Burning photos from multiple collections to a CD

I have multiple collections that I want to burn to a CD. It seems I can only burn one collection at a time using the File > Burn command.
Is the only way to accomplish this to Export the photos to a folder and then use a third party software to burn these photos to a CD?
Thanks for your time, myra

The whole point behind collections [assuming you are referring to the PSE 3 Organizer facility of that name] is that they are project-oriented. In other words, you should only use one in order to define the images [and their sequence] for a particular task. Burning a CD is such a task. This is why it is only possible to assert one collection at a time. For all other organization, use tags.
To address your problem is easy enough. Just create a new collection, say "CD burn", then select each other collection in turn and apply this new one to all the images. Then, select the CD Burn collection and you're all set.

    iPhoto 9.6 cannot open iPhoto Libraries on CD/DVD. The iPhoto Library needs to be on a writable storage.  Copy the iPhoto library from the disk to a folder in your Pictures folder. And then run the iPhoto Library Upgrader on that copy, see this link:  iPhoto '11: About the Library Upgrader

  • How to import photos from multiple iphoto libraries to iPad

    How do I import photos from multiple iPhoto libraries from my iMac to the new iPad? I have 4 different iPhoto Libraries on my iMac.
    I can import photos from  iPhoto library 1,  to the iPad, but when I import photos from iPhoto Library 2, created on my iMac to the iPad,
    it deletes the original photos that I imported from the first iPhoto Library and replaces them with the import from library 2.
    I only want to import selected photos from each library to my iPad. Can someone plese help me?

    As Ralph has suggested, if you want to sync photos from your computer, you must include all photos that you want to sync - with each and every sync. You cannot import photos from another Main photo folder on the computer. You must create an all-in-one photo library in iPhoto and sync from that folder. You can select one level of sub folders from within that main folder, but all of those folders must be included in the main folder - in your case it is in iPhoto. That is just how the sync process works with Photos.
    I don't know how using third party apps affects the photos that you have already synced from iPhoto, but take a look at these apps in this Google search. Maybe Wifi transfer is the way to go for you.

  • How do I burn photos from an iPhoto library album to a CD disk as jpegs?

    How do I burn photos from an iPhoto library album to a CD disk as jpeg files? I'm wanting to burn the iPhoto library exactly as it appears in the "album", so they appear as jpegs, so you can't tell that the files have been edited in iPhoto. (I have edited some of the photos in iPhoto.)
    I tried this using the "share/burn" menu option, however, it included the original files, which defeats the purpose of editing them.
    Any suggestions?

    Select the pics in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pics to a folder on the desktop. Burn that to CD with the Finder.

    That's my question, Why does pressing the L key twice (to cycle through dimming modes) remove a selected photo from a collection? Is my system the only computer that does this when I follow Adobe's directions to cycle through dimming modes by repeatedly hitting L? If not, how dumb is this?

    Hi,
    Check below things
    ---ManagerRendered attribute is transientAttr and type:Boolean
    ---${oa.viewInsatnce.ManagerRendered} ...paste in Readonly property of the item.
    OARow detailsRow = (OARow)detailsVO.*first()*;
    String position=(String)detailsRow.getAttribute("PositionCode");
    String firstname=(String)detailsRow.getAttribute("FirstName");
    System.out.println(firstname); The firstname is got from detailsRow correctly if I entered it on page.
    if ((position == null) && ("PRESIDENT".equals(position)))
    detailsRow.setAttribute("ManagerRendered", Boolean.FALSE);
    else
    detailsRow.setAttribute("ManagerRendered", Boolean.TRUE);

  • Managing Photos from multiple sources to iPhoto '11 Photo Stream on Mac.

    I combined photos from multiple sources (camera, desktop, iPhone) to iPhoto '11 on Mac.  I determined keeper photos and put them in Event.  I also rated and flagged the keeper photos.  I want to delete the rest of photos from Photo Stream but can't see rating/flag so I can't determine which ones to delete.
    This is basic file management but not finding a solution.  Suggestions?

    The Photo Stream is designed to push your images into the cloud the moment they are taken. It does not (yet) support to show the ratings and most of the tags.
    If you have an event with all photos you want to keep, the easiest way would be to delete all photos from the Photo Stream (on all your IOS devices) and then add only your selected "keeper" images to the Photo Stream again.
    Regards
    Léonie
    Added: It is not safe to rely on the Photo Stream for storage, since it will only keep a snapshot of currently added photos - the last month's photos or the last 1000 photos. You have have no control over the sorting of photos in the stream or how long they will be kept. The Photo Stream is a means of sharing, not of storing images. I prefer to use "Shared Photo Streams" for more permanent photo selections. These will show exactly the selection of images I add to them, and they are not automatically erased after a month.

