Burned cd's skip on consumer players not on computer?
I burned 8 audio cd's all of them had at least half of the songs skipping slightly most were so bad they were unplayable-two different players wouldn't recognize them.then one did but static and skips were awfull. I tried three different consumer players-all rated for cd-r's-the same story. I burned half of the discs on tdk 52xcdr and the rest on tdk 24x cdr from different boxes so it's not the blank cd's.
Here's the wierd part- my mac (g5) plays them perfectly. Any Suggestions??
What format did you burn the disk? Not all CD players
can play all format disks.
If burned as an audio CD - use only CD-R - not all
players will play CD-RW. If it is as a mp3 disk - not
all players wilol play mp3 format CD's and not all
will play AAC (mp4) tunes.

All the CD's burnt was CD-R. On some of the CD's the files had the extention .m4a the others .aiff. The ones with .m4a played ok on the CD players and the ones with .aiff did not. As all the CD's was burned following the same procedure to the best of my knowledge I am very confused have this could happen.Hope somebody can explain.

Create your playlist in iTunes, making sure it will fit on a CD (time and size of playlist shown at bottom of window).
I think as you're in Lion, it'll be iTunes 10? If so I believe the burn option is now in one of the menus - probably 'file', but it shouldn't take much finding).
Selecting Burn should give you a dialogue some thing like this;
(This is iTunes 9, so it may not be exactly the same).
Choose Audio CD and set the gap if reqd.
Click burn, then insert the CD when prompted in the top of the iTunes window. -
Burned DVD movies skip/freeze on regular DVD player
I've made a few home movies, and burned them on to DVDs. When I play them on a regular DVD player (Sony), the movie skips/freezes from time to time. I've burned the same movie on my other MacBook, and this does not happen.

I would take a look at the following:
1. Try a different brand blank DVD medium when you burn the disc. Set top players seem to be a lot more sensitive to the brand of disc than computers.
2. Burn the iDVD project to an image file. Share the image file over to another Mac and burn it there. See if you still have problems with playback.
3. If you still had problems with an image file burned on a different computer, then you know it must be something in the data format of the disc. I've experienced problems with some set top DVD playback machines that can not handle sustained high bit rate content. As far as I know, iDVD uses a relatively simple encoding strategy, and does not do much to reduce the information content of the encoded video stream. If you start with a high resolution QuickTime or DVI import, playback machines with limited disc performance might not be able to keep up.
I did some fairly superficial Google searches and looked at iDVD, and I didn't see any means of setting up the bit rate and encoding strategies that iDVD will use. Perhaps, somebody with a little more experience can comment?... A professional DVD encoding software suite will do a multi-pass encoding - once to figure out optimization and then again to render output. That sort of analysis might require an over-night run to make the disc. I have a feeling Apple avoided that in order to make iDVD more consumer friendly. It also avoids stealing market from more professional products like Final Cut.
You might be able to go into iMovie HD to edit the clips. You could send them to QuickTime, and reduce the bit rate there, then import the QuickTime clips into iDVD.

Why don't pictures from a slideshow made in iPhoto and then burned on to a DVD in iDVD not use the full screen?
All I want to do is send my family the pictures for them to be able to see them on most dvds and use manually control.
If you want set top DVD player playback, I suggest you create a a series of slideshows IN iDVD that each contain a MAXIMUM of 99 images. Do not create the slideshow in iPhoto or iMovie.
Is there an easier way to do this, bypassing iDVD?

I have a photo cd from photographer that was burned on a mac but it will not open on my mac. It goes in, makes some noise, then ejects. My system pref. is set to open iPhoto when a photo cd is inserted. She has sent me 2 disc and both do the same thing. Any ideas?

when i burn a disk in Disk Utility, the burn completes but the verification process does not complete and my disk pops out. The error message i get is something like this "burn failed because disk cannot be verified," PLEASE HELP.
Also when i take the disk out it seems fine nd everything seems to be burned onto the disk. I am buring mac os x lion onto a disk.
The disk i am using is nextech and i am burning at the slowest speed (4x).
Also this is my 3rd time trying to do this and the verifying process keeps failing.... what do i do?see there

Environment : I must generate an XML parsed with an XSL document of 80Mo (nearly 22 000 rows),
as XMLGEN is on DOM parsing method, I extract my XML by 500 Rows and I loop until 22 000 rows. I use DBMS_JOB with jobs who read and execute export each minute.

