how do i back up video bought in itunes ,if even possible tried to do it the same way you do a cd but doesnt work .

Normally, other computers don't have much trouble reading Data discs.
If you can open the disc on the computer you used to burn it, but not on other computers, you might try another brand CD-R.
If you want to play the video on another computer, add it to the iTunes library or open it in QuickTime. Since it's protected content, the computer has to be authorized.

I purchased a few tv shows from itunes. I have been able to burn audio cds without a problem, but when I try to burn the tv episodes that I have, itunes will not let me. Before you ask why on earth I would want to burn tv shows onto a cd, my dvd player is capable of playing v-cds. In the past, I have downloaded/burned random episodes from various tv shows without a problem on my old pc (and not from itunes). Is it possible to burn tv shows with itunes?

I purchased a "Queen" Video album from Itunes,so I could copy to DVD. I have not found any way to create the DVD with the video files Itunes sold me. I guess we are in the same boat.

I had a av cord that plugged into the iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 but its not compatible with the 5 connector. Right now i have to email myself the videos in small segments and open and save on the iPad 2 to burn them. Is there an easier way to burn these from my iPhone 5 or through air play on apple tv?

Connect the phone by USB to the computer, import with image capture, iPhoto or whatever application you use to import movies, drop it into iTunes.

Import a video from itunes

I purchased a video from itunes and saved it as a quicktime movie on my desktop. I am working on a imovie project and wanted to use a clip from the video. When I try to import the video it says that the computer is not authorized through itunes. I type in my password to authorize and it says that the computer is... and then another message comes up that imovie/itunes is not authorized to use it in imovie. Its like mac won't allow you to use the video clip??? What can I do? Please help!

That sounds about right.
Apple's ability to sell music and tv shows is probably based on strict agreements regarding the terms under which customers can use the product.
And there are differences between use of music and video. For example, you can copy tracks from a cd, burn to a disc, put them on your iPod etc. Defeating dvd encryption, however, even for personal use, is illegal in the United States, but is a bit more fuzzy in other countries.
So you may have just hit the first line of defense in the war against video piracy. It's a heck of a lot easier than stopping people from copying dvds.
At the same time, someone here may already have found a workaround. Hang out and see.

Cannot sync videos from iTunes to iPhone 5S

I recently got an iPhone 5S 32 GB. I restored it through iTunes from a backup of my old iPhone 4S 16 GB. Since the restore, & after an upgrade to iOS 8.0.2, I can no longer sync videos from iTunes 11.4.0.18 to the iPhone. Previously I had been syncing a number of these videos to the 4S for years.
Here's what I've always done: I simply connect the iPhone to my PC via a lightning cable. Next I click on the "Movies" button at the top of the window. Then I check the box to sync the movies that I wish to transfer. Finally I hit "Apply." The sync starts, but the movies never make it to the phone for some reason.
When I click on "Movies" under the iPhone on the left side of the screen, I see a listing of the movies that should have synced. They are listed there, but they are kind of greyed out, & they have a dotted circle beside them. This is very puzzling because I have over 17 GB of free space on the phone. I can also confirm that the files are on my hard drive in the location shown when I right-click & hit "Get Info." I can also successfully sync the very same videos with my iPad mini.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

UPDATE: I backed up my phone, wiped it (Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings), & then restored it through iTunes. For whatever reason, that seems to have fixed the problem. Movies now sync to my phone like they used to.
That process seems to have corrected 1 or 2 other minor issues, including one where iTunes was 'syncing artwork' for a long time on every sync.

You must enable iTunes Match on the new computer. The best way to accomplish what you want to do is to create a new, empty library by launching iTunes while holding down the Option key (Shift on Windows) and choosing "new library." Quicktime 7 not playing videos from Itunes...

So recently I noticed my Quicktime 7 has been acting strange. It used to play all my videos flawlessly... it still does, although i've noticed movies bought from the itunes store wont play anymore. When I try to open the file on QT 7 I get the black screen but then It exits out and I get the "Quicktime 7 Has Quit Unexpectedly" and I get the Kern_Protection_Failure log ( whatever that is) It's weird, before every file i tried worked perfectly, but now I cant get them to play.... Is There any fix to this or has Quicktime 7 completely stopped supporting movies/videos from Itunes? ******Oh, by the way They DO however play in Quicktime X****** I''m running 2009 macbook pro 13-inch OSX 10.6.8 and All software is up to date. Problem transferring video from iTunes to iPod

I can't transfer video from iTunes to iPod. DVD movies converted to MP4 using Cucusoft software and a TV show purchased from iTunes Music Store won't transfer. The only video that has tranferred successfully is a video podcast called "Tiki Bar". It did ok.

Connect the iPod and go to edit-->preferenes. Click the iPod tab. Click the videos tab under that. Make sure automatically update all videos is selected.
Note: Your preferences may look slightly different.
Also, try playing the video you purchased from the iTunes Music Store for a few seconds on your computer.

Error message when trying to transfer/sync video from itunes to ipod

I have never had this problem before, but I just purchased a couple music videos from itunes and then was trying to manually transfer/sync them to my ipod and then I receive the error message "Attempting to copy to the disk failed. The disk could not be read from or written to"
I can transfer/sync music just fine still, and I have transferred music videos in the past. And I checked the info tab on the music videos and they are "protected content" but I have been able to transfer other protected content videos from itunes before.
I have tried restarting itunes and the ipod, putting it in disk mode and nothing seems to work. I would appreciate someone's help, THANK YOU!

Downloading videos from itunes

I have purchased 3 videos from itunes music store but they wont download. A message pops up that reads...."There was an error downloading your purchased music. The disk could not be read from or written to." I have gone to the advanced tab and clicked on the CHECK FOR PURCHASES...but yet it will still not download. this problem has been occuring since last thursday. What can i do to solve this problem?

Your itunes is running, so I doubt this has anything to do with it. Does your Qtime run too?

On my ipad2 error says "unabble to download "the movie name" at this time. Gives me option. retry or Done.
Movie title page (with movie poster, plot summary, etc) shows with cloud icon for download, but when cloud is touched,it tries to download foe a few secs then gives error. As well, in Downloads area, movie shows as paused, but gives error when attepmting to download. ...no option to delete is available as well. Many thanks in advance.
