Burning images to a CD

This might be a dumb question but how do you copy images on to a CD? It was easy in iPhoto but I can't find the steps in Aperture. Many thanks

You'll need to export the files to a Folder on the desktop and burn that with the Finder. Or, if you're content with the quality of your Previews, drag from the Aperture Window to a folder on the desktop and so on.

    Hi,
Can you please tell us your operating system and why you want to burn them to CD.
For example, on a Windows system, if you just want to save a copy of the images to CD then you could use the organizer. Select the images you want to copy, go to the File menu and select Copy/Move to Removable Drive. Do NOT check the Move option as this would the remove the images from the hard drive.

  • Burned Image on screen, but only when using Safari

I have a burned image on my IPhone's screen, but only when I use Safari. Additionally, when I open Safari's multiple window viewer feature, the image is there as well. The home screen and every other app is unaffected. Turning off and on the phone does nothing to fix the problem.
I know removing the casing and battery is an adventure, so I am trying to avoid it if I can.
Can anyone think of a way to fix this problem?
    Thanks for the help.

    Troubleshoot Safari extensions ..
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

  • Burning Images on CD

Does Lightroom offer the option to Burn images on CD or DVD and thus save them against the event of a hard disk or a
    system crash?????

    Yes it does.
Select the files you want to burn and choose File > Export. In the Export dialog select CD/DVD from the top dropdown menu.
Set  all other options as desired. If the original file are what you want to burn and not derivative versions then be sure to select Original in File Setting Section.

  • ""Burn image" or "Burn CD iso image""

How can I "Burn image" or "Burn CD iso image" in my MB? I cant find the option, Im whiling to run linux as a "live CD" for a computing project, any help will be apreciated.
    thanks

Sounds like you need some virtualization software. There are paid and free ones. If you have free time and know your way around, qemu has an osx port located http://www.kberg.ch/qemu/ . Although the website is down now, there is Q from http://www.kju-app.org/
Parallels is the paid one I heard of. You can search the web for others too. As for booting the livecd, I think holding the 'c' key while booting should allow to choose to boot from cdrom. Not 100% sure on that though.
If you have an iso file, open it with Disk Utility, select the image on the left panel if it hasnt been selected and from the top menu find Burn.

  • Is there a way to burn images in a specific project with a certain star rating directly to a disc?

I want to burn all the one-starred images in a project to a disc, and was wondering if there is a way to do it directly from Aperture, instead of having to export them to a file, and then burn them to the disc.  Also, when I do this, shots from multiple cameras with different images series numbers get out of order.  I want them to be cronological, as they are in Aperture.

Sorry, no, you cannot burn directly from Aperture without exporting.
However, you can define an Automator workflow, so that you do it more easily from within Aperture:
Open Automator and create a service to receive "no input" in Aperture
Drag an "Find Image Versions in Aperture" Action into the Workflow, set to Rating is equal "1"
    Add an "Export Versions" Action
Add an Burn on DIsk Action.
Install the Service in your Library in the "Services" folder
Then you will be able to activate the Service from the Aperture -> Services menu.
To order CD chronologically, export with an export name format "Image Date -Time".

  • Encore CS3 crash when i click Build (SWF, BluRay, DVD Burn/Image/Folder) or Check project

So I'm finally done with my DVD. Now i want this burned to a dvd or make an image file. Each time i hit BUILD or START (Check proj) the program quits and I'm left with the normal OS X message: The application Adobe Encore quit unexpectedly >> Ignore - Report... - Relaunch
My DVD is not that fancy but i got a menu with 3 buttons made in PS with a pointer highlight and a animating background made in After Effects (using dynamic link) with some music. All of the buttons link to After effects comps with dynamic link. All of the after effects compositions are transcoded and works within the DVD preview (except the DVD menu background wont play, and i got a feeling it will play when i export an image or DVD). And all the After Effects comps links back 2 the menu when done. So there should be no error in the project flowchart.
    My flowchart: http://www3.sqr.no/index.php/get/64a267e640fddd15128d082abb72e3d92a3aedf680aabe20995beb7e e10ae32f
    (small jpg file)
So i hit build and Encore quits, shut down, finada (Every time!). No matter what out put settings i use. I've exported DVD's from encore before on this computer without problems.

Don't know if this any help but hope anybody got some ideas. I've been trying to look for a solution on the forums, but without any luck.
By the way, I'm using a Mac Pro v3,1 (early 2008) with 2 x 2,8ghz quads, 10GB memory, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (512mb) and plenty of disk space.

Hey, i think if there could be any of the possibilities you talk about, it might have been a naming error. All files i created had the same name in the new project as in the old one. But i used 1 asset arrow that i copy pasted from a library button "Red facets button" and shift pasted on my own buttons as highlight (paste sub picture). In the first project i did not do this as a straight forward thing, a lot of deleting and adding because i had never done it before and there might have happened something with the naming of the arrow i pasted. I used the same arrow in the second project but without messing with delete, paste all the time. But some how there is no problems now, just something wrong with the last project file =S
    Not so important:
I also noticed while building the new project i once got an "General error", not sure why but happened after a random crash. And 2 get rid of it i had to delete the menu and make it again (i could not edit anything in the menu without getting the error). I rebuild the menu and had another crash when exiting the program, because i thought my computer needs to boot after 2 days online. When i reopened the project i got "General error" in the menu again, but after some clicking it didn't show up (random). Finally i got my project setup and everything works, i did the copy past as sub picture as a straight forward thing.

