Burn MP3 disk with correct stop time

I am trying to burn an MP3 disk with specific start and stop times. I can listen to it just fine on my computer, but the burn to MP3 options does not recognize the specific start/stop times. Any ideas?
Windows XP
  Windows XP

iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > Importing > change "Import using" to mp3 encoder, and if required change the bitrate etc, in the "Setting" menu.
Now, in the main library window, select and ctrl-click on the track(s) you want to convert and you will see a "Covert selection to mp3" option.
The "Convert selection to ...." option will change depending on what format you have selected to import files as.
A warning though: AAC files converted to mp3s probably won't sound very nice!

  • Problem burning song mix with start/stop times

I'm trying to create a mix, and two of the songs in the mix are set to use only a small portion of each song. I've changed the gap to none and set all songs to gapless...but when I burn the disc, these two songs are burning with 6 seconds, as opposed to the 3.01 and .5 seconds I set in my playlist. Thoughts?

I tried that, but it didn't take of the issue. The two songs I'm having problems with were in an unprotected format, but even after converting, it's still burning :06 seconds. It's really not burning the additional time of the songs...it's burning blank air. So when I playback the CD, I only hear the portion of the song I'm looking for, but there is dead space between the songs, even though I have gapless selected on each song.

I reinstalled I-Tunes several weeks ago.  I can no longer burn MP3 Disk with Song/Artist info onto disc.  It comes up as No Artist/No Title on car CD unit.  Old MP3 Disk previously recorded still show all info.  Sometimes only every 3rd song is on the MP3 CD.  On Audio Disc there is no change and all info still shows up.  The new I-Tunes version has the "cloud" on it if that could make a difference.  In the select Burn CD mode I can select testing and add song info for Audio Disk but it shows shadowed out for MP3/Data.  I added and removed ID tagging from my list to see if that made a difference but it didn't.
    Any Thoughts?

This may help.  Audio files are actaully in the DATA folder.  These can be editted with Soundbooth then they must be imported intot the specific slide in the Powerpoint presentation.  Publish the presentation (as you'll read below) and *should* work This reply came from robva65 [email protected]
Let's try this: *Publish* the PPT deck you have.  What you'll end up with is a set of files and folders, but I want you to look for the *data folder* that's created as a result of the publishing process. (Unless you specify where you're publishing to, Presenter will publish to a directory called "My Adobe Presentations" by default, so you may have to look there on your harddrive)  Inside the data folder will be a list of mp3 files, which, if everything goes smoothly, should make it much, much easier to see which audio is used by a specific slide.
Here's what I mean: for example, after publishing, I have a data folder and inside I found the following file: a24x9x3.mp3  As I double click the mp3 file (which causes it to play using Windows Media on my laptop), I can hear that it corresponds to my slide 9 in my PPT deck.  And there's corresponding mp3 files for each and every slide I have in my deck.  I'm clicking another file (wouldn't it be nice to see what I'm doing???) a24x20x3.mp3, and that file corresponds to my slide 20 content in PowerPoint.
So again, give publishing in PowerPoint a shot and see if that makes it any easier.  Well...not nearly as easy as recording in Audition/Soundbooth/Audacity, but it's close enough to hopefully dig you out of that hole you're in now.
    Hope this helps ~rich

I reloading LR onto a new lap top.    I have the orginal LR 1 disk with correct Serial #.   I have downloaded it,  every time I try to open the program I get the "Do you want to buy or I have a Serial Number Page".    I fill out the page include the serial # accept terms and enter.   All fine and good seems normal.  When I try to open LR I get the damn "Do you want to buy" page.   I do I get past this BS?

What version of LR are you trying to activate? A serial number for LR 1 will not activate LR versions 2 - 5, but it will enable you to purchase LR 5 at the upgrade price and activate it.

  • Whats the best alternative to idvd for burning a disk with pics to play in a dvd player?

Whats the best alternative to idvd for burning a disk with pics to play in a dvd player? I don't want to deal with older versions of ilife.

Whats the best alternative to idvd for burning a disk
In my opinion, there are none.
Yes, there are other programs that will put a movie on a DVD.   I have tried most of the other substitutes including Toast, Burn, DVD Creator, Wondershare, and others.  None of them come anywhere near the ease-of-use and power of iDVD.
IDVD is a wonderful piece of software and well worth the low cost of $40.

  • Burning mp3 files with SuperDrive - first 10 sec of each song missing

    Hello music fans,
When I burn mp3 songs to a CD  using SuperDrive on a MacBook Air (mid 2012), the first 10 seconds of every song are not playing.
This had never happened to me before using other drives. I tried all sorts of tricks, disks and programs and everything points to the SuperDrive. When I play the disc on the computer  all is fine. The issue shows when playing the disc on a Sony mp3 disc player which usually never had such issues before when I used Tiger and another burner.
FYI burning regular CDs works OK.
Does anybody have this problem as well?
    Thanks,
    Marin

As Chris already answered, Copy To Play Order basically locks down the play order of the playlist so it shows up that way in the iPod. If you simply sort the playlist with a certain header in iTunes, once the playlist goes to the iPod, the iPod doesn't know or respect that sort order. But if you Copy To Play Order, then you lock down the order of the playlist.
I am sticking with iTunes 6 simply because it isn't broken, so I have no reason to upgrade and risk issues. Plus, upgrading iTunes requires me to also upgrade QuickTime to version 7 which presents a number of potential issues with my system. Mac OS 10.3.x does not always play nicely with QT7 and I don't want to risk not being able to properly use other QT dependent Apps like iTunes, iMovie, and iDVD. Right now my system is perfectly stable and operating very nicely. Since I am not interested in dropping $130, or whatever it is, to upgrade the Mac OS, I am not interested in upgrading QT or iTunes and potentially FUBARing my setup.
Same with my iPod. My fifth generation iPod still uses Firmware version 1.0 (the original version). I think they are up to something like v1.2.x now. Again, the iPod works perfectly so why update? Especially since many of the updates only add features to support other Apple products I don't want and in some cases even remove features I do want (being able to toggle the LCD backlight using the menu button for example).

