Burning cd's on creative mediasou

Can someone offer an easy explanation? My eyes are starting to bleed from reading so many tutorials!? I have downloaded all of my cd's into creative mediasource. But now when I attempt to transfer an album onto my mp3 or burn an mp3 cd, the cd tracks change from original to alphabetical. I cannot figure out how to stop this. Please any help will be greatly appreciated.

An MP3 CD merely contains the MP3 files. The notion of track order does not apply to a list of MP3 files. You can choose to view the MP3 files in any sorting order. For example, you can sort by file name, file date, track number, etc. To sort by track number, just view the track number column in Windows Explorer and then click on the Track Number column header to sort.

HELP PROBLEM WITH CREATIVE MEDIASOU

Please help me, my creatvie mediasource for the Zen Micro is not working it comes up with 'This application has failed to start because CTIntrfc.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem' Oh and have i tried re installing it....YES LILKE 0000000 TIMES. i have uninstalled it then reinstalled it but still when i restart my computer it comes up with 'unable to find needed components'

Your MediaSource is not installed properly. <FONT face=Helv size=2>Here is what you should do:
- Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2 from your product download site. Make sure that you install this first before installing the rest of the MediaSource plugins listed below.
- (Depending on your product and firmware)
For non-PlaysForSure Zen Micro: Download and install the latest Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.20 for Creative MediaSource from your product download site.

For PlaysForSure Zen Micro: Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices (version .00.8) from your product download site.
- If it is listed for your product: Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Plugin for CD Burner 3.0.8 from your product download site

Burn List Missing in Creative Media Sou

I reinstalled my OS and SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Patinum with the latest updates. I saved my burn list that I used for my previous installation on another partition and now I can not get CMS to recognize it. I know it's there I can view the folder and contents but CMS will not open it when I try to open the burn list with it. I know that before I reinstalled only CMS 3.30.2 would open it so I have both versions installed now 5.0.38 and 3.30.2. Neither will open the burn list. Anyone have an idea how to get CMS to open the burn list. Everything is up to date. The extensions for the files in the burn list folder are .EBL or .MDB.

Jeez the response is overwhelming. So anyway I created a new burn list and found the directory that the file was saved, in. C:/documents and settings/user/applications/creative/burn cd. So I copied the files from my saved burn list to it and when I opened CMS I was able to get all of the burn list titles to be displayed in the burn list title box. But when I selected a title from the list none of the tracks included with the list would be displayed only the title of the list. Any ideas, anyone?

ID3 Tags in Creative MediaSou

Is there any way I can convert the tags in my Creative MediaSource library to the ID3 tags in the mp3s themselves? I've spent a whole lot of time tagging thousands of songs in MediaSource, but they can't be played in any other players since they don't have ID3 tags. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.

Try selecting all of them in Media Source and then right click on the selection. I thought there was an update ID3 tag or similar option there. I know I have used Media Source to tag my files before. I will take a look when I get home again and see how I did it.

Transfer music from WMPlayer to Creative MediaSou

The initial setup of the Creative MediaSource Organizer allows for an option to transfer files from the Windows Media Player to the Creative Organizer. During this process, I had an error and had to close the Organizer.
Is there an option to transfer these files now that I have the Creative Organizer loaded, or is my only option to remove the Organizer and reload it's
There must be an easier way!

If you know the directory where you store your music files, you can just add the files to MediaSource's PC Music Library.

Where are the FOLDERS? Creative MediaSou

I bought muvo v200 and get Creative MediaSource Organizer but...there is always but...
First----I read all post regarding to this problem but now one have describe problem in detail so I?ll try to do that.
I am downloading all my music with Azureus and all my songs came to my disk as specified folders so I want to be able to put that folders into v200 from "my playlist" option in Creative MediaSource Organizer.
I want to add downloaded songs from that folder into playlist(ok that can do) , edit them (this too) and then put them on my v200 as folders, NOT in alphabetical order WITHOUT folders. I have a huge amount of songs begin with A A2 B2 -sides and position on vinyl. So when I move them to my v200 it all mixed up. I don?t want to use drag and drop option to achieve this because Azureus make at beginning of downloading complete folder and files, even though these files are not completed, so I want to move complete folders to my playlist and then move them AS FOLDERS to v200 ( I don?t want to make a double copy on my hard for downloaded folders and then do transferring-it will waist my Gigabytes ). So main problem is FOLDERS FROM PLAYLIST TO v200. If this is impossible I don?t understand what is worth having a folder function on v200 if Creative MediaSource Organizer can't make them when transferring.
AND
Is there sync function v200 with PLAYLIST. I delete some songs from player so when I connect it back I want that song delete from my playlist too ( it will be very hard if I have to do it manually).
I hope that these function with folder and synchronization are possible because it'sll be huge mistake for big company as CREATIVE not to make them. (maybe upgrade soon please)
or some other program !!!!!!!

