Bursting engine and email delivery

Tim,
Please could you tell me would the custom email solution that you are writing in the blog work with the bursting engine, so that you could generate multiple documents and send them to there specific email addresses.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark
It would but the bursting engine offers a whole lot more ... Im putting together an article on the bursting engine ... will post soon.

  • Bursting engine and barcodes

    Hi, does anybody knows how to have barcodes working with the bursting engine ? I have the xdo.cfg in $XDO_TOP, the standard XMLP output has got the barcodes but the bursted PDF do not. We are launching the bursting engine from the after report trigger.
    Thanks

    Well, if you confirm that this works in normal PDF output and not during Bursting, then we may have to investigate. I would request you to log a TAR in that case. What version of xdo are you using ?

  • Bursting Engine with custom WebDAV Delivery Manager Java Program

    I have developed A custom WebDAV delivery manager and need to call it when the using the bursting engine. Is there a sample that can show me where to palce the information. I have logged a tar but they asked me to post here to see about getting an example of a bursting control file that can solve my problem. I have created a bursting java program per the users guide chapter 10 and the chapter 11 plus the XMLP blogger for the delivery manager program.
    Thanks in advance,
    Joe

    At present , you can not access the splited XML Data from any of the event. but here is the workaround to reference the required information from XML data.
    Suppose you need Element1, Element2, Element2 elements information to push the file to WebDav.
    Reference these elements in the file name as variable and parse the resulting output file name in your Java Class. You can also rename the output file with appropriate name before push it to WebDav.
    <xapi:filesystem output="c:\burst\output\ACH Remittance #${C_CHECK_NUMBER}_${Element1}_${Element2}_${Element3}.pdf" />
    Example :
    <xapi:filesystem id="123222" output="d:\burst_test\${EMPNO}_${ENAME}_${MGR}_${EMAIL}" />
    The resulting Output file name would be like.. [email protected]
    Thanks.

  • Email Bursting only Sending First Delivery

    We are using the standalone version of BIP (10.1.3.3.2), and when I try to test burst a report using email delivery BIP consistently sends the first delivery, but fails on each subsequent delivery. I suspect it has to do with my bursting SQL, but it's hard to say.
    My Data source is like this:
    <DATA>
    <K2_QUERY>
    <ROW>
    <NAME>JON GOODING</NAME>
    <BRANCH>MED</BRANCH>
    <CUSTOMER>SHASTA SERVICES INC DBA THE TIMBER</CUSTOMER>
    <VISIT_DATE>2008-06-12T00:00:00.000-07:00</VISIT_DATE>
    <CONTACT>Michael Williams - Project Mgr</CONTACT>
    <PRIORITY>Medium</PRIORITY>
    <STATUS>Closed</STATUS>
    <CALL_TYPE>Visit</CALL_TYPE>
    <DETAILS>They purchase rebar form farwest. </DETAILS>
    <ISSUE_TYPE/>
    <ACTION_DATE>null</ACTION_DATE>
    <ACTION_PLAN/>
    </ROW>
    </K2_QUERY>
    </DATA>But with more records. The template groups on branch, with multiple entries per branch.
    The bursting query simply returns an email address for each branch, along with the other required parameters.
    When I execute the query, the first delivery works fine, but each other branch delivery fails. No specific message is provided. I can change the order of my data query by altering the 'order by branch' clause to descending, and another branch is the first delivery - and is sent fine. And once again all other deliveries fail.
    Any suggestions? This is my first attempt at email bursting, and I'm looking forward to writing more reports.
    Thank you, Wolf Moritz

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply. I just figured it out. What I didn't mention was that I had two data sources, in a concatenated data model. The first query (a header date from dual) was not a repeating element in the report. It didn't seem important at the time, but it was! I just added this header date as a column in my main query and deleted the other query, and only reference it once in the report header. That did the trick.
    Thanks for the offer.

