Burning audio from a purchased video onto CD

I could not find if this question has been answered. I purchased a video on iTunes today (because the audio was not available), and am unable to burn just the audio to a audio CD. Is there a way to just extract the audio without holding a mic up to the speakers?
Thanks
Jeff

Try using a utility such as Audio Hijack or Wiretap.

  • Audio from Flash CS3 Video overlapping

    audio from Flash CS3 Video overlapping
    help stopping the FLVPlayback instance (which has an instance
    name of theVideo) when another button is clicked!
    How do I stop flv playback when user clicks a navigation
    button ...
    Excuse me in advance for asking about a topic that may be
    very popular!
    I'm using the attached code to go from the main stage to one
    subset of .swf files (loaded movies) and I apparently have no
    problems with overlapping. Hell, the files even seem to unload
    themselves correctly. Then, when I go to my second subset of .swf
    files (with the exact same AS3 structure), which has a Flash Video
    file (made by the FLV Playback component), I get into an
    overlapping problem associated with the audio.
    How can I stop, cancel, or unload the audio when the file is
    clicked away from (the user selects another button on the main
    stage)?
    Code attached. Please let me know if anything else is needed.
    Yours Sincerely,
    Jntspecialty

    I have tried to clean up code and do this right.
    I need help referencing (storing the value in the variable
    "stopsoundoverlapReq") the "flvplayback instance AFTER theVideo is
    instantiated (ie, the frame that contains theVideo has rendered)"
    correctly.
    Also, now I need help with the name of my nav bar button's
    method followed by parentheses, which should include the
    appropriate method parameter.
    On my main timeline, I tried to clean up the code and use:
    var stopsoundoverlapReq:FLVPlayback =
    stop("videopage.swf/MovieClip(ldr.content).theVideo");
    Then for my nav bar button on this same timeline use:
    any_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, stopsoundoverlap);
    function stopsoundoverlap(event:MouseEvent):void
    stopsoundoverlap.stop(stopsoundoverlapReq);
    The 3 errors I get now are :
    1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant:
    FLVPlayback. var stopsoundoverlapReq:FLVPlayback =
    stop("videopage.swf/MovieClip(ldr.content).theVideo");
    1061: Call to a possibly undefined method stop through a
    reference with static type Function.
    stopsoundoverlap.stop(stopsoundoverlapReq);
    1137: Incorrect number of arguments. Expected no more than 0.
    var stopsoundoverlapReq:FLVPlayback =
    stop("videopage.swf/MovieClip(ldr.content).theVideo");

    I Want To Transmit Audio from Mic and Video from WebCam on Another Computer. I have used AVTransmit2.java file and AVReceive2.java file for Transmission and Receiving but They Transmit Only Video On Another Computer on a network without any error. Any One Help me How Can i Transmit both Audio & Video at the Same time ????????
    i m using This Command for Transmittion
    java AVTransmit2 vfw://0 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.2 10000
    and this Command For Receiving
    java AVReceive2 192.168.0.1/10000 192.168.0.2/ 10002

    Excuse me foro my bad English but I speak English like Tarzan.
    To trasmit both video and audio I created a MergingDataSource wich incorporates video and audio data sources. Then I created a Processor with this DataSource and a RTPManager for each track of the processor. It works.

  • How do I route audio from a YouTube video to AU Lab using SoundFlower so that I can capture the YouTube video's sound stream?

    How do I route audio from a YouTube video to AU Lab using SoundFlower so that I can capture the YouTube video's sound stream?

    Attach camera via USB or put card in card reader.
    Go to FCP, and go to the Log and TRANSFER window.
    If FCP recognizes the card, you will see your clips listed on the left.
    You can view them, set Ins and Outs, and import just what you want.
    Once you choose a section of video and import it, FCP converts (transcodes) from its original camera format to Apple ProRes422 - a more edit friendly video file.

    How do you convert the audio from a mpeg4 video file to mp3 format?

    Probably the easiest way to do this is to download a free media convertor. Most will be able to convert video into audio files.

  • Burning Audio from iTunes video albums

    can you just burn audio cds from videos purchased from itunes? i recently purchased the U2 and Mary J. Blige version of One and wanted to add the audio to a mix cd.

    You don't need a mic for that or any kind of hardware - But as Mac user I'm only aware of "Audio Hijack" - sorry

  • Can you extract the audio from a music video?

    Some of my favorite songs were purchased from Itunes as music videos. (Because they are also my favorite videos.) Now I'm trying to figure out how to move those songs to the iPod +without having to buy the songs as just songs!+ It's been very frustrating. "Create iPod or iPhone version" doesn't convert to anything useful for a Shuffle. How do I extract the audio from the video?
    Or do I have to buy the same music over again?

    Hello RoyFeni,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
    Can you change the music video's *Media Type* to Music from under the Options tab of the *Get Info* window for the track in iTunes?
    I'm not sure if you can, but hey its at least worth a try. It's all I have though.
    Otherwise, this is not possible via iTunes. The only way you would be able to extract the audio is through the help of some third party application. Not sure how simple or complicated the process is.

