Burn Marks on the bottom of my mac

my mac seems to have overheated and now there are some serious burn marks on the bottom. what can i do to help it cool down?

If you have burn marks you have some pretty serious issues. I'd contact Apple. I wouldn't be looking for a Band-Aid® when you need a tourniquet

This forum is for Apple's defunct office suite 'AppleWorks' - since the word count is not in the places you mention I assume you are talking about Microsoft Word? Though it's just possible someone in this forum might also use Word and know the answer, you would stand a higher chance of getting an answer in Microsoft's own forums. You could also try asking in the forum applicable to your operating system - Lion, Mavericks or whatever - on the reasonably chance of finding someone familiar with Word.

Because that has nothing to do with burning CDs.
Select the playlist in iTunes.
Go to iTunes menu File > Burn playlist to CD.

i sent my mac to get fixed buy apple over a year ago now most of the screws have come out the bottom and ive lost them? he probly didnt screw them in tight enuff? does anybody know where i can order some online with a little screw driver to?

had the same issue a couple of times - the first time, i went to the nearest Apple Store and was given the screws I needed for free.
the second time i needed a couple of the long screws - i went to an Apple Authorized Service Provider and again, I was given the screws for free.

Imac has a burn mark on the logic board

i have a imac emc2266
i recently came across a imac alumium 20 inch and the guy said it doesnt boot and doesnt chime
i have tried every setting and every test still nothing.T
The fans spin and the computer tries to boot
led 1and 2 are on but the logicboard doesnt have a third led
the computer will run a mouse but the keyboard will not power
i checked the logicboard it has a small burn mark
next to the audioboard

I doubt any of those have burn marks. something on that board has fried causing the burn mark. you could find the failed part and try to replace it but you never know what else failed at the same time or failed because of the fried part.

With difficulty. You need really to have a cheap wintel box running preferably XP. Take the drive out and install it in the PC and from there you should be able to get lots of free flashing utilities from all over the net.

Noise coming from the bottom of my mac?

There's a noise coming from the base of my early 2013 Mac Book Pro Retina. When I'm resting it on my lap or pick it up it sounds like a spring sound and occasionally I can here it when I'm typing and push down a little hard on the t, y and u keys. Do you think it would be possible to take this in to an Apple store and get it replaced or changed? Not effecting performance but expect better for paying upwards of £2000. Still within the 1 year warranty. Thanks.

Aside from the fan, there should be no noises emanating from a retina MBP. Your MBP comes with a warranty. By all means take advantage of it and make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar.

I have firefox in the bar at the bottom of my mac. It always opens when I doubleclick on it until yesterday. Now it gets a small brown dot at the base of the fox's tail and nothing happens.

What does it mean when I doubleclick on my firefox icon and it doesn't open? The icon also gets a small brown dot.

Has anybody else noticed burn marks on bottom of screen?

I have 2 Macbook pro's non-unibody previous models and on both of them I have noticed charred marks on the bottom of the screen (silver portion) and on the bar that connects the screen to the body.

Take it into an Apple store or AASP.

What happened to the Sepia feature in the new Photos for Mac?

I used to convert pictures to Sepia in Aperture, but have not been able to find the ability to do so in the new Photos app. Does that feature not exist?

Burn mark on charger

My charger has stopped working. I'm not familiar with the correct terminology. On the power adapter (white square), there is a cord sticking out which you use to connect to your macbook to charge it. Where the cord and the power adapter meet, there seems to be a burn mark and the plastic has holes in it.
I'm not using the charger anymore, for fear of damaging my macbook. I'm going to buy a new one from Best Buy probably. I think I should get the same model, 60W MagSafe.
I assume the burn mark came from over heating. What do you guys do to prevent this from happening?
