Burning seemless music cd's???

Hey all, i use a lot of mixed albums and was wondering is it possible to burn these albums onto cd without the usual gap of a second between each track, i'd like them to mix seemlessly into each other.. I've used the gapless playback option for transfering mixed albums to my ipod which works perfectly, but it doesn't work when burning to cd..

Ya, unfortunately iTunes does not support DAO (disc at once) burning, which is needed to burn true Gapless CDs. You can set the gap between tracks to zero, but you will still hear a slight gap where the laser turns off at the end of one track and back on with the next track.
You would want to use a third party burning tool like Toast to get true DAO (gapless) burns.

ITunes 9 will not burn a music CD that can play on a CD player

Ever since I upgraded to Itunes 9 I cannot copy (burn) a music CD that can be played on any CD player device other than the MacBook. I tried changing the format preference from .aif to .mpg4a but it still only creates CD's that cannot play. I am not pirating anything. I copied my own bought retail music CD's onto the MacBook and gave away the CD's to eliminate clutter. In the past I have been able to copy them for my own use for the car or the bedroom where there is no computer available. This is so frustrating. Please help!

does the format of the original song make a difference? for instance, if the data is mp3 data, but you try to burn an audio cd, will that mess it up? I dunno. it didn't use to, I dont think. I have no idea about iTunes9
You could convert the songs to .aif in QuickTime before hand just to make sure iTunes9 isn't messing it up.

I can't burn a music disk

iTunes will not burn a music disk. it starts to burn 1 or 2 tracks then stops and kicks the disk out.

OK, some more questions:
What kind of Mac do you have?
Are you using the built in CD/DVD drive?
What Disk Format do you want to burn: "Audio CD", "MP3 CD" or "Data CD"?
Is the CD (after iTunes ejects the disk) readable or not?
In any case you could try reducing the "Preferred Speed" in the "Burn Settings" dialog box down to maybe "8x".

Can Burn Ripped Music, Can't Burn Purchased Music

Help!!
Ever since installing 7.0.2 I can no longer burn purchased music to CD. Music I ripped from my own CDs burns just fine.
Data from desktop burns fine as well as music from other programs such as sonic and Windows Media Player. Actually iTunes worked fine until I upgraded to 7.0.2 from 6
I'm thinking ther must be some kind of problem with the protected MPEG4 that apple is using that is messing up CD burning
I have downloaded latest firmware, updated drivers, re installed IDE/ATA, Reinstalled iTunes, Re installed CD burner, tried every burn speed from fastest down to 1x, Turned off spam & spyware, turned off firewall, turned off virus prtection made, Made sure IMAP CD settings are set to automatic and started.
Nothing works. I'm at my wits end and getting very frustrated because I have hundreds of dollars of purchased music that is now stuck on my computer and won't burn.

I don't understand, we buy this music for a buck a piece, and then when you want to make an mp3 cd to play in your car, like i have( i can make one cd with 150 songs)or what ever , we can't even do that. I also have an ipod but i don't bring it into my car all the time. I thought that because we are buying the music and technically we own them, that we can use the music which ever way that you want. And now we have to buy a converter if we want to make mp3 cd's. I have resorted to spending my money on cd's to make cd's of my protected files, just to rip them back on my computer again as an mp3 song, remove the protected songs, and all this to do what i thought we could do with our purchases music because, oh i don't know, call me crazy, we were able to before!!! All i now see is that we have to spend money to get our music to spend money to change our music to use it the way we want to, to spend our money to make our own cd's. The operative words, spending our money. Does anyone find this absolutely rediculous? Anyone ever hear the phrase "Don't fix it if it ain't broke"? Anyone else frustrated?

How Do I Burn a Music Disc with Files Names Included?

Is it possible to burn a music disc and somehow include the file names so when it is opened in another iTunes (or mine) it will have the track listing there?

