Bus Rules won't migrate - 11.1.1.3

Hi,
We have 4 applications. We use LCM and migrate all the artifacts from Dev to Test. For all applications, everything comes over. Except in one application the Bus Rules do not migrate. The LCM process complets with 'Successful' too, thus there is nothing in the logs to indicate why they don't show up in Calc Mgr.
Anyone have any idea why/how only one apps BR's won't migrate?
Also is there a utility similiar to formdef utility for webforms that migrates BR's?
Thanks

Try exporting from EAS:

  • Why won't Mail.app rules won't migrate, System Tiger to System Leopard?

    Hi,
Mail.app rules won't migrate from System Tiger to System Leopard.
    Here's what I did:
-- Clean install of System Leopard 10.5.6 onto a new Mac Pro.
-- Used Migration Assistment to move files from System Tiger to System Leopard 10.5.6.
-- Mail.app's rules failed to migrate.
So, I manually finder-copied MessageRules.plist into the proper folder to replace the newly created and empty rules set in System Leopard's mail.app, and afterwards, the rules then showed up in mail's preferences.
However, the "manually migrated" [finder copied] rules won't run.
In order to narrow the scope of the problem, I moved the former System Tiger's mail.app rules to the desktop and allowed mail.app to re-create a new rules plist file, then I created a test rule and it worked.
    Questions:
Why won't System Tiger's mail.app rules files migrate to System Leopard, and won't work upon manual migration?
What is the remedy to "properly import" the rules to the new [System Leopard based] mail.app, or to make the manually moved rules plist file work?
For what it's worth I did follow the procedures at
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread....9306&tstart=90
in order to make the messages migrate, but that failed to affect the rules.
    Thanks much,
    Jack

  • Calc Mgr - 11.1.1.3.05  -  Migrating Bus Rules not working

    Hi,
I'm trying to migrate Bus Rules from one environment to another. I did the extracts of the artifacts on the source system. Copied the files to the target system i the correct user directory. When i go through migration, I select all the Bus Rules to migrate. It says completed. I then log into target system Calc Mgr and the BR's are not showing up under each app. I have refreshed numerous times and even logged in/out and still nothing. I have done this probably 100 times with no issues until now. I also tried restarting all the services etc...
    stumped :(

When our Calc Manager Rules disappeared, it was because HSP_CALC_MGR_RULES was not storing the rules properly in SQL Server.
The impacted part of the BODY field was <ruleid="0" name"">. The ruleid should be equal to the ID field, and the name should not be null.
We had a similar issue with disappearing variables in HSP_CALC_MGR_VARIABLES.
We ended up having to apply a patch to clean this up. Once we had to restore the tables and restart services.
I know this is not a solution, and I apologize for that, but hopefully it will give you an idea of where to start looking.
    Good Luck,
    Tim

  • Shared Services 11.1.1.3 - Problem importing Bus Rules from LCM Exports

    Hi,
We have some Bus Rules in Calc Mgr that are named the same as the corresponding webform. For instance, a bus rule may be named '2.1.4 - Budget Load'. When we export all bus rules and then try and import them in to target (can be same server), they say they were successful, however none show up in Calc Mgr. After exhaustive testing, we took out the period (.) in the name and made it '2_1_4 - Budget Load' and it worked fine and migrates ok. My question is if anyone knows if this is a know issue bug or are periods not allowed like parens in Bus Rules names? It's weird as I swear this was working on a earlier version of Shared Services. We are upgraded to the latest patch on Shared Services too.
Anyone have an older version of 11.1.1.3 Shared Services that they can test this on for me? Thinking Oracle may not have regression tested :)

Straight from Oracle Support.... What a joke their regression testing is.....
    Thank you for your updates.
I found the following Bug for 11.1.1.3. It is as follows :
"Bug 8489999 - Filenames without ext, with artifact ids containing "." are not migrated. "
According to the Development Team, it is validated with Drop 5 build 17.
When discussing this issue with the Development Team earlier today, they wanted to check if this behaviour is noticed even when using 'admin' and Application Owner Account.

  • Migrating from Oracle to SQL Server - data won't migrate but no errors

I'm attempting to migrate a database from an Oracle 11g (11.1.0.7.0 64-bit) database to a SQL Server 2008 R2 (10.50.4033.0).  I'm using SSMA, and the Oracle tool was installed on the target SQL Server by the DBA.  I've completed all the steps up
to and including synchronizing the database, and the empty tables all exist in SQL Server.  When I run the step to migrate the data, I get:
    Migrating data...
    Analyzing metadata...
    Preparing table POLICYS.LOGINS...
    Preparing data migration package...
    Starting data migration Engine
    Starting data migration...
    Data migration operation has finished.
        0 table(s) successfully migrated.
        0 table(s) partially migrated.
        1 table(s) failed to migrate.
Then a summary box appears, and there is a red X next to the table (I'm trying to just convert 1 small table to begin with.)  What immediately appears to be wrong is that the "To" table is blank.
I've attempted this multiple times, different tables (initially tried all tables) and tried both Server Side and Client Side migrations with the same result.  There are no errors or warnings on the Error List.
I've found another online post where the user had the same issue, but in that instance they fixed it by changing the case of the table name. I tried that, but it didn't help.  I'm not sure what is wrong that it won't migrate any data.  Any help
    is appreciated.  TIA