  • ITunes WILL burn mp3 disks but NOT audio format disk - HELP!!

It's 1am and I've just pulled out the last of my hair.... Been trying to fix this for the last 4 hours. Here's the background.....Started out innocently enough, tried to burn a cd for my wife of a play list I'd created. Kept getting an Error 4450 message. Found what appeared to be the answer here, turned off the option to include text info on the cd. When I tried it again, I no longer got the error message, in fact, it seemed to be going through the burn process. However, after it said it was writing the last song on the list, a new window popped up from XP, indicating a blank disk in the drive. iTunes acts like its done. Nothing else happens. The CD in the drive is still blank. Now, if I change the burn settings to burn an mp3 disk (as opposed to audio), everything works.
I've tried everything I can think of. I did have Roxio v. 10 I think, but uninstalled it thinking that was causing a problem. No change. Can anyone help??
    Thanks!

  • ITunes 11 - How do I burn mp3 CDs WITH folders??

I know how to burn mp3 cds on iTunes 11, but all the mp3s are thrown into a root folder.  I would like to be able to separate albums into different folders.  I'm sure this is pretty simple, yet I cannot figure it out.  This is for iTunes 11!  Thanks.

If you sort the playlist by Album, they will be burned into Album folders on the CD.
If you sort by Artist, they will be out into Artist then Album folders.
See this -> iTunes: How to set the play order of songs on an MP3 CD
(it should be the same with iTunes 11 but I haven't tried it yet)

  • Burn MP3 disc with just tracks and no folders

    You Guys Rock!!!
I would like to know how to burn an MP3 disc with just tracks and no folders. Right now, all songs show up as foler 1 song 1,2,3 --- then it will go folder 2 track 1,2,3,4 etc. I want to get it to simply read track 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 etc. all the way through the disc.
I typically get 80 songs on a standard CD-R disc. There may be 30 folders all with 2 or 3 songs within them. It is very confusing to scan through to the track I want to hear next.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Select the playlist then click on the Name cloumn & burn the CD.
If you sort by Artist it will put them into Artist/Album folders.
If you sort by Album, it will put them into Album folders.
get iTunes to burn with no sub-folders (ie, CD/Rock or CD/Pop and not CD/Rock/The Eagles/Take It Easy.mp3)?
Never seen it burn into Genre folders./Album folders...

  • Burning MP3 disks from purchased iTunes Store songs

Making MP3 disks from songs I have purchased from the iTunes Store is pretty inconvenient: first I have to make a Music CD, then I have to reimport the files as MP3s, then, finally, I can make an MP3 disk. Is there something I'm missing? I wish it was easier.

Buy the iTunes Plus tracks & those can be directly converted to mp3. Also, if you need mp3 tracks, you might want to take a look at Amazon.com's download service which offers unprotected mp3's at a higher bitrate.

  • Wh can't I burn a disk with songs downloaded from itunes?  It won't let me burn MP3 songs

I downloaded some songs from itunes and tried to burn them to a disk.  When I tried to burn them as MP3 I got a message that the songs downloaded from Itunes can't be burned as MP3.  Because I paid for the songs I'd like to be ablet o burn them to a disk.  Any solutions?

The songs downloaded from the iTunes Store are in AAC format.  If you wish to use them for an MP3 disc, you need to create an MP3 version using these instructions:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
Note that the conversion process creates a new MP3 version, but leaves the original in the playlist.  You can replace it manually.

  • Burn a mp3 disk with acc files

I have a library full of ACC (mp4) files. In the old days I have chosen mp3 as my iTunes format but seduced by soundquality/filesize I converted all my CDs to ACC again.
Now...i recently bought a mp3 capable cd player for the car. In the old days I could just choose a playlist up to 700mb and burn it to a cd. Is there an easy way (automator, applescript, toast) to burn a ACC file playlist into a mp3 CD without manually converting acc->mp3 and then deleting duplicates after etc. etc......
    I have Toast 7.
thank you in advance for tips.
    pierre

iTunes > Preferences > Advanced > Importing > change "Import using" to mp3 encoder, and if required change the bitrate etc, in the "Setting" menu.

  • Burn mp3 cds with protected AAC?

i noticed the new itunes site said "Play them anywhere
Create audio CDs to play in CD players like the one in your car or home stereo. Or make MP3 CDs to play on Mac and Windows computers and in MP3-compatible car stereos and CD players.".....does this include music you buy? why would they put this if it isnt even for music you can buy from them?

No, I imagine that nothing has changed, and you can still only burn audio CDs from purchased music, not mp3 CDs.

  • How Can I Burn a Disk with PE11?  Or do I use Media Player?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Is this question about Premier Elements 11 (you say PE11) ?  If so then try this:
Burn video files to a DVD/Blu Ray Disc
If you have Adobe Premiere Elements installed, you can burn media files to a DVD/Blu Ray Disc.
Select the media files you want to copy.
Select Share > Burn Video DVD/BluRay. Adobe Premiere Elements launches and enables you to burn the media files to a DVD or a Blu Ray disc.
If this doesn't work then try this link:
