Burn a mp3 disk with acc files

I have a library full of ACC (mp4) files. In the old days I have chosen mp3 as my iTunes format but seduced by soundquality/filesize I converted all my CDs to ACC again.
Now...i recently bought a mp3 capable cd player for the car. In the old days I could just choose a playlist up to 700mb and burn it to a cd. Is there an easy way (automator, applescript, toast) to burn a ACC file playlist into a mp3 CD without manually converting acc->mp3 and then deleting duplicates after etc. etc......
I have Toast 7.
thank you in advance for tips.
pierre

iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > Importing > change "Import using" to mp3 encoder, and if required change the bitrate etc, in the "Setting" menu.
Now, in the main library window, select and ctrl-click on the track(s) you want to convert and you will see a "Covert selection to mp3" option.
The "Convert selection to ...." option will change depending on what format you have selected to import files as.
A warning though: AAC files converted to mp3s probably won't sound very nice!

  • Making a mp3 disk from uploaded files

    Hope someone can help me:
I uploaded 24 hours of instructional materials which is found as 24 separate files on my desk top. when I play them they play through real player. I want to burn all 24 hours onto a cd. I suppose it has to be mp3 format due to the time length, but what do i do and how do i do it? Thanks.

You can just burn the mp3 files as they are to a CD in no particularly special way, however i'd suggest using the CD format with toast or something rather than finder, as i doubt many CD players will recognize HFS type file systems.
An easier way is to use iTunes though:
In the iTunes preferences under advanced>burning change the Disc Format to MP3 CD.
Then create a playlist and add the tracks and burn them like you would normally.

  • How to burn blu ray disc with H264 files and ac3 files?

    Hello,
I have tried many times to burn a bluray disc with FCP and compressor and they always end up not successful. After spending days on testing different settings, I finally managed to only get it to work if I tried
    1) outputting to Hard drive as opposed to burn to bluray
    2) Turning the default bit rate down from 35Mbits to between 15-19Mbits.
Then I used either disk utility or toast to burn the disc image onto the Bluray disc.
I have however on a recent job forgotten to switch the setting on compressor to output to harddisk and instead set it to burn to Blu-ray. Big mistake. Again I end up with a h264 file and an ac3 file, and nothing I can do with them after 24 hours of rendering. Oddly, the compressor says "successful" but nothing is created but that 2 files.
My question is (before I restart the whole 24hr rendering process again) - is there anyone who can help me use the .264 file and the ac3 file and create the blu-ray disc with the menus again without having to re-render all over again? I have not been able to find anyone to provide me with a solution or find any where online that helps with that.
    Desperately ...
    Yee-wei

    Hello,
Sorry but the instructions in the manual (online and offline) do not answer my question. Yes I do have a bluray burner, it is a matsushita BD-MLT SW-5584. I wrote in my post that when I set it to output to HardDrive, it will create a dmg file nicely for me to burn using disk utility or toast.
But when set it to burn to Bluray disc, nothing gets done. I just want to find out, with the h264 file and the ac3 file that gets created in the process of creating the dmg file, can I still burn the disc or create a dmg file from them without having to re-render the whole thing again.
Maybe you never tried burning a Blu-ray disc with FCP or compressor before. Let me explain how it works. When you submit the project to process, it will create 2 files - 1 ac3 audio file and a .264 file. After that 2 files are rendered (which takes 24hrs for my 2hr 30min HD clip), it will use that 2 files to create your Bluray disc or your dmg file. Problem occurs when it doesn't burn the disc and you are left with just the 2 files that cannot be used to burn the project again. My question is : is there anyone who knows how to set the compressor to see that the 2 files are already created and just continue to create a dmg file?
Hope my question is clearer now.

  • How to play disk with .IFO file on it

I was given a CD with one file on it, an .IFO file.
It's supposed to have video of my niece's children's theatre play on it but I'm not sure what application to use to play this.
It could be that my niece's parents were well-meaning and didn't send the proper format or media.
    Any help out there?

An .ifo file is an information file for a DVD. It stores information such as the chapters, subtitles, and audio tracks. It's not directly playable.
Are you sure that's the only file on the disc? Perhaps your view settings are putting some of the files outside of the viewable portion of the window - icon view sometimes does this.
If you Get Info on the disc (Command-I or in the Finder, File->Get Info), how much space is used on the disc?

