Burned DVD gets green on the lower half

I have a problem with burning DVD.
Once I simulate the project on DVD Studio Pro,the lower half gets green.
Then I can not burn a DVD(shows "untitled DVD") or the burned DVD also gets same problem.
My project work fine on final cut pro.
how can I solve this problem?

i copied the dvd
How did you 'copy' the DVD? iDVD isn't for copying DVDs - Disk Utility is for copying DVDs.
Unfortunately, Disk Utility doesn't seem to like to copy DVD+R discs. Toast is your best bet.

  • Can not create a DVD (It gets green on the lower half of monitor)

Hi, everyone. This is second posting.
I still have a problem when burning the DVD.
Now I am ready to create a DVD.
Then I simulated the project on DVD Studio Pro 4 ,the lower half of the monitor gets green.
And sometimes I can not burn a DVD (can not choose "format") or even I could do it and mount it again , it shows "untitled DVD") Besides the burned DVD also gets green.
My project worked fine on final cut pro.
Did I install This application wrong?
or my Macpro has a problem with itself?
I need help. Please please give me any advise.
    Thank you.

Yes, by citations I mean footnotes, or endnotes in this case.
I finally found the vertical ruler, which wasn't showing, but what really solved it for me was turning on invisibles, which let me see what the column breaks were doing. I still don't have the total control I want over the way it looks, but at least the two, two-column sections are separate and above and below the horizontal box. I wish all the citations were below the rule line.
But I was amazed and grateful to find that Word docs would drag and drop into Pages. This is going to be a great tool. I just started with it a few days ago. I will report the non-wrap bug.
    Thanks,
    Alan

  • Text in fillable text form gets cut off and appears only in the lower half of the text form?

I'm trying to create a text-fillable PDF form. However, when I add a text form, the text I test in it gets cut off and appears only in the lower half of the text form by default (see 2nd photo below). How do I correct this and make the text take up ALL the space in the form like the 1st photo?

Have you set the text field properties options to multiline? Is so, please attach a screen shot of that dialog box so we can see how it is set.

  • Media Encoder in settings mode only shows the lower half of screen

All of a sudden, my Adobe Media Encoder CS4 is only showing the lower half of the screen in Settings mode. This is how it encodes from the .wmv file to .avi. and is therefore corrupting the file. Does anyone know why this has happened?

  • Burning DVDs get a "sensor key error"

    Hi,
When I tried to burn a DVD this morning, I got a message like this:
    " Driver reported an error
    Sense key: medium error
    Sense code: 0x73, 0x03"
I tried twice and got the same message. The first time, half the DVD was written when the message appeared and the second time, the burning had not yet began. I'm using Toast Titanium 7.0.
I used Utility Disk to check the HD and all is in good shape, no repair needed.
It seems to be a software problem, not an hardware one but I'm not sure.
Anyone can help on this ??
    TIA
    iMac G5, 17 inches, 1Gig of Ram   Mac OS X (10.4.8)
    iMac G5, 17 inches, 1Gig of Ram

it could be the DVD. I use Toast all day long and I occasionally get that and I just use a different DVD. Best thing to do is try to find a blank from a different lot and try again. If you only have one type of DVD, keep trying till it works.
There is no official standard for producing DVD's and CD's, so the success/failure depends on the lot more so than the maker.
    Other things to try:
Burn at 2x or 1x if you have the time.
Make sure "Buffer Underrun Prevention" is selected.
You might also want to try a DVD cleaner disk and/or some compressed air in case it's dusty in there.
Your mileage may vary, of course

my super drive wont burn dvd . and i get an error : sense key medium error sense code =0x73,0x03 for cd it work fine and read dvd ok just wont burn dvd of any kind tryed differrent makes but no result .. help pls

Hi and welcome to the discussions!
    Google is your friend...
I found this on a Roxio forum, but it offers the best advice I have seen anywhere about this error.
Basically, it is most likely the media or the speed you are trying to burn at. It could be a few other things, but those are the most likely culprits.

