"Burn CD" no more working ... neither Toast 8
After installing Snow Leopard, my DVD/CD drive doesn't burn any CDs anymore. It just keeps asking for a writeable disc. Using Toast 8 causes the same problem. What can I do?

The thing is that the inbuilt OS X "Burn CD" command doesn't work anymore, too!?
I deleted Toast 8 and its preferences in another thread, see the following quote:

I downloaded ios 7 today 09.19.2013 on my iphone 4 and ipad retina 3hrd generation 64g . The switch from photo to video on the camera app does not work neither on iphone nor on ipad. Is it a "youth"bug ?

How do i use my imac 21.5" 2011 as a display for my macbook pro late 2011, through thunderbolt cable ? I have tried and it doesnt seem to work, neither does target disk mode.
Could it be a borked cable ? I just bought it new from the store today, i have updated both imac and macbook pro to latest thunderbolt firmware and updates. Both 10.7.3.

I was able to find these instructions, however they referr to 2009-2011 27" iMacs. I think it's the same, if it's not then contact Apple directly for instructions. If either of the machines is less than 90 days old or covered by AppleCare then call AppleCare tomorrow for help, they should be able to easily answer this for you. You will find the number in your manual or you can use the AppleCare Contact Info link.
Your iMac should automatically recognize the presence of a digital video signal at the Mini DisplayPort and enter Target Display Mode.
If your iMac does not automatically enter Target Display Mode, press command + F2 to manually enter Target Display Mode. -
Bluetooth no more working with latest OVI suite
Since I install latest OVI suite it seems my bluetooth stop working correctly and I cannot sync.
however the radio seels OK, since I can pair.
I've tried to unpai, repair, to clean.
sometimes it works but afer the first disconnection, it no more works.
my PC is XP family with Bluesoleil 2 (and CSR chip)
I could not test on my work PC with widdcomm since OVI crash at startup.
should I step back to PC suite, until OVI works, or will it be worse?

WIDDCOMM drivers.
it was not working well with 4.x version of WIDDCOMM, unable to synchronize with OVI(however could backup!)
I have installed the latest 5.x WIDDCOMM of kensington and is does not work either, with the same symptoms as Bluesoleil 2.x, and WIDDCOMM4.x : it seems to work but synchronize is slow and break in the middle.
works well with microsoft generic driver and my cambridge silicon radio key.
note that is was working well with the 2 keys, and their Bluesolei and widdcomm drivers since years.

I worked with files in LR that were originally on my C drive, then were moved to an external HD for storage. I now want to do some more work on those files (which have the same file name as on the C drive). I plugged the drive into my computer and it shows in LR under folders as the F drive and the little green light is on, but LR is showing only the first 6 files and not the remaining 200 or so. How do I expand the F folder to expose all files?

my iphone 6 plus after updating to IOS 8.2 seems to have a problem with the touch id witch doesn't work neither in home unlock nor in app store and when i'm trying to add a new fingerprint it says ''failed unable to complete touch id setup.Please go back and try again'' . Anyone know of a way to adjust the top and side MARGINS of a document printed from iOS numbers? The default margins are too wide. Need more working space.
Open the document,
Tap the Tools icon (upper right).
Tap Document Set up.
Drag the margins to the position you wish (the actual margin width sould display as you are doing this). -

Yes, Tux On Ice (kernel-netbook 3.2.5) is no more working since 3-4 days, and i can't understand why.
I have not upgraded that kernel in these days, so kernel-netbook is the same version since maintainer upgraded it, and it was working until yesterday, may be (i can't be sure because only yesterday i've tried hibernating since a week).
I have no testing repo, so packages i upgraded during these days (i upgraded once a day my system) can be found in our packages site on archlinux.org.
Pratically, when i click hibernation, system copies everything in the swap partition, but then, while rebooting, it gives me lots of kernel messages, that i can't report, because they're not in /var/log, but i saved one that could be very important, i thought: "BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at (null)"

thank you, but I tried all points / links since yesterday several times , i can deinstall 5 from 6 apple softwares, i can not deinstall Apple Software Update due an issue with an MSN Software package and i have to contact the owner of the software. Is that maybe the problem ? Also, if i try connect to the itunes store there comes always the error message 42408.
I dont know what I should do...i having no more ideas, nothing is working: no connection to the itunes store, no connection to the ipod, the ipod could not read on itunes, still on the ipod display the cable with the connection sign to itunes.
I think I have to bring the ipod tomorrow to the genius bar and ask them to restore my ipod touch.
Its an nightmare.....

Sorry to ask an obvious Question, but have you signed out in iMessage and iTunes store on your iPad then logged in with the new ID/Password?
It may be that the iPad is remembering your old login in one part of the iPad. -

Hi there, Im not able to reactivate my Ipad2 w 7iOS after I backed all on icloud&erased all content&settings.It showed its linked to my apple id (showing the first letters of my apple id/email address) when I wanted to set it up. When I tried to log in - nothin worked, neither apple id or my psw. I checked the activation help on website and I looked up alsoon my icloud account and checked whether I dont have it in my all devices - but nothing.I also tried my cousin email and apple id who was the previous owner and that didnt work either. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.
When using it earlier, I discovered that the burn tool would not work, no matter how i adjusted its settings. I also found out that the image was in Greyscale mode, which I manually changed to RGB mode. I hadnt changed it to Greyscale mode so I dont know how it came to be that way. I wonder if there is another mode it needs to be in for the burn tool to work?
Another point, once i changed it to RGB mode, i tried the burn tool on another color and it was working. It will not work on the gray part of the image im working with. Really not sure why that is...It seems that the transparency was the problem, somehow.
I saved the file as a JPG and re-opened it in Photoshop, and the burn tool worked.