  • Email using Bursting Engine

    Hi,
    Is there a way to rename the PDF file sent by email using the bursting engine to : {$TRX_NUMBER}.pdf ?
    Thanks
    Patrick

    I have been able to rename the attached documents. After you've declared your DocumentProcessor (and before you call "process()"), you can add a listener (using registerListener(BurstingListener listener)). The listener must implement "BurstingListener" which has the following methods:
    public void beforeProcess()
    public void afterProcess()
    public void beforeProcessRequest(int requestIndex)
    public void afterProcessRequest(int requestIndex)
    public void beforeProcessDocument(int requestIndex, int documentIndex)
    public void afterProcessDocument(int requestIndex,int documentIndex, Vector documentOutputs)
    public void beforeDocumentDelivery(int requestIndex, int documentIndex, String deliveryId)
    public void afterDocumentDelivery(int requestIndex,int documentIndex, String deliveryId, Object deliveryObject, Vector attachments)
    In "afterProcessDocument" you can look at "documentOutputs" which is a Vector of Strings containing the full path (including filename) of the attachments. In this method you can move the file (or copy it) to a filename of your choosing. Then you simply update the Vector with the new filename. And that's it! The renamed file is attached to the email.
    Hope this helps.

  • Email links out of Practice Fusion are not active (as they are in IE), which they say is a problem with "something lost in the communication between the Flash engine and the browser". Does anyone have experience with this?

    This is a medical records system, cloud based. I use Firefox to get into the system, but any browser would work. Other than this problem, Firefox works fine (better than IE, in my opinion).
    Patient demographics include their email, which is hyperlinked and should go right to Outlook (my default email program). This works in IE, but nothing happens on the click when using Firefox as the browser.
    I queried Practice Fusion, which replied: In regards to your previous question about the email hyperlink in the patient information, it looks this is not something that can be fixed on our end right now. It is the web browsers' responsibility to handle these types of links, and there seems to be something lost in the communication between the Flash engine and the browser. I apologize for any inconvenience.
    Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

  • RecipientThreadLimitExceeded in message tracking logs, queuing and holding up local email delivery to office365

    Please let me know if anyone knows an answer to this one... We're in a Hybrid Exchange environment, with 2 x Exchange 2007 servers,  and 1 x Exchange 2013 Hybrid server which is pointing to Office 365 for the purposes of relaying mail to O365 while
    we migrate our users out there.
    We have just finished migrating, but just a couple of days ago we started experiencing delays in email delivery to O365... Not all mail, but some!  Incoming email or locally generated email gets relayed out through the Hybrid server and out to O365,
    but not all email is delayed... only some, but it's constant.  During the busiest part of the day, about 200 messages are sitting in the Queue in Exch2013... but they all eventually resolve between 5 and 45minutes.  The users are not happy.
    The last error in the queue viewer for each hung email reads:  451 4.4.0 Temporary server error.  Please try again later.
    If I look at the message tracking logs, I find an interesting item -- "RecipientThreadLimitExceeded":
    2014-05-15T14:15:51.608Z,192.168.3.11,hydra,207.46.163.215,company-mail-onmicrosoft-com.mail.protection.outlook.com,RecipientThreadLimitExceeded,Outbound to Office 365,SMTP,DEFER,10307921510617,<[email protected]>,885ea3ce-a020-41b1-8950-08d13e58d6d3,[email protected],451

    I have tried to find some documentation on resolution for this RecipientThreadLimitExceeded error, but I can only come up with some Exchange 2011 documentation which recommends adding some entries to the EdgeTransport.exe.config file to bump up the RecipientThreadLimit
    value... I have not found anything pertaining to 2013.  I cannot even find any powershell commands to see what the current RecipientThreadLimit is on 2013!  Aghg!
    Has anyone seen this before, or have any recommendations?
    Thank you,
    Mike

    After many days of frustration, Microsoft Support finally resolved this issue.  Believe it or not, but the issue was actually on the Office365 side.  Here's the fix:
    Exchange Admin Center -> Mail Flow -> Connectors -> Inbound Connectors
    Open your "Inbound from <guid>" with the "On-premises" connector type
    Click on Scope -> scroll down to "Associated accepted domains"
    We had an entry in there "<organization>.mail.onmicrosoft.com"... Microsoft support had us remove this entry so that the box was completely empty.
    That RESOLVED it... amazing what what little entry could do.  We've had this entry in there for about 2 months, and it had been working fine.  Support acknowledged that several customers have had this issue, that they are working on getting it
    fixed on the back-end.
    Hope this helps somebody...

