Burning youtube songs onto cd

I can easily convert youtube videos and send them to Itunes. No problem. When I try to burn a playlist of all youtube songs it won't do it. It cancels the burn right away. Anybody help?

First, make sure that they play properly in iTunes.
Assuming they do, convert them to WAV using these instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550 Put the WAV versions into a playlist, and burn to CD from that
After you verify the CD is OK, you may delete the WAVs and just keep your original versions.

  • Can you burn partial songs onto a cd??

I am just getting situated with itunes and was wondering how you can burn songs onto a cd from itunes and if you can burn only portions of songs??

    Hello peterpt,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
You can burn portions of songs by changing the Start/Stop time of each song. To do this, locate one of the songs you wish to burn a portion of, right->click on it and choose "Get Info" from the Shortcut menu. From there, head over to the options tab, where you will see two different boxes for adjusting the start and stop time.
The burn CD will only burn the song from the time you specified it to start as well as the end. Just make sure that if you want to hear the whole song after that, to change the settings back to how they were originally.
    Hope this helps.

  • Burning Modified Songs

On iTunes you are able to change the start/end time of a song. If you change the time on a certain song and burn the song onto a CD, will it start from that time or from the beginning?

This is the wrong section please post in the itunes section. This is the using the ipod mini section.

  • Trying To Fit All Songs Onto 1 CD

Hi. I'm attempting to burn 25 songs onto a single cd using iTunes 7.5 on an iMac.(I really don't want to split them onto 2 CD's).I was unable to fit all 25 onto an "audio cd"(.aif files)......so I tried burning them onto an MP3 cd.However........I find that this MP3 cd will not play on either of my CD players.I assume the problem is that my CD players which are both over 5 yrs. old cannot read the MP3 format.Therefore.....I'm wondering if there is another way to fit all these songs onto 1 CD? Is there another audio file option other than .aif or mp3 formats that could fit all on one and that most CD players can read........or is there any company that makes CD's longer than 80 min.? I'm sure I'm not the 1st person who has run into this problem......so hoping theres some workable solution.Thanks.

Some burning programs let you do what is called "overburning," e.g. Nero has an option to put 82 (rather than 80) minutes of audio onto a standard CD. You can also buy CD-R blanks that are 800 MB insead of the usual 700 MB, although iTunes will not make use of the extra.
However, when you do those kind of "tricks," it becomes very likely you will hit incompatibilities with players.
You would be much better off splitting your compilation across 2 CDs, or - now here's a thought - knocking off a few songs.

If the computer's running Mac OS X, move the cursor to the very top of the computer's screen, click on Store, and choose Authorize this Computer.
If the computer's running Windows, press the Alt and S keys and choose Authorize this Computer, or click here, follow the instructions, click on Store in the menu bar, and choose Authorize this Computer.

  • How do i burn only parts of songs onto a cd

how do i burn only parts of songs onto a cd?

Use an audio editor such as Audacity to make a separate file of the part you want and  burn that to a CD.

  • How do I burn only a portion of a song onto a disc?

How do I burn only a portion of a song onto a disc?

Select the song, do a Get Info, Options, set the start and stop times to whatever part of the song you want. OK out of there. Add song to playlist, burn to a CD. Only the selected part of the song will be burned.
Be sure to reset the start and stop times if you want to be able to listen to the full track in iTunes.
Also, you can right click on the song with the start/stop times set, pick Convert To XXX (xxx will be whatever the import preferences are set for (MP3, AAC, etc.), and a new copy of the song will be created but only the portion between the start and stop times.

  • When burning song onto a CD, the song is correct, however song label is not

I burned a single song from iTunes onto a CD for my nephew. When I got to their house and input the CD into their computer, the song title and information was for a completely different song of mine. I was worried I had burned the wrong song. After playing the CD we realized it was the right song, but the wrong label. I am concerned that this might apply to many songs. I will next burn a bunch of songs onto a CD to validate if it happens again. Has anyone had this happen before? Is there any suggested corrections? Between this and my iPhoto exclamation thumbnails appearing I have become very irritated of late with Apple.

How did you get the song title to show up? The songs I have are original, not something purchased and I'd like them to show up (rather than Track 1 or 2, etc). If I try and send them to Apple I get the "these songs don't exist we can't sell these songs so you can't name the tracks" message. Also, whenever I title the CD with "compliation" or "My songs" or "whatever" when it launches, it's called "AUDIO CD." But I can name data? Why is this?

In the case you aren't trolling, here's some alternative mapping services.
Apple is constantly working on improving their new Maps service, but until it reaches the level of finesse necessary to be usable, take a look at some alternatives.

Bing Maps offers a very good maps service with Bird's Eye, a feature similar to Flyover. It's arguably better than Google Maps.

  • How do I burn multiple playlists onto cd

    Hello all,
I just bought a new car and the stereo plays mp3 CDs. It has a feature where you can select and play an individual playlist from the cd. So there might be seven playlists on the CD (e.g., playlist one is Beatles, playlist 2 is Rolling Stones, etc.). Does anyone know if and how one can burn more than one playlist onto a CD using iTunes?. Please keep in mind that I want to keep the playlists separate on the CD. Thanks in advance.
    --mark

iTunes doesn't burn the playlist info to a CD. It simply burns the songs on a playlist to a CD.
You can burn the songs in groups in one of three ways.
    -> http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60931
If you sort the playlist by song, it burns one directory will all songs.
If you sort by Album, it will put all song in an album in an album folder.
if you sort by Artist, it will put the song in an Album folder which is inside an Artist folder.
Then on the CD player, you should be able to scroll thru the Albums or Artist.

  • Burning and Song Quality

Hi, i've been having this problem for a while. I am burning mp3 tracks onto a CD-RW through iTunes. That seems to work fine and i import the songs of the CD but when i listen to the tracks then on my iPod i notice they are now often of bad quality in that some tracks are 'fuzzy' or skip repeatedly.
I have tried seeing would repeating the process again make a difference. But when i burn the tracks, the burnt CD seems to be fine when i play it. The tracks also seem okay when i play them after importing them. However, they're still bad quality and fuzzy on my iPod. I have a feeling it could be when i sync them or play them on my iPod when the problem arise now.
Anyone ever experience the same prob? Any advice on how to get these tracks from a CD-RW at good quality?

    RuthL,
I assume then that you must be burning with a program other than iTunes? Pretty darn inefficient! Since you know where the file is, just re-add it to iTunes using the command File > Add File to Library. This command brings up a dialog which allows you to navigate to the file.
That will put the song back into your iTunes library, after which you can sync your iPod the reg'lar way. You will save many CD-R blanks!

  • Burning same song on CD

Ok, for my mom this Christmas, I wanted to give her a CD of this one song she really likes. So I was wondering if there was a a way that I could burn a CD with only one song but have the song on there like 10 or so times so it could just keep playing over and over. Is there a way to do this?

You could burn the one song onto a CD and then hit Repeat on the CD player.
Or you can drag the same song into the playlist as many times as you want. Just make sure the playlist is no longer than ~70 minutes as this is the max an audio CD will hold.