  • Burned CDs from iTunes purchases play in some stereo units and not others

    My car stereo has no problems playing CDs I've recently burned from itunes purchases. My wife's car stereo can't! She doesn't have an ipod dock in her 9 year old car so it's CDs or nothing. Anyone have any ideas why the discs won't play in her car but do play on every other CD player (including my PC) that we own?
    Her car stereo has no issues playing other CDs, including CDs I've burned from itunes which were originally uploaded from CDs by me.
    It seems to be the most recent three purchases from itunes that are the problem. Do I need to convert the AAC files back to MP3 before burning or some other clever cheat?
    Thnx in advance

    Thnx for the comments Chris CA.
    Yes, Audio CD is selected when I burn the CDs.

  • Cp6.. Audio from FLV Slide Video keeps playing

    I have a project with several slides in a row that have flv videos with audio.  I used the multi-slide/sync video.. not event video to install the video on each slide.  Here's the problem:
    Say I'm watching /listening to the video on slide 1, when I use the playbar to advance to slide 2,  the audio thats attached to the video on slide 1 continues to play, and the video on slide 2 also starts.   So, I'm watching the video on slide 2 but hearing the audio from video 1 and video 2.  This does not occur when with mp4 videos.   I am using a standard playbar.  This does not happen in CP5.5 with the same project.  Any Ideas?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your replies.
    Nimmy, Yes, I did have transitions applied.  Changing to “No Transition” did resolve the issue.  This was one of a series of  Captivate 5.0 projects I’m updating.   I just confirmed that the second one in series had the same issue when updated in Captivate 6.  Again,  changing to “No Transitions” resolved the issue.  I also, opened both of these projects in Captivate 5.5 and republished – the transitions work perfectly in Captivate 5.5.
    Vikram, this issue occurred on a Win 7 PC,  the videos are not split across separate slides, as reported above, I can duplicate the issue across several projects now.   I did try different FLV.  I was incorrect in my original post about MP4’s not having the same issue.   The project with the MP4 videos did not use transitions.  When I applied a transition,  the same issue occurred.
    This is one of several Captivate 6 issues that’s causing me to reconsider using it.    It has several new features I’d like to use but its eating up a ton of time, none of which is billable.    I’d suggest that if you can… create/publish any new projects in Captivate 5.5 then open in Captivate 6.  If everything works as expected great.  Otherwise, you have a fallback position in Captivate 5.

    There are several sw applications for the PC you can use to get the audio from the video file.
    You can use an encoder like www.imtoo.com 3gp encoder.
    You could use SUPER (freeware video encoder)
    Lastly if you have an audio recorder app in your pc you could just play the video and record the audio in your recorder application.
    There are just many ways to do this.
    640K Should be enough for everybody

  • No audio from mpg1 muxed videos

    After upgrading to 7.1.6, all of a sudden I can't hear the mpg 1 muxed audio from within Quicktime Pro. I know I can't edit, etc. until I have converted, but I just plain can't hear the audio when played in Quicktime. I played the same video on another computer with the upgrade and it works fine. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply. My Audio Midi Setup Output is grayed out with a message that Output is not supported. Since I use Soundtrack pro and Peak for my audio editing, etc. I uninstalled Garage Band.
    Also, every previous mpg1 that I know played with audio, does not now play the audio, only video. It's not only one. I gave one of the files to a colleague and it plays just fine on his exact same laptop. Other than he doesn't use Quicktime Pro. ????
    All of a sudden something is keeping Quicktime from playing the audio on all muxed mpg1 files.
    Thanks again for ANY help.

  • HT1689 How do I get my downloaded music purchases from my 'purchases' page onto my Ipod?

    I have never had trouble downloading songs from itunes and placing them on my ipod, previously the download would show up and then I could either drag the song over to a link to my ipod or follow some prompts to get it there. Now with updated itunes I cannot find any way to take the music from the purchases page and put it onto my ipod...most frustrating! Cannot find any sort of straight forward direction for it, can anyone help? Thanks. Not sure what operating system it is, this is new to me also? How can I find this out? when I opened itunes on my desktop I just followed the prompt to update it..working off a Microsoft XP 2002 home edition if that is any use...

    The tracks may not come in with the correct title, so you may need to look for the tracks as something like "untitled" and then edit the titles. Go to the Songs view and click the Date Added header to sort by that column. If the little triangle is pointing upwards, click the header again so that it sorts with the most recently added items first.
    If you still don't see the tracks, make sure that the tracks are in a format iTunes can accept:  AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless and, if you're on a Windows system, WMA.
    Regards.

  • Burn Audio Only from iTunes Purchased Videos

    I was thinking about buying the Green Day video album, but would like to burn the audio to a CD for the car. Anyone know of a way to do this, other than Audio Hijack? I seems to me Apple should have built this into iTunes somewhere.

    There is no other way than using an application like Hijack.
