Business activity duration error

Hi,
When I create business activity on my crm system duration field occurs initial in some cases.
Duration is INITIAL in the case shown below,
18.01.2008 00:00 - 18.01.2008 02:00
Duration is true in the case shown below,
18.01.2008 02:00 - 18.01.2008 03:00
Date profile is 'Activity: Actual' which use date rule 'Actual Date (Activities)'. Time zone: EET.

Do you have a source control system (svn, git,...) you use with the application?
The Model,jpr file is corrupt which may cause trouble later. Right now everything looks working, but there might some display problems when you open e.g. the application module or VO.
Save the current (corrupt?) jpr file and try to restore it from the repository until you find one which loads without the problem. Once you have on select the project in the application navigator and click on refresh (ctrl-r). This should add missing content back again.

Hi Experts,
I am failing to save a new business activity in SAP BPC 10.1 when setting up a new business process flow. I can validate the the activity successfully, however when I try to save the activity i receive the following message " Saving the workspace failed because of a missing root folder; contact your system administrator"
Please can anyone help me with why I am receiving this message?

The error you're getting in BPC 10.1 is because the environments were migrated from BPC 10.0 or older version using transaction UJBR and it was not migrated to 10.1 after the restore.
SAP Note 2052538 provides resolution for this. Please follow the instructions of Upgrade Guide for BPC NW 10.1:
Execute migration program UJT_MIGRATE_100_TO_101 to migrate 10.0 data to 10.1 if the restored environment was backed up from a BPC NW 10.0 system
Execute migration program UJT_MIGRATE_75_TO_101 to migrate 7.5 data to 10.1 if the restored environment was backed up from a BPC NW 7.5 system

Error Occured when deleting the Business Activity

Hi All,
I try to delete one record of the Business Activity, but there was an error.
The operation is as follows:
Business Activity->delete
After i press Yes, there was an error: At lease one entry could not be found in object buffer, the Message No. is CRM_ORDER_MISC106.
After pressing Enter, thre was another error: Administration header could not be found DE02500F7FC614F1A6C30017A43C63A4. Message No. CRM_ORDERADM_H004.
Who konw how to deal with this issue, please kindly to tell me, thanks a lot!

Check your implementation of ORDER_SAVE BADI and in case if you have CRM_ORDER_READ FM make sure that you have the EXCEPTIOM part of this FM. What I ment is
    EXCEPTIONS
      document_not_found   = 1
      error_occurred       = 2
      document_locked      = 3
      no_change_authority = 4
      no_display_authority = 5
      no_change_allowed    = 6
      OTHERS               = 7.
If you have this you should not get the error mentioned.

Business partner UserID is shown in business activity

HI Experts,
I have a problem related to Business partner Roles ...
When i try to create a business activity, the system shows my UserID instead of showing my Business partner Number.
For Example: UserID-deepak (Employee Responsible) and Business partner No-"100"
I want the system to show the Business partner No-"100"
Could somebody please help me in getting the right settings....

Are you getting any errors when you enter your business partner in the business activity? ''doesn't exist" or something else. If you are not getting any error messages then that means your partner is already existing in the system.
Generally in the system, the BP number along with the user name of employee is displayed. In you case can you check if there are some customizations maintained or not. Is this happening for a Z Transaction Type or in the SAP Standard Transaction Types.
You can also check the Partner Determination Procedure in the SAP IMG Customization. There in the "define access sequence" you can get the accesses and the kind of partner functions displayed.

Active X Error when running web checkout/web reports

Hi,
I am installing BO Planning X1.5 against a SQL Server database.
However, I am getting an Active X error when trying to launch web checkout/web reports.
I get to the log on page and then get the error message:
"There was an error initializing the ActiveX client"
Do you know why this would be? (I am able to get to the web checkout/web reports from the server, however not on any client machine)

Test Standard Web Template in BI (both directions)
This test will check the ABAP to Java and Java to ABAP communication. Additionally, this check will ensure that the new Java-based BEx Web runtime is working.
1. Run Report RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN_70
2. Enter Template ID 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN
3. Choose Program / Execute
4. Choose Analyse / Validate
5. Choose Analyse / Execute in Debug Mode
A Web Browser is opened and you have to logon to the Portal. Finally, an empty Analysis Pattern (without data) should appear.
Error messages during executing Web Template
If only a blank screen or message "Access Denied" appears, see note 872043.
If message "Error while loading the Web template "0ANALYSIS_PATTERN" (return value "5")" appears, activate Content (see topic Additional Information below).

Activate Web Template of BI Content
Please perform the following steps to activate a Web Template of BI Content:
1. Logon to BI System
2. Start transaction Data Warehouse Workbench (transaction code RSA1)
3. Choose register Business Content (left pane)
4. Select Object Types
5. Expand BEx Web Template in tree (middle pane)
6. Double click on Select Objects
7. Choose 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN (or any other Web Template of the BI Content)
8. Object will be transferred to right pane
9. Press button Install / Install to activate the Web Template
Now, you can execute the activated Web Template.

ODS data Activation with error BRAIN060

I have the next situation with the data activation in a ODS. The ODS have the extraction completed, but when I try to do the manual activation a error BRAIN 060 is caused:
1st.:

Diagnosis
The following standard characters are valid in characteristic values as default:

Characteristic values are not allowed if they only consist of the character "#" or begin with "!". If the characteristic is compounded, this also applies to each partial key.