  • Burning blu-ray disks with Archgon

I have a HD camcorder and create home movies of my daugher with FCP X. I have an iMac (late 2012 model I think).  I recently purchased the Sea Tech Archgon blu-ray writer super drive with the intent of buring blu-ray disks for the grandparents.  The instruction manual for the blu-ray player states "Please purchase and download appropriate blu-ray playback software for Mac OS".  My questions are:
    1) When I plug in the drive, no icon appears on the desktop.  There is power to the unit because it allows me to open and put a disk in.
    2) Do I need to purchase Mac Blu-Ray player just for the iMac to see the drive before I can burn any blu-ray disks?
    3) I don't intend to use the drive to watch any blu-ray movies.  This is strictly for making blu-ray disks that can be popped into a regular blu-ray player so the grandparents and other relatives can enjoy the home movies.
    4) Is FCP X an appropriate software, which I already have on my computer?  It allows me to create DVD directly from FCP X, but when I tried to do it from FCP X, this drive does not come up as an option.
    5) I also have Titanium Toast and purchased the blu-ray upgrade.  Then I save the file from FCP as a master on the computer and attempted to burn the blu-ray using Toast.  Again, this drive does not come up as an option.

    1. Any external burner will only become recognized once you insert media. If you plug it into the Mac and launch Toast, it should show at the bottom of the Toast window. You can choose it and control the drive with Toast - open tray, close tray, insert DVD, etc.
    2. No.
    4. Not sure re. blu-ray, but try to export it as a .mov or Video_TS folder, then drag either into the Toast window. That is how I proceed using iMovie and/or iDVD. (I only use FCE for special effects/layered intros, etc., export at best quality settings, then use those with iMovie and/or iDVD). You do need software (Toast is best because of the blu-ray plugin) to burn to DVD.
    5. Again, the drive should show up at the bottom - see screenshot (mine is only showing my internal Superdrive; once I attach my external burner, both will show up):

  • Burning a MP3 CD with styles categorized and sorted into folders...

Hi there, my name is joey mason.
    I am a Professional DJ.
My problem is that i like to sort my my onw gnres out and on a CD to burn folders to differentiate my styles on the CD.
Eg. CD has one folder breakbeat, one house, one techno ect.
Problem is in I-tunes i have to sort genres out in their associated columb, then make a playlist for that associated genre, but...
I-tunes wont let me burn multiple playlists to an MP3 CD.
It only lets you burn one playlist at t a time to a MP3 CD.
Is there a way i can burn multiple playlists to a MP3 CD?
I want this multiple folder and or Playlists MP3 CD so i can DJ with it on Pioneer CDJ's and have different styles avail to me...
Please reply with a solution to [email protected],
    Thank You Joey Mason

I selected all the songs in 1 playlist and hit get info and then I changed the album to Matthew. Should I do the same for the rest of the NT books?
    Yes.
All the files for Matthew should now be under the album Matthew.
An easier way to manage it all would be to convert all files for one book into one large file.
Rather than having 27 files for Matthew, you would have a single file with album name Matthew.
    See this -> Join Together
"Join Together automates the process of joining the files of selected iTunes tracks together with QuickTime and exporting them as a single AAC Music or Audiobook file/track. Optionally, you can then create a "chapterized" audio file of the exported AAC file with pointers to the individually joined tracks."

  • Burning photo to disk with PSE 4.0 on Mac. How is it done???

I am trying to burn a photo to cd/disk using Photoshop Elements 4.0.1 using a Macintosh computer. I can't find "organizer" in the program, I think you can do it from there?? Nowhere does it say burn to disk. I'm new to this and would appreciate any help, thanks.

There is no organizer in the mac version of PSE. You could try using bridge (offhand I can't remember if there's a burn command in that version of bridge), but you can also just stick a disc in the drive, drag your photos to it in a finder window sidebar or just on the desktop, then go to File>Burn disc in the finder.

  • How do i burn a playable dvd with these files?

.vob .bup and .ifo files. which program should i use??
    thanks.

It appears that you already have your DVD in the needed format.
You could put a burnable folder on your desktop, add two folders: VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS and place all your files in the VIDEO_TS folder.
Please note that you will need both folders (even though AUDIO_TS stays empty), and the folder names have to be all caps and include the underscore.
You will then be able to open that burnable folder, insert your blank DVD and click Burn.

  • Exchange 2007 - Corrupted disk with lof files

    I have
Exchange 2007, where the logs are stored on the fiber chanel storage. The storage
has been damaged and I don't have access to the logs. When I
try to mount database I get the message ""unable to mount database. (hr=0x80004005,ec=-1023)". How to mount
Exchange storage seting logs to difrent location?

