Burning extra copies of a FCP 7 shared through Compressor 3.5

As has been posted before by others using FCP 7 & Compressor 3.5, I don't want to go to Toast 10 to duplicate an existing FCP 7 project (with the 3.5 menu using your own still image) as I don't want to use the Toast menus.
Once I have shared a FCP 7 project via Compressor and burned the discs, and now want to burn a couple of extra copies, can I shortcut the process by somehow jumping to the "create a disc" step rather than having to re-encode the project again . . . this recreation takes a lot of time!!

I'll have to tell you I don't have much experience with compressor, I've been using Episode to transcode my DVD files and Encore to author my DVD's and I am just getting started with burning Blu-ray. But I would think you could simply burn a Blu-ray disc image to your hard drive from within compressor and then even use toast if you want to turn make additional copies. Is that perceivable?

Am I missing something but it seems you can't send a fcp project to compressor 3.5 via the "send to" option as there isn't any appropriate settings for blu ray, only HD DVD.
But you can through the share option. Is that the case or am I just getting too old for all this new high tech stuff??

Do I need to get a separate program to burn multiples copies of a DVD on Mac?

Do I need to get a separate program to burn multiples copies of a DVD on Mac, and not have the copies separate into AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS? I made a series of lesson plans on iMovie. When it opens on the original disk, it goes right to my music and intro menu. When I try to burn it to a new DVD, it shows up as AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. It does not open at all. Please advise.

Does the disk image that you created from the previously burned iDVD project look like this?
If so you don't copy any part of it to a blank DVD. You open Disk Utility and select it like I do in this screenshot:
insert a blank DVD and click on the Burn button.

Does anyone know how to delete the extra copies of Books in Digital Editions.

I have Adobe Digital Editions but I have multilple copies on the computer Adobe Bookshelf.
I can't seem to find a way to delete the extra copies with out deleting the one good copy on my Sony E-Reader.

Burning multiple copies of a project

Don't mean to ask a stupid question, but here goes.
After I build and format my first copy of a project, all subsequent copies get a message saying that a VIDEO_TS directory of this project already exists. Choosing Reuse will reuse as much of the current VIDEO_TS contents as possible.
Is this normal? By resuing am I getting a DVD with less data than the original?
I must not understand the process involved. Any help out there??

What is the difference in burning a TS folder in TOAST or saving in .img and using DiskUtility to burn many DVD ?
I have many copies to burn, what is the best workflow ? The TS folder in Toast ( I have vesrion 5.2.3) or format in .img and use DiskUtility to burn ?
When burning multiple copies it is preferred to burn from an disc image file, which you could do with either Toast 5.2.3 or Disk Utility. What's vital is that the image file is UDF format.
Burning a VIDEO_TS with Toast 5.2.3 is prone to error because you have to use the DVD format in the Other tab, click New Disc, add the VIDEO_TS, create an empty AUDIO_TS and then click the burn button. And don't open the VIDEO_TS folder in the Finder before burning because that adds some invisible directory files that could affect the ability of the DVD to be playable. (Toast 6 and 7 automatically remove those files if present).
By the way, Toast 6 and 7 added the ability to select the quantity of discs you want burned.

I need to burn multiple copies of a data CD (50). Dragging to a burn folder each time is tedious... is there a way I can enter the number of CDs to burn and then mindlessly feed blank CDs into the (external) burner?

Well, not quite mindlessly ....
A bit easier process would be to use Disk Utility to create a DVD/CD Master image of the folder you want to burn to CD. Then use Disk Utility to repeatedly burn the CDs. But you will still have to initiate each burn; there's no batch function and of course you have to manually feed the blank CDs into your iMac.
In Disk Utility, do File > New > Disk Image from Folder. Select the folder you want to image, then select Image Format = DVD/CD Master. This will give you a .cdr file. Then, still in Disk Utility,, select the .cdr file from the list of disks and click the Burn button.

Unless I'm misunderstanding, you actually do want DVDSP to Format every time. In DVDSP jargon, Format is the writing of a Build to disc - either optical media or, as Jon mentions, to a hard drive image.
What you don't want it to do is Build (or Build/Format) every single time. Build your DVD once, then Format (aka Command-F) every single time after that.
(I recommend Build first - without Formating - because I like to open the folder I've built to in OS X's DVD Player and confirm that all my functionality is correct. What is the standard rate for ordering extra copies of a Photobook?

I will be shooting a wedding in the coming months, and as a part of their package they are ordering a Photobook, which I will make through iPhoto/Aperture.
The couple are looking to order extra copies of this Photobook, and would like to know how much the extra copies will cost?
Can anyone tell me the standard rate for ordering extra copies of Photobooks.
If a general rate does not apply, can someone give me the cost of an extra copy of a standard 20-page book?

You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

A 2nd CD burner - able to burn 2 copies of same CD at once, with iTunes?

I'm burning a lot of audio CDs and CD-RWs (music I've bought, and organised myself, for DJing).
The organising and burning process can eat up a day quite easily, so I'm looking for ways to speed up the process.
If I install a second CD burner in my 2009 8-core Mac Pro, will I be able to burn two copies of the same CD in iTunes simultaneously?
I've never had two CD burners in or attached to a Mac i've used, so Im not sure if iTunes will recognise the second burner and allow me to make several copies at once (I make two copies of each CD, so that I can mix between the two).
Burning CD-RWs (which I use for recent songs/tracks, while I get to know them and decide thoroughly where abouts they belong in my CD wallet), can take up to 12mins per CD.
When you're burning up to 20 CD-RWs in a day, you can understand how it can start to chew through time.
Please speak up if you can give me any advice : )

If this is the case, are there any internal CD burners that are recommended over others?
Or should I go for an external burner, and leave my second drive free for installing another HD in, at a later point?

Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.