  • Unable to burn DVDs because I renamed the drive the project and burn files are on. Please help.

I am unable to burn DVDs because, not thinking, I renamed the external drive the project is on. How do I fix the problem in DVD Studio Pro 4? I changed the name back on the drive, the files show as linked, but it won't burn. I've tried to refresh the assets, didn't help. Relink is not available to try. I tried to go to file/advanced burn & build, but it was not available either. I'm new to all this so am very afraid to trash the preferences, not knowing if I'm going to do other harm.
    Thanks,
    Trish C

Reimport the files and drop them into the project.
    Your links should work.

  • How to fix an iPod touch that does not charge but gets hot in the lower back area?

I have a 3rd generation iPod touch 32gb and it will not turn off, nor will it charge. Plugging in to my computer, iTunes does not even detected. Even if I leave it to charge, it does not detect it. The odd thing is that it get really hot in the lower back area of the iPod. It is hot to the touch, as though it were 80 degrees+. Anyway for me to fix this?
The iPod is way out of warrenty, so I wonder if a Genius bar appointment will even help me. But I will give them a try.

Replace the battery.  If that does not work, then system board is toasted...

  • On certain sites, some lines have the lower half missing. Changing the font or its size does not help. The error does not appear with Iceape or Chromium.

On some sites certain lines appear with the bottom half missing, as if obliterated. Changing the font or its size does not help. The error does not appear with Iceape or Chromium.

I looks that the whole line doesn't fit in the container, so the bottom part is cut off. The usual cause is that a font is used that takes more vertical space, so any increase or changes from the font in what the website prescribes can cause this issue. I've seen web pages that were even affected by changing the minimum font size from none to 1 (!). If you do not have the font installed that the website specifies then Firefox will fallback to another (default) font that may have different dimensions.

  • Burned DVD loses audio near the end.

I am running IMovie 11, IDVD 7.12 on an IMac 2.7 Ghz i5 OS 10.8.2. I worked for about two months creating an IMovie that covers my family's entire seventeen day trip to Greece and Istanbul. It has a lot of title slides that explain in detail what we saw. I purchased copious amounts of Greek and Turkish music and appropriate sound effects. The Movie is about 150 minutes long. I previewed I Movie and it worked great. I transferred to IDVD by using share IDVD. I chose Professional Quality  and wide screen, NTSC and Dual layer disc. The DVD preview worked great, however after burning the disc there were two problems. First, the intro theme with drop zones and scene selections failed to appear. I suspect that was because there was something on the initial menu tile in the map. I suspect that created an autoplay but won't know until I burn another copy. Does that make sense to you?
Second, at about the 130th minute all of the audio was muted. Pictures and video footage were there also all of the title slides but no audio. I called Apple Support and since I am still qualified under Apple Care they agreed to help. First attempt was to delete the previous encoding and re-burn. that took three hours but the disc had the same problems. (At that time, neither myself not the apple tech thought about the autoplay feature, as I was most concerened about the audio problem.) After that disc failed again I called Apple Support again. This time we cleared out the autoplay function, trashed the two preference files for IDVD in the preferences folder and shutdown the computer. I started it back up by zapping the parameter ram. Option, Command, P and R buttons on start-up. I am currently re-encoding and reburning another dual layer disc. If this doesn't work, could the problem be the size of the project? Is there any way that I can take my IMovie project and split it into two sections of about an hour and fifteen minutes each then burn them through IDVD to two different discs? If this would work please tell me how to make a copy of my IMovie project and how I can split it in two. Also any other ideas anyone has would be greatly appreciated. TIA

