Burning iTunes to DVD

I am trying to make a selection of photographs with some music from my iTunes list. It won't play on my DVD Player because it doesn't recognise the disc. I have succeeded before and I think it has something to do with "Protected AAC......" and "Purchased AA........" Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to find the ability to purchase the copyright now and I think that this is why I can not play the new music on my DVD Player. I can view the photographs without the music.
Please can anyone help me to overcome this problem?????

Sorry but no - itunes supports burning to DVDs only as DATA DVDs - those DVDs won't play on standalone players.
You have to use either Toast 6 with Jam or Toast 7 to burn such so called "Music DVDs" - be aware that this won't work on purchased music: those tracks must be burned to AudioCDs first - then re-imported.

You cannot do this. You can make a backup copy to data dvd, but you CANNOT burn to a dsik that you can watch in a DVD player.

I purchased a few movies and want to burn them to a dvd. How can I do this? Apple seems to make this very difficult to do.

The movie studios make it difficult for Apple to allow you.
Basically you cannot burn them to DVD except in the form they are presently for backup purposes or to transfer to another device you can authorize to play them.

Hi,
I recently switched from a relatively small drive to a much larger one and had the larger drive taking image of the older drive. All of my older programs are now back up to working but I can still can't burn a CD.
I get the following error message "the registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes."
I have reinstalled iTunes a few times and have done soft and hard reboots but still no luck. Any ideas on the simplest way to resolve this matter?

I have been dealing with the following problem for a couple days now, I have searched all over the internet, talked to friends and even Apple tech support but the problem has not been solved.
Whenever I access itunes, I get the following warning: "The registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other burning software. Please reinstall itunes."
I have now reinstalled itunes several times and completely removed then reinstalled as instructed, but the message continues to appear and itunes will not allow me to burn cds. Tech support advised to create a new user account on my computer which I did, it seemed to work but all I can do is import music. I cannot burn any. All my settings and playlists aren't on this account. But, are on my other one where the first message appeared.
Can anyone help? Please. I have struggled with this and cannot figure out what else to do except reset my computer to its factory setting, but would really like to avoid doing so. Please help.
I have a new HP computer running Windows Vista, I have never experienced any problems with itunes until now. I bought a new 120GB ipod in November and it works fine. Oh, I have gotten rid of Nero which was installed when this problem first occurred.

Hmm. "iTunes registry error Vista fix burning and importing issues". play around with the search words till you find something relevant. Not sure, but following is something that might help. I am not a vista user so I can't help much. Good luck.

Each time I launch iTunes (latest version) on Windows 7 (w/ latest system updates) I receive the following error msg:

When I click on "OK" iTunes completes the launch process and the application functions properly. This error msg appears without fail every time I launch the app.
I have reinstalled iTunes four times and continue to receive this message. iTunes is set in the system Control Panel as the default program for all functions that iTunes uses. I never burn CDs or DVDs and have never attempted to do so on this machine. I have had iTunes on this computer since I bought it last November and never had a problem with it until 2 months ago when this message began popping up. I did not notice any action I took that caused this, in terms of creating conflicts.

I have reinstalled iTunes using their complete uninstall instructions.
iTunes does seem to work after OK is clicked, I'm just tired of having to hit OK.
Other thoughts... This started after the iTunes update required to go to IOS 6 for my devices. I'm able to sync my devices. It is possible that ZoneAlarm (my Antivirus and Firewall) got in the way at install. It flagged something and I denied it. I was doing multiple things at the time and the flag did not have any indication about iTunes. I have tried shutting down ZoneAlarm for the install and that has not helped either.
Will try another full uninstall that includes uninstalling ZoneAlarm...

Burning a data DVD for iTunes?!

When i try to burn a data DVD of all of my songs from iTunes it goes through all of the steps but then when it gets to the the burn stage I get an error message that says "the attempt to burn a disk failed. The device failed to calibrate the laser power level for this media". I have gotten the message the vast majority of the the time but it has managed to burn 3 DVDs in a row the weird thing is that i didn't change any of the settings or anything and now it won't burn it anymore and i just keep getting this message. Does anyone know what this means or what I need to do? Please Help!!!

Are you trying to backup your library? If so a much much easier way to do it is to buy or put together an external hard drive, preferably one that can hook up via Firewire and preferably larger than your internal. Then use a program like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper and make a full clone of your internal drive to the external, which would include your iTunes, and if you use a Firewire able drive, you can even boot from this clone in a pinch.
Sorry I don't have an answer to your specific question since I backup on an external hard drive and don't mess with DVDs for this sort of thing. $112 can put you into a 300GB external drive, so they are not expensive.