  • How to delete photos from a collection

    Hi,
    The fact that I can't delete a photo when I'm browsing a collection is now one of the few things that really hampering my LR experience. The issue occurs even more often than it needs to because I often need to open several photos in Photoshop from which to create a final composite image. The quickest way to do this is to select them all and choose "Edit in Photoshop". However this create TIFFs for each file that I won't want to keep, so I then need to delete all but one of them.
    I'm hoping that I've just missed something obvious...
    At the moment I have to select the photo(s) that I want to delete, right click, choose to view them in the library, press the delete key, confirm the fact that I really would like to remove the files from the disk, then press the "back" button to get back to my collection view. Hardly quick.
    If the photos aren't all in the same folder then this doesn't work at all since there is no common folder. From the collection view there's simply no way of knowing if this is the case.
    I've tried using the Quick collection to group all the photos that I want to delete, however you can't delete them from there either.
    I've tried using the reject flag to flag all the ones that I want to delete, but that doesn't help either. All you can do with the rejected photos is to remove them from the collection; the reject flag isn't sticky across collection and the folder view.
    I really need an efficient way to delete multiple files from a collection view. Is there one?
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • Duplicating photos from multiple systems

    It appears that Photos doesn't check for duplicates when running on multiple systems. Every time I open it on a new Mac, it duplicates every synced photo from my iPhone so I have 3 copies, each with the same name and identical metadata, all synced in iCloud.

    Hi macitect,
    To make it easy for you I would export all the photos you want to use and create a new library to import them into. this will be your book library.
    When you are done making your book and ordering it you can delete the book library or burn the library to disc in case you want to order another book at a later date.

  • How do I move photos from one collection to another in Photo app ios7?

    When upgraded my iPad to IOS 7, it automatically sorted photos into collections that are not correct and I would like to sort them into correct events.

    If you create your new album and give it a name you can then select where you wish to add new photos from.  For example either select Photos or Albums from the bottom of the screen and select the photos you wish to add to the new Album.

  • What is the best way to aggregate photos from multiple family users into a single iCloud photo library?

    My wife and I currently have a iPhone and iPad each.
    We share my apple ID account for apps and I also use this as my main icloud account on my devices.
    My wifes devices have a different main icloud account.
    We also have a iMac with separate users configures, which are tied to our individual icloud accounts.
    Now that OSX photos has been released we want to make use of it including icloud photo library.
    We take photos. Lots of them.
    And we want the photos from all our devices to be aggregated automatically into a single osx photos/iCloud photo library.
    1 - because we want a single library which includes all our photos from the last 15 yrs
    2 - because we don't want to pay twice for storage
    Seems to me there are two options - but I would be happy to hear any others.
    1) The family sharing route
    This seems to be the official solution, but it has major limitations.
    Set up family sharing. I'll be the organiser since its my apple id thats used for app purchases already
    Add my wife to the family
    Ah... but now she has to manually share every photo or moment from he device
    And it seems that these moments are not incorporated into the photos database in same way as the icloud library account users (me) are
    2) Family iCloud account
    I didn't test it yet, but no reason that I can see why it should not work
    Create a new icloud account for the family
    Make this family account the primary icloud account on all devices (could be a big disruption for icloud enabled apps)
    Add our personal apple ids as mail/contact/calendar account
    Make a new user on OSX for photos which has the family icloud account configured
    No all devices should share the same photo library
    Unfortunately:
    We lose bookmark, keychain, etc sync between devices and osx accounts
    We lose imessage (maybe).
    We lose the new ios8/yosemite features like handoff
    Or worse we get crazy imessage/handoff between all devices from all accounts
    Both methods have major downsides.
    Anyone know of a better way?
    Why doesnt apple allow multiple separate icloud accounts to be configured and select which features each can use (where some features may have to be unique to a single account). To me this would seem to be the best option...

  • How do I add photos from another collection to my saved Book?

    Hi,
    In my lightroom library I have created a collection set called "Wedding". As I have 1000 photos from my wedding, within this Collection Set I have created 10 or more Collections to organise these photos (Ceremony, Reception, First Dance, etc.).
    I have created a new 'Book' which as expected, has created a new Collection within my 'Wedding' collection set.
    When I first create the book (before saving it) it seems like I can click on a page, then browse my Collections and add the photo that I desire to the page.
    After I have saved the book, I can't so this. I want to work on my book later, and use my existing organisation of photos, and add photos to my books from these collections.
    I know I am missing something basic (I am new to lightroom). I don't understand why I can't add a photo to my book after I have saved it.
    Each time I click on one of my other collections, a new unsaved book appears in the main project window.
    I have worked out that if I copy all my wedding photos into the new "Book" collection, then my photos are available for use - but this defeats the purpose of organising my photos into separate collections, and it doesn't seem like you can create a sub-collection within the Book project.
    I also can't seem to find any documentation to explain this properly.
    Any help would be apreciated - or if I coud be pointed to a good resource.
    Cheers,
    Mandy.

    Thanks for the response.
    I saw these discussions previously, but not of them seem to answer my question (nor confirm that what I am trying to do cannot be done).
    If I want to create a "Wedding Album" book, do I have to firstly use the Library module to drag ALL the photos I may want to use into my "Wedding Album" collection (saved book) ?
    This seems annoying as I have already categorisied my 1000+ wedding photos into separate Collections using the Library (so that I can find the one I want easier).
    It seems as though the Book module would function much better if you could create a book, choose a page that you want to add a photo to, then browse through your pre-configured collection sets & collections, and add photos to the book from the navigation panel on the left when you have the "Book" module open. (Rather than having to copy the photo first into the "Book" 's Collection, then adding it to the page that you want)
    Mandy.