    Hi
Can it be so that You use DL-DVDs ? They can be problematic - I only use SL-DVDs
    Else
    No audio on DVD disc.
    Most common origin.
    1. Imported audio from iTunes.
    • In iTunes copy out as an Audio-CD .aiff (Same as played on standard Stereo CD - no .mp3)
    • Use this in Your movie project
    2. Low - Free Space on Start-up/Boot/Internal/Mac OS Hard disk makes it hard for iMovie to work as intended.
Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser (iM’08 & 09)
    3. Material in iMovie’08 & 09 - Shared to Media Browser and here selected as MEDIUM (or ev. as Large)
large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provoking it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.
    Minuscular - - 176x144
    Mobile - - - - - 480x360
    Medium - - - - 640x480
    Large - - - - - - 720x540    960x540
    HD - - - - - - - - 1280x720
    4. Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
    • Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)
    5. Main audio is set to off in System Preferences - Does this by it self - Don’t know why
    Cheque Audio-Out resp. Audio-In
    6. Ed Hanna
Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies — except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format — that I have noticed.
    7. GarageBand fix.
In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
(if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
    Before burning the DVD.
    • Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
    • Double click on the .img file
    • Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
    • In iDVD 08 - or - 09
    • Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
    • OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it

  • Burn DVD, get audio but black screen and no video

Hi. I'm using iDVD 7.1.1. I exported a short movie (720p, 16:9) from Final Cut Pro (export as Quicktime movie) and stuck it in my project. It looks find when I preview it but when I burn the disk (Professional Quality encoding) I get a black screen after I click through from the menu, though I can hear the audio. Please help!!
    (I'm using a MacBook Pro i7).
    Thanks
    Mark

    Hi
    A. Try to do a DiskImage first. File and down to Save as a DiskImage - test this with DVD-tool to see that it runns OK
    B. Free space on Start-up hard disk. How much ?

  • Premier Elements 12 Cannot burn DVD Get error message of internal software failure

Cannot butn DVD with Premier Elements 12 Get error message of internal software failure.

    Great news JMD103.
There should be a big red pop-up, when one adds a Stop Marker to the end of the Timeline, saying "Do NOT do that!" That Stop Marker will almost always yield a failed Project output to DVD.
    Good luck, and happy editing,

  • Burned DVD does not produce the same result as the Encore 2.0 preview

Video captured directly into Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 from a Canon GL2 camera
Using an HP media center PC (Model M1270N)
    Pentium 4 (3.00 GHz)
    1.0 GB RAM
ATI Radeon X300SE PCI-E graphics card 128 MB DDR video memory
I purchased Adobe Creative Suite (Production Studio Premier) last month. Using Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 I produced two video
One video was 36:43 minutes. Original size was 8.35 GB, 7.9 bitrate
Second video was 37:41 minutes. Original size was 8.57 GB, 7.9 bitrate
I then brought them into Adobe Encore 2.0 and created a simple menu. Using the Preview from here button the menu and the videos had no problem. Using the Check Project button there were no errors. The disc information showed that there was 146.8 Mb free on a 4.7 GB disc after the project was transcoded.
Upon burning the DVD and putting it into a computer or a DVD player the first video played fine all the way through the second one within the last 3 minutes began skipping for the remainder of the video and then terminated as planned by going back to the menu.
Question: Is there any way to keep the last portion of the second video from skipping? I found the problem when I had sent the DVD off to a duplicator and the duplicator told us about the problem.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Kerry S.

    Hussman,
Glad that Playlists worked for you. DVD authoring can be a great learning experience, as a whole. The Encore part came pretty easy for me, but I had the help of many of the gurus in this forum, plus Jeff Belune's book, "Focal Easy Guide to EncoreDVD 2." Don't let the Encore 2 part throw you, as 95%+ of the info carries over to Encore CS3, and possibly CS4.
After the manual, Jeff's book, and the "Classroom in a Book EncoreXX," I find that just reading the posts in this forum is a big help. Almost every day I find a "wow, I didn't know you could do
    b THAT
with Encore," just by reading the stuff here.
Fortunately, my relationship with the program has been Love/Love, but maybe I've just been fortunate.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
