Burn DVD with PE8

Ihas anyone
found how to burn a DVD inPE8. I keep getting an error message "unable to creatWMV file" I am not tech proficient and don't know what that means or how to continue. I have spent several hours with Adobe Tech people who give me instructions I neither understand nor can I implement. For example the last person told me to follow the Tutorial  which She said I could access my opening PE8  welcome and click on Tutorials. Unless I am doing something wrong there is no icon or Tutorial link on the Welcome Page. Can anyone help?

Thank you for your help. I may be getting somewhere but have no idea how. I
tried your suggestion and created  sideshows with 3 and then 4 pictures in
PRE 8. When I went to burn a DVD " the WMV file worked and I saved it to"
My  Docs- My DVDs". Going further I was able to successfully Burn the DVD.
Then to  my great surprise I tried the original sideshows and it too first
created WMV file and after trying a few different things I did create a  DVD.
The procedure I used was a little  awkward.and I hope I can  replicate it.
After saving the WMV file I had to close the computer and  leave. When I
reopened the PRE 8 program I could not open the file from the  welcome screen.
I was able to open it by first opening the Organizer and then  clicking on
the Title Slide for the slide show. Then I used the Share button to  click
on Burn Disc (DVD). It took a very long time to load the file to what I
assume was the editor screen and a very very long time to burn the DVD but  it
was successful. I hope this explanation is not too confusing. I  have no idea
why this has worked but I am glad it does .I would love to have a  clear
cut procedure to follow now that the program is apparently working. The
following I hope answers your previous questions and will be helpful to others
having the same problems.
!A - There was no more detail in the error message and no other messages.
MY success is described above.I have in the past used  "sonic creator"
program to create VCD discs of digital pictures.
2A - There are 98 photos in the slide show
2B - The photos are jpeg mostly from my Canon 8 megapixel camera.
3 - The time is 7' 24" ( 7 min. 24 sec)
4- - My C drive shows 86.7 GB available
At some point when I was creating the DVD I got a new error message I had
not previously seen,
"GPU Play back will not disable because your  current graphics card
driver is not compatable with the application.  GPU  playback provides smoother
better quality previews. To use GPU play back update  your graphics card
then go to eit>Preference>general to turn GPU back  on"
Graphic card detail : ATI Technologies Inc,- RADEOH  XPRESS 200M  ++++"
I tried to follow this but apparently didn't get the address right and was
not able to continue.
When burning the DVD the very, very long time was about 1 1/2 hrs to burn a
7 1/2 min DVD.This seemed like a very long time.
Thank You again,
Dick Arnold

  • I have a Power Mac G4. I have previously burned DVDs with no problem.  Now I get an error message stating it doesn't recognize the disc and an error

I have a Power Mac G4 with OX 10.4.11.  I have previously burned DVDs with no problem.  Now I've gotten two different sets of messages.  One states that
the disc is not readable and an error code: 0x8002006D.  The more recent message states the disc is incompatible and an error code: 0x80020025.
What is going on?  I need to burn discs immediately for a conference next week.

"The more recent message states the disc is incompatible and an error code: 0x80020025."
The error (0x80020025) refers to an unsupported drive (not disk).  I've read about relaunching the Finder to correct the problem.  Choose "Force Quit" from the Apple Menu and then choose "Finder." Click "Relaunch" and see if the drive still produces the error.  If there's no change, I'd be tempted to replace the drive.

  • Burning dvd with premiere elements 11

I burn video files on to dvds.  I always key NTSC widescreen.  Sometimes, the image fills the tv screen.  Most of the time however, there is a 2" wide black border around the image, between the image and the edge of the tv screen.  How do I get the image to fill the tv screen?

Thank you for responding to my problem.  I'm afraid the reading didn't help.  All of my 20 files were created with the same camera, the same project settings, the same equipment, etc.  But when I burned each of them to their own dvd disc, a few of the programs filled the frame on the tv down the hall.  Most however, have a 2" black border around the image.  It makes no sense to me.

I really appreciate the fast sent solution about my failure to burn DVDs with Lion, but I am 89 years old and think I know something about computers, but don't have a clue about ZAPPing PRAM nor RESET SMC.  I also can't find any evidence of a preserved earlier OS (Snow Leopard).  I also don't know how to partition further my drive after all this time…(I used to have Parallels partitioned) but as I said I cannot find any where on the HD SN.  Is it possible that it doesn't exist anymore?  Not too technical, please, unless that is the only possible answer to this whole delemna..

  • Burning dvd with no menu

    Hello,
I am looking for a way to burn a movie so that the movie automatically plays when ou put it in the dvd player, without a menu screen coming up first. is that possible?

I have burned dvd's from idvd with no menue. What i did was go to the themed screen I chose, whether I want to use it or not in the final burn, and click on the "three boxes" icon (called the" show the DVD map")on the bottom of the menu page. It shows a box with the words "Drag content here to automatically play when disc is inserted. What I do is click and drag the movie to that gray box, and then continue on to burn the dvd to a disk. the dvd will burn and will automatically play when you insert the finished dvd into a dvd player.