******************************Thank you for the info - I had no idea I was puing myself in danger by cutting it so close. Since your post I have moved my iphoto library to an external drive and now have 165 GB of space on my HD. Following this I have 2 questions.
1. Since my available HD space was reduced by the size of the photo download it seems logical that the download is somewhere on my HD still. Is there a place where these photos might be hiding on my HD even though they are not available on the iphoto library?
2. I was able to recover the .jpg files which are fine. I also recovered the .mov files but they have been compromised. I am hoping I can find the originals still on the HD somewhere. If not, do you have any suggestions for recovery methods or programs? I have not used the SD card since the incident so I should be able to attempt another recovery to salvage the .mov files if there is an alternative method/program available.

I have created a BP with Category Person and BP Role Consumer but after saving my BP is not getting
replicated to ERP, though in the Clasification Tab i could see consumer is being selected and the Account
group 0170 - Consumer showing up.
I have also checked in PIDE transaction in ERP system this Account group has clasification E which is Consumer.person,and as numbe range is assigned to this Account group
i have checked in middleware there is an error message which says "BP XXXX doesnt not exist as customer,change not possible" and aslo one more message which says "no classification is assigned to BP"
any customizing is missing in CRM system, or only customiaing required is in ERP only?

SPRO>Logistic General>Business Partner>Customer>Define Account Groups and Field Selection for Customers.
Select 0170 Consumer account grp and click on details. You will see the Number range in General Data.
Copy that number range and goto below path and check if the number range is internal or external.
SPRO>Logistic General>Business Partner>Customer>Define and Assign Customer Number ranges. The popup will appear and select Define Number ranges for customer master. Click on display intervals. You will see the number range is mainatined internal or external.

my itunes is not downloading correctly even after i uninstalled all software of apple keeps saying the registry is missing to import and burn cds??? it is not on a mac computer
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

I burned my first iDVD andpicture quality is not good. Originals are excellent. My photos are shot in raw or jpeg, both are not sharp when I view my DVD. I viewed it on my 1080 dpi tv and my new apple computer.
There are many ways to produce slide shows using iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD and some limit the number of photos you can use (iDVD has a 99 chapter (slide) limitation).
If what you want is what I want, namely to be able to use high resolution photos (even 300 dpi tiff files), to pan and zoom individual photos, use a variety of transitions, to add and edit music or commentary, place text exactly where you want it, and to end up with a DVD that looks good on both your Mac and a TV - in other words end up with and end result that does not look like an old fashioned slide show from a projector - you may be interested in how I do it. You don't have to do it my way, but the following may be food for thought!
Firstly you need proper software to assemble the photos, decide on the duration of each, the transitions you want to use, and how to pan and zoom individual photos where required, and add proper titles. For this I use Photo to Movie. You can read about what it can do on their website:

Neither of these are freeware, but are worth the investment if you are going to do a lot of slide shows. Read about them in detail, then decide which one you feel is best suited to your needs.
Once you have timed and arranged and manipulated the photos to your liking in Photo to Movie, it exports the file to iMovie as a DV stream. You can add music in Photo to Movie, but I prefer doing this in iMovie where it is easier to edit. You can now further edit the slide show in iMovie just as you would a movie, including adding other video clips, then send it to iDVD 7, or Toast, for burning.
You will be pleasantly surprised at how professional the results can be!

I just changed my password for my apple i.d. so I could purchase a new album. I then bought the album, put it into a playlist to burn it to a cd-rw. And when i click ok to start the copy i keep getting this message "The attempt to burn a disc failed. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation" I have no idea what to do as to there is nothing on google except for write access. Which i don't need. Any suggestions?
Oddly enough. I think I just solved it. It looks like, for some reason, my computer has about 8 different "iTunes music" folders, and I've been saving my music to the wrong one. Neat. Music now imports and plays as it should. Copying things over is going to be so fun tonight!

Skip Initial Screen is not permitted for transaction SWF_OBJ_EXEC_CL

When clicking on the trip to edit the item from UWL, I am getting the error Skip Initial Screen is not permitted for transaction SWF_OBJ_EXEC_CL. Basically it is trying to open the tcode in Web GUI. I have the authorization for this tcode too.

If you want the sysetm to open something other than the default
method of the attached object in the UWL then you can use SWFVISU in
the backend.
By default (With no entries in SWFVISU) when you click on the attached
object from the UWL it will open WEBGUI and sue transaction
SWF_OBJ_EXEC_CL to execute the default method of the business object.
If you maintain a entry in SWFVISU it will check this first and
open whatever you have referenced in SWFVISU and not open WEBGUI and
