Burning CDs from music in my PC Music Libr
I cannot figure out how to burn CDs for use in my car and home from music that I transferred to my PC Music Library. When I try to select songs from the library in the source view and drop them into the dri've for my PCs CD-burner, it says that I am not allowed to do this? Can anyone please provide some guidance?
MediaSource has a BurnCD module for some of the products. Click the button at bottom right corner of MediaSource to display a destination panel. Click the dropdown header of the destination panel to see whether a BurnCD module is available. If so, you can burn Audio CD and MP3 CD.

I can no longer burn CDs from my iTunes (Macintosh) playlists. The songs are now formatted as m4a, which might be making them unreadable by my CDs, although this never used to happen before. Can you help? Thanks very much.
After you select Burn, you need to select AudioCD in the pop-up window.

Cannot burn cds from itunes purchased cds or itunes playlists
Hi Queenv77,
Whether or not the track infomation shows up on a burned CD depends on if you are creating an Audio CD or an MP3 CD; track information is not available on audio CDs. The following articles have more information regarding burning CDs from iTunes:

Why cant i burn cds from icloud?
why can't i burn cds from itunes in the cloud?
If you mean from iTunes Match without having them on your hard drive, then that's because they aren't on your hard drive.

Burning CDs from playlist problem
I have tried to burn CDs from my Itunes playlist, but all I am getting is a disc for each song with the MusicMatch logo, track number and a 1KB...I have tried to uninstall MusicMatch to no avail. And even before I got Itunes, I could not access MusicMatch. Is there a conflict between the two causing the problem? As a matter of fact I can't burn anything even using Sonic and Nero. Help!
If I'm guessing correctly, you've successfully burned an Audio CD. Use a program taht reads Audio CDs (iTunes, MusicMatch, Windows Media Player, etc.), and you'll be fine.

When I burn CDs from Itunes, and rip them to my other PC, the track names and other info dont transfer? How can I resolve this issue?
If you want track names to display when you're playing a cd, go to Preferences > Advanced > Burning > Check Include Cd Text. I don't believe these info will carry over if you created a MIX cd, however. If it's just a copy of a commercial cd and such, it may find it, however.

Cannot burn CD from itunes.
The thing is, they are in the unprotected format? (
They are protected WMA from when you RIP'd them with WMP. iTunes will not read them.
Go to WMP Tools -> Rip Music.
Under Rip settings, it is set to *Windows Media Audio* and most likely *Copy protect music* is ticked. This is how it is protected.
You will need to reRIP them all from CD. -

Got this weird problem that I havent come across in any other postings. When I try and burn a cd from iTunes it completes burning apparently ok. But when I test back the cd all the track points have slipped so they're not at the start of each tune as they should be. It even cuts off a fraction of the first tune. This must corrupt the cd in a way as altho it plays okay on PC it doesnt play on my hifi cd player anymore, which it used to do. When I say used to, the only difference i can think of is that I have my itunes library on an external drive now (as you can see from my diagnostics). I burned cds fine when the library was on my c drive. Maybe this is coincidence, I dont know. If this is the problem how i can get mend it? Thanks.