I'm 99% sure you can't do it. Perhaps someone else can confirm.

How to show Chinese (two-byte) in Creative MediaSou

Need Help:
I got buch Chinese mp3 with chinese characters as file name/track name. Creative MediaSource 2.03.29 will not show Chinese characters, only codes. I was forced to use MS media player, which shown proper characters.
Anyone got idea how to get it works with two bytes chinese big-5 code?

HomeAustin,
Change your Regional langauge setting in Control Panel to support Chinese PRC. That should have MediaSource displaying the lanaguage.

Converting from WAV to MP3 using Creative MediaSou

I am trying to convert from WAV to MP3 using Creative Media Source Version 3.30.35. The program says it is converting the file to MP3 but when it has finished and I examine the properties it still says the file format is WAV. Can anyone shed any light on this, thanks?

It doesn't change the original file - it creates a new file in the new format. Check where your file destination is set to in the Audio Converter screen.

Can't install Creative MediaSou

I went to the download the new Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2 so that I could add Album Art to my Zen Vision. The Creative MediaSource I got currently is the old one. So I went to download the new one. But when I start the installation the window minimizes and I can't get it back on again. I went to the Task Manager and said that the installation is not responding.
How do I install Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2 properly?

I had this problem, and followed the advice given by the FAQ's etc. Didn't work. However, as I had to update Spyware Doctor I turned that off alone. Tried the update and it worked!
Oddly, previously using msconfig I had turned everything off and it didn't work then. PC's you got to love them.

Problems Burning Audio CD with Creative Mediasourc

I keep getting the same error message every time I try to burn an audio CD:
CD burner: "There is not enough disc space to perform this operation"
I have over 2.5 GB of space on C:\dri've. Even if I try to burn just one track I get the same error message. I've checked the CD and it is blank.
Has anyone else had this message? How can I get MediaSource to burn CDs?

Problem Solved! I'd accidentally tried using a blank DVD rather than CD. I think the error message would have been more helpful if it had said something like "Incompatible Media - Please insert a blank CD".

My Daughter can't use her MP3-player, because the music library from doesn't work. I have to install Jet Engine 4.0 SP3 or higher. But now I don't know which version I have to install
for W98se and the file msjet40.dll has version 4.00 252.8.
Who can help me, because I don't want to ruin my computer.

The above repair tool has fixed the problem of MediaSource's corrupted database problem for many users. You may want to try it. Let me know whether it works for you.

Can WMA files be burned into Cd format using Creative Media Sour

If so - using what version. I have recently had to "back track" my instsallation to version 00.2 in order to get everything to run properly. But this version does not support conversion of WMA files to the cda foramt.

Version 00.2?? I have version 3.30.2. Where did you got the 00 version form??I am sure the version 3.30 supports conversion from wma to cda format. Otherwise, use Windows Media Player, or the Creative Audio Converter to convert from wma to mp3, then burn those mp3 with Creative Media Source. To get Creative Media Source 3.30.2 go to the Downloads page and search for it. It is free, the same as Windows Media Player.

Problems burning cds with Creative Media Sou

Hello,
Everytime I try to burn a CD with Creative Media Source it says "No supported CD recorder device is found". Can anyone explain to me what this actually means? Does this mean Media Source is not recognising my CD dri've? I can burn CDs successfully using other programs.

Your dri've may be a model that's not supported by MediaSource burner engine. See this Knowledgebase article SID5364 and follow the steps mention in the article to update your MediaSource burner engine.

Whenever I unplug my headphones from the front I/O Panel the PC will reboot by itself !Problem does not occur when plugging headphones in, only when unplugging. I never used to have this problem and it only occured after last driver update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have similar problems, not only on the front panel either. Basically many power spikes will rattle the card and cause all sorts of problems including the one you mentioned. Advice- power down before connecting or disconnecting anything.

Soundblaster Connect and Windows Media Pla

I am delighted with Creatives Soundblaster Connect, but here's my problem. I can Rip, Burn, and record from Cassette tapes as normal on Creative,?all tunes etc are?duplicated on Windows media Player. whilst I can Play and Burn tunes OK on Creative, I suffer a -2 sec "Hiccup" when listening and burning CDs on Windows Media Player, has anyone had this problem? or perhaps can suggest a cure, or does Mr Gates, dislike Creative!! no. it doesn't. I have just bought one and tried the same thing. The spec says it plays mp3 320kbit files.
