Burning with Other Programs?

I've continually had burning error 4261 preventing me from making CD's with iTunes. Someone suggested burning from iTunes using another program like Nero. I am totally unfamiliar with doing that. How would that work. I like (or did whenever I was miraculously able to burn one in iTunes) the ability to drag n drop.

within iMovie.
I close iMovie and import the Show from iDVD = iDVD renders and does this OK.
iMovie'08 & 09 - Never tired that.
Alt. to iDVD is to burn with Roxio Toast™ ($$$ - cost)
• Export out (any iMovie version) as High Quality QuickTime .mov and
• Import this into Toast™

When I try to zoom the text of an e-mail I received or sent , I can no longer use the keys Command + to enlarge the text, although I can reduce it with Command -.
As I have a problem with my eyes, This is a serious matter for me.
When I write an e-mail, if I select text and press Command +, it just displaces the text to the right.
Now, my husband has a USB keyboard. If he connects it to my computer, his regular Command + does not work either, but he uses the extended keyboard, then it works. Unfortunately, he needs it for a musical application which does not work with a wireless keyboard.

Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10".

Is there a way to get the calculator from the dashboard to appear along with other programs? Can anyone recommend a calculator which will work as a stand alone app?

AS it stands now, in order to use the calculator that comes with the Dashboard, you cannot read from a list of numbers in, lets say, word or excel. The dashboard is full screen and nothing can stand along side it. Is there a way to get the calculator from the dashboard to appear along with other programs? I bought the Officejet 6500A Plus about one month and have experienced the very same problem. I tried to remedy this problem following suggestions in a number of different posts (static IP, router, firewalls etc), all to no avail. Last week I called support. The support I received by the tech over several hours and different days for a week was very good. However none of his suggestions corrected the connection issue. After today's recommended fix failed, he advised HP is aware of this issue with the 6500 and other affected printers. He claimed HP was working on a firmware upgrade. He did not know when the update would be provided. The tech also claimed HP acknowledged this problem in a written announcement. He agreed to email the announcement to me. I haven't received it. This has been the only problem I've had with the 6500

Well, I figured itout.
Apparently the Numbers (and Pages) app downloads was stopped and \never re\started.. possibly because of something I did, like turn off my machine during them.
I went to Apple > App Store > Purchases. I discovered all three iWorks apps were listed but showed "Resume" as the status button at the right. I clicked on each to get them started again... and they eventually automatically became "Installed".
They work, now!

My laptop touchpad scroll is not working with firefox 4. It is wroking with other programs. When I attach a mouse then scroll works with mouse wheel. It is only not working with touchpad. It is/was working with firefox 3.6.x

I am using windows xp service pack 3 with Lenovo T60p.

I too have this problem, I have an Acer Aspire 7551G with an ALPS mutitouch touchpad. It works perfectly fine in every other program, and worked in Firefox 3.6. Scroll also works fine with a USB mouse. I tried downloading the 'latest' driver from the Acer support website, but when I tried to install it, it says that I am trying to install the same driver that I already have, so that fix isn't possible. I've only had the machine for 3 months, so I would imagine the drivers are pretty current.
I can't believe that this is a driver problem anyway, as I say, it works perfectly well in every other program, so it must be something wrong with Firefox. I was looking forward to using Firefox 4, but this problem is too annoying to put up with. Oh well, back to Chrome... at least until there is a fix found or implemented.

Need to record what I hear from speakers with other program

I need to record what I hear with a program that can record a programs video and audio.
Is there any way to set speakers as the recording source, instead of mic, or can I set it to both speakers and mic?
If not, then we need an upgrade to our audio mixer that allows this to be done so we can use programs like Snagit or Camtasia to record our music programs playing. The way it is now, I can only set the mic as the recording source, so I miss the audio the program is playing but get the video of the program playing it.

I tried to do some research and it looks like you need to have an external device and its drivers, such as an external microphone, installed on the computer to record audio that can be saved as a sound file. Another Suggestion is to try an auxiliary spliter for your headphones and external speakers?
What software are you using to record your game?
If anyone knows anything different, please let me know.

Computer freezes upon playing itunes with other programs open!!!