    I seriously doubt your control file is a working one. Can you upload your working/correctly formatted file?
    Or check this working sample below. Hope this helps.

  • XML Publisher 5.6.1 Bursting Engine Issue

    We are patched to XML Publisher 5.6.1 in EBS. We have created a JCP to call the BURSTING ENGINE.
    The JCP is instantiating the DocumentProcessor class and calling the process method. However, it is generating a DELIVERY MANAGER (which makes me very CONFUSED) error saying:
    oracle.apps.xdo.batch.DeliveryHelper][EXCEPTION] oracle.apps.xdo.delivery.MissingRequiredPropertyException: Required property missing. Property name :[SMTP_TO_RECIPIENTS]
    at oracle.apps.xdo.delivery.AbstractDeliveryRequest.validateProperties(AbstractDeliveryRequest.java:1364)
    HAS ANYONE ENCOUNTERED THIS PROBLEM IN XML PUBLISHER 5.6.1? IS THIS A KNOWN PROBLEM? I JUST NEED TO KNOW IF THIS IS REALLY A 5.6.1 ISSUE (OR MY ISSUE) AND IF IT IS, THEN WE WILL UPGRADE TO 5.6.2 or 5.6.3?!?!?!
    Thanks!

    sounds like you are setting the to property in the wrong spot. Is the to set in the xapi: message id="123" to="[email protected]" ?

  • Email Delivery Option - Simple TEXT Output is coming as an attachment

    Hi All,
    I am trying to use R12.1.3 feature "Delivery Option" while Submitting Concurrent Program "Payables Open Interface Import" using FND_SUBMIT with email Delivery Option and email is coming with an attachment (Concurrent Program Output).
    Email Body is blank (as expected if Output is coming as an attachment), as per documentation if CP Output is in TEXT Format then Email body should show the Output instead of an attachment.
    My Question, is if Output is TEXT why it is coming as an attachment, do I need to Configure something?
    I am using and it is working fine(not sure if any of the argument is required to Set "SMTP_CONTENT_TYPE",
    l_ret := fnd_request.add_delivery_option
    (type => FND_DELIVERY.TYPE_EMAIL
         ,p_argument1 => 'Quick Invoice to Workbench Transfer Details' -- Subject
         ,p_argument2 => '[email protected]' -- From
         ,p_argument3 => l_email_add -- To
         ,p_argument4 => '[email protected]'); -- CC
    In Java Based Concurrent Program example, I foudn this line, not sure how to do that using PL/SQL
    req.addProperty(DeliveryPropertyDefinitions.SMTP_CONTENT_TYPE, "application/pdf");
    Please Help.

  • What is the actual status of my Silver iPhone 6 Plus 128GB preorder that was confirmed completed by 3:35AM EST?  Reps and websites and emails are ALL messed up.

    So, I placed my order by 3:35 AM EST for my Silver 6 plus 128GB.  All the way through the process, from selecting the phone to the submission confirmation screen on the web it stated delivery by 9/19.  I received my email confirmation and that showed the order date as 9/12 and the delivery date as 9/12.  Well I knew that would not be right.
    So then I go online to check the order status and it states the order has been received and the expected SHIP date is 10/14.  WHAT?!?
    So I called Vz and spoke with a rep who stated that he wasn't sure why it showed that but my ship date would be 9/19.  Call #1
    Well that's fine, I knew he probably mixed those words up.
    So then I check on 9/13 to see if it was updated online, still showed 10/14.  So I call again and this time the Vz rep places me on hold then comes back and says I am sorry to say that your expected ship date is 10/14.  Flustered and irritated I ask how that can happen and change from all the other notices stating the 19th (or sooner according to the email which she laughed about).  Call #2
    So today, I decide to check again after Noon EST and now all day it has said that the expected ship date is NOT AVAILABLE?
    Checking this community, looking at tweets and posts I see all conflicting information, some people getting getting ship notices but most of those are just the 6 and not the plus.
    Where can I find a straight answer.  I have seen another poster state that anyone who completed their order the first couple hours of ordering on the 12th will definitely receive on the 19th according to what they have been told by a Vz rep but honestly with the mixed messages I have seen personally I am not putting a lot of faith in what was told to him.
    OH, also I can only check my order by my preorder confirmation and not my order number.  When trying to check with my order number it gives an error message saying that is not a valid number.
    I have been a customer for almost 20 years, and this is making me think about switching.

