Burned cd won't eject in with Windows 7

Recently got a new Dell Aspiron 546 with Windows 7. I tried burning a playlist to cd but it won't eject until I restart computer. It will play on computer but not in car cd player like all earlier burned cds. Is this a Windows 7/itunes issue? Help

Hasn't happened since. Must have been a fluke.

Why won't windows 8.1 let itunes locate my music?  I deleted and downloaded, still won't do it.  But like majic after I installed windows 8.1 my computer had a XBOX music player appear, that found my 3200 songs and it was able to play the entire library no problem.  Any ideas on how i get itunes to start working with windows 8.1?

    Hi zachwill10,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
To resolve this issue you may need to uninstall iTunes and all of it's components, and reinstall the latest version as explained in this article:

  • BD Burner tray won't eject

I have a new quad and bought the LG GGW-H20L BD burner and installed it. The tray will not clear the computer on ejection. I figured out that I could pop off the drives face plate and thought I was golden, but the drive still doesn't clear the computers door. It looks like it may on the left side but there is a tab on the right that is a bit higher and it won't clear that. Anyone else experience this?
Before I took off the faceplate I was trying to take out the whole optical door assembly in the computer. There is one screw on the closet side to the you when looking in but I couldn't find what was holding it on the other side. I took out the plate in back that covers the cabling and used a mirror to look... I still don't see a screw or anything holding it in.
Help! I wanna burn some BD data discs.

I looked up that drive on NewEgg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136155
Seems like a very fine drive, but when I went to the manufacturers site I couldn't find it. Perhaps you'll be able to get it to fit. Perhaps having it done at an apple store would be a good idea. I just hope that it's dimensions will in fact line up with those of the standard Apple drive. Maybe a call to NewEgg will get you some info.
    Here's the manufacturers site: http://www.lge.com/us/index.jsp
Drivers? You made not need any. But if you do they should have come on a disk with the drive or perhaps you can download them from the site above. Good luck.

  • Burned dvd wont play on laptop, with Windows 8

I have an HP laptop with dvd drive, running CyberSuite for dvd playing. I can't get burned dvds to play. When I search the dvd drive, it says no files found.

    Hi @fjdyhland
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I see that you are having a problem playing DVDs. Is it only the burned DVD you are having a problem with? Do the burned DVDs work in other DVD players?  Any issue with regular DVDs or CDs? What is your product number?

  • Why won't Mail open with windows placed where I left them?

I use Mail all day (and night).
I have 3 viewer windows open - one Inbox, one Sent, and one misc set to either Trash, Junk, or drafts.
I place them as nested windows so that I can always see them all and click on the visible top left corner to choose the one I want to work with. Works fine for me.
When I quit Mail and then reopen it either after a restart or after transporting my laptop to a new location, I get all 3 viewer windows to open but never in the same place they were when the application quit. I have to go about repositioning them every time I open Mail.
It's hard to say, but I even think that the viewer windows open in same relative place on the screen that I never "showed" them. But it's always the wrong location.
Is there any way to "teach" mail to open these 3 key viewer windows in the same place every time?
    Steve

I did exactly as you described, locating the plist file and moving it from Library/Preferences to the desktop. I logged out, logged back in, and Mail started on the left side of my Dock and then promptly shot to the right. It is now to the left of a Google quick search box, an Applications Folder, a Documents folder, and a Downloads folder. I want the mail icon on the left side of my screen. How can I ensure that?

  • Videos won't play properly with Windows Vista

    Hi there,
I recently installed iTunes on my new computer, which is running Windows Vista Home Premium. After transferring my library over I tried to play a video to test it out, but found that the videos were all extremely choppy. I installed new video drivers for my video card (Nvidia 8800 GT), made sure I had the latest version of iTunes (7.2.0.35) and went through most of the steps in this troubleshooting article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305392
I didn't perform the last two steps (Modify your System Drive Configuration and Disable Readyboost) because I didn't see "the IDE bus that contains your hard drive" and am not using a flash-based drive.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

  • Burning Videos from iPhone/iTunes with Windows Movie Maker?????

How can I burn videos that I take on my 3GS iPhone and than sync to my PC/iTunes with Windows Movie Maker? When I attempt to load or drag the video file into movie maker it give me an error message due to the file type is not supported. Any suggestions or points in the right direction would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

This is because iTunes Store purchases and in a protected file format, so you won't be able to directly convert them from the protected file into something that Windows movie maker could read.
As the previous poster said, you can try burning the files to a CD, then importing the CD again. I think that ought to work.

  • Hp G72 series with windows 7 will not recognise burned audio cd

I have a HP G72 c55DX notebook. I tried to play a CD that was burned from Itunes and it came back as the disc was blank. I have played the disc in my car and on a cd player. I tried another disk that was burned on a different computer with Windows Media Player. It did not work either. I contacted Best Buy where I bought the notebook and their answer was some notebooks won,t let you play burned audio disks and I should contact HP.  Anyone witha little help would be appreciated.

  • My iMac will not recognize a blank DVD-R that I am trying to burn. It also won't eject unless I "shut down"

My iMac will not recognize a blank DVD-R that I am trying to burn. It also won't eject unless I "shut down" and restart while holding down the mouse button. Anyone have any remedies?

I ran into a similar (identical?) problem.  I inserted a DVD-R and my imac would not recognize it.  The only way to eject was to do a restart.  I tried some of the SMC reset stuff.  That didn't work.  I came across another thread on macrumors (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=336501)
    that solved my problem.
I have an external Western Digital Passport drive that I use for timecapsule.  It turns out
there are two files that WD adds to the /Library/LaunchDaemons that interferes with the
SuperDrive.  I removed the WD files from the LaunchDaemons directory and everything works fine
now.  Again, refer to the macrumors thread for more details.
The files I removed from the LaunchDaemons directory were:
    com.wdc.WDDMservice.plist
    com.wdc.WDSmartWareServer.plist
..yes I had installed the WD backup software to see if I liked it....I did not, but didn't realize this files would cause a conflict with the SuperDrive.

  • HT203164 CD burning on new pc with windows 7

I just bought a new pc with windows 7.  I downloaded the latest version of Itunes and now when I burn a cd it won't work in my car cd player.  Is there something special I need to be doing?  I didn't have this problem with my last pc.

Ok lets see if I clarify this... On the original Vista PC I have C, D, and the external drive which I thought everything was stored on was recognized as I.  The old PC now powered down and the external drive plugged in via USB  now recognized as  F on the new PC. So now the new PC has a 500G C drive and a 1 TB external drive. I read somewhere that the catalog file could be copied anywhere on the new PC and just double click on it PSE7 would open. I did and PSE opened the tags I created and albums were visible on the right side of the screen and PSE started generating thumbnails. Problem was PSE kept freezing and I couldn't even close it in task manager so I had to force a shutdown by holding in the power button.. After a few tries at this I un and reinstalled PSE7 it opened fine like before and it started generating thumbnails again. I had noticed some broken links as I scrolled down (not the hour glass icon but the camera icon with the rip in the page) which lead me to believe that some photos were still on the hard drives of the old PC. At this point I decided to close PSE on the new PC plug the external drive back on the old one and did a complete backup to the external drive having it scan for broken links before the back up started. Back to the new PC and for the hell of it before restoring from back up I figured I let it generate to see what happened. As I type a half a day later it is still generating thumbnails... There are over 15,000 pics there and a lot of them are duplicates but that is a question for another day. Any suggestion here? Stop generating and reinstall the backup to the c drive, clean up the folders on the external drive and when everything is fine make another backup and restore it to the external drive....