  • Internal software error: .\vobulator\titleplanner\cgopgrouper.cpp, line 401 when burning DVD with sl

I am burning a DVD that has 10 slideshows. Each slideshow is treated as a chapter. I have burned DVDs in the past using this method with no problems. Now, with this project I get the following.
internal software error: .\vobulator\titleplanner\cgopgrouper.cpp, line 401

This error came up again (the first time i had to rebuild), and i figured out that it had to do with a clip i had in a timeline that needed trimming, and would not butt up cleanly to the preceeding clip. i am assuming that the chapter point i inserted did not fall on a GOP, and generated this error.
when i took that clip out of the timeline and put it in it's own seperate timeline, the disc burned with no problem.
hope this help someone else skip the frustration i had.

  • How do i burn dvd with no menu - just play?

    hello,
I need to burn a dvd with no menu, so that when it plays, it goes straight to movie...
    thanks,
    steve

Steve - import your asset into DVDSP so that it appears in the assets tab. When imported (and the button shows green), drag the footage into the time line. This sets the footage into 'track 1'.
If you look in the outline view you will see Menu1 and Track 1 listed. menu 1 is the default choice for 'First Play' - if you now click on the disc icon at the top of the outline view then look in the property inspector you will find another way of setting 'First Play' - simply use the option to select the track instead.
If you control+click on the track icon in the outline view (or in the graphical view for DVDSP 3+) you get the option to set First Play there too - simply select the words at the top of the contextual menu.

  • Unable to burn DVD with iMovie?

    Am fairly dissapointed with Apple.
I have spent time today creating a short movie of photos of my 2 month old son.
When trying to share with iDVD I have realised that my iLife 11 doesn't come with this software and I can't download it!
I am therefore unable to burn my project to disc and feel I have wasted my time.
In my opinion this seriously reduces the usablility of iMovie.
Is there anyway I can burn the DVD without spending a shed load of cash on some third party software??
    Thanks

I was also disappointed when I bought my Mac and it came without iWeb and iDVD.
For burning DVDs, I use a free app called Burn http://burn-osx.sourceforge.net/Pages/English/home.html.
You can't do fancy menus or anything that iDVD can, but at least you can get your iMovie Projects onto a DVD.
You have to export your project from iMovie and then drag the .m4v or .mov file that comes out onto Burn (Make sure the Video tab at the top is selected.
Of course, if you have a MacBook Air, you'll need an external optical drive capable of burning DVDs.

  • Bad quallity film after burning dvd with idvdv professional quality.

After making a movie in imovie and importing it in idvdv the quality is still HD
after burning a dvd with professional quality the quatity of the dvdv is very poor. Horizontal lines are dancing over the screen!!
Can anyone tell me wat is going on???

Keep in mind that all Dvd's burned through your mac and are playable on your mac as well as your set top DVD player are ALWAYS standard definition /SD. There is no way around this (that is if your intentions is for playback on most computers and most set top Dvd Players.
One of the limiting factors is apple's dvd player app. It isn't fully blu-ray compatible yet. Meaning that even if you did burn a high def. Dvd which is only playble on Sony's PS3 and most set top Blu-ray players .... the finished Dvd won't play on your mac since apple has yet to update/upgrade their DVD Player application to fully incorporate Blu-ray standards. To the best of my knowledge, apple's support is very limited here. Hence the alternative for mac users is to use Roxio Toast's Blu-ray plug in as well as Toast Blu-ray player. If you opt to go high def through Toast then the completed Dvd will NOT play on most set top dvd players but will on most Blu-ray Players as well as Sony's PS3.
Hope this advice helps but if not just come on back.

  • How to burn DVD with project from iMovie ?

Last year I had made several iMovie projects on a macbook pro. I was unable to burn them to a dvd so I ended up transfering them to a Windows computer and using ImgBurn and I successfully made playable DVDs.
I know have a Mac with Yosemite and I just finished a iMovie project. I need to burn it to a playable DVD. I've spent hours researching and trying to find a way. I have Video_TS and Audio_TS files, an iso file, and a mpg file. Surely, if you are able to create a "movie" there must be an easy way to burn it to a DVD?
If a Superdrive is able to burn DVD's shouldn't there be an option somewhere?
    I have iMovie 10.0.6
    Yosemite 10.10.1
    I do not have iDVD

I solved my own problem. After two full days of trying and having multiple videos files (iso, mp4, mpg,video_ts, audio_ts,etc) I was finally able to burn a playable DVD! I ended up using miDVD to burn it. I first exported my iMovie project as a file and opened up the Movies file and dropped it in there. From there it showed up in the miDVD program and it was super simple to get it burned to a dvd that works in dvd players and on my mac.

  • How burn DVD with my iMac

I don't know how i can burn a DVD with my imac

    i bought 2 weeks ago OS 10.7.4
If you are still within your 15 day return period.  Call Apple they will sent out iDVD at no charge.  (There are no realistic substitutes.)
Nicely explain that you may return the computer without iDVD. That usually does the trick.  You MUST speak to a senior advisor to get a free copy. The first tier people cannot do it.
    408-996-1010
    800-692-7753
If that doesn't work you can purchase iLife 11  (includes iDVD) on disk.
IDVD is a wonderful piece of software and well worth the low cost of $40.

  • Burn DVD with chapters?

I put chapter markers in my Final Cut Pro project, but when I exported my .mov file and used Toast to burn a DVD, there were no chapters. How on earth do I make a DVD with chapters?

The chapter marks will be respected by Compressor and DVDSP.
You can either go back into FCP and re-export with DVDSP markers or you can set markers on any GOP boundary in the DVDSP track timeline. Both apps have very nice Help files for specifics.