Burning CDs from iPod playlist
Hi, I want to be able to drag songs from my iPod playlists into the library stored in my computer, so that I can burn CDs. It won't let me drag them... help!
I want to be able to drag songs from my iPod playlists into the library stored in my computer
Do you mean from library to your playlist, right?
Try to create a new playlist (not smart playlist), open iTunes ->Files-> New playlist. Then drag the songs from the library to the new playlist -
When I burn an album, how come the entire iPhoto LIbrary burns onto the CD when I click on just the album?
imac Mac OS X (10.4.7)Sorry I wasn't clear, and thanks for all the assistance. It really ought not to be this difficult to put photos on a CD which you can then show to others on your TV instead of having them stand and line up behind your computer to watch.
What I tried to do was to select a group of photos from our recent trip and put those in a separate album in iPhoto. Then I tried copying that album to a new folder on the destop using Finder. Then I tried burning those pictures onto a CD-R. It went through the burn process with verification, but the CD disc did not eject itself at the end as it does when you burn a CD directly from iPhoto. So I'm not sure if the burn process completed itself properly or if I should have copied to "New Burn Folder" instead of "New Folder".
At any rate, I then manually ejected the disc, and took it to my CD player, which I bought specifically to play jpeg pictures
(and it has done so with other CD's which I burned directly from iPhoto --- but these come out with all 3 copies of each pictures and therefore require mulitple discs --- and that's the problem I'm trying to cope with and avoid by making a separate folder elsewhere). The CD player showed an error message onscreen which said the disc could not be read. I then tried to see if the Mac could read it and play the pictures, and the iMac couldn't read the disc either.
So back to square one: how do I successfully copy only the edited pictures that I select as being the "best" and avoid all the duplicates on the disc. In this case, I only wanted 110 pictures, and got 2 discs with 330 pictures by copying directly from iPhoto, but I'm not going to subject family to 330 pictures at a sitting. -
Burning CDs that store large amounts of music
Hi, could someone help me?
I know someone who has Windows XP and has a bunch of CDs that he plays in his car, and these CDs have a lot of songs on them, around 50-100 tracks.
Is it possible for me to burn a CD with iTunes that plays 50-100 songs? Is it something to do with the formats? Please help. Thanks.
PowerPC G4 Mac OS X (10.3.9)Amy,
Converting your current tracks will give you duplicates as you say. However you can always delete these quite easily by adding the Kind column to your Library view then sorting your tracks to segregate MP3 and AAC. You can burn your MP3 CD and delete the tracks afterwards. To add Kind, right click at the top of any Library column and choose Kind from the list. Use a smart playlist to gather up the MP3s by giving it the rule "Kind" is "MPEG audio file". -
Burning CDs from iTunes Playlist
After the burning process is complete and I test the burnt Cd for playback; I get the message "you have inserted a blank disc" I am using blank audio cds that have been ok in the recent past. Can anyone help please?
You will probably want to check out the following:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60784
It should answer most of your questions very thoroughly.
With regard to your question about the iTMS music contained on the audio CD, the DRM is removed when you burn purchased/protected content to audio CD. You are limited in terms of how many times you can burn the same playlist when purchased/protected content is part of it, etc. -
Cant burn cds from my itunes library
I recently moved itunes from one cpu to another using a flash drive. Everything was working well including me burning a cd of my favorite music. But now its telling me when I try to burn a cd that disc recordings not found. Someone please help!!!
No. It sounds like you are burning a data disc which is the MP3 files. When you select burn it comes up and asks you want you want to burn the disc as, audio or data. Select AUDIO to burn a traditional CD to be played in your car, cd player, etc.
Set it as default to AUDIO CD.
iTunes prefs -> Advanced - Burning.
Set it to Audio CD.
Create a plylist with the songs you want.
Click Burn. -
Burning CDs from Playlist causes problem
Whenever I burn a CD from a playlist, I get a Windows error window in my application bar but it really doesn't display and the cursor changes to an hourglass that's spinning. The only way to fix the cursor is to reboot.
Anyone else have this problem? I've had it for the last couple of itunes software iterations including the latest, 7.0.2
Thanks very much for your helpIf I'm guessing correctly, you've successfully burned an Audio CD. Use a program taht reads Audio CDs (iTunes, MusicMatch, Windows Media Player, etc.), and you'll be fine.

Burned CDs from iTunes purchases play in some stereo units and not others
My car stereo has no problems playing CDs I've recently burned from itunes purchases. My wife's car stereo can't! She doesn't have an ipod dock in her 9 year old car so it's CDs or nothing. Anyone have any ideas why the discs won't play in her car but do play on every other CD player (including my PC) that we own?
Her car stereo has no issues playing other CDs, including CDs I've burned from itunes which were originally uploaded from CDs by me.
It seems to be the most recent three purchases from itunes that are the problem. Do I need to convert the AAC files back to MP3 before burning or some other clever cheat?
Thnx in advanceThnx for the comments Chris CA.
Yes, Audio CD is selected when I burn the CDs.