    Hi ,
I agree with Gulab Prasad .
First of all Just run the below mentioned command for the affected database to check the database is in clean shutdown or else in a dirty shutdown state.
eseutil /mh "path of the edb file "
If it is in a clean shutdown then you can mount the database .Before that we need to change the storage log file location to different path by using the below mentioned
command then only new log files will get generated on the new location after the database is mounted.
    Move-StorageGroupPath -Identity "MyStorageGroup" -LogFolderPath "D:\MyNewLogFolder"
In case if it in the dirty shutdown state then definitely there would be some logs required to mount the database .In case if you have those logs then you can do an
soft recovery to get back the database to the clean shutdown state and then mount the database.
In case if you don't have those logs , then as gulab prasad said we do have two options
    1.Hard repair
eseutil /p "path of the affected database"
On the above process there would be some possibilities for the data loss.
2.Second option would be restore the database file and its respective log files from last successful backup.
As an additional info to avoid the downtime you can have the dial tone database .Then by using the RSG
in exchange 2007 we cannot restore the mailboxes data's to the original mailboxes.

I reinstalled I-Tunes several weeks ago.  I can no longer burn MP3 Disk with Song/Artist info onto disc.  It comes up as No Artist/No Title on car CD unit.  Old MP3 Disk previously recorded still show all info.  Sometimes only every 3rd song is on the MP3 CD.  On Audio Disc there is no change and all info still shows up.  The new I-Tunes version has the "cloud" on it if that could make a difference.  In the select Burn CD mode I can select testing and add song info for Audio Disk but it shows shadowed out for MP3/Data.  I added and removed ID tagging from my list to see if that made a difference but it didn't.
    Any Thoughts?
    Jim

This may help.  Audio files are actaully in the DATA folder.  These can be editted with Soundbooth then they must be imported intot the specific slide in the Powerpoint presentation.  Publish the presentation (as you'll read below) and *should* work This reply came from robva65 [email protected]
Let's try this: *Publish* the PPT deck you have.  What you'll end up with is a set of files and folders, but I want you to look for the *data folder* that's created as a result of the publishing process. (Unless you specify where you're publishing to, Presenter will publish to a directory called "My Adobe Presentations" by default, so you may have to look there on your harddrive)  Inside the data folder will be a list of mp3 files, which, if everything goes smoothly, should make it much, much easier to see which audio is used by a specific slide.
Here's what I mean: for example, after publishing, I have a data folder and inside I found the following file: a24x9x3.mp3  As I double click the mp3 file (which causes it to play using Windows Media on my laptop), I can hear that it corresponds to my slide 9 in my PPT deck.  And there's corresponding mp3 files for each and every slide I have in my deck.  I'm clicking another file (wouldn't it be nice to see what I'm doing???) a24x20x3.mp3, and that file corresponds to my slide 20 content in PowerPoint.
So again, give publishing in PowerPoint a shot and see if that makes it any easier.  Well...not nearly as easy as recording in Audition/Soundbooth/Audacity, but it's close enough to hopefully dig you out of that hole you're in now.
    Hope this helps ~rich

  • ITunes WILL burn mp3 disks but NOT audio format disk - HELP!!

It's 1am and I've just pulled out the last of my hair.... Been trying to fix this for the last 4 hours. Here's the background.....Started out innocently enough, tried to burn a cd for my wife of a play list I'd created. Kept getting an Error 4450 message. Found what appeared to be the answer here, turned off the option to include text info on the cd. When I tried it again, I no longer got the error message, in fact, it seemed to be going through the burn process. However, after it said it was writing the last song on the list, a new window popped up from XP, indicating a blank disk in the drive. iTunes acts like its done. Nothing else happens. The CD in the drive is still blank. Now, if I change the burn settings to burn an mp3 disk (as opposed to audio), everything works.
I've tried everything I can think of. I did have Roxio v. 10 I think, but uninstalled it thinking that was causing a problem. No change. Can anyone help??
    Thanks!

  • Burn MP3 disc with just tracks and no folders

    You Guys Rock!!!
I would like to know how to burn an MP3 disc with just tracks and no folders. Right now, all songs show up as foler 1 song 1,2,3 --- then it will go folder 2 track 1,2,3,4 etc. I want to get it to simply read track 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 etc. all the way through the disc.
I typically get 80 songs on a standard CD-R disc. There may be 30 folders all with 2 or 3 songs within them. It is very confusing to scan through to the track I want to hear next.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!