When I run itunes with only a few other programs open, such as internet explorer, my computer completely freezes and will not even allow the ctrl/alt/delete shutdown. This problem also occurs when I have been running itunes by itself for a few songs. My itunes library is about 13Gb in size and is organized by itunes (i.e. through the preferences option) in ACC format. My computer is fully cabable of handling the requirements of this program - or so I thought - with an 80Gb hard drive and 512RAM. My suspicion from looking at the task manager, however, is that itunes is a RAM hog taking up an average memory usage of 40,000 to 45,000 K. My computer is not at all prone to freezing and operates like a dream without itunes running. For starters, how do I fix this problem so that I might keep itunes? Some additional logistics of my problem are listed below and I hope they are of help in solving this problem, but I partially suspect that this issue stems from my large quantity of songs organized by itunes because it didn't freeze when my music file size was smaller (i.e. 4Gb) Thanks.
-I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Quicktime.
-I have tried msconfig, but too many possibilities present themselves for a potential program inhibitor.
-Firewall and Antivirus software by symmantec.
-Have Divx, but doubt this to be the problem because it was installed after.
-Have been getting very depressed that this is such a problem.
-I don't want to lose itunes, but am running out of options.

iTUnes, in basic terms, does not play nice with the "Fast user switching" feature in windows turned on. THis feature (If memory serves me right) is automaticly turned on in windows when you create another user account. to turn it off, goto control panel>user accounts>change the way users log on and off.

Actiive sync stops alomg with other programs and won't close at all

Whenever I use activesync with my treo 750 the whole syatem locks up I can't open any other open program nor start applications I can'r even close the program even when using the task manager and telling it to end program nothing happens at all forced to manually turn the system off and turn it bacl om and reboot happens everytime I choose to use active sync whether by usb/cradle bluetooth or infrared always get the same response program don't respond and won't close other programs stop responding and no other aplications can be called either
Has this happened to anyone else and how did you solve it?

I am rummimg Windows XP XP MCE 2005 I installed the original CD that came with the Treo 750 Do I need to download the curent revision and where sinve can't register this till I find the S/Nfor this as the barcode label is missing as I bpught it used off Ebay and the original owner no lomger remembers it

ITunes MP3 files don't work with other programs

I want my digital music files to be compatible with all other devices so I rip to MP3 using iTunes. The ID tags that iTunes puts on the MP3 files are not compatible with other players such as Windows Media Player and Creative. Does iTunes use a propriatary format for the tags? Am I doing something wrong?

After Effects CS6 opening with a lot of alarms related to effects redundancies with other programs

After intalling Premiere pro CS6 and After effects CS6, I installed add-ons for these programs (newblue, boris, prodad...). When I open After Effects it gives me 38 cases of effects (Detail Enhancer, noise Reducer...) redundant in other programs, telling me to get rid of them.
When I check these effects in my programs, they are mainly .aex files, located in Premiere Pro CS6, Adobe Common Plug-ins, NewBlue Video effects collections 1 to 6. Some of them also exist in avid /pinnacle studio programs (my former video tools I still use to close previous video projects) before concentrating in Adobe CS6 suite. I don't know what to remove in a safe way. Premiere pro CS6 doesn't worry about redundancies ! Only After Effects...

Where, exactly, are the redundant files?
Did you use the installers for these plug-ins or install them manually?

Interfacing a java program with other programs

Hi there.
I'm curently working on a project which will involve communication between a java program (the project) and other programs, not necessarily in java.
I know there is the good old "socket method" to handle the communication, but ... are there any other methods ?

Have the two programs share a database. Have them send e-mails to each other... the list goes on.

TS1436 I've now wasted 4 hours of my life trying to burn Audio CDs from iTunes. I can burn from other programs but not iTunes. It pretends it's doing it but when it's finished the disk is blank. It's not burned a thing.

I've also tried different speeds. The CD-R says x52 but I've tried different speeds but that makes no difference.

I know I'm a mug but I was in a mood where I didn't want to be beaten and read all these tips on line and none of them worked. I've given up now as it's 1AM my time.
Yes it seems most of my songs only iTunes handles. I've tried opening them in Media Player and burning an audio CD from there but there's only a very small selection of my albums/songs and just my luck very few of those I'm trying to burn.

Can't burn with any programs

Hi everybody,
as many of you, i can't still burn using iTunes or finder or any other software( also using an external drive).
I've tried to repair permits, delete preferences,re-install programs, reset nvram or using different accounts.
Could someone give any other ideas?

I've read in another apple post that this problem could be caused by the superdrive firmware update made last summer on my iMac , during Tiger period.
I've got also a MacBook with Leopard 10.5.1 and burning works perfectly.
Backing to Tiger on Imac, everything is ok....but this is a great defeat....
