"Burn" Iris stays grey

After completing a iPhoto slide show project with iTunes audio in iDVD, I am unable to get the iDVD Burn Iris to activate. I've saved the project, then archived the project and burned the archive into the SuperDrive onto a DVD-R disk using Disk Utility, but no-go on iDVD.
What is preventing the Burn Iris from becoming active?
15" 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo Mac OS X (10.4.8) iDVD 6.03

Can you save as a disk image?
This frequently helps solve some problems. Quit iDVD. Search for the file named com.apple.iDVD.plist and trash it. (A new one will be created next launch of iDVD.) Or look in: User/Library/Preferences. This may solve project loading errors too. Restart and use Disk Utility to Repair Permissions.
You'll need to reset some Preferences.

When recording on a loop , it creates multiple recordings, and places it on a new track. I love this functionality! However only the last loop recorded lets me play it / hear it. How do I enable the other tracks so that i can hear them (ungrey them out / enable them). Much thanks in advance for any help!

You can try to reboot a few more times. If it doesn't come back and you normally sync to a computer, hook it up and see if the 'guts' are working even if the screen isn't.
Beyond that you should make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out.

MacBook Pro would not shut down using the shut down mode. Had to do it manually. When I tried to boot it up again, the screen stays grey with Apple icon displyed while gear disc keeps spinning endlessly. Have had to shut it down manually and then tried to boot it up again to no avail.

Hello! Try running fsck. It runs the same repair routine that disk utility does. I do recommend that you have a set of install disks or at least a bootable clone of your hard drive. If fsck doesn't repair the disk then disk utility on the install disc probably wouldn't either. The next alternative is DiskWarrior. Tom

You'll start up into a command line interface.. it'll look strange but just hang in there.
When it's done booting up, you should see something that looks like this:
localhost:/ root#
at this point, type in 'fsck -f" please note the space before the dash, and of course, ignore the quote marks, then hit return
You computer will no go thru some low level checks on your HD. Most likely you'll get a list of a few files that have problems and this procedure will fix them.
This should take about 2 or 3 mins, so don't be in a rush.
When the line says "VOLUME WAS MODIFIED", this means that changes were made.
At this point you should be back at the same
localhost:/ root# prompt.
run fsck -f again.
Wait for it to finish.
if you continue to get the "Volume was modified" message,
continue to run fsck -f until you'll get a prompt that says
The Volume(your HD) appears to be ok,
again with the localhost:/ root# prompt.
AT this point, type reboot, hit enter and your computer will start up normally.

IPod Classic 80 songs stay grey in iTunes after synching

After my computer bluescreened, I started up iTunes and iPod again, but everything had gone, including all my playlists. I re-loaded iTunes from my back-ups and wanted to re-load my iPod from there. As synching seemed the quickest way, I chose that (still took 8 hours mind you). I kept getting message that iPod couldn't be read, but after I started synching each time, eventually my whole library was in my iPod again. Only... the songs stay "grey" in the iPod menu. iPod itself plays fine, but as soon as I connect it to iTunes, I can't do anything with the songs. I tried to switch of sync mode, but then it threatens to remove all songs. I also updated iTunes, but that didn't help. Help me out of this crap please

The songs are grayed out in iTunes because your iPod is set up to automatically sync content from your iTunes library. If you wish to change this, you will have to enable the "manually manage music and videos" option from under your iPod's Summary tab in iTunes as I believe you mentioned above. However, this is the only way to make this change so you can mess with songs directly from your iPod's song menu.

Apps stay grey, have tried everything suggested

I have tried turning phone off and on again, tried resynching and removed apps and resynched, downloaded and synched again, etc. but some apps stay greyed out. Anybody have any suggestions?

If you are looking at the front page of the App Store and you are seeing the "downloading" message on the right under Quick Links.
Try this... Go into the "Purchases" section in the top bar of the App Store find ML in the list you are presented with. Does it say Resume? If so click the button and it will change to Pause. You may have paused it previously and forgot.
If not then do as Csound1 suggested and simply wait for it to finish

Others have the same issue, with the import button being grayed out. My trail copy expired, but I believe by poking around in the options and selecting another Aperture library and re-selecting, I was able to continue.
The problem is common enough, that hopefully Adobe will address. In the mean time, try repairing your Aperture library, checking permissions, exporting a subset of your library for a test, or try putting that library subset on an external drive. (Can usually avoid permissions issues.)

Go to Restrictions and turn that off. When on, you are not able to get into most settings.

Quick mask is staying grey

I am trying to figure out why my quick mask color is staying grey. I tried selecting it to be red and it still stays grey. The quick mask tool also isn't selecting. Anyone know whats going on? My RBG is selected in mode so I am confused as to what is going on!

Yes after looking at my settings before realizing my Quick mask wasn't working their were other issues until i figured out that my graphic processor was for some reason turned off so I did that, then i realized that i put it in Advanced mode and that why it was glitching up so i put it too basic and now it works fine. Everything in that article is prior to restoring as new. If the OP has already restored as new, none of the steps in that article will really matter. This is a known issue in a small percentage of iPhones.
Also, the OP linked to this forum FROM that article you quoted. However, in the future, if the OP has not tried anything, and hasn't linked from that article, definitely refer them to that article.

Technical Monitoring - Customer Metric stays grey

Hi experts,
I did create a customer metric (RFC PULL) which reads data from an RFC-FM.
I did create a rfc-pull template and did assign this to an customer metric and alert.
However, the metric always stays grey.
If I change the measurement to "Counter Threshold" it changes to red and displays value "0".
When I open the detailed metric i can see the correct values.
If I test the rfc pull metric with report AC_ALRT_ANALYSIS_TOOLS I get all values correct.
So the FM seems to be fine.
But I don't know how to go on, how to analyze further.