    We know everyone is super exited about these great phones. As your order moves through the process, you can check the status at http://bit.ly/RjmCUB. You may not be able to see a change from Processing until it officially ships, then you'll see the tracking number. If you've received a confirmation email that your order was submitted, any additional information throughout the fulfillment process will be sent to that same email address.

  • Bursting Reports via email with seperate email address for each page

    I have been reading "Oracle® Application Server Reports Services Publishing Reports to the Web" (most specifically chapter 15 Creating Advanced Distributions) trying to figure this out but still having difficulty getting my head around it.
    I am trying to email invoices when applicable. Here is the "perfect world scenario".
    Report is scheduled to run once a day.
    Any qualifying invoices are picked up in the run.
    If there is an email address associated with the record the invoice is sent via email. (email address would be included on report and variable)
    If no email address is associated, the invoice is printed.
    There could/would be several different invoices on a single run.
    Does this mean I have to write dynamically write a distribution.xml file for each run or can I pass the email address as a variable to the distribution.xml?
    (builder version 10.1.2.0.2)

    Edited by: sdortch on May 21, 2009 9:09 AM

    Hi !
    You're able to use Report-Variables (e.g. from a Group in the Data Model) in the distribution.xml-File to send email to different adresses.
    Just bear in mind that you also need to set the "repeat-on" Property of the relevant layout section and use a "foreach"-Loop in the distribution.xml.
    So, no, no "dynamic" building of xml-Files necessary (though we do it at times...).
    See also "Publishing Reports to the web" for a complete reference on "burst distribution" and the components of the distribution.xml
    I would, however, run the report twice, once for "all email-invoices" with email-distribution file, once for "all invoices w/o email-adress" with (probably) printer-distribution file, as "exception" handling inside a distribution.xml could be a bit awkward...
    Cheers,

  • I pre-ordered an iPhone 6 Plus and the delivery date now says October 14th. The point of the pre-order is to get it on release day (or shortly thereafter). Can I go to a Verizon store to pick up my new phone on release day?

    I pre-ordered an iPhone 6 Plus and the delivery date now says October 14th. The point of the pre-order is to get it on release day (or shortly thereafter). Can I go to a Verizon store to pick up my new phone on release day?

    I'm not sure that answers the question Candice.
    I'm in the same situation.  I was up trying to get on the Verizon page at 11:55, kept getting the ECPD error.  When finally got through, the Silver Iphone Plus 64 showed arrival of 9-19.  At every step of the process, it seemed that I was ordering a phone that would arrive on day1.  At no point did it say this was an estimate.  At no point did it say it might change.  In a big yellow box, it said "9-19".  Ordered it, then got confirmation email stating it should arrive at 9-19.   Seems like all should be good, right?  Order site said 9-19, I've got a confirmation email saying 9-19, done and done.
    Then I check the website, and suddenly it changed to 10-14?!?!?!?  I feel like this was a bait and switch.  I was able to pickup an iphone5 in a local store on launch day, and would not have locked myself into a preorder through Verizon if I had known this would happen!
    So, that leads back to the original questions.  Lets assume I walk into a Verizon store on 9-19, and there is an available iphone6 plus just sitting there, can I either get that phone as fulfillment of my pre-order.  Or, cancel my pre-order and buy that phone right then and there?
