Burning an Audio disc from I Tunes

I have a playlist of 184 songs. When i burn an audio disc everything starts fine but it burns the 1st song then asks for another disc. It will then burn the same song over and over, no error messages. If i remove this song it goes through the initial setup and then doesnt do anything. Once again no error messages whatsoever.

Have the same issue. Tried to burn 80+ songs over multiple audio cd's. After checking playlist for 30 minutes the first disc will burn 16 songs and ask for another disc. The same 16 songs will burn and so on. One thing I did notice is the 16 songs burned were checked and not the others. The playlist goes to gray after the checking playlist takes place and this is when I notice the unchecking of all songs except for the ones that'll fit on disc one.

What kind of DVD are you trying to burn - just a music DVD? Which kind of DVD are you using, and have you tried burning using a different brand or other blank DVD?

I would recommend navigating to www.macsales.com, because they specialize in Macs they can point you to devices that should work with your computer. Please make sure you also have software for burning Bluray discs, i'd recommend Titanium Toast.

Do things in the following order:
Make the playlist you are going to burn, and open it.
Have the blank CD-R handy.
Use the command File > Burn Playlist to Disc.
When it asks you to insert a blank disc, do so.

It sounds like you have audiobooks on your computer you want to sync to your iPhone 5. You can do this in the Books tab in iTunes when you have your iPhone connected:
iTunes 11 for Mac: Add iBooks and audiobooks to iPod, iPhone, or iPad
Sync iBooks or audiobooks to your device
Connect your device to your computer and select your device in iTunes.
Click the Books button.
Do either or both of the following:
Sync iBooks: Select Sync Books, then click “All books,” or click “Selected books” and select the iBooks you want to add.
Sync audiobooks: Select Sync Audiobooks, then click “All audiobooks,” or click “Selected audiobooks” and select the audiobooks you want to add.
Click Apply.

Those videos are probably not in an iPod-friendly format. It’s picky about that. You can try converting them, if possible.
As for the audiobooks, are you sure they haven’t synced? You’ve enabled it to sync books and checked the “Audiobooks” section of your iPod?

Cannot burn a CD R from I tunes. error 4450

When I try I get the first song in the play list and at least part of the second. Then the disk ejects with two songs the properties of the disk says " used space zero, remaining space zero and last activity was 12/31/1994. I didnt even have the computer then. here is the message. it is error code 4450 and one of my drives doesnt work.

If you have multiple drives on the same IDE or SCSI bus, these drives may interfere with each other.

The last failed audio CD burn had error code 4450(0x00001162). It happened on drive E: _NEC DVD+RW ND-3100AD on CDR media at speed 32X.

After talking to Apple support for over an hour and trying everything possible, the conclusion was that the lens that copies CD/DVD's in my computer has malfunctioned (burned out) after 4 1/2 years of burning discs. The Geek Squad at Best Buy told me the same thing. Options were to have an Apple technician make a home call and possibly replace the lens (a very expensive cost) or to purchase an external CD/DVD drive compatable with Apple IMac. I bought an LG external CD/DVD drive and it works well. I can now burn CD/DVD's. Be carefull though. My first purchase was with an Apple Super USB port external unit and my IMac did not support it. It was made for IMac's made in 2012 and after. I purchased mine in 2009. I took it back to Best Buy and the Geek Squad representative said that I needed an external player/burner with a separate power source since my computer could not support the power. He was correct. My LG has a separate power cord going to a separate electricsl outlet in the wall and the connector from the unit going into a USB port in my computer. It works fine. I can burn discs from playlist.

If you've downloaded it on your iPad then it should be in the Music app (and similarly for audiobooks that you sync from your computer's iTunes) - when you have audiobooks on an iPad you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading), so you may want to copy it from your iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of it - it should copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library.

No audio except from i tunes

I am not able to get any audio out from any source other than i tunes. everything had been working perfectly, then all of a sudden, nothing. mute is not on, volume is up. however, music and video in i tunes plays perfectly. Anybody heard of anything like this before?

For the past week the audio from my browsers (Safari, Firefox, Netscape) was redirected to Bluetooth - even when no bluetooth device was connected. I have no idea how this happened. iTunes, alerts, etc., all worked fine through the internal speakers.
When I tried to play audio content with the browsers, for example by viewing YouTube videos, I would get an alert box saying "Bluetooth Device Unavailable". If I "paired" my bluetooth headset the sound they only played the sound from the browsers. With the headset paired I could redirect alerts or iTunes output back and forth between the headset and the speakers but nothing I did using System Preferences would fix the browser sound problem.
Other user accounts on my machine worked perfectly and did not have this problem so I concentrated on user-specific files, rather than system files. I erased all cache files and even preferences from the problem user account (Note: Do not do this unless you are prepared to reset all of your preferences such as mail accounts, etc.) Even after clearing these files the problem remained on the one user account.
I was starting to doubt my sanity - then I found this thread.
Running Garage Band as *Baby Boomer* recommended in this thread fixed the problem. (Thank you, Baby Boomer!)
I am posting this in case the information about the apparent involvement of the Bluetooth system helps someone get to the bottom of this.

Cannot burn CD-R disc from iTunes?

Laptop rejects blank Sony CD-R disc. I am trying to burn a playlist from iTunes. When I insert a blank disc, it turns and churns and then ejects. Occaisionally it will burn, more often than not it ejects. Any suggestions. I have tried speeds: 6x and 4x.

I'm having a similar problem. When I right-click on the playlist I want to burn and choose burn to disc, iTunes asks me to insert a blank disc. It asks this whether there's already a disc in disc drive or not. Then I get a pop up message asking me to go to the file menu >burn playlist to disc. I click "ok" on the pop up message and try to do what it asks and that choice, "burn playlist to disc" is not an option in the file menu although it is when there's no disc in my drive.
The strange thing is that I'm able to burn a disc from my desktop by creating a burn folder and right-clicking on the songs I want to burn, but not from iTunes.
I'm using iTunes 11.3 and Mac OS X 10.6.8.
Anyone know what the problem might be?

Connect it to iTunes, select the device in the device list in iTunes, select the audiobook from the various sync options and sync.

iTunes Match is for more music only. Audiobooks are a one-time only download from the store, so if you want them on your iPhone then you will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to your computer, and you can then sync them to your phone.