The error is the master data and the assigment SID; but the extraction did without PSA; only datatarget. With this I can´t modify the data erroneus.
Is possible force the activation or I can apply other correction that not be repeat the extraction?

Hi Jeysi,
You can make the changes in ODS. If this request is not activated yet, in this case this data is available in your New Table of the ODS. You can make the changes in this data directly in this new Table.
After doing this changes it will allow to activate this request. Also you can find this New Table in object configuration.
Or
Go to Manage of ODS -> Go to Contents TAb-> In this Button at bottom with New Data. Please go through this and make the changes in New Data.
But prior doing this changes please check / analyse the reason correctly as per business requirement. Suggest them to take care of this in future to end users.

Sorry to say this, but you must stop rewarding your own threads. A user registered today (10/25//2007) and posted many threads and always rewarded you as thread completed. I dodn't think it is a coincidence.
If every SDN member starts playing this dirty trick, then there is no meaning to use SDN. SDN is for the people who share their good project experiences by helping other members by answering the issue.
As I mentioned before, I should take up this issue with SAP officials if this happens again.
Not only you, some other members were also recently started practicing the same trick, which is not a good thing.
Hope you understood the voice of other forum members like me.

I downloaded Blue Fire Reader and it requested an adobe id. I clicked on the link that was in the error message stated http//adeactivateadobe.com. Found out that if the date and time on my Ipad is wrong that it won't let me download a book. I was off 5 hours. I reset my clock settings and adobe id let me download a book from the library. I am back to using Overdrive and adobe again on my ipad.

Like wise if I create a customer contact in ISU that should create in CRM as Business contact with same number range..

If this is a Characterstic defined - definitely this will be getting populated from Billing document in SD Module. Secondly, there could be a derivation rule defined as per your configuration. Derivation rules can be checked in Transaction code - KEDR.

Welcome to Numbers discussions.
When spreadsheets first appeared, I'm going back to the original Lotus 123, they were used by many folks and organizations as flat file databases so the short answer is yes you could do it.
After reading your request a better answer would be to look at a relational database such as File Maker Pro and their new Beneto perhaps. Of course it depends on your needs, type of data recorded etc. Based on your reporting desires personally I'd lean towards database not a spreadsheet.
Do evaluate your needs, what you want out of your data now and down the road. I wouldn't want to start with a spreadsheet then realize months, years later it should have been in a database—been there done that got that tee shirt and scars. I've worked with many that this happened to. UGH!
I'm sure others will jump in here with other more helpful suggestions.

Pop-Up Menus and active content errors - Help!

I'm attempting to add pop-up menus to my navigation bar, to
make my site more user-friendly, but to no avail:
I've tried designing pop-up menus in Fireworks, then
importing the html code in, but that gives me errors when I try to
insert the bar. Then, I tried putting my menus in different layers,
with a "show layer" behavior on the button, and a "hide layer"
behavior attached to the roll-off of the layer, but my version of
Dreamweaver won't attach a behavior to a layer.
Then, I noticed the tech-note on this site for the fix to use
pop-ups in a template, so I added pop-up menus directly to my
navigational buttons using the wizard. So here's where my problem
comes in. . .
When I preview my page, it throws up an active content error,
but will still run. I uploaded it to my remote server, but when I
went to the url, no action takes place when I put my cursor over
it. Anybody have any ideas on how to create a pop-up menu that
won't throw up an active content error? I've seen them on plenty of
websites before, but can't figure how to do them.
Any light you could shed would be greatly appreciated!

Sometimes, they make your site less user-friendly. So be
careful.
The DW/FW pop-up menus are usually something that should be
avoided. They
are very poorly thought out and implemented, and will likely
cause you
continuing problems. It's foolish to devote the time to them
that could be
more effectively be placed elsewhere, especially since there
are better
options that work right out of the box, so to speak. Please
check the free

Business Activity in SAP CRM 7.0 WebUI

Hello SAP Experts,
In SAP CRM 7.0, under maintain activities, I have assigned categories to class interaction log, appointments and tasks.
The same categories have been assigned to some business activities. For example Category Sales Call (001) is assigned to Interaction Log. The sales call is in turn assigned to Transaction Type- Business Activity.
When I log on to web ui, I am able to see this business activity under Interaction Log and create the transaction.
In the same way, when I assign category u2013CX4 (Telephone Call) to class Phone Call to a Transaction Type-Sales Call (0001-business activity), I am not able to see the same in web ui.
The same holds good when categories are assigned to Class Miscellaneous, Letter, Meeting, E-mail etc, are in turn assigned to transaction types are visible in web ui.
Kindly clarify, whether all the business activities fall under APPOINTMENT, INTERACTION LOG, TASK, E-MAIL AND VISIT PLAN in WEB UI.
The other category class, apart from the above mentioned, where can they be used?
If yes, how do I do the customizing which would enable me to see all in WEB UI?

Hi Raghavendran,
I am facing the same problem. Other than Appointments,Tasks,Email and Interaction record I cannot create any other Activities.
I defined a new Transaction type assigned the category Misc but cannot create the Activity on WEBUI. As Raja suggested I have also assigned the Channel as WEBUI and ICWEBCLIENT but still does not work. Is there any Role specific customization that needs to be performed?
Please let me know if your issue is resolved and how you resolved it.

Activity means e.g.. sales call, customer visit etc.
But service process means after you sale your product if some service related issue arrives then that is taken care by this transaction.
