exit the new project dialog, please a check mark next to "Force Selected Project Setting on This Project".
Back in the Premiere Elements 12 workspace, Edit Menu/Preferences/General
Set Video Transition Duration 90 frames (equivalent to 3 seconds in your 30 fps system)
Set Still Image Duration 300 frames (equivalent to 10 seconds in your 30 fps system)
Then import your photos (1920 x 1080 16:9) into the project, using Add Media/Files and Folders
Since you are in the Quick workspace which does not have Project Assets (files go directly to Filmstrip), I suggest that you order your sized photo in a folder and then import the folder into the project with Add Media/Files and Folders.
As for transitions (all the same), select all the photos, go to Timeline Menu/Apply Default Transitions. The duration of each will be as per the preference setting beforehand. These transition duration can be adjusted by double clicking the transition at the Filmstrip level, and making the adjustment in Transition Adjustments dialog pop up.
Please review the details for the IrfanView and Microsoft Office Picture Manager for cropping/resizing. Explore and experiment on a mini test scale before the grand project.
    Looking forward to your results.
    Thanks.

  • IDVD freezes during buring

More that 50% of the time my iDVD freezes during the burning process ruining a blank DVD. Then in freezes out my computer. I have taken it to the Apple store and they run some diagnostics on it get it to work in the store and when I come home the problem starts up again.
    Help Please!

Could be that your burner is overheating or you don't have enough free disk space to burn a disk. You need at least 5GB to burn. If the burner is overheating, you might try resting the computer for 3-4 hours before attempting a burn. Or maybe running a DVD drive cleaner through it. Might be a simple maintenance issue with the burner or hard drive.
I suppose that you have tried the oft recommended closing down of iDVD and trashing the com.apple.iDVD file located in user/library/preferences, and repairng disk permissions through the disk utility app.
What media are you using? Verbatim or Maxell DVD-R are recommended.
Try burning from a disk image using the disk utility app, at a speed of 4x or lower.
I have no other suggestions beyond recreating the project and/or burning with different media at a slower speed.

  • Help dvd and cd not buring

    Hey
I am trying to burn a dvd as well as cds but after almost finished burning them an error response comes up that says an error occured and you cannot continue burning this cd/dvd
I don't know how to fix it can anyone suggest something???????
    Thank you

Arianna,What software are you using? Have you burnt a similar disk before? Are you using the same media? Have you upgraded any software recently? Are you trying to do any complex tasking at the same time?
Actually scrub that - given your other issues (other posts) you need to fix those first. I guess you're trying to back-up your data eh?
Sorry not much help at this time

  • DVD buring with a LaCie

I had bought a DVD burner for my wifes iBook which I have used off and on with it no problem.
    Its a LaCie FireWire DVD+- 16x4x12 4 x dvd+R double layer.
We have had a few updates on the OS and now we are at 10.4.8. and sometime before this it had stopped working.
    Today I tried again.
I updated the burning with the LaCieProfile_Mar2007.dmg and yet it continues not to burn. It gets to the point of wanting to burn and says "Burning disc failed because of commnication to the disc drive failed (Error code 0x80020022)
I can't make it work as I have fix permissions and have rebooted it, and it is recognized by the System Profiler and it says that is has Bur Support "Yes (Vendor Supported)
Any suggestions on what needs to be tweaked to make this work again?
    Thanks.

just doesn't work and no responses so I am closing this.......thanks anyway.

I unplug the 20gb drive from the slave position on the secondary channel and everything worked fine and then I moved the secondary channel drives to the primary and moved the primay to the secondary and it wouldn't work again so then I removed the 20gb drive again from the slave position on the primary channel and it worked fine.

  • How can i stop people from buring our music

We will be be setting up a studio. I need to be able to let people LISTEN to the music they and we recorded, but NOT be able to burn it.
how can I do this? Is there something like apples DRM that I can encode my own files so they can be taken off the computer.

Under Accounts -> Parental Controls, there is an option to disable disc burning on a per-account basis. Just ensure that the users can only access this type of account and it should work.

  • Can't find the MP3 Disc buring settings in iTunes 8.x

I've just been searching for the settings in iTunes in which to change the burning of a disc to MP3 and it's not where it used to be. Can someone please explain this? When I go to click Edit > Preferences, Advanced tab the burning tab isn't there. I understand the Import tab has been send to the General tab and Import Settings button. Can someone shed some light on this please?
    Thanks in advance
    Garth

Never mind, I found those burn settings at the time you click Burn Disc while in a playlist. This is an indication how often I burn blank CDs. I own an iPod!

  • Compiling Media invalid file path error when buring a DVD

    Hello,
I have updated to 3.0.2 Premiere Elements and the latest XP Home updates. I had 2.0 and it worked without any problems. I bought 3.0 and have had nothing but problems, I can capture, access files and put a video together but no matter if to file or to DVD I always get this error
    "Burn DVD Progress screen"
    "Compiling Media invalid file path"
then it all stops and nothing.
Any help or suggestions appreciated, I searched the web for this error and found nothing, when I search here I seem to get every Adobe product comes up but no premiere.
    Thank you

I started to do the FAQ to build a clean AVI file. I also re-installed the program, did an update to 3.0.2, defrag. Made sure I had 118gig space. All in order. Still I got the errors. Then I thought perhaps since this pointed to a path that somewhere a path was not correct. So I looked under Preferences - scratch disks - and found they all pointed to the D drive where I had some old Adobe files. It appears the 2.0 version worked when I had the files stored on another partition and 3.0 did not like this. So when I moved everything in Scratch Disk to the same folder on C: where I installed 3.0 things seemed to begin to work.
I tested it by burning to a file and then to an actual DVD and both worked well. I have a quad core chip.
Now the problem seems to be when I edit each end of a clip, "the IN and OUT" the in does not seem to be saved or rendered. When I get to the preview I can still see and hear date prior to the SET IN. I save, re-save and re-render and it still happens. However some clips it works fine.
Thanks again for pointing me in a direction so at least I can start to trouble shoot.

  • I think my computer is bured out

    How do I fix it

Use Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper! to put a bootable backup/clone of your internal HD onto a bootable, external FireWire HD.