  • Rules won't work on read mail

I have various rules set up in Mail.app which usually work fine for new mail that I download.
However if I have already read an email on my iPhone during the day (from my .me IMAP account), when I get home in the evening the email still downloads to Mail - which is good, I like to archive all my mail offline - but won't follow the rules. They just sit in the inbox, marked as read/unbold. Basically the rules only appear to work on new/unread emails.
Is there any way I can fix this so the rules always work, regardless?

For the sake of example, we are going to pretend that we are setting up fictional account "[email protected]" and the password for logging into that account in webmail is "fakepassword" - Again, this is a fictitious account for the sake of an example.
The settings for using Verizon's servers would be:
    Incoming Server: pop.verizon.net
    Server Requires Authentication: Yes
    Username: fakeacct
    Password: fakepassword
Requires a Secure Connection (SSL): Yes
    Port: 995
    Outgoing Server: smtp.verizon.net
Server Requires Authentication: Yes (You can set it to use the same settings as incoming, or manually enter the username and password.)
Requires a Secure Connection (SSL): Yes
    Port: 465
If you are given the option anywhere for Secure Password Authentication (SPA), set it to No or Normal
These settings should work unless you have a Verizon/Yahoo account, in which case the server names are: incoming.yahoo.verizon.net -and- outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net
If all of that is set up and it's still not working, your best bet is to provide a screenshot of your settings (with personal information blocked/removed) and any errors you are getting.

  • Udev/hal rules won't automount my ipod

After following directions in the wiki articles on hal and udev to get my ipod to automount and generate the /dev/ipod device, I'm at a loss because nothing seems to work as explained. (I'm running Arch64 with LXDE)
I've added the following rule to /etc/hal/fdi/policy/ipod.fdi:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <device>
    <match key="@block.storage_device:storage.model" string="iPod">
    <merge key="volume.policy.desired_mount_point" type="string">ipod</merge>
    <merge key="volume.policy.mount_option.iocharset=iso8859-15" type="bool">true</merge>
    <merge key="volume.policy.mount_option.sync" type="bool">true</merge>
    </match>
    </device>
I've added the following rule to /etc/udev/rules.d/60-ipod.rules
    BUS=="usb", ATTRS{manufacturer}=="Apple*", ATTRS{model}=="iPod*", KERNEL=="sd?2", SYMLINK+="ipod", NAME="%k", GROUP="storage"
When I plug in the ipod, Pcmanfm will show 'Apple Ipod Music Player' in the left column with the other drives. When I click on it, it will properly mount the ipod to /media/{name of ipod}. I would like it to mount every ipod at /media/ipod, and create a link /dev/ipod. I haven't put anything in the fstab yet, but in any case, the /dev/ipod link is not created. I know the udev rules work, because it will create the correct link for /dev/pilot when I plug in my Palm.
Help! I'm trying hard to wrap my brain around this, and I don't understand why it's not creating the /dev/ipod link. I've restarted the computer and restarted hal and reloaded udev rules multiple times with no changes.
    Thanks!
    Scott

Ahhh....thank you!  If I take out the 'last_rule' option it does indeed show up on pcmanfm. However, I think it's happening somewhere outside the parsing of the udev rules (perhaps HAL???) because even if I moved the local rules to the very last (99-local.rules) but kept in the 'last_rule' option, it would still not show up.
Now, second problem is trying to distinguish between flash drive and ipod. I thought you could use a != on an attribute. The rules below still result in /dev/sdb2 on the ipod getting mounted twice .... once to /media/ipod and once to /media/usbhd-sdb2.

  • Business Rules won't run

in Essbase 9.3 on Enterprise View, Business Rules, Repository view, Projects NONE of my scripts will launch. i can sort of open and but they won't execute. i can copy but i can't run them. i'm dying here because i have got to copy a version to version
so, question 1 is how to get the business rules to work?
and question 2 is what's the code (i know it's really really simple) to copy one version to another
    help!

Restarting services is always a good thing to try, Also I recommend logging into My Oracle Support and having a read of doc id - 763345.1
It goes through different options for resolving business rules issues.
One example to copy version is :-
    DATACOPY Working TO Final;
You may want to put a FIX around it to restrict what you want to copy.