  • Repaired 20" Display Burning Images?

I recently went through a long process of getting my 20" Display Repaired for the second time since I got it in 2005.
I recently noticed after 5-10minutes images are getting burned into the screen. (Example, the login screen will have a ghost image on my desktop after logging in and certain icons or windows will be visible as ghost images burnt into the desktop when moved or closed.) As you can imagine, tis is not only extremely frustrating and distracting. The original two lcds didn't show any of these defects. I am writing to see how apple handles this? Is this similar to the 8 pixel rule, where I'm going to have to argue to get it repaired, or is this a clearly a defect that apple will immediately repair or replace. Its covered under applecare with my G5. I am so frustrated not only that this just got out of a 2week repair, but if replaced again this will be the 3rd lcd replaced in this one 20" Lcd in a year! Please let me know if anyone has had any positive or negative experiences getting this problem corrected? Thanks.

Amazing, I'm seeing this pop up more and more. Apple just replaced my two 23in screens for the same defect. I have a friend at the school district that says he has 10+ displays that are doing the same thing. Thank God for applecare

  • Burning images to a dvd

I'm new to Apple and Aperture and I have tried to burn some full resolution edited images to a DVD.
I have edited images in aperture and with NIK software. As a result I have two versions, the original and the edited version. I have rated the original image as 3 star, to show I am working on the image, and 5 star for the edited version.
I then filtered to a 5 star rating to select the edited version only and dragged them across to a DVD. They burned onto the DVD but all as low resolution images. How do I get Full resolution images onto a dvd?
    Help please.
    Terry

and dragged them across to a DVD
Terry, if you drag from the Aperture Browser window to a folder in the Finder you export the Preview image of the edited version, not the full resolution version.
To export the full resolution version select your images in the Browser and use the "File" menu:
         File -> Export
and select an export preset with "original size" in the name.

  • Burning images for iPhoto 8?

    Forum,
I recently received a disk of images burned from iphoto 6 from a family member. On that computer (the one running iphoto 6) the images are 2mb and when placed into a calendar show no warning signs of printing low-res.
When I upload these photos into my machine (running iphoto 8) all the images show the icon notifying me that the image will print low res. (and they do)
Is there a way to ensure that the photos get burned at a higher quality? Or is this a result of the difference in size of calendars from iphoto 6 to iphoto 8 (8 x 10 to 10 x13)
    Any help is much appreciated.

    reumpter:
When you mount the disk with iPhoto running it should show up in the right hand pane of the iPhoto window like this. To import those photos into your iPhoto 8 library just drag the disk icon onto the Photos or Events icon. This screenshot movie shows how to import just an album but the process is the same for the entire disk. That will import the photos from the disk and keep the keywords, titles and comments intact and will include any edited versions of the photos.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Can you only burn images onto dvd

I'm very new to lightroom and I have images that I want to burn onto a cd, but it only gives me the option to record onto DVD. Can images only be burned on DVDs or is there a way to change the setting to burn specifically onto CDs?

I think it's simply a matter of putting a CD in your drive. Your burner will know what type of disk it is and will write to it. Just give it a try. If it doesn't work then you'll know for sure.

  • Burning images to cd ?

Is it possible to use the superdrive in my iMac G5 to create and burn a label directly to the cd.
I,ve heard of LightScribe which enables drives to burn a silk-screen-like, high-contrast label on the topside of CD or DVD media with a LightScribe dye coating.
Has anyone attempted this with an iMac
    thanks

I have used one that is in a friend's HP PC and while it does work as advertised, the complexity of the image can lead to an extremely long burn time.
    Long story -
For Christmas I bought a DVD of Oscar Peterson's Easter Suite for Jazz Trio as a gift for a long time friend and fellow "jazz head." Unfortunately, it is not available in the States and was in the European PAL format. After converting it to NTSC and burning to DVD with iMovie and iDVD, I wanted it to look nice, so I collected some photos online and put together a really nice label for it and the audio CDs that I made from the soundtrack. It took an hour for each disk - and there were four of them that I made.
It looked very nice, but the time it took to actually make the labels was rather dissappointing. I am not sure that I would use it regularly, but only for an occasional project here and there.

  • Problem with burning/image saving process...

    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

it just hangs up in the audio encoding...
It will appear to do that under normal conditions. My 1 1/2 hour iMovie project took about 30 minutes to encode the audio on this computer; two chips working hard.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302988
I have read that some PowerBooks can take a long time to encode a project. Like 12 hours. That doesn't seem right to me, but I've seen it here.
Tell us more about what you're sending to iDVD. MiniDV coming from a camcorder set to record 16-bit audio, not 12-bit?