As iTunes does not support CD Text you can't include track information on a AudioCD.
As a workaround you may "Submit Track Names" to CDDA through iTunes Menu Advanced after having burned a CD.

Burning Movies & Music & Music Video's The iMac is Making Noise?

Burning a MUSIC DVD Possible?

Is is possible in iTunes to burn a MUSIC DVD that will play in any DVD Player? Burning a MUSIC CD works fine but I would like to use a DVD because of the greater capacity. The only instructions I've found are how to burn a DATA DVD - for back-up I guess, and playing in some computers. I would really appreciate knowing if this is possible and, if so, how it can be done. Thank you very much.

You cannot create an audio DVD.
Many, many DVD players will play AAC and MP3 files on a data DVD.

When I try to burn a music CD, it insists I am burning a data DVD

When I select a playlist and tell it to burn the playlist the disc as an Audio CD, I get the following message:
"You have inserted a blank DVD but originally selected a CD format. Are you sure you wish to create a data DVD instead?"
Since I asked it to create an audio CD and NOT a data DVD, I have no idea what to do. I simply want to play these files from the CD player.
Any ideas? Is it possible the format of the files (MP3) is to blame?
Note I have never figured out how to create a CD that will play in my normal, several-generations-old CD player.

The message is crystal clear.
YOU CANNOT (not no way, not no how) create a MUSIC CD with a DVD. It's a completely DIFFERENT disc format.
If you want to burn a Music CD, you MUST USE a blank CD to do it.

Keeping getting the -3 error when trying to burn purchased music

Keeping getting the -3 error when I try to burn the music to an audio cd.

trying to transfer over library from my old hp itunes to new powerbook. burned some of the songs onto cds as data instead of audio but once the playlist was burned it said unknown error -50. then when i put the cd in my mac the same thing came up and it wasnt recognized by itunes on the powerbook. AHHHH. help please. oh and also some of my songs from the cd then went into itunes if i dragged them but some didnt. both mp3 and m4a. and i want my purchased songs to transfer too

Converted vinyl to digital but now when I try to burn the music to a cd it says there is a writing error and kicks out the disc.

Just converted a bunch of my dad's old vinyl to digital via the ion ez vinal converter. However when I went to burn the music, which sound fine over the computer, to a cd it says there is a writing error and kicks out the disc. Can I correct this somehow without having to import these all again?

The problem is not with iTunes or the file so you won't need to import them again.
Try a different brand of disc.

When burning dowloaded music i get an erro 4220.

I have never had any problem burning downloaded music before, but now i get a erro 4220 every time

Hello, I've had my mac mini (combo drive) for 4 months only and I have used it before to burn music cd's from itunes, however when I recently tried to burn a music cd again I got the error message "the attempt to burn a disc failed. The drive failed to respond properly, unable to recover or retry".
Any ideas of what the problem could be? I suspect the drive has gone bad but I'm not sure how to troubleshoot it. I have tried different types of recordable cd's with the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

I still can not burn my music ...Not Happy!

I have been there done that and I am getting NO WHERE? I can not burn my music still I have been through several disks, and have tried all trouble shooting suggested by iTunes. I have had my Dell Support tech team run all dianostics , update all my drivers, ect... My other media software burns just fine.
This all started about 1 month ago while I was in the itunes store and received a prompt to upgrade my itunes, I did the upgrade and have not been able to burn "My Music" I bought from itunes. This is a shame that the itune support team can not find a fix to their customers needs! I have spent hours on this problem!!
Does anyone out there know of another Music site that I can join? Make sure to send a support email to the itunes support team... I am going to ask for my money back for my music and move on from this whole apple/itunes BS real soon! Same here. I have a jailbroken iPhone 3G running on 4.0.1 and iTunes 9.2.1 - iTunes tells me the phone is syncing. The phone says "Sync in Progress" but after it is done, zilt! nothing! nada!

Why dont you right click on the playlist you want to burn and then click "Burn Playlist To Disk". see if that helps.