  • Update rule to transformation migration error

Error produced during update rule (BW3.5) to transformation migration. During start routine validation check it states that ' The data object 'COMM_STRUCTURE' has no component called 'BIC/ZCH_FABC1'  but there is a component called 'BIC/ZCH_FAAC1'.
Even though this component is exist as part of communication structure, migration setup is producing an error.
System is BI SP 16 level. OSS message is created, if you have experienced any similar issues, pls. share and let us know.
    Thanks, Vijay Rama.

    Hi VJ,
The ideal best practice is to replace the Routines manually. As BI 7.0 wont hold Comm. structure, You are facing this problem.
So you replace Comm.Structure to with Source_Fields.
So while migrating the routines do it manually.
You can find a lot of info in SDN if you search using the related terms
    regarding Migration.
    Hope this Helps

  • Why won't migrated files show up in search or in "all my files" despite being perfectly accessible?

I have just migrated all my files to a new macbook pro from an old macbook pro and ì have stumbled upon a minor issue: all my files are here, and work perfectly fine, but they won't show up if I do a search in finder or in "all my files"  until I modify them (for a microsoft word document anyway). Music that I play  will show up in search but not in "all my files" if is not included in the itunes folder in my music, but if it comes from the itunes folder it won't show up in either even if I play it. Is there an easy way to solve this problem? It's not too much of an issue but opening every file or attempting to make it show may be cumbersome.

    Hey there Cabocel,
it sounds like you're not seeing all you files in your All My Files list as expected. It seems to me like you need to re-index your Spotlight. The following article will help you do that:

  • Printers won't migrate correctly from 2k to xp

We use Personality Migration from ZENworks 7. Everything seems to be working ok except for the printer migration. I'm able to export the settings from a win2k installation, but when I try and import them back to a windows xp installation the printers don't migrate correctly. Usually it will spray printer icons on the desktop and then bring up the add new hardware wizard. If I cancel out of the new hardware wizard most of the printers install correctly, but sometimes the printers just don't import. I can see them in the registry, but they don't show up in the control panel. They won't show up either if I just try and reinstall them. I have to completely remove the printer from the registry and then reinstall.
I've seen a couple other threads on this with no responses. Is there no work around for this?

    Eric
Had the same issue. I'm going to guess the printers are IP based? What is happening is DNA can't see printers that aren't in the default Windows cabs/drivers. So, if it can't find the driver, it runs it's own "add printer" routine, which puts the icons on the desktop.
We tried restoring, then running some reg hacks to delete the icons and reset some registry keys (the runonce key in particular). It didn't work because when you run a restore, it unloads Windows Explorer to do so...which unloads the nal. When done, it reloads Explorer, not the NAL. So, if you do a restore and then try to do "run after" scripts, the nal isn't there to finish them out.
The commercial version of the product has a script that will prevent Windows Explorer from closing....but the Novell version doesn't. Using the registry hacks can help you brute force the problem, but without the script, you are stuck.
We gave up. All our printers are iPrint, so we don't migrate them, customers have been acceptable to go install them again from the maps.
IF you happen upon a good solution, please post it.

  • HFM rule won't run against ECA

I have a very simple rule in HFM v11.1.2 that runs against ECA, but won't execute during normal consolidation, it will only execute by using a force calculate command.  Any suggestions to allow this to run during normal consolidation?  The data in the 1750_3P account is being populated by rules, not by a posted journal.
    Here is the rule:
    If pov_scenario = "ACT" and is_base = True and pov_value = "<Entity Curr Adjs>" Then
            HS.Clear "A#1750_3P"
    End If 'pov_scenario
    Thank you,

    Hi HTM_Ptc,
What is is_base referring to ? This rule should be run during calculation. Or if it still unsuccessful, would you try using this :
    IF strYEar = " " AND strPeriod = " " AND strScenario = " " Then
    Select Case Hs.Value.Member
    Case "<Entity Curr Adjs>"
    ...[your clear statement]
    End Select
    End IF

  • Mail Rule Won't Deactivate

I was playing with the rules in Mail, setting up background colors for certain emails. It wasn't working as intended, so I deleted the rules. Now, all of my messages are shown in a highlighted color, that won't go away. The rules have been deleted. Attached is a screen shot for reference.
    Any help is much appreciated.

Well, I was able to find a roundabout way to solve this problem.
I created a new rule that changed the background color of messages to white. Applied the rule to all messages. Expanded all conversations. Once all background colors revereted to white, I went back and deleted the rule.
All seems to be back to normal.

  • My "color coded" rules won't apply to Mac Mail

Using mail version 6.3.  I created a rule to color code all messages from a sender in a particular group in my address book.  Clicked on Apply rule to all messages in inbox and future messages but it won't color code anything in my inbox.  Any advice?

I had a similar problem. This was my thread and the answer was (for some unknown reason) a couple of my mailboxes had become 'read only' which prevented the rules from applying.
Try right clicking one of the messages you want moved and select Move to/whatever mailbox. When I tried this is when I got the error message saying the target mailbox was read only.
