Burning same song on CD

Ok, for my mom this Christmas, I wanted to give her a CD of this one song she really likes. So I was wondering if there was a a way that I could burn a CD with only one song but have the song on there like 10 or so times so it could just keep playing over and over. Is there a way to do this?

You could burn the one song onto a CD and then hit Repeat on the CD player.
Or you can drag the same song into the playlist as many times as you want. Just make sure the playlist is no longer than ~70 minutes as this is the max an audio CD will hold.

  • HT204053 my wife and i have seperate itunes accounts is there a way we can link our accounts to share songs so we dont have to pay for the same song twice?

Since, i purchased and ipad 2 and an iphone and to keep our stuff from combing i used a different computer and created an new apple ID for myself so our info wouldnt combine, I was wondering if i did the right thing or if i should have went about it a different way. I was going to see if there was a way when she purchased a song i could get it. I dont want to pay for the same song twice and only want to share songs. If i cant do this can i copy her library and paste it into my itunes??
Any help wouldl be greatly apprecieated we both have icloud set up but i cant figure out the best solution.

Welcome to the world of digital media. Your can't really transfer it. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.
Also, I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice.

  • Not Burning all Songs

I'm making a couple of CDs with the same songs on them and when I burn the CD all seems good. They all show up in iTunes as being on the CD. But when I get in my car, only four of the 16 songs play. I tried a differant CD player and only four played but when I put the CD in my Mac, all songs show up. I haven't gone over the limit (usually I get a message when I burn four CDs). I like to have them for my car and office. I've never had this happened before. Thanks.

  • 4 times the same song! it is my itunes?

Hello, my problem started when i added new files to my library, the itunes -or i dont know what- put the same song 4 times! when i checked my HD i saw that the same file was 4 times present on my HD, for example: the beatles-michelle1-mp3 , the beatles-michelle2.mp3 ...... the beatles-micheles4.mp3 , now, i have 4000 files that is really 1000 x 4 times!
The Question is: how can i manage my files to solve this problem and prevent to ot repeat again in the future?
P.D: Im a new Mac user, thank you!

Try it and see. It should use the amended start & stop times when burning an Audio CD just as it does if you use the feature to create an MP3 or AAC version, but I've never had reason to test it out.

  • Why can't I burn some songs

I have a MAC OSX version 10.6.8.  It let's me burn some cd's but states "my computer is not authorized" to burn others even though I have burned the same songs in the past.  How do I correct that.  I-tunes states that my computer is "AUTHORIZED."

  • HT201616 Multiple versions of same song by different artists

iTunes used to have a feature where you can view multiple versions of the same song by different artists. Is there still a way to do this without having to search through the entire iTunes store? That way takes forever and I have to sample tracks that are completely unrelated, but just happen to have the same title. Why in the world would the dumb iTunes geeks take this feature away. Someone please help. Thanks!

Have not been in ITUNES Store in quite awhile but
If it was a function, it would rely on the person or persons who authored the song to insure you did get the same lyrics so to speak.
So, if you didn't know the artist you wanted - or the authors of the song - you would have to sample them until you hit the correct one.
Itunes did grow over time - and if they did have cross reference by authors they may have removed it - on the other hand like searches may have worked because of a limited database at the time - it did seem to start adding songs based on searches that brought up nothing one time - and a month later there they were.
ITUNES has over time added restrictions - for instance at some point - you had to allow this computer on Itunes in order to have itunes synchronize to an IPOD (I purchased about 6 songs on old mac - after migration synchronized fine until they stopped - finally mac allowed more than one device so I could add this one and synchronization started again).

  • Burns correct song, but wrong file name

I have been burning a song of mine. After the song is finished burning I click on the cd icon and when it opens it shows a name of a different song. When I play the cd it plays the correct song-the one I burned! The name it labels it with is a drum track I once created so I deleted the drum track, restarted the computer, etc. It still burns the right song but names it with the track I deleted. I am preparing this cd to go out to radio stations and, although my outside labelling (cd art, Lightscribe on the cd) identifies the song, I am afraid of what will happen if the cd is downloaded, e.g. it won't show up with it' correct name.

I burn cds with iTunes-my own music imported from Garageband into iTunes.
I deleted all copies of the song that keeps being labeled on my new songs from iTunes.
I see there are iTunes Library data files in my iTunes folder, but I can't open them. There is also a folder labelled Previous iTunes Libraries with old dates on them. I don't know why they are there.
I repair permissions and restart my computer regularly.
Following the lead of some other apple discussion threds where people have had the same problem I created a 1-second silent track and added it to the playlist of the one song I was burning. Then I labeled the silent track and my demo under one album name. Then it burned and labeled okay. It turns out this problem only happens when you are burning single songs. Burning albums don't have this problem. Compilations will have this problem if you don't change all the songs to one album heading. Also, it happens with any single song burn, not just my Garageband stuff. I tried burning a single Bob Dylan song and it still came out labeled with the wrong name, the same ones iTunes put on my demo.

  • How do I burn a song without it going into an album

How do I burn a song without it going into an album

    Hi Rusty Bucket Head,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  If your song is incomplete when you try to play it, you can delete it and try redownloading it as described here:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If the second download still has the same issue, you can report the issue to the iTunes Store by following this article:

  • Doesn't seem to be including all songs in shuffle. Repeats same songs

When in shuffle mode, doesn't seem to include all songs in the shuffle.  It repeats the same songs.

Well, seems to me that if the computer is reading other CDs, the lens should not be a problem? If you really think it would help though, I suppose I'll try it.
Since I posted I've tried leveling the computer because I thought that might be an issue, but I think I can rule that out.
Could it be that I need to download some sort of driver update? I don't know when I purchased those Memorex CD-Rs that I'd been using and that worked, but the ones I just bought look a little different, so maybe they are also more advanced in some way?
Maybe 3 or 4 discs that I put in (out of maybe 50) actually did show up on the desktop and when I tried to burn them, started burning as normal. But then about 20 seconds into it, it said something about it not being able to burn.
I have also run Disk First Aid, which told me that there is an invalid PEOF. Could this be creating the problem?
Thanks to anyone who can shed some light...

  • ITunes burns wrong song

Using itunes 7.4.2....I am trying to burn one AAC m4p file that I purchased from iTunes on to a CD. My preference settings are set to Audio CD. I created a playlist with the single song....click Burn at the bottom right of iTunes....everything seems to proceed normally...the information in the top center window shows the correct name of the tune as the burning occurs....but when the CD is completed.... its the wrong song that appears on the CD.. Each time I have made a burn the same song which has nothing to do with the playlist appears. I tried deleting the original playlist and created a new one... repaired permissions etc and the result has been the same on several disks. Any ideas or help will be appreciated.

John...you suggest.... "Oh you have to tell iTunes to convert songs into the format that you want. Go to iTunes>Preferences>Advanced>Import. From there those the import file type to AAC. AIFF is just another file format like AAC or MP3
Ok....even though the tune is already AAC I changed my preferences...as suggested and selected convert to AAC which the message will not allow... but tried another burn. Same as before...the burn is on the wrong song. Again, there is only one song in the playlist. What I was trying to do is buy a song from itunes....and use it in a home video...which requires an .aiff file. It used to be so easy....but not anymore. I think this is the end of my itunes adventures. I will simply buy the CD
I think itunes is very limited....Apple I am sure has their reasons....but this does not work for me anymore.

  • How can I go back the same song that was playing when I switched and watched a movie?

How can I go back to the same song and place in the song that was playing when I started watching a movie?  I have over 6k songs and now my ipod always goes back to #1 even though I may have been listening to # 321.  How do I ever get to listen to all my songs.  Yes I have it on random but if I look at the songs I have played lots of them have played 15-20 times amd many more 6-8 times.  At this point I don't feel I will ever hear the latest songs I added.
Any help will be greately appreciated.  Also is it possible to do the same on the new ipod classic 160?

One area that this appears is on Facebook where it lists the number of Recognized Devices. There are six devices which include iPad and iPhone. These items are grayed and you are unable to change. Also on my iphone it lists the computer name. This name is different from name of my computer. It's what I signed in as when I installed the Mountain Lion upgrade. I know I'm not doing a good job of explaining this. I have searched everywhere on my computer that I can think of and cannot locate where this is used. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Wondering if you haven't been bitten by the new "feature" of iOS 5, as was my son. turingtest2 explained it very well in reply to my own query about "missing" songs in playlists.

  • IPod Touch 4th Gen starts from the same song

I recently updated my iPod Touch 4th gen, 32 GB to iOS 6.1.2, from 5.1.1. I skipped iOS 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2, 6.1, and 6.1.1. After the update, I noticed that when I play music from my "All Music" list, my iPod always starts on the same song, no matter what song I listened to last. Sometimes it starts at a song that's farther down the list, but I haven't been able to figure out what circumstances caused it to start at that song. To make things more confusing, once it chooses a different song, it always starts from that song.
I have confirmed that Shuffle and Repeat are both OFF. This issue occurs whether I have recently charged/synced my iPod or not. It also occurs after I perform a hard restart on the iPod. I have not tried restoring it, because I have not had time to dedicate the several hours it would take to re-install iOS and copy all of my stuff back onto it.
My computer is running Windows 7, 32-bit. My iTunes is version 11.0.2.26.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone has questions relating to this issue, I'd be happy to answer them.

I didn't mention this in my initial post because I didn't think it was relevant, but the Home button on my iPod doesn't work. I've been using the virtual home button provided by turning Assistive Touch on.
I did try the first solution you suggested, but nothing happened. I'll make another post when I try the second method.
On a side note, and if it makes any difference, the device in question is not a phone. It's an iPod Touch.

  • Can I share iTunes with others in my family or do we have to all buy the same songs since we have different apple IDs?

I am new to iTunes and am wondering if I can share iTunes with my family or do we just have to all purchase the same songs multiple times since our devices have different apple ID's.  My iPhone was set up last year to one iTunes ID and I just got an iPad but it has a different apple ID. So I can't even share with myself! It seems stupid to have my husband and I both purchasing the same music.

There are two ways to share your content. The simplest is just to use homesharing. Simply set up homesharing on each device from the iTunes advanced menu (you need to use the same details on each computer), providing the computers are on the same network they should see each other and can be found in the list on the left hand side of the iTunes window.
The second way is to transfer the content to another computer, play it and authorise it to play content from that account by entering the original account password when prompted (this only needs doing once for each account, not for each tune)

  • I am logged into the same itunes account on two diffrent accounts on the same computer, there are diffrents songs on each of the itunes library how do i get the same songs on the librarys on the diffrent computer accounts?
